I wish I read the reviews before coming here because they described the experience spot on. My friend and I felt like we were at an adult water park than a spa. It was so crowded, many rooms you had to wait in line for, the floors were absolutely disgusting, some of the rooms were so musty with the amount of people in there, and even the staff was saying they overbooked the space. However, reading the other reviews it seems like they always overbook it. They said three floors, it's only one floor you can actually "relax" in, if you even have the space to. Overall, was not a relaxing experience, more like an adult pool with extra rooms. I give it three stars since it is new so they might still need to figure there stuff out and it is well decorated, but I would never go again. read more

My boyfriend and I came here on a Wednesday with general admission and checked in around 10:30am. The checking in process was very fast and the staff was very nice! We recommend coming earlier (before 12pm at least) since it's less people and more quiet. We were surprised by how many people were here on a Wednesday, can't imagine the weekends. A lot of the sauna rooms were very nice, our favorite was the Aroma room with the dried plants! Some cons would be that the steam rooms had a funky smell, the pool jets don't work, the food was okay and overpriced tbh, and it got too crowded where the sauna rooms were filled and we had to wait outside until there was seats in the sauna room. Also, the food was okay, we recommend the kani poke bowl and avocado hummus dip. But it's crazy that they charge water for $5 so bring your own water bottle to refill or something. Overall, would come again but definitely not on the weekend and earlier to avoid more people. read more

When we called to inquire, the staff was unhelpful and indifferent, dismissing our concerns as a glitch and telling us to contact the bank. When we did dispute the charge with our bank as advised, WorldSpa rejected the dispute, despite their initial guidance. To make matters worse, when we asked for the name of the person who advised us to contact the bank, the representative hung up on us. They then claimed we forfeited our $200 simply because we couldn't identify who gave us that advice. This is unacceptable behavior. Save yourself the trouble and money--WorldSpa is a disaster. If I could give them zero stars, I absolutely would. I booked my brother a massage and the day pass. My brother has special needs and I was unable to go with him. I wanted to make sure that he was set up so that he just had to show his ID to verify her identity and then enjoy his day. I paid online and I submitted his info as the person attending. He gets there and is told he cannot come in because they need a copy of my license and credit card. This wasn't made clear on the website. Because I was at work, I couldn't immediately get in contact. He was bounced around and no one was helpful. When I finally get to speak to someone, they tell me I need to fill out a credit card authorization form or they will have to charge my brother. Mind you, they already took my money in FULL when I made the reservation. I am confused because they were paid. I said as much to the woman on the phone. She then tells me their system is down so they can't email it to me right now. An hour later, they call me twice telling me I need to fill it out now or my brother will be charged. Once again, I tell them that I already paid for the service. However, seeing that my brother has special needs and I wasn't there with him, I pulled over on the side of the highway to fill this form out so that he wouldn't be stressed. Now onto the very expensive massage I paid for. My very punctual brother was late because the train literally stopped moving for almost an hour. I asked if he could get a later appointment for the same day or perhaps come back another day. They tell me no because he was listed as a no show in the system. I can understand if they were fully booked, but to have people available and refuse the service when my brother is right there in front of you is insane. This place is way too expensive to not do better to accommodate their customers. I also don't appreciate that my brother with special needs was bounced around as if he were nobody. I work very hard for my money and my brother has a laborious job. He has alot of body pain and was looking forward to a massage. I am so disappointed with the customer service and the way my brother was treated. I also work with affluent families with children and adults with special needs. TL:DR Great potential and concept poor execution So where to begin, the members lockers versus mens/women lockers so we were told our lockers were in the members locker room but no one could explain why we weren't assigned to the women's locker room when one was on site. The members locker room is cramped, so much so people have to take turns opening and closing the lockers. We go upstairs under the impression this is a big facility nope we only have access to one floor the upstairs is roped off with a security guard manning it, fine. The place is packed, so much so I questioned if we were over safe building occupancy established usually by the fire department. We only had the opportunity to utilize