Dear Management, I am writing to express my disappointment with several recent experiences involving your dealership. Approximately one month ago, my family negotiated the purchase of a vehicle and completed the necessary paperwork in advance. When we arrived to finalize the transaction, the agreed-upon terms had changed from what had previously been discussed. As a result, we left without purchasing the vehicle. About a week later, we decided to move forward despite the changes because we still felt it was a reasonable deal. We arrived with financing pre-approved and most of the required paperwork already completed. What should have been a straightforward transaction instead took nearly eight hours to complete. During that process, information was misplaced, documents had to be resubmitted, online forms had to be completed multiple times, and paperwork had to be redone in person. It was, without question, the most inefficient vehicle purchase experience we have ever encountered. More recently, we became interested in a used vehicle listed by your dealership. We specifically requested a copy of the inspection report before making the trip to the dealership. We were told it would be provided the following day. Instead, we repeatedly received requests to "come in" without receiving the information we had requested. A few days later, we were informed that the vehicle had been sold. When we explained that it was the only vehicle we were interested in, we were later told that it had not actually been sold and that there had been a mistake. Since then, we have continued to receive inconsistent information. The common theme throughout these interactions has been poor communication, lack of follow-through, and an apparent focus on getting customers physically into the dealership rather than providing the information requested. Mistakes can happen, but the repeated inconsistencies and inefficiencies have significantly diminished our confidence in your organization. I am not writing simply to complain. I believe management should be aware of how these experiences affect customers and the reputation of the dealership. We wanted to do business with your organization, but the process has been unnecessarily frustrating from start to finish. read more

This is my second time driving from San Antonio trying to get my window replaced first time service parts order the wrong window. Second time order the wrong window again. This is the best part replaced a perfect window with a perfect window. So again they will have to order yet another window. 1 hour in traffic and 5 hours at the dealership all for nothing. Please use caution as you consider the Mazda service department....I should have sensed this as well, but didn't pay much attention to the empty lobby at 8:00am on a Tuesday morning....at 10:30 am, as I left in disbelief, only one customer had entered the service department. The service manager will not have your best interest or share grave concerns about your Kia....too bad. The shop foreman will treat you as, being in contempt of causing damaged to your own vehicle under warranty and will talk above you. Beware of the salesman as you wait....they troll the service department looking for customers and pressuring you to let them do an appraisal as you wait for your car to be returned. read more

Scheduled my factory recall appointment, showed up only for them to not have the part they needed to complete the service. Told me he would order it under my name and call me when it came in. Big surprise, nobody called, I called to check on it and low and behold it was there. Then was rudely told by the parts guy, that there was only one recall due for my vehicle, even though Kia informed me of 2 and my original appointment scheduler confirmed there was two. These people don't seem to know what the hell is going on. Just praying that they don't mess up my vehicle when I take it in now for the second time. read more

Found a car online that we wanted to purchase. I called the dealer to confirm it was still available. I was informed it was so I inquired if they would hold it with a deposit given we live out of town and couldn't come until the next day. Was informed they didn't need a despot but would put the car aside and hold it for us until tomorrow and we set up an appointment time. Later the same day they texted me to inform me they just sold the car. If you do not hold cars that is fine but tell me up front. Don't say you will hold it for me and then not hold that promise. Where do I start? As it turns out, I still might buy a car here just because of my circumstances. BUT, I have to say that I hate dealerships with uneducated, pushy salespeople. My sales guy was ok, but didn't really listen to what I had to say. I'm really an easy sell but don't get pushy and try to make me do things that I don't want to do. I love the carmax approach...While it isn't the cheapest way to buy a car, you don't have to do the back and forth thing with the sales manager just so you don't get screwed. Anyway, the finance guy was cool and comfortable but I really hate the sales process at places like this. Long story short...the only reason I would be buying this car here is because they had exactly what I wanted. But I don't even think I am getting a totally fair price. I bought my red Kia Soul from them in 2011, and have been getting my car serviced here for the most part. Have tried other places in San Antonio & Austin, but I've come back to World car Kia / Mazda (still confused on what they officially go by). THEIR SERVICE IS AWESOME. Sure they have a corner lounge for you to watch tv from with comfy chairs, but I usually plop myself at their tables (near the free coffee area) and take advantage of their WIFI!! Just ask for the password, because it's not posted anywhere. It's nice that their staff stays on the team, nice to see the same faces when you go in for your oil change. Never had a problem with any of them. One time I came in at about twenty minutes before they closed and they still took my car in to be serviced. read more

