I visited Steven a few months ago, I don't know how many watch repair stores I had passed by on my way to Walnut from Rosemead, I like to say that it was a good decision. I had my Omega serviced and put into a new old stock case, Steven examined my watch, explained the conditions and provided with professional advises, we agreed on service and Steven did a great job, he even offered a water pressure test for free and told me that my SM300 is now good to swim! When I got in this place, I got to meet Steven Moc, the master watch repairman. We had interesting conversations about how dealers came to him for service/repairs and how those dealers would charge double the premium. In fact, he told me about how a luxury watch dealer across the street sends him watches for repairs. He also has connections to dealers, and he can get you pretty good discounts on luxury watches (especially Corum because he is an independent contractor for them). He is a very friendly and kind man who knows his watches. He is also confident in his repairs that he will give you a warranty for a period of time. My new watch needed to be resized and despite many tries at home, I could not get the screws opened. I decided to bring it to World Time and had a very pleasant experience there. I'm very glad I found this store (thanks to fellow yelpers!). You'd meet the friendliest business owners (Father and sons). I knew my watch was difficult to resize, and the owner told me he needed to cut the links in order to make it smaller without charging me extra money. 10 minutes later, I got my watch, and it fits great. I finally met a watch maker master :) Tips: the shop is located on the second floor of the building (try to park on Colima st. Side and walk up the stair, it'll be on your right. LOCATION: On the second floor, suite 410. Small shop, & you have to ring the bell to enter. WHAT I BOUGHT: I came to get a battery replaced on a watch and it came out to $10 with a 1 year warranty. MY EXPERIENCE: I don't usually feel compelled to write reviews for businesses but Steven & his shop are most deserving of good Yelp reviews. From the way he examined my watch right as i handed it to him, to the decorated walls of antique timepieces, to the old school set of magnifying glasses over his regular glasses, his 35+ years of experience were made apparent. While i was waiting for my battery to be replaced (by someone else in the back room), Steven was consulting a different customer and what i got from this is that Steven is honest and sincere as a master of his craft. It was the type of conversation where the customer wanted this & that done, throwing watch jargon out as if he knew more than the master. Steven assured him not to worry about him scratching the customer's watch, making sure to oil it, etc. but also said that he would need to open it up and if it involves modifying the original product then he wouldn't go further into it. To me it seemed like he cared more about the piece and the customer rather than just saying yes to everything and making a sale. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be coming back here for my other watches! read more

Took my friend's Nixon watch here to have some links removed (then put back, then removed) for 12$ and the subsequent changes to the same watch were free! Just tell them that you've been there before (don't trick them!) and they'll be happy to fix it for you free of charge. Also took my sister's Montblanc watch to change the band on her watch from leather to chain and taken a few links off for 22$. This place is pretty decent but a little difficult to find. It's located on the second floor above the Colima Burgers plaza and you have to ring the doorbell to be let into the tiny store. A good friend recommended this place to me because he couldn't adjust the bracelet on my omega speedmaster pro. He had been there before, and said it was a very unassuming place and you'd never find it unless you knew what to look for. He was right. But he also said once you open the door it's pretty clear they know their stuff about timepieces, and he was right about that too. As soon as you walk in you see a bevy of different clocks, watches, and a comfortable waiting area with watch magazines to satisfy any watch aficionado while they wait for service. This place is run by a father and son, and they definitely know their stuff. I had my watch bracelet on my speedy pro fixed in a jiffy, and I was told that after a week or two, if it didn't fit right, that they'd adjust it again at no cost. Cool. I also got a quote to repair my dad's old Omega that he received as a wedding gift. In just a few minutes, 'the master' diagnosed what the problem was, what he could do to fix it, and pricing for the different options. I'm exceedingly satisfied with the service I received here. The master and his son are professional, kind, and do great work. Their prices are also very fair compared to going to the actual watch dealer. I recently used WorldTime to service my Cartier Calibre watch. My watch stopped moving and needed to be manually wound on a regular basis. Steve performed a full overhaul and repaired some damaged parts inside. He also performed a full external polish since there were several scratches. His work and craftsmanship is amazing. The watch operates and looks like its brand new! He also performed the service in approximately one week (the Cartier store said they would take 4-6 weeks). My only "complaint" is the price. The cost to get my watch serviced here is not cheap. Also, Steve charges a separate price for the overhaul vs. polishing service, whereas the Cartier store charges one price for both. Although the combined price at WorldTime is still lower than the Cartier store, it is not as low as I initially thought/expected. I feel like the price should be even lower for an independent repair shop as compared to the Cartier store. Also, this place accepts Cash only as payment (no credit cards), which is fairly inconvenient since the cost to service my watch was several hundreds of dollars (and would exceed my daily ATM withdrawal limit!). In general, I am very happy with the service and quality of work here. I highly recommend this place for repairing and servicing high end watches. Just be ready to pay for the service! read more