half of the saunas as most times they were fully occupied and of one was available you would need to move quickly as someone would go in before you had the time to remove your robe and now the sauna is full again. Speaking of robes there is no consistency are we allowed to wear robes in the communal areas or not, if so no one is reinforcing the policy. Secondly shoes are not given like other spas you have to purchase them but that's irrelevant because the floor is constantly wet from people coming from the pools and dripping all over the place. Why are people dripping all over the place you ask? Because at 230pm they ran out of towels. I overhead a women at the table next to me request a small towel only to be told they're out she asked for a larger one and the workers response was "that's if I even have large towels we're probably out". They have cabanas that make no sense they face the entry to the saunas you'd think they have them around the pools but no. They had one random pool that was 7x5 wide maybe 5 people could fit there comfortably but it seem like such of waste of space that could be better utilized. They have a larger pool area but again you cannot enjoy there either because of the crowding and to top it off the warmer small pools were tepid. The surveillance cameras are unusual, every sauna has a cameras, as well as the cabanas but why does an all glass obviously visible snow room need a camera? read more

This place is pretty nice with a number of good sized pools. The jets in one of the larger pools weren't very strong at all with no way to turn them on which was disappointing. The food was good and moderately priced with decent-sized portions. The issue that I saw is that the salt room and one other room with lounge chairs were constantly crowded. It was where everyone wanted to be because these were the only chairs where you could like back and relax (besides by the pool which were all claimed). Given this, I really think that they should expand the salt room or add another one or perhaps a relaxation room. They have a lot of different wooden saunas that really aren't well distinguished from each other and are pretty large, They could easily convert the space of one or two of these and still have enough room in the other saunas for everyone who wished to be using a sauna. read more

I had a lovely time. The pool area was nice and the keys were very strong. They had two lifeguards on duty. The hot tubs were not that hot and neither were the steam rooms but I find them to be more enjoyable and comfortable that way. The food was very healthy and reasonably priced and came out very quickly after we placed out order. The peach iced tea is unsweetened by the way. I would come back! Would I recommend world spa? Well let me see ...I went today with a large party celebrating a few birthdays in the friend group. Our arrival times were scattered & you're not informed that there will essentially be nowhere to wait for the rest of your party. When we all did arrive, check in staff misgendered one of our friends & assigned her to the men's locker room which delayed our journey & enjoyment. I guess this spa is not LGBTQ friendly since they misgendered our friend. Then staff made us wait yet again upstairs for our table which also took time away from our experience.The facility was frequently out of towels. The floors were extremely wet & slippery in the common areas or walking areas---one friend in our group actually bumped her leg & staff was so inattentive & reluctant to get her an ice pack. When we sat down to order food, staff was unclear & disorganized with charging which items to each person. Some orders were forgotten entirely or took so long it again took away time from our experience. And the end when going to shower there was a line which made me late to self checkout to which I was charged $26 for literally 7 min past my time slot. It's a phone free facility with no clocks & I was waiting to shower how was I supposed to know it was time to go? I am also breastfeeding & needed to pump after showering before leaving so because of a line to shower I get charged...the hair dryers weren't working either so then I had to go outside in winter with wet hair. When parking valet I was texted a checkout link & I clicked it. Then I was standing in the cold with my wet hake from the hair dryers not working for a long time before the valet attendant informed me the online system was down ---of course ! My second time around this facility was not pleasant at all. The front desk ladies are wonderful, however management refuses to reschedule me when I book the same day. As per policy you need 48hrs to cancel. I even travel to go inside and explain why I needed to reschedule. I was denied the opportunity. I spent over $300 for a couple's message and to this day was not offered any other options. I work hard for my money and this place show no empathy toward me as a paying customer. I think this spa has some kinks to work out but I think that's because it's new. Overall I loved my experience. It's really beautiful and I tried the banya venik for the first time and my god was it intense...but I want to do it again! Pros- The place is beautiful and really unique, I've been to a lot of spas all over the world and a lot