My spot. Best tacos in California and it's not even close. Dude has over 200 different flavors literally!!

Inconsiderate, lazy, apathetic, unorganized, atrocious and ridiculous. Pulled up by 6pm. Placed order. 58.58. Was told it would be an hour. No problem, I remembered how they roll from years ago. I took my happy butt home to wait. I had time because my special needs son had to be at his board and care by 9 or he gets locked out. I was happy I could treat my family. 814 pm rolls around. No call from WW. I hurriedly take my son and drive over there. After a lot of knocking and raising my voice to get attention, I am told my order isnt ready yet. I no longer can afford to wait. If my son isnt across town by 9, he gets locked out. I ask for a refund. He hands me a copy of the receipt I got a couple of hours before. I tell him that it is 2026. This will not suffice. You've already burned me. I want the receipt that shows I was fully refunded. Another Dude comes out from back and after several seconds, produces the right paperwork. I speed across town and get to my son's home by 847pm. I didn't even have time to stop and grab something for him. I will NEVER BLESS this place with my presence again. There are several amazing Black owned taco spots that don't put you through BS. This is beneath me. I was so triggered I cried on my car. This was utter BS. PERIOD. Ordered 6 tacos at 6:30pm, got my call to come pick up my tacos at 10:30pm!! 4 hours is absolutely egregious! What are they doing is the question? It's tacos! They're okay. They're not great and there's nothing exceptional that takes 4 hours. For my family it was not worth the wait. I've had friends have a $500 each, 11 course meal in Italy that didn't take 4 hours. Been to World Wide probably 10 times and has not once disappointed. I stay in the OC and randomly had a craving for WWT and took a trip. This time I got the garlic chicken and shrimp burrito and tacos w the spicy sauce. The man at the window is super friendly and gave an accurate wait time. It's funny because I always get mad at the wait, but when I eat the food, I always say the wait was worth it. Like a lot of the reviews on here, I went to try Worldwide tacos after watching Issa and Molly rave about it on Insecure. I ordered the BBQ Salmon, Blueberry Shrimp, Jerk Chicken and Curry Chicken. The Blueberry Shrimp was probably my favorite! Each taco is packed with flavor and enormous. You'll be full after two. They have a large menu and (I believe) prioritize fresh ingredients which is why your order might take long. They might be shopping! If you want to go here, prepare to go on a nearby excursion - like a hang out or gym sesh. Usually I hang out in Ktown at a coffee shop or stop by the museum in Leimert Park. I think the Baldwin Hills mall is close too, for a movie or a walk. The first time I went with my friends we chit-chatted and played some games at a coffee shop. Knowing the story of the place, we didn't want the wait to tint my experience. And the food didn't dissappoint! read more

I ordered the garlic chicken, bbq lamb, and potatoes taco! The wait was 1 1/2 hours! Was it worth it? Hell, No! One thing all three tacos had in common was salt! They were very salty and had a very similar flavor profile! I wanted to try the exotic tacos that everyone kinda raves about but you gotta purchase them in orders of 5! 100% worth the wait! Don't care what anyone says. My favorite is the raspberry shrimp taco hard shell so damn good. The wait used to be like 5 hours but now it's only like an hour and I believe that's cuz they make u purchase 5 tacos of the same flavor now. This was so good. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the prices, which are definitely high. $15 for two tacos is no joke but it was delicious so I'll definitely be going back. Here's the scoop: - Food takes a while - our two tacos took 30min so we walked around for quite a while and came back - took a while because made fresh - I think the best part is the meat: the lamb was cooked PERFECTLY. a little red, super moist and juicy - hot means hot. I love this. I mean not overly hot but it's refreshing to see a place that actually serves spicy food rather than just claiming it's hot. - the amount of meat in the taco was very solid! Not skimping at all - the taco shell and the cheese were probably the lowlights. they were fine but nothing to phone home about. Finally got to experience this place. Not sure how it works exactly but I was the first one to order-first customer once they opened. Got my call a few hours later and there were still folks getting their food before me. Maybe we all just got called at the same time and they returned before me. Not an issue but had me curious. I ordered a grilled salmon taco, a bbq salmon taco and 3 veggie tacos. I can say everything tasted great. I would have to try them again and eat everything fresh and hot because I let these get cold and ate them while driving so I didn't do them justice the first time. As far as the ambience, well if you didn't know about this place you would most likely pass them on by. It's a hole in the wall looking place, there are what looks like punctures in the order window from bullets and as my first time here before it opened I wondered by the looks of the place if they were still in business. Sooo I got a lobster taco and a shrimp taco ... both hard shell ... They were both extremely salty and spicy although my husband told them mild .. Wait was about an hour ... They are expensive 2 Tacos, and a burrito 55 dollars.. I ran across a picture of me recently standing outside and realized I had never done a review. This place literally has some of the BEST tacos and fries I've ever eaten in my life. This place is the most awful and dirty place you can ever go to get your food!! I can't believe that people don't even know and buying foods from here! They are grilling all