    Chicken Tacos

This evening we were craving some good street tacos. El Unico hit the spot. The chicken street tacos were very tasty. But...let me tell you that the pickles carrots are spicy and that green sauce has a kick too. Overall the tacos hit the spot. We will be back. Nice portions too

My first time here! Loved that they have a drive thru, so convenient especially with Mexican food. So we ended up ordering asada nachos, chicken taquitos plate, & a horchata drink. They have any drink any size for just $1! Such an awesome deal!! The horchata was flavorful. I enjoyed the chicken taquitos it had good flavor. The nachos were OK, I feel like a different kind of cheese would've made them better. The sauces were nice if you love spicy! It's a good spot for the area. They have plenty of parking. The staff is very friendly we will definitely come back to try other items.

    Street tacos. Stick to asada.

We always roll by this drive-thru taco joint and decided to finally try them out. You definitely don't come here for the service, the lengua, cabeza, or pastor. You come here for the convenience of driving thru, their asada, and the hooked up packets of salsa. That roja kicked my ass and I thought I had a decent heat tolerance. Worth trying at least once.

    A hair inside the burrito

I have been coming to this place many times because I enjoy the food, but after today I will seriously reconsider. On August 31, I ordered two breakfast burritos, and in one of them I found a hair inside. That is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of hygiene in the kitchen. The cashier at the drive-thru was named Ashley. If the restaurant cannot maintain basic cleanliness standards, it doesn't matter how good the food tastes--customers will stop coming.

Today, I finally went inside to sit down and eat my favorite fish tacos, they are simply the best. They tasted even better inside. I also ordered the mini churros, light sugar. They were delicious too. The inside dine-in experience is better. I didn't know about all the cool condiments inside. They have chipotle grilled, pickled, and raw onions along with the carrots and jalapeño Yes! The restroom was clean and secure. I was even further impressed with Tacos El Unico the home of the best fish tacos. The service was perfect all the staff was welcoming and helpful.

I normally order the tacos or Mexican burger but this time I ordered the carne asada burrito it was not what I expected, I'll just stick to my usual orders. The burrito was lacking flavor & it had way much more rice than the other fillings.

Eric needs a raise!!! He's so nice and makes sure that your order is correct !!!

Absolutely one my husband's favorite burrito places. The one that he usually goes to is in his old neighborhood in Compton. This one is in my hood Crenshaw near Hyde Park. There is a drive-thru or you can walk in and order. I prefer getting in and out so it's the drive-thru for me. I love the little packs with radish and carrots that are complimentary with your meals. Muchas gracias El Unico

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and everything was presented really well. The enchiladas were flavorful, the grilled fish was cooked perfectly, and the tortillas with the short rib were a table favorite. Portions were great for sharing, and the sauces really tied everything together. Service was friendly and our server checked in on us throughout the night without making us feel rushed. It did get a little busy, so there were a few waits between courses, but nothing that took away from the experience. Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking or park across the street or around the corner in a lot for $5-10.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient with those of us who are not fluent in Spanish. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit. Great food, authentic flavors, and wonderful service make Guelaguetza a restaurant we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended!