of great design and thoughtful touches are here. They have clearly put MILLIONS into this. The salt room was everything! I've been to salt rooms before but the lounge chairs they have in there take it to the next level. Carrot tumeric juice was refreshing Lockers and shower were great. They have nice soaps for you to use. Wifi works really well. Banya venik was great, someone at the desk talked me into it and wow!! You feel a little like you won't make it through but then a brand new person in the end. I would definitely consider more services here. They add on gratuity which I don't mind but just keep that in mind at the end so you don't end up giving double. Unless you want to! Cons- I love a hammum...but it was kind of cold in there There are a lot of loud people, I am really surprised people can be so loud and having full on conversations in the pools and little echo-y rooms. It's so rude and doesn't allow you to relax. This is my biggest complaint and would make me hesitate going back. These people think it's a pool party in the Jersey Shore or something and no one stops them. I love a good Jersey Shore party, you know what I mean. The club music has got to go. Awful customer service. AVOID. One of the guests in our party (he was under 18) was denied entry on the New Year's Eve per World Spa Policy. At the counter, we were advised that a full refund would be issued within a few weeks for the Ticket we could not use and we did not have to scramble to find someone else to use the Ticket. World Spa did not issue a refund, did not respond to e-mails and phone messages for more than a month. I got venik treatment with honey / salt scrub and massage.Evgeniy who does venik treatment extremely professional, polite and gentle. He knows special techniques how to do great job. World Spa is not all it's hyped up to be. It's a really beautiful facility with immersive treatments but if you plan on going I'd suggest going on a weekday morning. It was too crowded and loud to be a relaxing experience. I went on a Friday and most of the rooms were filled because there was max 6 chairs. I stayed mostly in the saunas cause other places were too crowded. Also, the receptionist with the yellow teeth could work on her customer service. It doesn't matter if you say it with a smile, your tone is condescending and rude. But honestly I would go again with less patrons and kinder staff but I'm not sure that's feasible. read more

Met a few of the employees who were very informative about the different rooms and there benefits. I gave 4 stars because the staff for dining need help. Had a menu question and a gentleman that looked like a manager we asked and he did not answer us he told us to speak with our server. He didn't even go get/notify our server for us. just got home from the worst spa experience ever. I go to a spa at least once a month and have been to Aire in NYC and a few months back at Great Jones spa. I book the week between Xmas and new years well in advance so I can relax and unwind. So thinking I booked two 3 hour spa pass @$75 a person I assumed like all spas they were in limited amounts. I had to book the time I would like it to begin. In addition I purchased a massage well over a $500 spa day I paid for as a gift to a friend only to be embarrassed. Imagine all these beautiful spa rooms for steams and pools only to have people waiting 30 mins outside to get in. Rooms so crowded people are standing bc no seats are left. Imagine thinking it will be a tranquil day with people screaming in the relaxation spaces and rooms. And to top it off one water fountain with a line for water. But the staff reminds you can pay for bottles. So $500 doesn't even get you common courtesy. With a 50min massage we stood with showers and waiting an additional hour, inly being able to experience 2 rooms. When we complained after leaving after an hour of three hour pass they said well you booked a busy week. As if terrible over priced service was my fault. All I asked to pay for the time we were there and refund the two hours they told me it can't be done today and will be a lofty process to get a refund or any money. Mind you the staff including the masseuse apologized as I was given a table used for facials for a massage bc they were overbooked. I will give an update how long the refund process take, but horrified they all agreed and still told me It will probably take weeks and more than likely won't be able to do anything. I'd give this place more like a 3.5 stars. The location is easily accessible and they have valet for $10 but street parking is available also. For a spa in Brooklyn I was concerned it would be small and crammed but it actually was a decent size and had multiple floors. The place is very clean and dressing rooms are spacious. The suanas are nice but kind of small. I do like that they have staff come into different rooms and do treatments which is different. The food menu is bleh and could use some work. The drinks were good and strong, I had two lychee martinis. Visited here with some friends for a birthday and we had a great time. There's two jacuzzis and the other pools were a decent size. While my wife and I made the most out of it, this is probably a spa you should avoid mainly due to how disorganized they are, their