Came here for their brunch special of classic breakfast on a Saturday for $10.95, but a drink has to be purchased for this so I got a simple orange juice. The OJ ended up to be $4.50 - it tastes diluted with water & half cup of ice in it. The breakfast was just ok. Scrambled eggs are mediocre & bland. Diced potatoes were kind of cold. Had Ribs dinner and $0.45 wings night with friends and were happy with our stay. The place is very busy and I can see they're short staffed but our server was very consistent in doing great at her job who always check our needs and making sure our table is doing okay. The Ribs is great, very tender meat and had a great taste. The salt and pepper wings are also great, a bit of crispy and juicy although they're a bit small pieces. I came here with B and B. I have heard a lot of good things about this place beforehand. I was told they had the cheapest wings in town and it is not only during happy hour or on a Wednesday. It is almost everyday for 35 cents. Except the weekend and Friday where it is only during happy hour. They also have other daily specials too. Came here on a Monday so their special was any pizza for one fix price. I didn't get the pizza. B and I ordered wings. I got the honey garlic and teriyaki wings with a side blue cheese dip. B got spicy Thai and dry Cajun. I liked the honey garlic more than the teriyaki flavoured wings. B's spicy Thai wasn't bad and it wasn't super spicy either. The dry Cajun tasted great with the blue cheese dip. Note the dip is an extra 50 cents (all restaurants charges this), toss is an extra 50 cents per flavour (saucy wings). In the past, you don't need to order a drink in order to get the cheap wings. They changed it. After doing the math, they no longer have the cheapest wings in town. Also they have plenty of free parking at the back. Biggest issue for me is that this pub is out of the way. read more

Hello 35 cents wings (from Monday to Thursday). I like this place for a casual pub food. The place is quite big and is usually busy, even on weeknights. There is a decent size parking lot out front so you do not have to search for parking. Location is convenient to home, and is close to Lougheed Highway and to #1. Besides the wings, I have tried Ribs Wednesdays and Pasta Tuesdays. The ribs was tender and slid off the bones easily. The sauce was tasty too. $11 for ribs, oh yeah. Pasta Tuesdays was average though. I had the seafood linguine and the scallops were too hard and tasted like those old frozen types. The garlic toast which came with it was delicious though. Maybe the other pasta options would be better. Drinks were decent and I love the names of their cocktails. This place has become my go-to pub though it is not in my hood. read more

The two of us stopped in for supper on August 19, 2022. Our waitress, I forget her name but she has beautiful long red hair, was absolutely amazing! So friendly and chatty, she's probably the only reason I would go back to Woody's. When we first came in I walked up to a couple of waitresses standing by the bar and said that I didn't know who our waitress was going to be but I just wanted to order a couple of drinks. I wasn't being impatient, we were just thirsty, and I didn't know if anyone had even noticed we had come in yet because the place was quite full. One waitress was very rude, looked me up and down, and said "your waitress will come to you. In fact you just passed her. If you had stayed at your table she would've helped you". I don't know what her issue was, but she seemed to have a real problem with me. Everyone else I encountered there was extremely friendly. I asked if the fish tacos were good and our waitress said that they were, so that's what I ordered. I absolutely adore fish tacos and I was so looking forward to them. But when they arrived, they were little chunks of batter, maybe an inch around. It was so weird! Normally you get one or two large pieces of fish in each fish taco. This was maybe 10 to 15 little blobs of batter. I'm assuming there was fish in there but I never tasted it. And the fish tacos have some serious heat to them. That wasn't mentioned in the menu so, just a suggestion, perhaps that could be mentioned to customers before they order since re-printing menus would be very costly. We also ordered the wings as appetizers. We had never seen such tiny wings! They were tasty, but so very small! And I was given the wrong dip so I went up and asked for some ranch dip and the afore-mentioned miserable waitress just looked at me, turned her back on me, and walked away. The bartender was kind enough to get it for me. All in all, because our waitress was so amazing, we had a pleasant time. Even though I was disappointed with my meal and even though that one waitress was really miserable. This is not a complaint, just relaying our experience. read more