those meats in the back where tons of trash and nasty junk everywhere and I used see even rats was running around this place. Amazed at the hype machine that keeps this place going. Had heard that it was amazing, cautioned that it would take hours for my order to be ready. I finally had a long window of time open while I was in the area and went to see for myself. The menu is impressive but most of the really unique offerings are only available as party platters. The guy at the window kept writing my order down wrong, had to correct him - all part of the charm. Price per taco is borderline insanity. The burrito is a much better deal. Waited just under 3 hours for the call, headed back before their business hours ended. Got a call at 7:59pm. Buzzer beater. Now to describe the food; I'm not sure what takes 3 hours to make but most of that time is probably spent applying salt & seasoning to the meat. Couldn't taste the chicken, beef or salmon under the seasoning. Lamb was able to cut through, I would recommend that to someone who wants to eat here for the experience. The hot sauce is good. I'm glad a business that defies all the normal rules is able to survive in this world. More power to them. Since somehow this spot has made itself a fixture of "best tacos in LA" lists, I offer up my own "Most overrated LA neighborhood fixture taco spots that people swear is actually good but it's because they have good memories of coming here drunk and it's a local pride thing" list: 1. My friend and I are really big insecure fans and this taco stand was the scene of an iconic first date for Issa and Nathan. Obviously when in LA you go to all the food spots from the show, right?! They don't open until 3pm so we arrived maybe at about 3:30pm. I started ordering the tacos that they ordered on the show and I was told that certain tacos are required to be bought in quantities of 5. We asked them nicely (a few times because persistence is key) if we could pleaseeee try without having to buy 5. Like all the reviews before mine, if you come here just know that you should make other plans while you wait lol. It took a little over 2 hours before we got the call to come pick up the tacos. We went and they gave us the tacos we asked for from the show for free! I thought that was the sweetest thing ever! We tried the bbq salmon, Thai shrimp, lemon lime steak, chunky chicken and Belizean shrimp. The Thai shrimp and lemon lime steak were my favorite! They did ask if we wanted them spicy and to my surprise they were actually spicy and that's rare for me because my spice tolerance is through the roof. Found this place in a Yelp Collection and since it's not far from home, lemme check it out! A permanent taco stand with a parking lot, World Wide Tacos will feed you, but then you better beat it for the facilities, lol... There's no getting into this fortress of fajitas - sorry no fajitas, you knew what I was going for, lol! Open air ambiance of the cool evening air, I'm the last order of the business day! They keep odd hours because they can afford to! So don't be later than 8pm! Ordered at the window; lots to choose from. A sister at the window took my order, so I already know the food is going to be good!! She took my number said she'd call when foods ready in about 30 mi. I decided to try a ground beef burrito. I didn't wait that long. Was hooked up with a bottle of water and dessert sample of banana cream pie: OMG it's so sweet and delicious!! Any more than this sample and I'd need an insulin drip!!!! Perfect fries, not overcooked and seasoned just so =D My burrito was heavy with savory flavors. Feels like a 5 lb weight in my hand!!! I knew this place wouldn't disappoint!!! This place freshly prepares (yes, literally) over 150 types of tacos, including various proteins (beef, chicken, turkey, shrimp, seafood, lamb, duck, and combo meats), veggies and meatless options, burritos, combos, family packs, and various sides (such as potato wedges, fries, chips, etc.). Tacos come with cheese, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and cilantro, with a choice of a hard or a soft tortilla shell with the house hot or mild taco sauce; burritos come with cheese, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, cilantro, black beans, and brown rice in a flour tortilla shell with the house hot or mild sauce. I ordered the Mango Salmon, the Raspberry Chipotle Shrimp, and the Blueberry Chicken, all on hard tacos with all the toppings aside from cilantro, with the house hot sauce. These tacos were SO GOOD! Aye if you reading this do yourself a favor and run, not walk but run to this place. I'm an LA native born and raised here and I've never had worldwide before. My apologies to myself. All the music videos, tv shows, and word of mouth reviews does it no justice. Best taco experience of my life and I've got a few stamps under my belt to justify my opinion. Yes the wait is long, however it's not like its mystery, everyone knows things are made to order, the prepare 10+ items per meal with over 20 flavor combinations so yes it will take some so plan accordingly. Listen we all know oil changes take some time so what do we do, plan ahead. Same principle applies here give yourself 2-4 hour window based on your order for your food to be ready. My wife raves about this place and she's been going since she was a kid so she already had her order memorized! We ordered about 15 tacos and burritos to split between 4 adults. Needless to say we didn't order enough. My personal favorite was the Buffalo chicken and an extremely close tie for 1st was the shrimp lemon lime. And the hard shell taco was really hard shell no breakage or anything. No skimping on meat portions or anything. Worth the wait and the $145 tab. Food was so amazing I had to call the restaurant and tell the guy on the phone to slap everyone that worked in there bc this made NO sense how amazing everything was.
