This is our go-to place for a quick and quality sushi dinner. Like tonight, when we had not time to cook after having a broken oven replaced. We ordered 4 appetizers: spicy seaweed salad, vegetable gyoza, pork gyoza and vegetable tempura; our main dishes comprised of vegetable roll combo and pyogo roll for the 2 herbivores, cocktail roll and unagi roll for the 2 carnivores, plus Bento Box B (Bulgogi, shrimp & vegetable tempura, shumai, and California roll). Since this is a Korean run establishment, you are guaranteed proper spiciness for anything marked spicy, and authentic Bulgogi. It was a lot of food, but all was consumed with gusto. Everything tasted excellent and satisfying - hard to believe that one could get so stuffed on little nubs of sushi rolls :-). The restaurant itself is very small; it used to be take-out only. We ate there once right after they expanded to include a small dine-in space. Its menu is quite extensive with surprisingly good prices, so one can eat multiple times without getting bored or poking a hole in one's wallet :-)

Found this on Yelp because it had good ratings but I dont think they wanted to eat inside. Seems more of a takeout business. It also was freezing inside so not the most comfortable but I guess that is a good thing so the sushi doesn't go bad. The food was awesome. The sushi pizza was delicious. Loved the crispy rice. I would skip the tuna tartare since it was more of a standard dish. It had more avocado than tuna. Tuna was fresh though. The broccoli tempura was delicious which was a nice surprise. Never had it before. Now I know why the ratings were great, the sushi was awesome. Check it out.

I travel a lot for work and always look for Sushi options before any other cuisine. Decided to give this spot a try while in the area. My GPS had a little hard time trying to find but don't let the location or small establishment turn you away, it's a hidden gem. I had the Donkey Kong Roll, the Sushi Pizza and the Yaki Udon Chicken. The food was phenomenal! Fresh and bursting with a beautiful mix of flavors. The owners were very welcoming when I picked up my order. World Sushi is wholesome from start to finish. I highly recommend the experience!

Too bad this place went downhill. Their delivery option is absolutely terrible. I've ordered 3x now and each time they made something incorrectly. If you're going to offer delivery, then please check your orders before sending them out.

    Small. Clean. Wonderful owners.

One word...AMAZING!!! The best sushi rolls I have ever had. Even better than what I had in all my visits to Japan! A small, unassuming place but with great personality and taste. If you love sushi the way we do, this place is a must!

Still one of our go to sushi spot. And I must admit... I am obsessed with their Matsuri and Godzilla roll and order them on a regular basis. Eating these rolls make me super duper happy! Their tuna tartare is an additional treat. Melts in your mouth, with a hint of jalapeño and yummy guacamole. The spicy rolls are indeed spicy--sometimes too much for me to bear without drinking water in between. I still love it though. We also order their combination platters for when we are hosting/attending an occasion. This place is an absolute hidden gem!

The sushi here is AMAZING and totally worth the wait if you have to. My partner and I came in mid afternoon so we were lucky to have quick service. We were beyond impressed with the selection and different combinations. Especially once we heard the the entire restaurant is run by a husband and wife only with their son on the weekends. For the amount of work and options they have plus the quality I was highly impressed. Iv added the menu so you can see all they have to offer. Additionally the three rolls we decided to try this time : -Duffy Kong -Moscow roll -Haru Maki I would highly suggest all three! We will absolutely Be back to try more rolls

You will drive past this place, I promise you. But you'll turn around because if you don't, then you'll be missing out on some of the best sushi in the area. World Sushi is located in a stripmall but in the parking lot of a bigger stripmall. Stay with me...enter the Kohl's stripmall on Route 59 and bang a sharp right. You'll see the Palisades Urgent Center in front of you. World Sushi is to the right of that building in a very small row of stores. You can't see the front of the stores from that angle - you have to drive up what looks like a curb in order to get to the front. Can you see why I missed this place not once but twice? I will credit my man 100% for discovering World Sushi. This small restaurant was absolutely fantastic and he outdid himself yet again. World Sushi offers a plethora of regular rolls, specialty rolls, and pieces. We ordered a variety of everything and we were "oohing" and "ahhing" the entire time...generous sized rolls, not heavy on the rice, and the fish was the perfect temperature and insanely fresh. Cold sushi really tweaks my melons but World Sushi nailed it. They also offer several varieties of sake and beer, which is nice considering the BYOB concept becomes tiring at times. Sometimes I just want a friggen Sapporo and I may not realize it until I get there. World Sushi seems to be a favorite among the locals, as the friendly owners greeted everyone by name when they entered. Service was hospitable and we left very satisfied. I have a feeling that King James and I will soon become regulars too.

