Pretty fast service, replacing two battery watches in 15 minutes just as owner said it would take. Caught me by surprise that replacing batteries for the specific watches I had were $15 each but all things considering, the labor, ordering the batteries and installing them both within 15 minutes is a pretty fair deal. Also need to consider that the watch's battery last for quite a long time. If you are curious where to find it, it'll be on the 2nd floor. You can probably take the first set of stairs you see next to a bank and the shop will be in the middle of the complex. read more

So I jumped online to search for watch repair and found WorldTime today. I recently had my Omega Seamaster serviced by a different shop but noticed there was dust on the inside of the crystal. So I drove down to see if Steven and WorldTime could help me out. Steven took a look and could see the dust and let me know that he could open the watch up and take out the movement to clean it out. Steven Moc is by far the best! A couple weeks ago my crown to my 87 Rolex Datejust broke off. I ended up taking it Steven Moc. I took it in knowing that the crown needed to be put back on. Right away Steven determine that I need needed a complete service aswell. He told me that crown could be saved but that it could fail and it would no longer be waterproof. If I took that route it would have saved me a few hundred bucks. But I took the other route and just replaced it. Save me the headache. Although she did not ask for cleaning of her watch, the gentleman was kind enough to do a thorough cleaning of her treasured timepiece, without extra charge. This review is months overdue... I have a 1970's classic watch that required repair. I first tried a few jewelry stores, and a repair shop, my watch was shipped off for weeks and eventually returned unable to be repaired. I was told I'd need a master watch builder. Well guess what? WorldTime is the place I found just that! I had a vintage omega seamaster that would no longer wind and needed serious servicing. The master watchmaker took in the watch and charged 400 dollars to replace the watch winding stem, waterproof my watch, polish everything, replace the watch crystal, make my watch accurate to within 5 seconds a day by fixing my in-house movement, and perform general overhauling. He did all of these impeccably as my watch now looks basically new. In addition, my watch had two holes in the back where there was supposd to be 18K gold. He offered to add gold back to the watch for free, and sealed the holes so I couldn't even tell there were holes before. Overall, WorldTime went above and beyond my expectations when fixing my watch. I broke my watch a couple of weeks ago getting out of the car. It got caught on the door and broke the little bar that connects the watch face to the band. I went to this place because it's the closest to my job and had great reviews, and they certainly live up to all five stars. I called first to check the price and the gentleman said it would be only $5! I took the watch in on my lunch and sure enough, $5. Not only that, but he took the watch back to his workroom and was done in less than 5 minutes. I didn't catch the gentleman's name, but he was very kind and professional, and should I ever have any more problems with my watch, I will be sure to take it here! WARNING: It is cash only (which I didn't know until I got there and luckily I did have cash on me), but please be prepared and take cash when you go. read more

I took my Rolex Submariner 5513 to fix the detent holding the stem. Steven, the watchmaker, suggested to do a full over haul service. I explicitly said to only work on the movement and nothing more. I received my watch back after 2 weeks and realized that he messed with the hands of the watch without informing me. Steven decided to paint over my tritium minute hands with luminous paint and bent the minute hand. This significantly decreased the value of a vintage rolex. He tries to fix the problem by taking off the new paint he applied but was unsuccessful. Then he suggested to take off all the paint and the original tritium and go over it with non-luminous paint and tells me that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference from how it was originally. Doing so would still lower the value of the watch significantly. I refused his suggestion. He then tries to tell me he can get hands for $200 and put it on free of charge. If you are ever in the business of vintage Rolex, you would know that a 5513 Submariner curved hands from the years 1966-1988 would cost over $500+. In the end I walked away with a partial refund and now have to spend $1k+ trying to fix his mistakes. The work that he has done previously for my watches were phenomenal but after this incident I'll have to take my business elsewhere for not being upfront with me. Mistakes can happen and is something that is understandable. However trying to cover up mistakes and not informing the customers about it hoping that they would not find out is just unprofessional. read more

