simply said (as most have)... it's a local dive bar. We didn't want to wait an hour to sit down at the other well reviewed restaurants in Moab so we grabbed a burger here. Food came quickly - waffle fries were really good, burger was ok (nice toasted bun). Bar staff seemed overworked and the place wasn't even half full... Two seat bar stools, locals, tourists that look out of place, carvings/bumper stickers everywhere, and a bathroom that could use a clean... but hey, set your expectations - this place doesn't advertise to be anything but what it is. read more

I was in the area for a week working. Stopped in the place twice. First time was ok. Wasn't impressed, but wasn't turned off by the place either. The bartender the first night was pretty quiet and didn't say much, but the he never let me beer get empty and it was ice cold! I Ordered wings that night also. Big mistake. Possibly the worst wings I have had in my life! Went in tonight for the second time. As I walked in, the bar the bartender (Jen) was out in her car. She walked in right after me. I sat down at the bar when I came in. She walked behind the bar and walked right past me without saying a word and walked in the back. A couple of minutes passed and she came out and got my order. She went out to her car a few times while I was sitting there. Every time she came back in she was sniffing really bad. Sinus problems? If i were to guess I would say self inflicted sinus problems from whatever was going up her nose. An awesome bar with a neat carved wooded top. Though you can carve into it anymore it's interesting to read what is on there. They have pool tables and other tables around where you can sit after you order your drinks. They also offer some bar food like fries and chicken strips. When we were leaving a band started up but we didn't stay for the music. The town is happening with tourist and so was Woodys. They have limited beers on tap but they have a full bar so you can order a mixed drink if you want one. I had the Whipped in Woodys and it tasted like a dreamcicle. Orange and vanilla are a great combo before winding down for the night. Lol. read more

Very fun place!! Went there on a Friday and there was a live reggae band that was awesome! There was 4 pool tables, a fusbol table, ping-pong table, a dart board, a bball beer pong game, and an outdoor deck/bar. This place was definitely happening (I did go on Easter weekend) but soooo much fun. And Jordan, the bartender was fantastic and so impressive with how much she could do and remember at once! It doesn't get more authentic than this. What you get here is a tavern, old school style. Sit at the bar, and order up your favorite drink. You won't pay much, and the drinks should stay simple. (neat, rocks...simple). The bartenders will be moody, and dark. If you give them any gruff, they will give it back in spades. Just the kind of hardcore drinking place I love to visit and have a cold one! If the locals were going to hang out at the tourist tavern, this is the one. read more

Okay, being from LA and wanting to see the Kings' Stanley Cup Finals Game 4, my wife, my friend and I checked into Woody's the night before to see if they would have the game on the following night. This was especially critical since NBC was showing the game only on NBCSN, an affiliate which not everyone gets. We were assured that Woody's received that channel and would have the game on. We arrive the next evening only to see a scribbled note on the front door advising that Woody's would be closed this evening due to a private party. Upon expressing some disappointment about this turn of events, we were met with a deluge of profanity and rudeness by the two nasty and pathetic beer girls who were obviously spoiling for a fight, the fact that they had totally screwed us over notwithstanding. Based on the other Yelp reviews, I can only conclude that this scuzzy little hole would have been a poor experience to begin with, what with the disgusting bathrooms and the "world's worst nachos," not to mention the rude and nasty staff. So off we went to Club Rio. They have a wonderful staff, great food, and excellent televisions. Sometimes things just seem to work out for the best. Good luck Woody's. I was asked to leave after repeatedly asking to close my friend's tab and get his credit card back. We were ignored for over 20 minutes on a not very busy night. I cannot believe how rude the staff was about my simple request. I didn't even drink (DD) and was treated like a drunk and asked to 'leave my f---ing bar and to get the f--- out of here' by an employee named Jordan. I explained to her the situation and she got right in my face insulting me, swearing at me and telling me I was a liar about our view of the situation. I was stunned. Then the woman taking the cover charge at the front door pointed her finger at me and yelled 'get out of here! You were causing problems last night too!!' Um, lady I wasn't here last night. I own businesses and deal with unsavory people on occasion. I was polite and maybe a bit forceful about the situation because it seemed to be the only way to get anyone's attention. But I wasn't drunk and I wasn't aggressive or rude but yet I was treated like a wild, rabid dog. It was unbelievable. I can look past the crappy music and dirty tables but not the unbelievable rudeness from Jordan and the woman at the front door. I hope she was just having a bad day and isn't treating other patrons like this because if any of my employees treated a customer like that (my friends spent a lot of money btw) I wouldn't put up with it for one second.