subpar treatments, and underwhelming amenities. Like a lot of folks, I came across the spa via social media and thought it would be a cool experience given how big the facility is. Pros: - If its your first time, its fun to hop from Sauna to Sauna, Jacuzzi's, and pools for a couple hours. If you're not a Sauna person, then I hope you can enjoy spending a couple of hours at an indoor pool.... Cons: - Underwhelming locker room. Similiar to that of your standard crunch or la fitness gym but with modern tiny lockers - Treatment was underwhelming. Received a facial and didnt think much of it. Other friends who have gone have mentioned their treatments being underwhelming - No host to show you around. They just make you find your way through it all. -Lack of diversity of experiences. The multiple saunas makes for a cool experience, but for a place called "world spa" you would have expected a greater emphasis on international spa experiences. The spa has multiple Saunas, a pool (which feels like a NYC public pool haha), a few jacuzzi's, and a snow room (lame). For the price, they could have done better. - Location - While at least its right off the F train, the location is awkward for a lot of folks unless you already live deep in BK. This spa lacks the basic facilities, which is shower stalls. Tbh everything was fine. The environment, variety of the sauna rooms. There's an venik ritual that goes on at a specific time that's interesting. Everything was fine until I realized there are only 5 shower stalls. This place is big there were at least 50 people there and there were only 5 stalls. Of course there is a line when I get there and I didn't get to shower. I have been to a lot of SPA, like the ones at Jersey, other states or overseas. I have never been to a spa where you cannot shower because there aren't enough stalls. Idk what culture it is but I think it's quite common to want to shower after using public pools. Just because I can't use the shower there, I don't think I will visit this SPA again. read more

Upon arriving to the world spa, we were greeted by someone other door. We went down to the first floor, where we were checked in by the very yes, nice young man, who assisted me with my reservation and providing me with the essentials that I needed for the spa experience. The locker room was beautiful, very clean, and staffed with a woman that assist you with specific things needed. There are showers, bathing, suit, drying stations, and they are equipped with blow dryer's. There is several sauna rooms, salt, room, pool areas, and a snow room. They are also equipped with a full service bar and restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not up to par although the staff members were very nice. There were several issues with the menu, we are unable to order with the staff member, and they try to force us to order online. The menu online was different from the menu that they had for that specific day and that caused several issues for my party. We spent over an hour at the table, trying to get the order in through their online service, to the point that the server came to us and had to ask his manager if they could assist us with ordering at the table. After an hour we finally were able to order. I ordered the sweet chicken that they had on skewers, mashed potatoes, and a honeycomb cake dessert. Each time I order came to the table it was wrong and I had to send it back. The individuals in my party had a similar issue. 45 minutes after we place the order some of our food items were not on the table. I was told that my menu item of the skewers would be comped, and I would have to go downstairs at check out for my payment, and it would not be on their. Upon leaving the world spot facilities check out was horrendous. I went to the kiosk to check out. The kiosk was not working for myself or anyone in my party. We ask for assistance from one of the staff members who ended up, assisting several people in my party. We also had to make our way to the customer service area because they said that items were comps on our bill, but it was not in actuality. There was an issue with the order being calm they had to go up to the restaurant and make sure that that is what actually happened. Finally after another 30 minutes of that we were able to leave. Only giving this 2 stars because the structure of the space is nice and the food is good. Was given a gift card for the holidays but - surprise, *you cannot use a gift card on their website to purchase your day passes* (which they highly encouraged doing both on the phone and in person when we tried to walk-in) and to just get a refund upon visiting. After using our own credit card to purchase the 2 day passes, we showed up to an EXTREMELY flustered check-in area where both a receptionist and a manager seemed incapable of helping us. Instead of tossing out the gift card in the trash and refunding the card we used, we were told they had to purchase 2 ADDITIONAL day passes using our gift card, and that we would be refunded upon checking out at the end of the day. Why they couldn't handle the refund right then is beyond me - and why we ended up with now 4 day passes is even more beyond me. The man who helped us at the start of the day left no notes on my account and left for the day, leaving the check-out receptionists confused and unsure of the situation. After further explanation, we were told the card had been refunded for the 2 day passes we purchased. 9 days later, no refund. I called once and was told by a very rude customer service agent "there's nothing I can do - if they said they refunded it then they refunded it". Called just now (now 11 days later) and a very nice woman immediately was able to check my account to let me know they refunded it incorrectly. This has been a disaster from start to finish. For a "luxury" experience at a costly price, you would think they would be FAR more buttoned up. So disappointed and frustrating. Poor way to run a business. read more