My steering column was giving me trouble so I called to see if they could help fix it. They lady on the phone was very friendly and I got an appointment for the next day. When I went in I got checked in right away. The service advisor, Chris knight, was knowledgeable about my issue and informed me of how long it would take. I just went in for my steering but they told me there was actually a recall on my vehicle for another issue. They fixed both, they were under warranty so I didn't have to pay anything (a pleasant surprise) and they did it in a timely manner. Cannot thank Chris and his team enough. I want to be very clear, I have not purchased anything from this dealer or even been to the dealership. What I have done is made the mistake of filling out an online form requesting information about a specific used car that they had advertised on their website. In the notes section of the form I specifically asked that they not call me as I cannot easily answer the phone during the day so I prefer to correspond via email. I thought that this was a simple request. The first email I recieved from them asked me to verify my phone number so that they could call me. I restated in my response that they should not call me and reiterated my reason for that request. Since that email I received 7 phone calls from them that went unanswered because, as I mentioned, I cannot answer the phone during the day. Yesterday I was finally able to answer the phone when they called and I told the gentleman that I will not be doing business with them as they cannot respect a rather simple request. I also suggested to him that it might be in their best interest as a business to honor a potential customer's preferred method of communication. I was content to leave it at that until I recieved another call from them today. It was at that point that I felt justified in writing this review. I sincerely hope that someone at World Car reads this and that they consider altering their practices as a result. Made an appointment to see a specific auto. Yep, it's in stock, they even call me to confirm at 9am. Get there at 12:30, after a 2 1/2 hour drive,start with odd questions like what color car do you like? Really? How about the one I came to see? Bait & switch. I had a verbal guarantee on a car price from a salesperson (Stephanie) before I took off work, arranged childcare, and drove an hour, checkbook in hand. When I arrived, a different salesman (Michael) said Stephanie was wrong and I should expect to pay a $5,000 markup in addition to the MSRP+TTL I'd originally been quoted. Huge waste of my time. Every time I took my car for a repair that was under warranty it came back with a new problem. The last time it was mechanical and when we contacted them they said that it was spark plugs which is maintenance and quoted a amount. My friend put in new spark plugs and problem was still the same. So took it to Ancira Kia and it was a cylinder which is under warranty and they also stated that due to mileage the spark plugs were actually under warranty too so they should of never tried to charge us. Have filed a claim with Kia corporation. Would not recommend them and buying our car was a horrible experience too. Make the drive to Ancira or Austin for a Kia. Love the Forte. Great car for my daughter but will not ever go back to World Car. read more

The best experience I have ever had at a car dealership!! I found this place online and saw the car I wanted, booked an appointment to test drive it, when I got there they had the car pulled up out front ready to go. My sales person Jessica was very attentive and very knowledgeable. I told her my terms and she worked very hard to get me a great deal. There was no back and forth talking to manager about the terms, it was all laid out and agreed upon very quickly! I was in and out in 3 hours with a brand new Kia Niro!! Showed up to look at one car, moved to another and asked salesman for best price. He gave it, only to go inside and have the computer be wrong, and he misunderstood. I offered to split the difference but no. Then I found another car there later in the week. The website showed $28,131. I call the dealer and oh no, that car has to sell an 'appearance package' for $2000. However, nowhere on their site does it say that. These guys are shady. I'd prefer to pay more from someone with values. read more

