    COVID-19 precautions
    Bob J.

Cost Plus World Market is such a fun store. My wife loves it! She always buys home decor and pillows for our home, and it's never crowded. I attended the store today, and was happy with all of the COVID-19 precautions like masks and social distancing. The whole store was full of unstocked merchandise, though, which made it really hard to shop. I always love getting the heavenly Clearly Canadian here, but it wasn't stocked or in the fridges. They probably were just in the middle of restocking, though. Other than this, I had a pretty good experience.

    Adorable cook wares!

Is there anything the World Market doesn't have? It's like a furniture, grocery, cook wares, toiletries, clothing, and toy shop all rolled up into one amazing market; and it's not like it's slim pickings in any of those categories either (though the food/grocery items are limited to non-perishable/dry products) - there are huge selections. Of course, it is called the "WORLD" Market, about 50% of the stock are imports from various countries or have a more ethnic theme (for ex. Mediterranean or Oriental prints), and the other half is gorgeous, dream home type products and novelty items. Items can be pretty pricey, but they do a good job with their weekly sales and if you sign up for the e-mail newsletter, they frequently send out coupons in the 10% - 30% off range. Their in-store brand items are nothing to look over either - the World Market generic line is my favorite, in addition to Trader Joe's, which their grocery aisle often resembles. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable - I received some excellent tips from their in-house "sommelier" - badly needed for a wine novice such as myself!

    Great price when you're getting 20% off ... $65

I love everything about World Market!!! I could just stop there, but this is supposed to be an honest review. So I'm having friends over for wine and appetizers and since I'm in a transition place, I don't have all the serving goodies I have at home. So I thought let me hit World Market to get some things on the CHEAP. I had a 15% coupon and a $10 reward certificate. Another thing that I love about World Market is the layout is the same in every store, it was like being home. I was greeted at the door, as usual. So I begin looking at everything and just get that warm and fuzzy feeling (sigh). Let me get to business here, over to the wine section. 20% off 4 bottles of red... I'm on it. 3 bottles of Antigal Uno Malbec $9.99 each... YES... I need a fourth... Hello, help, just like that there was a sales person, I can't find the Camus? She had some in the back. Camus is for my husband (his favorite) $65 with discount, he will be happy!!! Then over to the dishes and serving trays 25% off makes me happy. Picked up some square/rectangle dishes... $56.00 total and I am set including 6 napkins... I'll post pic of my party!!! All in all a great experience and of course I will be back!!! I give 4 stars instead of 5 because even though I got help when I asked... there are never enough people at the registers... always seem to hit a wall when you go up to pay.

Love this store! Every time my boyfriend and I come to this shopping center in Dunwoody, we make sure to stop by this World Market location to take advantage of their wine deals and try some new sodas and beers. Our favorite sweet wine is Stella Rosa, and we've been able to get it at this store for a better deal than the grocery store. They have great collection of foreign snacks and chocolate, and their own brand coffee is not that bad either! I've tried the French Vanilla and Hazelnut so far and I haven't been disappointed! :) Also, they have amazing sales every now and then, so sign up for their free membership and keep your eyes peeled for the deals and coupons. I was able to purchase a VERY nice bookshelf that could also turn into a mirror for a very great price. People always ask about where I got the mirror/bookshelf and their jaws drop when they find out how much i was able to purchase it for! Definitely check this store out if you haven't already!

Like most consignment stores, Simple Finds is overwhelming with the amount of inventory they have. It is stacked from entry to exit, from wall to wall and floor to ceiling! They have all the varieties of items you would expect at a consignment store from jewelry, art, furniture, tchotchkes, statues, records, lighting and much more. We like to wander around consignment shops and this area of Chamblee Dunwoody, they are plentiful. So, when we make our trip over this way Simple Finds is always on the list to swing by. We are usually after unique furniture items, and on their good days, Simple Finds has a decent selection from small tables to large cabinets, etc...Outside of the furniture, there is not a lot of items that are eye catching for us here. Service is hit and miss here, never terrible, but also not what I would describe as "friendly" either. Additionally, pricing here is a bit inflated. I get the whole "one persons trash is another persons treasure", but come on... Overall, Simple Finds is a random weekend stop for us on occasion. I will say that visiting here is like visiting a massive neighborhood yard sale, so you get lucky from time to time, but for the most part...it is just a place to browse for us.

At $80 they would have been a tad overpriced, but the deal made them just right. Contrary to the other review I found the staff to be very friendly. Whatever you need you can find it here and be giving your money to small business which is always a good thing! My review is for their re-upholstery services though. Bet you didn't know they did re-upholstery, did you? Neither did I until City Issue referred me to them. Apparently they do some of City Issue's mid century modern furniture re-upholstery. For starters I bought this absolutely gorgeous mid century Dux chair that was covered in this hideous stained fabric that I knew I could get redone to look more period; the price was good so I had to buy it. After I bought the chair I had an email convo with one of the designers to get a quote for my chair and ottoman. I provided her with pictures and dimensions. She gave me the quote, $350 which isn't that much considering the front and back needed to be replaced as well as the ottoman. She also asked me to come in and pick a fabric. They have loads of fabrics to choose from; all styles and all price ranges. They also will let you bring in your own fabric, which is what I did (I bought my fabric at Lewis and Sheron). They quoted me a time of when my chair would be ready. I picked it up when it was done and my jaw dropped. My chair was now pimped out and bad ass. They did a wonderful job and I am so happy that I used Nandina. That chair is now my seating pride and joy. *I will post some pictures when I get around to taking them.

My current sofa has suffered a complete structural collapse where the main wooden load-bearing rail has detached from the frame, causing the furniture to sink to the floor and requiring a stack of magazines to prevent a total cave-in. This is not an isolated incident of wear and tear, but a recurring manufacturing defect; this specific unit was actually a 2021 replacement for a previous unit that failed due to the exact same frame issues documented in their own technician's notes. The most concerning aspect of this experience is the company's response to a loyal, multi-year customer facing a safety hazard. When I reached out to their service department, I did not ask for a free replacement or a handout; I explicitly requested to pay for a professional repair to be done by their team. Georgia Furniture Mart flatly refused to even send a technician for a fee, stating that because the item is out of its one-year labor window, they will not service it under any circumstances. It is a significant red flag when a retailer sells large-scale furniture that fails structurally in under five years and then refuses to provide any path toward a paid repair or maintenance. For potential shoppers, please be aware that Georgia Furniture Mart's commitment to your purchase appears to end exactly at the 12-month mark, regardless of the severity of the product's failure. While they market "life-improving" furniture, my experience has been one of repeated structural defects and a total lack of corporate accountability. If you expect your furniture to last a reasonable length of time or hope for a company that stands by its craftsmanship through paid service options, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. A sofa frame should not be propped up by books in less than five years, and a reputable business should not abandon its customers when their products fail.