Cutest little sushi spot in a strip mall. Dont let the exterior scare you away. Key things to try: The Monkey roll, Miso soup, and spicy scallop roll. Everything was fresh, served quickly and had great flavor. The prices of the rolls were perfect & while waiting for our bill we received a cup each of this sweat peachy type of hot tea. Delcious. Service here was great, the woman who owns the place is friendly and came around to talk to us which i liked.

While I do love the duck breast and lamb chops included with the Classic package, we all felt Essentials was enough for this visit. Celia was our waitress. While things were a little slow getting started, once our first order went in, the food started flying out. Everything we ordered throughout the evening arrived much faster than it did on my previous visit. The menu makes it sound like they'll throttle you to only a couple of items at a time, but that really wasn't our experience. We were consistently able to order several items per person, so there was always something on the grill, more food on the way, and plenty to keep us chomping away. Our favorites this time? The top blade, brisket, hanger steak, pork belly, and even the salmon ceviche, which was surprisingly refreshing between rounds of grilled meat. We did have a couple of hiccups, but Celia was eager to make things right. After we received the wrong shrimp twice, she took it upon herself to get the manager involved. They tracked down the correct shrimp and brought it out. Thanks! Speaking of the manager, Andy was terrific. After another unpleasantry at our table, he came over and sincerely apologized several times. It was obvious he genuinely wanted to make things right. After we took a quick selfie together, he got us with a few complimentary cocktails. I have to say, anything here with cucumber in it is delicious here. Super refreshing. By the end of the meal, my son was a fluent griller and even said he liked Gyuzo more than the other all-you-can-eat BBQ places we've visited. That's about as good an endorsement as I can give. We'll certainly be back.

Unfortunately, we never even got to eat at the restaurant because of how disorganized the front desk was. We were quoted a 35-45 minute wait and were told to join the Yelp waitlist. We stood nearby the entire time waiting to be called. We never received any notification on our phones, and when we checked the app, our status had somehow changed from "waiting" to "cancelled." When we spoke with the hostess, she apologized and told us to wait because she would seat us next. Instead, we watched four other parties get seated before us. After waiting even longer, we went back to ask what was happening, only to be told it would be another 15-20 minutes. From what we observed, it also seemed like the restaurant was prioritizing seating larger parties over smaller ones. I can't say for certain whether that was their policy, but that's certainly how it appeared from our experience as multiple larger groups were seated while we continued to wait despite being told we were next. I completely understand that popular restaurants get busy, and I have no issue waiting my turn. What I do have an issue with is poor communication and disorganization from the hostess team. Mistakes happen, but telling customers they'll be seated next and then repeatedly seating other parties first is unacceptable. To make matters worse, this was our second night this weekend trying to eat here, and once again we left without ever getting a table. Despite the inconvenience and poor experience, no one offered an apology beyond a brief acknowledgment, nor was there any attempt to make things right or show goodwill for the time we had wasted. The food may be excellent, but we'll never know because the front-of-house experience was so poorly managed. A great restaurant starts with good customer service, and unfortunately, the hostess team left a very poor first impression. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

While the quality was good and we didn't have any yucky pieces of fish, they missed the mark a bit. I got the beef teriyaki for my son. He said it tasted great, and he is somewhat of a connoisseur for steak teriyakis. I was also impressed with the portion of steak for the price. Plus, the accompanying vegetables were actually ones he eats (carrots and broccoli). However, the miss here was that they forgot to include the white rice that comes with it. Very frustrating! I'm not gonna call and point this out, and I'm not going to drive back just for white rice. It's just inconvenient and frustrating. We ended up cooking a cup of white rice for him, so he had to wait ten minutes either way. The sushi and sashimi for two tasted good. All fresh, fresh fish. Similar to my last comment, I wish they'd put more variety in the platter. With so many fish to choose from, in a platter of this size, it would be so much more exciting if a broader sampling was given. Instead, I'm given 6 or 7 pieces of the same fish when combining sushi and sashimi. Other places will give no more than two of each fish. So, not perfect, not bad, and we'll see if they can impress in the future

The staff is so friendly and attentive - your drink never gets close to empty before they're asking if you want a refill and the food comes out quickly. The food itself is DELICIOUS - definitely my go-to sushi spot in the area with a great variety, so if you're not a sushi fan, there's still hibachi and a lot of cooked dishes too, so there is something for everyone. The price for value is wild - the portions are big and the quality is always excellent. Some of my favorites are the crab rangoon, the veggie gyoza, tuna pizza, the rock shrimp (basically a bang bang shrimp that is SO delicious), and honestly any of the sushi rolls (the OMG and Crazy Tuna specialty rolls are always a hit and I always love a Philly roll with avocado and cucumber as well). There is a minimal upcharge for brown rice, which is my go-to. Another plus is that Koi has a full bar. The wine by the glass options are okay, but the lychee martini I had was decent!
