There was just a lot of warm/hot rice in the Spicy Tuna Bowl, and was just weird to me that there was plain flavored bean sprouts, and then Vietnamese style pickled vegetables in the same bowl. What kind of food are we trying to achieve here ? Hawaiian poke? With banh mi vegetables? Hot rice without enough sushi rice flavoring? It's not unpleasant to eat but feels a bit messy in terms of just throwing a bunch of different types ingredients of different cuisines together. It's great that they have these offerings but there is so much variety that gets mixed together and cheaply/gluttonously dilutes what makes each dish taste good in the first place I'm not asking anyone not to eat here but that is my personal take on the food I got. read more

I went here for the first time today, never been to one of these restaurants. It was a busy day at the shopping center, and this place had limited space, especially with Covid restrictions, for people to line up outside. It is a small sized restaurant with no indoor dining but a nice shared outdoor area with shaded tables. The manager (owner?) was out front greeting and directing customers so they would be helped as efficiently as possible, since only two could go in at a time. He even had a portable device to take some orders to quicken the process. I really appreciated his friendliness and help. And as far as the wraps we all got... ah-mazing. Perfectly assembled, fresh and delicious. I got the Spicy Tuna Nori Wrap, which I highly recommend if you like poke and sushi. It was like a massive sushi roll, wrapped with seaweed and filled with perfect sticky rice, a generous amount of quality ahi tuna, avo, spicy sauces and crisp veggies. The menu also has Thai, Mediterranean, Spanish and Mexican offerings you can get as wraps or bowls. Plenty of gluten free options and vegetarian too. Such a great concept, and this place pulls it off well. The food is high quality and as good as it sounds. I wish there were World Wrapps restaurants in SoCal, boohoo. Before sushi burritos were a thing, wraps were the "it food." I've been frequenting this place since I was young and they were a hole in the wall of the boring Town Center. As the mall remodeled, World Wrapps underwent its own facelift. Behold, World Wraps 2.0! This hasn't been my first time visiting since their redesign, I just haven't had the opportunity to write a review... actually, I thought I had already written one to be completely honest... On to the grub! They've got some really great sushi burritos here, also known as nori wrapps. My favorite has been the bulgogi beef, which I argue has bulgogi that's comparable to some Korean restaurants. I also like their Thai chicken wrapp - I'm a sucker for peanut sauce when done right. Tip: the kid's Thai chicken wrapp is the perfect size for a light lunch, especially when paired with a beverage. I can only speak for their matcha milk tea, but I'd say it's decent when you're looking for a matcha fix and Starbucks' happy hour doesn't include the iced matcha latte ::grumble grumble for the non-coffee drinkers:: (can we call out other businesses on here?). Today I was experiencing a particularly strong craving for poke ::cough cough hormones cough:: and although I wasn't very inclined to make the drive over for a wrapp, their complimentary free beverage (upon signing up for their rewards program) gave me that push I needed. The fish tasted fresh and was thoroughly marinated. The macadamia nuts added a nice textural crunch, the cucumbers were lightly pickled, and there was a small kick of heat overall. I did notice that their prices went up, but I guess that's to be expected. It hasn't cross the line where I refuse to pay that much for a wrapp, but I'm sure it'll inch its way there. My wife likes the Teriyaki Chicken wrap and gets the kids option which is still a nice size but at a lower price. They have a great location right in the center/heart of the Town Center shopping mall. It's a smaller spot with a couple seat options to eat inside and several seats outside. The location lends itself well to people walking through, picking up, or sitting down for a lunch/dinner bite. We enjoy sitting outside for taking in the vibe and social energy of the thriving local businesses. A couple bonuses of this place is that they offer fresh water in cool, reusable metal cups and they have an awesome employee, Elvis, who is always friendly, giving great service, complimentary desserts and even taking care of a meal for a local, elderly gentleman that had walked in after us.