The first time coming here was better then my last, the first time wasn't anything to write about. The second however unfortunately is worth writing about for the negatives. I'm not saying this place is all bad, but they aren't the greatest for sure. I brought my recently purchased Rolex submariner here after reading good reviews here and having work done on one of my cheaper watches. I need a bracelet sizing and wanted a legit check. They wouldn't give any quotes over the phone so I needed to bring the watch there even for a price quote. I support small businesses and usually if I can afford the price asked , I'll usually go through with paying for it. For a bracelet sizing (removing) 1 link, and opening the back for the watchmaker to check the movement and see if it's legit, he was asking $50 (which seemed high), because I was a return customer and I dropped $70 last time to change hands and chapter ring on my seiko mod last visit. I agreed for the sake of helping small business, and he brought the watch to the back left me alone, and shut his work area door... Being that this was my first Rolex, and a big investment on my end I went to the back and knocked on the door to ask what was the process exactly since he just left me hanging. I told him I wanted to see the movement and serial after he opened it up. He said ok he will bring it out and let me know after its open. Kinda seemed like if I didn't ask he wasn't gonna show me. I'm not saying this place would do bad things, but in my head I was thinking if they brought it in the back and didn't open the watch in front of me they could easily switch movements with a clone if they wanted...(they didn't do this though) luckily. About 10 mins later he came or to show me the serial and movement , he said it was real and went to the back to close it up and finish my bracelet sizing. I was thinking that was quite little work for $50 I'm being charged! He came back out with the watch and let me try it on, I could put it on all the way and lock it because he put the clasp on backwards! He laughed and went back to put it the proper way. He came back out and I tried it on, it fit decent and I paid him. After I paid him and he got his money he started to then chit chat and ask about my watch. I asked him about the cost to replace the bezel insert since mine had a scratch he said he was minor and I shouldn't do it. Well it's my watch and I can do what I want so asked if he knew how much the part was and could source it. He said he could do it If I ordered the part. How would I know how to do that? I'm guessing he's not Rolex authorized and can't get access to authentic Rolex parts. Or if I ordered the parts for what ever price he would just charged me a expensive price to put it on. Easy for him as he wouldn't have to order anything and just get labor. He couldn't even tell me how much it would cost which I felt strange as he said he works on rolexes all the time... I was ready to leave and felt i got ripped off for the little work he did, as there was no paper work with any details, and he didn't offer me a receipt. While driving home I could help but to think that the potential he could of easily done whatever he wanted with my watch while the door was shut in the back. Some shady things if they were really like that, and I couldn't do anything cause I got no receipt (my fault and I should of demanded one). I wish they would offer to open the watch and do authentication in front of the customer... That night after looking at the watch again I noticed a piece of black rubber gasket sticking out from the watch back. The watchmaker screwed the back on over the gasket seal , and it was sticking out and not sitting properly! I was pissed, and the next morning rather then going back there to complain even though they would of probably fixed it... I searched for somewhere else since my confidence with them was low already and I didn't want any more mistakes! I went to the Rolex authorized service center in Beverly Hills. They were able to replace my now damaged gasket with a brand new one for free and Install it correctly. They looked at the movement and assured me nothing was changed (thank god) and I replaced my bezel insert with brand a authentic Rolex bezel for under $50 including tax in under 1 hour! Even got a Rolex velour pouch, cleaning cloth, and documents. I should of just came here in the first place! Pretty much I would recommend if you have a Rolex your better off with the authorized service center. I'm giving 2 stars cause he neglected to check his work after and damaged my gasket. That is a amateur move coming from a veteran watchmaker. Either that, or he simply didn't care about my watch. I know my Rolex isn't a super expensive patek or ap, but it's important to me, so I would want the person I'm paying to have work done to treat it as they owned it with care. Came to this shop based on Yelp reviews and was more than happy with my decision. David helped me out, I told him what was wrong and he said no problem and will let me know when it's fixed. 2 days later he told me what was wrong and that all was fixed. Price was cheaper than I expected, but the service was excellent. Definitely come here to get your watch serviced, and to reward yourself for making such smart decisions, go across the street and buy yourself a new Rolex. I have been a frequent customer at WorldTime Watch Service Center and would have recommended this place to anyone. Came several times to adjust my watch band and never had any issues. Stanley has always provided me great service and I've had no problems with him. $10 to adjust a watch band was the price he'd provide. However today I came in to adjust a watch that did have a butterfly Clasp which you could say is a slight bit more labor work, however Steven wanted to charge me $25 for the adjustment justifying the price due to having to remove the links on both sides. I told him it was fine and I was just going to leave and he stops me asking what I wanted. I told him I was always charged $10 to adjust links here and he told me he'd do it to help me since i already came here. To me it seems a bit shady and the price he charged was a little overkill for something that took an additional two minutes compared to all the other times. read more

I honestly have never written reviews for anything before on Yelp but the service I've received here is PHENOMENAL. I had a watch that needed a battery changed and decided to bring along a watch necklace as well. When I called asking for a price, the range was $6-$12 which is pretty typical but I decided to give it a try based on the reviews. I went to the shop and knocked/rang the doorbell but no one opened. After calling the shop again to see if anyone was there, an elderly gentleman opened the door and let me in. Apparently they usually just do watch repairs for companies and rarely get walk-in customers, but he welcomes them anyways. The master watchman's name is Steven Moc and he is the most INCREDIBLE friendly guy ever who's been fixing watches for over 30 years because watch repairs runs in his family so he really knows his stuff. When inspecting my watches he says he had to charge $12 each but only accepts cash. When I hesitated he offered me a discount to fix both for $20, but when I said I only had $17 cash in my wallet he agreed to just charge me $17! He let me in his workshop and allowed me watch him fix it. We entered into easy conversation about his work and I got to practice my limited cantonese with him. After replacing my watch batteries he noticed there were some parts loose and offered to replace them for free. Talk about awesome service!! He also put a mark on the watch batteries and said that if they broke/stopped working before a year was up he would replace them for free. I can tell Steven loves what he does because there's tons of antique clocks everywhere in his store and he even makes his own custom watches made out of coins. Apparently he also sells some high end watches for a good discount and has connections with other retailers. I have two MontBlanc watches that need battery replacement. Mt. Blanc stores no longer does any battery change and the watches needs to be send into their service center, which mean the watches will be gone for a period of time and it is just inconvenient. I fount this store on yelp and after I visited the store to get my battery replaced I can certainly tell you that they are reputable and know what they are doing. One of my main criteria when I am looking for a watch repair / battery replacement service center is to find a place that work with high end watches all the time. And this place definitely quality.