I went last week with my boyfriend. At $99, I personally thought the spa was a good deal, lots of rooms and amenities, and it looked really beautiful and clean. Then around 2 it started to get PACKED. Like, nowhere to sit in a giant sauna packed. But, my main issue is that people were allowed to use their phones EVERYWHERE. They were inside saunas, in the salt/nap room. Taking pictures and making videos. It was not just the opposite of relaxing, but felt creepy/like a violation of privacy. The Pros: relatively affordable for unlimited access, lots of handicap accessibility, not too crowded during the weekdays, everything is on one floor, lots of showers, the place is kept very clean The Cons: Do NOT go to the food court. You will spend at least 45 minutes trying to get served and fed. They are wildly understaffed and WILL mess up your order. My partner clearly stated her food allergies up front to both the host and the server. They still brought her food order out with red peppers, which she is highly allergic to! We discovered this only after she had taken a few bites. They then asked to take our plates away so they could remake it, while we were absolutely starving because it had taken over 20 minutes just to be acknowledged for our order. By the time they brought our new food back, I was ravenous, and she was pumping her body full of water from the water fountain because they DO NOT OFFER you water unless you purchase a bottle - even if you are having an ALLERGIC REACTION due to THEIR MISTAKE! They then tried to offer her complimentary cocktails, but made no effort to offer water or a comp'ed meal. In what world do you offer alcohol to someone having an allergic reaction instead of water??? This was the second strike and biggest strike for us, however earlier in the day while we were in one of their saunas, they pelted me in the face with ice cold water several times. They have "shows" in some of the saunas at scheduled points of the day, where they demonstrate some of their ala cart offerings so that if you are interested, you can go purchase the experience. During this presentation, they spoke Russian the entire time so we had no idea what was going on at all, and without warning, took a bucket of ice water and pelted everyone in the audience with it several times. Between that and the 180 degree sauna I truly could not breathe, freaked out, and had to scramble to leave the room immediately before I had a panic attack. The security guard later apologized to me, but I explained this all could have been avoided if they simply asked the guests "who wants to be splashed?". TLDR: You get the best experience if you speak Russian, enjoy saunas more than anything else, and do not go to the food court under any circumstances. BRING YOUR OWN FLIP FLOPS AND WATER BOTTLE or be prepared to pay $15 for flips and $5.50 for each bottle of water. read more

I reserved my access pass a week or so in advance for the Fri-Sun timeframe and when I was ready to use my access pass, I looked at my email confirmation and realized it had ZERO helpful info. I didn't see anything confirming the actual dates the pass was valid, let alone the time on those dates so I would know when to go. I emailed them and got no response so I decided to visit to clear up my questions. I waited in the queue and they explained that I had a 4 hour slot and could use it at anytime that weekend. They also suggested I book a massage (unfortunately, I did) and I decided to go (formally) to the spa the next day. I (attempted) to checkin the next day at 6pm; I ended up waiting in line for 15 min due to it being busy (this was Sunday night) and I didn't mind. I got my bracelet, locker assignment and ran into my first issue...the locker was in use. I went back to the attendant and asked for another locker, that took 10 minutes and the bracelet didn't work to open the locker. The attendant guided me to another locker (#3) and kept me there for another 10 minutes. The "manager" ( I think) then let me know that she was working on another locker for me so sit tight. I sat tight for another 10 minutes and we went to the locker (#4) and it needed to be calibrated for my bracelet, another 2 minutes. I didn't get to use the facilities until an hour later at 7pm. When I checked out at 9pm, my bracelet didn't work so it was another 20 min dance to connect with the right folks to get my locker open. The staff was incredibly nice but it felt like dealing with ten stooges who didn't know what the heck was going on! These parts of the experience were very disappointing. World Spa