Poor customer service seems to be systemic at World Car Dealerships in this area... The helpfulness and competency of the sales and management team rivals the U.S. Post Office. This is actually part two of my World Car review. I first visited the World Car Hyundai Kia in south San Antonio, and left so frustrated I thought I might lose sight in one eye. A couple days later I thought, "Maybe it was just that dealership. I will call the New Braunfels store and see it'll they can help me." Wrong! Don't get me wrong, the lady who first answered the phone was very polite and helpful, she got me to a sales person promptly and pleasantly... and that is where the customer service ends folks. Here is the setup: I already have Financing. I don't have a trade. I have a guaranteed price quote through USAA, guaranteed for two weeks. You have the car at another lot, which has been confirmed that you can sell. Seems pretty easy so far, right? Oh but the car has 3 tires that look like they have been used for test driving donuts in the parking lot! I offer to buy the car at the quoted price with new tires included. You would think that I had asked for them to steal a car and sell it to me! ~ Oh, no sir, we absolutely cannot replace the tires on a vehicle unless they fail state inspection. How do you know they pass state inspection? You have not yet seen the car. Are you sure that the other dealership performed an inspection? ~ We have to do a state inspection on every car. (Hands me a tire gauge.) Unless it is in the red, we will not replace the tires. There are parts of the tread that are smoother than my children's bottoms at birth! I have seen the tires, you have not. On parts of the tire there would be no grooves in which to put this gauge! ~ The owner will not allow us to... Get used to this phrase, because it comes into every conversation. "We can't do this, the owner won't let us. We can't do that, the owner will fire us.... In the end, I was told by one of the sales people that they do not work on commission and, oddly enough, I believe it. This team is not interested in helping you, they seem interested in showing up and collecting a paycheck. If you get frustrated with the whole "game" of buying a car, imagine trying to negotiate it with a stereotypical postal employee who's job is to not bother his higher-up with actually selling a car. read more

Worst customer service out there! They sold me an extended warranty promised a $50 deductible when I got paperwork in it was $100 now they tell me there's nothing they can do. On top of that my ac doesn't work right and they won't fix it. You can never get ahold of anyone to talk to and when you do they say they will call back and don't worst dealership in history!! read more

I looked online and found a car I liked. I was in email communication with one person, then another person emailed me, then another. In total I received emails from 5 different people, all of whom I had to explain that I do not live in town and would like to know if the preliminary paperwork can be done online. They have a FULL credit application online that asks for SSN, DL, employer, and for permission to run a credit report. The woman I spoke with was unaware of this and said she'd get back to me. I went so far as to cut and paste screen shots of the application to show her it was there. The next day she says that if I fill that out, only her sales manager, Ralph, can see the information, not her. Can he not work with me? Can he not share that information with her? She states he'll give me a call to talk more about this. What is there to talk about? Either you can start this process online or you can't! Days go by and I get no phone call from Ralph. One of the many emails I receive is from the General Sales Manager, Michael, asking if my questions have been answered. I email him explaining everything yet again and never hear back. I call the number in his email and it goes to voicemail for a Jason. Every other dealership is doing preliminary financing online. They have the application on their website, yet no one seems to know what to do with it. This place is a joke! read more

Then when we saw the purchase order--added on almost $2000 for appearance upgrade. So basically they waxed the car and applied scotch guard to the seats for $2000. Service department review: Scheduled an appointment for an oil change two days before. I came in 3 minutes early and handed over my keys. 1.5hrs later my car was still sitting outside. When I went to speak to a service member, he had difficulty located my paperwork and didn't know where my car was, even though I pointed it out to him that it was parked outside.He proceeded to answer a phone call and was on the phone answering questions for another customer, telling me to "hold on." Not sure where he comes from, but I was there first, the caller should be the one 'holding on.' I got tired of waiting on this guy and walked over to the service manager who provided an apology and agreed there was no excuse for the long wait. 2hrs later and my car was finally done. Most every place I've been to will do a quick vacuum of the interior. That wasn't done. I had a bag with my prescription medication I left in the front seat, and it had obviously been turned over and looked at. The employees seemed to have poor morale and I have no plans to return. I obviously wasn't the only frustrated person in there that had been waiting longer than necessary. read more

