Stopped by Yaba's Bagels on the north side of Dunwoody and came away impressed. The highlight here is the bagel itself. It had everything I look for in a great bagel: soft interior, plenty of chew, and just enough snap on the outside. I ordered the jalapeño cheddar bagel with pastrami, egg, and cheese, and it was fantastic. The pastrami was flavorful and well-seasoned, the egg and cheese complemented it perfectly, and the jalapeño cheddar bagel added a nice kick without being overly spicy. I usually order cheddar bagels, but they were out, and honestly the jalapeño cheddar may have converted me. I also tried the cheese danish and chocolate croissant, both of which were very enjoyable. Later I came back for the Philly cheesesteak. It was flavorful and well-made, but if I'm being honest, the bagels are the reason to visit. That's clearly where they shine. The menu is fun and creative, with plenty of options that make me want to come back and try more. Service was friendly, pricing felt fair, and there was plenty of parking since it's located in a shopping center. Inside, there are plenty of tables, though larger groups may find the seating a little tight since the tables are fairly close together. Still, it's a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy breakfast or lunch. Parking is a non issue since it's part of a shopping center area. Atlanta is spread out enough that it's nice to have favorite spots in different parts of town, and if you're in the Dunwoody area, Yaba's Bagels is definitely a place I'd recommend. Yaba's Bagels is a small bagel shop with NYC inspired bagels and a Mediterranean twist. The interior has seating for several people and the service was quick and efficient. I got The Hotlanta on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. When I took my first bite, I was wowed by the flavors I was tasting in my mouth. The jalapeño bagel combined with the scallion cream cheese was very savory! I also liked the fluffiness of the bagel. However, I was not a fan of the turkey bacon, although I know it is because this place prioritizes halal options, which is great for those who prefer that. I think that the bagels were a bit pricey, but that might just be everywhere. I would come back to try another item off their menu as their signature bagels are where the Mediterranean flavors are at. read more

Being a New Yorker by birth, a bagel is sacrilegious- the right chew to crisp ratio, toasting without burning, and a good schmear all are required to make a good bagel. Yaba's bagels are a good add to the ATL scene to attempt to check these boxes. To test the place out, I got a pretty standard order - everything bagel toasted with jalapeño cream cheese. I also got a coffee. They only serve drip coffee (no espresso drinks), which felt pretty expensive at $3 given it was self serve. The bagel itself can out pretty quickly. It was well toasted, with just the right amount of char and schmear. The bagel wasn't quite the chewy delicacy I remember from up north, but still was excellent in comparison to others I've had before in the area. The staff was really friendly, and there is seating - clean and plentiful, while not anything fancy. I'm looking forward to trying some of their specialty items next time. read more

This place is an absolute hidden gem. My girlfriend and I decided to try a new place and Yaba's Bagels came up. It has a Mediterranean twist to it. The food was great and ready quickly. It was hot and tasty. The price was very reasonable! I had The Hotlanta and my girlfriend had an everything bagel toasted with lox spread cream cheese on the side. The Hotlanta is described as NY bagel meets the south. Scallion cream cheese, egg, cheddar cheese, and turkey bacon drizzled with Mike's Hot Honey. It was so good. Please check this place out. I cannot stress how amazing this bagel shop was. I believe this is the best bagel shop in all of Metro Atlanta. I ordered three different types of bagels and each one was truly amazing. The bagel itself was extremely great quality because the bread was crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The cream cheese to lox ratio was amazing and the breakfast sandwich as well tasted delicious. Even though we had to wait a little bit because we came on a Saturday afternoon, the owner was extremely nice and apologized numerous times even though she did not have to. ughhh! the only thing missing from this place is a GOOD matcha! I was so delighted to come here, loved the small shop, the cashier was super sweet! Listen the picture of my bagel is lack luster but the flavors... OH MY GOODNESS! The bagel even had a little crunch to it while still being melt in your mouth worthy it was absolutely delicious! If I were you I would definitely add a hash brown to ANY breakfast sandwich it just sets it off. They don't sell pork, and honestly I didn't miss it. The bagel was made to perfection!! I tried the Levantine Bagel because it sounded unique. The bagel was the perfect portion size and flavors were good. It was a bit pricey since it's one of the signature bagels but I want to come back to try the Jalapeño Cheddar Bagel. read more

THE best bagels in Atlanta! They are moist and stretchy on inside with a delicious taste and toast beyond perfectly. Other bagels are weighty and just don't feel as nice to bite through, if this makes sense. My only issue (and it is really a non-issue) is that they are not friendly people. It's clearly a family business and I love supporting a small business, but they could perk up their welcome or helpful and welcoming conversation. First time will be the last. I've never had a greasy bagel, and chewy almost as if it was undercooked. The cashier was sweet and polite but the guy in charge of toasting bagels needs a different line of work. He hides behind the wall at a table until something needs to be toasted then and only then does he rise off his throne to do the only task he's responsible for. Despite a line of people waiting to be helped he shows no interest in participating in the success of the shop and instead leaves the cashier to do everything else. And I'm all for adequate condiments but the quantity of cream cheese outweighed the bagel itself. I hope whoever owns this shop understands that you can't just hire anyone and whomever you do hire has a guideline on proportions and teamwork. read more

Ordered The Nova York (plain cream cheese, lox, red onions, tomato, and capers) with no onions on a sesame bun. It unfortunately did come with red onions, but the slices were easy to pick off. It was honestly one of the best lox bagels I've had. Plenty of cream cheese, generous amount of lox, and the sesame bagel was so good. The lox had no fishy taste, which I'm very sensitive too, so it was perfect! I got 6 individual bagels and 8 oz container of the honey walnut spread, which I had before that a friend brought to a get together. Staff were super friendly and helpful, the place itself was super clean and well put together. Plenty of menus on the walls, on the door, and a plastic covered one you could hold and look at. Location is super nice and convenient as well, plenty of parking for a Saturday at lunch time. Will definitely recommend and come back again! read more

I was craving bagel with butter and jam from NYC and my bf looked up on google and found that this place has it on the menu so we went ahead and tried it out. Ordered a Manhattan on sesame bagel (butter and jam) and a Hotlanta (egg cheese turkey bacon) on a jalapeño and cheddar bagel and an iced coffee. I loved my hotlanta bagel, it was huge and very tasty.. I had to share half with my bf and the butter and jam one was also not bad but I have to say the sesame bagel for some reason didn't taste as fresh as the jalapeños and cheddar one. If you had bagels in NYC before you know what a fresh bagel tastes like... but maybe it was just a bad one I got.. I'm willing to give it another try before making my final judgement to keep going back or not lol I hope they keep up with the quality and consistency of the bagels!! read more
