Highly disappointing. The rice tasted like it was scorched and the lettuce wraps had absolutely no flavor and the lettuce needed a good washing. The Mongolian beef normally is delicious and I was wondering what happened. where did the mushrooms and onions go and the yummy sauce. The waitress was nice and tried to accommodate us but there was nothing they could do the quality is just not there. My husband had a sushi roll and said he had better. This place is great. I wasn't expecting much but it delivered and then some. There are some places you go to and you think "this is nice for the area but it obviously doesn't specialize in the food genre...so they did the best they can". You will NOT say that about this place. If you can pick this place up and drop it in Manhattan NY, Palo Alto CA, Boston MA and it will belong and have a following. This place plays way above the field and can hold hold its own anywhere you put it. We were visiting from out of town but we enjoyed the food so much that we kept coming back. There was one evening where it was busy and the waitress said it would be an hour wait. Guess what? WE WAITED. That's how much we enjoyed the food. Let me first start by saying that this place serves the definition of fresh. The fish, fruit, vegetables, and even ginger was of a higher quality than I even knew was possible. It's as if they're farming all their ingredients in the back. Coming from California recently I was scared I wouldn't be able to find good sushi, oh how wrong I was. This place is phenomenal. For the portion size, the prices are incredible. Not only are there many pieces in a roll, the pieces themselves are giant! They have all the traditional types of sushi, plus they have interesting and tasty creations that will blow you away! I plan on becoming a regular here, I couldn't possibly be happier. Finally a better sushi experience in Citrus County. We came in on Saturday evening around 7. Place was crowded and the tables had a short wait. 4 of us ate at the sushi bar. We had a great experience. This is a new restaurant and they are working through their processes, but we found everyone attentive and polite. We ordered black widow roll that was really good. Shrimp tempura roll, cali, roll, spicy tuna roll with jalapeno and sirracha. Eel, tuna, and yellowtail nigiri. Edamame and a seaweed salad that was dressed lightly and very crisp. Overall the food was well made, fresh, and good presentation. For as slammed as they appeared to be, food got out pretty good. Everyone was working hard. The food is fairly priced and I would like to think that as they get some time under this new business that they will refine the service and menu. They deserve a try and support as a nice new effort in an area that could use more eating options that have quality and diversity. Good luck to them. We will be back. read more

Sushi rice needs perfecting. Fish could definitely have been colder, I don't like room temperature fish. Sushi chef needs to learn how to roll tighter. Seaweed salad should have had less dressing but good. I will keep trying them though. Anything to be able to enjoy sushi close to home. Wow. The best sushi I've ever had and only minutes from home. I've been here 4 times and ordered takeout once. I've never been disappointed ordering something different each time. My favorites have been the Kamikaze Roll and the Dancing Eel Roll. Beautiful presentation. I've learned that they make their eel sauce in house. Delicious. I phoned in an order to go and it was just ready when I arrived. The place looked clean and the staff was courteous and attentive. We went home to dine. The Tuna Tataki - tuna crusted with sesame seeds and pepper, grilled rare - was served over a seaweed salad. The presentation was very nice, the salad was crisp and the dressing was very tasty, but the fish was lackluster and forgettable. We had 3 different Nigiri: tuna, salmon and Eel (which is usually known as Unagi, a smoked freshwater eel). The tuna and salmon were relatively tasty, and the Unagi was very good, but their rice was definitely off. It was a short grain rice but perhaps it was the wrong type of rice, it seemed that it was a bit undercooked and didn't have enough salt or rice vinegar, leaving the flavor flat and the texture off. We also had some of their rolls, but the rice made them unmemorable. I absolutely love sushi and I really wanted to like this place, but sadly, I was underwhelmed at best. Rice is the cornerstone of every sushi restaurant and they really need to work on perfecting theirs. I'll give them a few months and if they're still open, I'll give them one more try. The first time I ate here they were about 2-3 weeks open. I ordered a Tempura dinner and was extremely disappointed by how tiny the tempura I received as well as the number. It also came with 2 string bean tempura, a sweet potato tempura and another piece of an unidentified vegetable. They were off on the costing. But there California roll had ground krab meat (strange) and not enough cucumber and avocado. I may return, but will order much more carefully. I don't care how fancy a restaurant, I want to feel like I got value for my money. This one is nice, but certainly not in the category of fancy. I had the Seared Ahi (off the Chef Plates portion of the menu); and since it wasn't listed as a started, expected it to be much more substantial for $8.95. It was 5 very thin slices presented side by side in a creamy wasabi sauce. Tasty, but tiny. So it was necessary to invest in more food to make it a dinner. Ordered the Pork Katsu Don ($15.95). It was a big bowl of rice with one panko breaded pork cutlet cut into strips. There was tempura sauce, sauteed onion and a raw egg...that's all there was. I could duplicate this dish at home for about $2.50; and it was just "okay". After consuming about 1/3 of the dish I was full on rice and bored with the dish. It lacked variety of ingredients, and skill in preparation. No explosion of taste in this dish. I brought the rest home. Hubby looked at it and found it totally unappetizing. I haven't told him how much I spent on what was suppose to be a light, tasty, healthy dinner. With had a soda ($2.49), and with a 20% tip I spent $35.00 !!!! Yes, glad to have a sushi restaurant near me...but I'm not that stupid to think $35.00 for one person is okay. Will return to getting my asian food fix at Bangkok Thai in Beverly Hills. Where $35.00 will buy 2 sodas, plus two awesome dinners with non-stop explosion of taste. read more

It can also get a little loud inside if it is crowded. It wouldn't be in my top 4 to go to in this area, but they are open later than some. read more

This is my first visit and our waitress Piper was amazing and very personable. Shockingly this is the place to come for sushi in citrus county. The sushi here is phenomenal. I will always give them the credit of being the only good sushi place in the area. The entree I ordered was the Spicy Korean Beef chili. It was delicious and the left overs were even better the next day. My only issue with the restaurant is the menu. It had a lot of main entrees that were something I would have seen at a Chinese restaurant (sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, general tso chicken, Kung pao Chicken, ect). I'm not knocking the quality and I'm sure it's worth the price but I just feel like it's a cheap choice for a place that nice. read more

Called for carry out on Mother's Day and was told 2 and half hour wait. Showed up 2 and half hours later and called number on sign to let them know we were there to pick up food. 15 minutes later a server came out And helped car next me telling them their order was wrong and they would be able with correct order shortly. After2.5 hours and another 20 minutes of no one waiting on us or bringing food out we left. Order had my cell on it and no one ever contacted me. When I arrived at 8 they turned me away because they posted on a dry erase board that they would stop seating at 8. Ate here for the first time today. It was packed for a Wednesday evening. I love sushi and Asian inspired dishes. This was by far one of the best places I have eaten at in Citrus county!! It surpasses most of the Asian restaurants in Tampa. Absolutely great food!! We travel the country a lot and it was an absolute delight to find this gem in our backyard. Eric, the bartender, who was also our server was superb! Staff were courteous and friendly. Food was amazing! Prices were absolutely reasonable. Will definitely be back for sure! read more