I am looking for every possible way to get the word out on these folks. Just to be clear, other dealerships have similar mandatory add one at the close that should be illegal. I'm a senior and I have bought probably 25 cars in my life for myself spouse and kits. This was the easiest no hassle experience I have ever had. I traded in my car and got a good offer and leased a new 2017 Kia Soul EV+ with a huge discount. I am really pleased. Our sales rep was Faye and she was very helpful. I was amazed when I went into the finance office and everything was as expected and there was no attempt to sell me something in addition, to the car. read more

Be careful with these guys. The only reason I gave them two stars is because they are typical for most dealerships. They patched up my corolla's paint job with cheap paint and primer before I bought it. It looked fine on the lot but I got a unpleasant surprise 3 months later when the paint on two side panels and the trunk started to fade and peel. The car looks terrible now, and it will take $1200 to get a quality patch up. If you MUST shop here bring a mechanic along and inspect each car very closely! read more

Review your paperwork very carefully. We made our decision on the car and the price. They brought out the paperwork and went over it rather quickly. My eye was on the vehicle price and I didn't pay enough attention to the details. When we got to the finance office and reviewed the pricing I noticed they had added an appearance package. I did not agree to that and immediately asked them to remove it. Lesson here s really pay attention they apparently are a bit sneaky in their dealings. read more

Don't buy a car from them or do any business with them. I purchased a 2015 K900 from them 9/5/19 and worked with Jay. I called the day before with the info of the car AJs when I arrived the next day, he had pulled the car out front and got it ready (the only positive experience about this procedure.) Jay told me that they don't negotiate on the price at all-which I don't know if I believe and only had one key fob and all 4 rims were scraped and he would not budge on the price at all. So whatever...I bought the car and bought another fob. But every time I need to get in touch with my sales guy or service guy there, they can never be found. When I brought my car back down ( I live in Austin) to get the new keg programmed, they de-programmers the credit card key that comes with the car and every time I called them about that I would never get a call back. No one ever calls you back, they take their time with everything and aren't motivated to do anything. They just sit around talking with their co workers. The only person I have good things to say about is Will-the finance manager. He was verte knowledgeable and answered all me questions concerning the extended warranty and such. But other than that, buy from another dealer. I've been taking my car to Southwest Kia in Austin and they've been up to bar as my BMW service advisors. read more

I bought my vehicle of the showroom, excited because it's a soul, I was also excited about having Roadside assistance lifetime warranty, , I was stranded with a flat tire in a dark country road I called the 1 800 number only to find out that it was a lie and a wanted to sell me a package for $70 then they will come rescue me, their customer service is a joke, also tried calling the 1 800 number so I can complain they said they would relate the message to the general manager I haven't received a phone call yet please some buy anything from this place unless you want a huge headache read more

New Braunfels KIA's "service department" is STILL under construction. It's been years! So they make me go to Mazda next store and it's very difficult to make a diagnostic appointment. All I hear is "we don't want to rush the technician, the technicians don't work on Saturday, the technicians won't work late... etc." I wish they were as concerned about the customers as they are the technicians! These two car centers KIA and Mazda are HUGE and they should have awesome service but they are like ghost towns. Such a waste! I don't normally write on Yelp as I see it sometimes to be completely subjective and biased, but I was happy with WorldCar. They help me find a car I liked at a price that I was happy with. Plus all the perks that come with the purchase is a bonus (i.e. Oil changes/tire rotation for 24 months, free roadside assistance and KIA 100k warranty.) The salespeople here were helpful and understanding and it didn't feel too pushy in my opinion. read more

I don't have the time nor the fortitude to sit and write a synopsis of my unpleasant encounter with the service Dept. at World Car Mazda on 35S in San Antonio. Suffice it to say I will NEVER buy another Mazda, and warn anyone to not take their vehicle there for service. I loved my Mazda Tribute. I spent over $600.00 in worthless repairs at their dealership to have my vehicle still not run. They are incompetent, rude, and totally clueless as to customer service. I found it really funny that after the whole disaster, I was sent an email "survey' to fill out to detail my satisfaction about the repairs done to my vehicle.