Best wings in town, great service, inside looks clean, however the management is unappreciated of the customer and kicks people out of the parking lot. After spending $200 with my group Sunday May 28 and the week before $175 May 21 we were just chilling with our group talking with my friends and the manager came twice telling us the parking lot is full and they need the space for customers coming. I parked across the street waited for 1 hour to see how full the parking will become and over 20 parking spots was still open. There was no lunch rush since it is 4:30 pm . Wing specials everyday. $ 0.35 Mon-thurs all day, Fri-Sat 3-5pm or 11- Close, Sun 3-Close, need to order some kinda drink though The crowd is okay... Its definetly older, but i come here on the regular moreso with friends just to have good, cheap wings, or other specials. Tuesdays they have cheap pasta, Sunday's got numerous share plates, on certain Holiday's they usually also do specials, eg turkey dinner around Thanksgiving time, which is nice. Usually from 9pm onward on Friday, Saturday, they have live bands playing music which rocks. A little loud, so i usually sit in the very far back and chill and chat with friends while we have some food. So .. the wings here are good!! Lotta different flavors, usually coming out pretty hot and saucy if you have sauce. This day i ordered 10 each of blue cheese and thai wings w/ fish and chips. The flavors tasted as they were, the wings were not too dry or the most moist, but we're at a bar, here for some cheap food, drinks, maybe some live music, and thats what we got. My husband and I come here often, mostly for the wings. While they are not always the best, they are most of the time and you can't beat the price- $0.45/wing except on weekend nights. There are a variety of flavours of wings- we usually get the honey garlic, buffalo (not on menu- it's a mix of hot and blue cheese), and roasted red. Service is almost always super slow and lacking, but the cheap wings are what keep us coming back. Some of their other food is good too like their pizza, especially when it's on special it's a great deal. They offer a large selection of cocktails and beer, all at reasonable prices. Even if we each order a few drinks and food, my husband and I rarely leave spending more than $60 for the two of us. A good place for some pub food and to watch some sports. It's a pretty casual restaurant where the seatings are first come first serve and you help yourself with the seats as you enter. They have some pretty good daily deals. We came on a Friday for a Raptors game and got the 35 cent wings that is offered on Fridays from 2-6pm with a purchase of a drink. Pretty great deal for wings! They have a pretty decent list of flavours. The size of some of the wings could be a bit bigger but for 35 cent you can't complain! Came here for some 25c wings goodness. This is available Monday to Thursday all day, and 1400-1800 on Friday to Sunday. The catch is that you have to buy a drink, but chances are you would've ordered one anyways. Parking is plentiful in the large lot in the back. The seating area is pretty huge, so this place can take pretty large groups. There are plenty of TVs all over the place, though they're not the largest. Staff were friendly, and the service was decent but average. The margarita I had was actually not bad at all - the tequila wasn't overwhelming, and it was nice that they used rock salt instead of the table variety some other places use. As for the wings? Blue cheese - pretty good. Nice to have just so you can mix things up with the other flavours. Thai chili - a bit too sweet, but not bad. Honey mustard - I really didn't like this one for some reason, though my buddy was all over it. It tastes like the McDonald's honey mustard in my books. Honey garlic - decent, but average. I also took a quick look at the menu - food here is a bit pricier at $10-13 for many dishes. In other words, it seems like the wings are a good deal here. This pub is nice for a casual get together. I'd give it around a 3.5. Wanna watch a sports game? There's a ton of TVs for that! Want those special happy hour type of deals? This place has that too! Price isn't too outta place. We were here casually and so we just had some starters to share around. The flavours are alrighty. Not the best to be frank. But it's a pub, not a high end place. The gravy from the poutine was salty, kinda guessing it's not made in house (probably would be a good match with a beer though, salt plus beer=noice). Yam fries were on point, I mean it's fried yams... The mini burgers were quite nice and had a nice patty to bun ratio; golden ratio. The chicken wings usually have a deal within a certain time frame but we were too early so that tanked. Overall, it wasn't bad. Would I go again? We have been going to Woody's pub for the last seven or eight years, unfortunately yesterday was the LAST DAY! While we realize prices are going up, the Pub usually has Sunday specials that were always reasonably priced. Yesterday was the final kick in the wallet, my wife ordered a prawn and scallop Sunday special, the price was 10.95, the order came with two small prawns and one scallop!! The wings at one time were a great deal, now they are much smaller! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Fortunately there are lots of other options nearby and we will no longer go there! Woody's was one of the nicest bars around. It had pleasant helpful staff, great specials and good service. I used to frequent them twice a week. Unfortunately, the have kept rude unpleasant staff, raised prices in every category and are now a hangout for drunks. There are still some nice people who work there, but unfortunately the bad ones aren't worth the risk. I went back today and got one of the lifers who not surprisingly was worse than I remembered. Won't be going back again. I was actually surprised how a few people were there. Are used to be packed. Gorgy (the owner) You Blew It!. You had a winner, and you destroyed it. The wings were delicious they're cheap every day at some point! note that there is a tossing fee for wings that have sauce, but it's not going to break your bank. Overall, the food came quickly and there was a good variety of flavours. I've been twice to Woody's. Both times for Euchre (a card game) meetup. The food is hit and miss and I'd say the same for the wait staff. This place DEFINITELY is the wrong place to go to try to converse so card playing was interesting to say the least. Music both times I've gone a bit too loud even for most PUB conversation (it IS a pub after all). At a designated time a live DJ starts spinning his musical web although both times he started with the same three first songs (canned music for a live DJ?) Is that the Pee-Track? (Gotta go so put something canned on so there's time to setup?) BACK TO FOOD: The first time I had a 'sirloin sandwich' which the best part honestly was the mashed potatoes (doesn't say much does it?). The second time and most recent to this posting I enjoyed the early lunch special (which ended at 3pm and I was there just before 6:30pm) - Specifically it was the soup and sandwich which I was amazed was still available even after the stated time (they WERE still giving out the specials laminated sheet in the time AFTER they were available???!!!) and even more than pleasantly pleased when the soup of the day (evening) was beef barley and that yes they could change the BLT to grilled cheese (my recent molar extraction means softer foods for me sadly). This place is not bad for pub food. Considering the prices are very reasonable you're not going to be getting the highest quality foods. To be honest I was impressed with the food there. For the price I find it pretty darn flavorful. The drinks are cheap too. 1/2 L of wine for 13$ which is unheard of in Vancouver. Overall I was impressed with their prices for the food and drinks. For that I'm giving it 2 stars. The reason I am giving 2/5 is the service was HORRIBLE. It took our waitress nearly 10 mins to provide us with menus. She proceeded to take another 15 to take our orders. She took nearly 15 minutes to pour a few beers and wine for us. When she came with our drink orders she forgot a few of our orders and had to go back and get them. Then she spent most of her time socializing with her friends who were eating there.