Appearance 5/5 The spa itself is stunning --I'm so grateful to live ten minutes away and will definitely be returning as a number of spas in the area closed down during the pandemic. There is quite a bit of traffic at the spa so keeping things hygienic is a open question for me; for example, the pool water is very cloudy and it felt a little gross getting into. The cold water pools were pretty clear though (I think due to less use). World Spa Facilities 3.75/5 The facilities are concentrated on the second floor and they are diverse but not all are really "user-friendly". For example, the snow room is unique but people literally step in and out as no one knows what to do in it. The Event Sauna is way too hot, the Infrared Sauna isn't hot enough and the Clay Sauna is slightly less than right. The Hay Sauna was my favorite. I like the steam quality in the Turkish Hammam more than the Moroccan and the pool area, as I mentioned, is cloudy visibly so comes off unclean. World Spa Food 4/5 The food was good but I only had oysters and Rose--I'll come back and give a real review after I have a real meal there. World Spa Massage 3/5 I've had MANY spa massages--literally once a month and this was the worst I had this year. I booked the Pure Relaxation massage with James and it was disappointing. I walked into the massage room under fluorescent lights so it felt like going into a doctor's office. He gave no instructions--usually a masseuse tells you what to take off, how to position yourself, oil choice, temperature choice, etc. I got nothing; when he came back to the room he didn't check on my comfort nor his pressure and spent a lot of time on my neck when I advised I wanted extra attention on my shoulders. The oil was COLD and it felt uncomfortable; his massage style felt random and I questioned his experience throughout the whole massage. He ran out of time and didn't complete the front of my legs for the full body massage. When he isolated the massage on the back of my legs, he left my upper body uncovered and I was freezing. The massage bed isn't heated so that didn't help. When I flipped over on my back, there wasn't an eye cover (these are basics!!!) so I kept my eyes closed as he completed 75% of the massage. He did crack my back and neck which was awesome but the massage overall was very amateur and basic like a relative doing you a quick favor. Honestly the biggest problem for me when it comes to this experience has been the lack of available water to drink...the water fountains that are few and far between have little paper cones and look like something you would find in an underfunded public school. Doesn't really match the vibe they're going for in my opinion. Also what absolutely cheapened the whole experience for me was that complimentary water is NOT provided in the restaurant....i did not want to spend $8 for a bottle of water when I was already spending a pretty penny for food, the waitress was rude and basically handed me the plastic cup that was on the table and told me to get my own water from the nearest water fountain which meant I had to leave the restaurant and make my way to the pool. That didn't sit well with me considering the 20% gratuity is automatically included. The facility is clean and pretty and the food at the restaurant was good but the lack of customer service and drinkable water (you will surely sweat and need to replenish) makes this a miss for me. Wonderful experience. The facility is beautifully done, clean and staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Didn't think four hour pass would be enough but it was just right. Water coolers throughout would be great. Pool area was ok. Jetted area stayed full didn't get to try on this visit. Enjoyed a ritual treatment with leaves in extremely hot room mixed with ice buckets of cold water followed by submerged body in cold pool then to sea salt room(I don't even know how to explain but it was great) read more

Do not look at the website and think that what you see is what your going to get!!! Overall, the place was decent. But not spectacular or amazing. They only had one big pool which they added a corner for like a hot tub section, and on the other side jet seats, but not really accommodating to the feeling of jets in a pool, if you have been to other spas with water pressure you will know what I mean. They also have two 4 people sized hot tubes with One a ice cold bath 4'deep plunge and another 4 cold deep plunge on the opposite side of the wing. What I did enjoy was the food OMG some of the best calamari, oh, and we had the miso salmon, and got the mashed potatoes with the broccoli so good. We also tried the sesame chicken wings, of course well done, which was also delicious!!! I had a frozen piña colada, which was also refreshing because I love frozen drinks. They have all kinds of saunas and sweat rooms and even a room that has snow falling I enjoyed the morocon must room the best the rest is a waste. The last detail of our spa day was the massage. We booked me and my best friend shared a couples massage which for the price I think it should've been 60 minutes but!! Over all to my satisfaction and the price I paid I will give the location a seven maybe a 7 1/2 but the pricing definitely needs to be adjusted. $1000 read more