I gave my mom's Rolex 1996 diamond watch to this Steven telling him only several days left before she have to leave to overseas, he accepted the money and said it was done afterwords , my mom called from Main Land telling me the watch was one hour faster than the standard time so I went to the shop and Steven gave me half of the repairing fee. When my mom came to here for the second visit I had her Rolex checked by another watchmaker and he told me the watch was never been cleaned (many tiny dusts left on the dial and the mechanism remain oily) I am a watch collector and somehow know what about a watch, but the experience remain a dark spot on my life. read more

Steven Moc is the living master. He is not just any master watchmaker, but in my opinion the best master watchmaker in all of California and likely in the entire U.S. He can do anything, he can repair any watch or clock you throw at him, mechanical or not, restore your watch back to original condition, and unlike 98% of watchmakers in the U.S., he CAN repair and restore your precious, expensive complication timepieces like minute repeaters, split second chronographs, annual calendars, perpetual calendars, tourbillons, and grande and petite sonneries. I visited him last year 2018 to work on my Jaeger LeCoultre tourbillon watch. I did not think he would touch it, let alone work on it because as you may or may not know no one here in the U.S. works on tourbillon watches - they are all sent back to Switzerland for any type of service, including simple regulation of the time. But to my surprise he not only accepted to do the work but he did an excellent job. He took apart all the tiny intricate components of the tourbillon movement, cleaned them in ultrasonic cleaning machines, lubricated them, put all the components back together again and regulated the time. Now it runs perfectly and I saved thousands, not to mention time (around 1 to 2 years for tourbillon watches) if I had to send it to Switzerland. He also made a tiny component from scratch because the original component was defective and beyond repair. Having gained my trust and confidence I entrusted him to make me a 18K gold watch case to properly encase the tourbillon movement. I provided him technical drawings and he and I worked on this case together. I specified that the case was to be 18K white gold, tonneau in style, with 18K white gold crown and sapphire crystal front and back to exhibit the beautiful tourbillon movement. After about 3 months painstakingly working on it, he produced me a case worthy of the tourbillon movement. The 18K white gold crown was not sourced from a third party supplier but produced entirely by him by hand. Now the case with the tourbillon look much better than the original Jaeger LeCoultre case. The case Steven made for me makes the original JLC case look ugly by comparison. I wish you all can see the case. It is truly beautiful and a one of a kind masterpiece. This was my first visit to Worldtime for the first time where I stopped to buy batteries for 5 of my watches (3 wrist watches and 2 pocket watches.) The service was impeccable (Friendly, professional, and fast.), and the price for the batteries including installation was the cheapest I've ever paid. They even gave me high quality batteries, not some cheap stuff that many watch shops use. Lastly the watch batteries are warrantied for 1 yr! The highlight of the experience (Yes my watch battery purchase turned into an "experience"!) was chatting with Steven who I believe is the owner of the shop. He shared some of the beautiful watches he custom assembled, as well as taught me about the various types of pocket watches that date back to over 100 yrs ago. Steven is one of those passionate true artisan watchmakers who one rarely, if ever meets. He can not only craft his own timepieces, but also can repair any timepiece, regardless of its age (Have an antique watch with missing parts? Don't worry because Steven will have the watch running like new thanks to the replacement parts he literally makes from scratch.) I especially enjoyed seeing the gorgeous watch he crafted with its custom 14K gold case, a beautiful "open" back to expose its name brand (I believe it was Rolex.)
