Kool-aid and food truck

Best tacos in the city flavorful Always great customer service A welcoming atmosphere, can't miss the truck

Catering truck

I've been to this truck five times. Every single time I went the food was delicious. The spin on this taco is out of this world. The outside of the taco has some type of red sauce and is layered with a Parmesan crust. The outside is nice and crunchy a big compliment to the inside. It stops the taco from becoming soggy. The kool aid is soooo so sooo goood! The filling is so good! When I fly into LAX I always stop here before heading to my hometown Bakersfield. I must admit I've drove from Bakersfield the very first time to try this taco. The owner is always there and very nice. As you walk up you'll hear some music playing. There are plenty of places to park, the taco truck sits outside of a shopping center. As time went on they've added a few more items not yo wings and some candy coated grapes. I've tried the grapes my niece loves them! I've yet to try the wings that's on my list to try

This was my first time and I drove all the way from Las Vegas and the customer service was exceptional. Definitely a five star. They catered to my food allergy and offered other options off their menu. I truly loved the parmesan enchilada tacos. I would give them a 4 star, I got the steak but next time I will get the turkey tacos. However, the Taco Burger was okay. I would give it a 3.5 star. It was a little cold and didn't really have a lot of flavor to it, but those tacos was a hit and I definitely will be back the next time I'm in the land. Thanks for the amazing customer service. Oh yeah and that Kool-Aid 10 out of 10 really really good especially with some extra ice.

We finally tried the Enchilada taco truck, disappointment y'all . The girl taking the order got it wrong. I said tacos with Kool aid,$22, she wrote just three tacos no drink. I asked for two flavors of wings, lemon pepper and sweet chili, we got sweet chili only that wasn't done. The Kool aid needed more sugar. We got steak tacos I guess they chop the steak up fine that looked like beef but not steak. We said onions and salsa on the side, we got salsa and tomatoes on the side . I think that was the first and last visit . We tried to support our black businesses but...

Some of the BEST tacos I've had in recent memory and it's not even close the owner is super cool and is very personable, so it feels like you're talking to a family member at a family function lol and the music playing makes it feel like it even more so I asked for some recommendations since it was my first time there and they did not disappoint! I got the ground turkey and the steak enchilada tacos and I got smacked with flavor for days not to mention getting their super refreshing Kool Aid drink to wash everything down. They definitely will be seeing me as a returning customer

The food was sooooo good!! I loved the Chicken Parmesan Enchilada Tacos!! They were my all time favorite! They have ground turkey and steak too. My second favorite was the ground turkey parmesan enchilada tacos! I didn't care for the steak it could have been because I tried them with the black olives. Phenomenal customer service!! The ambiance was clean and welcoming. There is plenty of street parking and a parking lot as well. They have stools out as an option if you would like to eat. Thanks so much!! Highly recommended!!

Not to taco chicken burrito supreme; VERY DRY
Debra G.

Ordered a burrito supreme with chicken, tomatoes , onions , lettuce , sour cream, & cheese . They are VERY stingy w/the ingredients & there was No sauce! I didn't see ANY sour cream. The burrito was big & DRY, thank goodness I had some Taco Bell hot sauce packets. I mean really, for $15 it should've came with hot sauce. I didn't know if u had to request it, I didn't & The girl working the grill sho didn't ask or offer. She wasn't the friendliest coal in the stove. Should've went to that Truck on Vernon & Figueroa........

Saw the article in the LA Times about the "Soulful Flavors of the Black Taco" and wanted to check this food truck out. Wonderful service, very helpful, and the food is amazing. Quality of the ingredients supports the price of the food. Big chunks of steak in the four steak ptarmigan tacos. Will be going back to try more menu items.

I finally got a chance to try this taco truck out. I have been seeing it all on instagram so I wanted to support this black owned business and also know if it lived up to the hype? Yes! First the service is great everyone was friendly and helpful. Also I didn't wait long. I want to say at the max I waited 6 or 7 minutes for my order to be ready. I ordered the LAtryguy special $27 + $1 for card. Which comes with 2 enchilada parm tacos (I got 1 steak and 1 chicken no olives or cilantro) and parm Doritos tacos (1 ground turkey and 1 chicken no onions or tomatoes) and a large kool-Aid fruit punch All of them were good but my favorite is the chicken and I did like the enchilada tacos the best. Very flavorful. My only con was the price. I felt like damn near $30 for 4 tacos is a bit much. To where I couldn't see my self coming here often to spend that on a regular. The food and service was really good and the kool-aid was the best I've ever had. But the prices will make me pause in returning.

I wanted to order all the things but I exercised some restraint and just ordered the CARAMELO ($8.75 - Flour tortilla, pinto beans, Monterey Jack cheese, avocado salsa, salsa roja, avocado, cabbage.). I picked chorizo as my protein option. I also, of course, had to also add the smoky grilled poblano chile for $1.25. It was SO good and FLAVORFUL - it didn't even need the salsas. Although, I will note that both the salsas were lovely. The flour tortilla was clearly freshly made. Also, it was a massive portion. I don't know what I was expecting. If this is the size of their caramelo, I don't want to know how giant the burrito is. I also had to get the cucumber agua fresca to pair with my caramelo. It was perfectly sweetened and wonderfully refreshing. I'll have to make my way back here now to try the burrito 2.0 and chivichanga.

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

I've been meaning to try the other items on their menu, but it was so good the first time that I had to order it again. The portions are *very* generous, and they had the usual sides readily available on the side: lemons, cucumbers, sliced radish, grilled onions and peppers, etc. Also had a bite of their corn quesadilla... the tortilla was soooo good. They had the masa on the side and were making the tortillas fresh and by hand. Yum. Payment: - They take Apple pay! :) Parking: - We found street parking nearby thankfully, but it might be hard to find in general due to the area. Seating: - They have seating to the left of their grill (tables, folding chairs, a tarp overhead). Depending on the time of day, sometimes the shade doesn't quite cover your face--the sun was setting and hitting us right in the eyes, so we switched sides to sit facing away from the sun once those seats were available.

Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

The tostada was very hard and chewy thought I was going to brake a tooth. Asada meat and guacamole on the tostada had no salt. The only thing I was able to taste was the spicy salsa, which it's extremely spicy. My chorizo taco cold and the mulita was okay. Tortillas hand made which that's a plus Agua fresca de pineapple tasted water down too much just tasted the water with hint of pineapple. If you new to this place just know that you can ask for frijoles de la olla on the side they are free. I did like that they had grill onions and it's self serve. Street parking available, but know area not the best to be in. Tables have about 3 incase you planning eat there, & if super hungry know you will be waiting for a long time. It's really cool know it's a tire shop during the day and a taco shop in evenings. This place is very laid back attired unfortunately no music playing.

Immediately upon arrival, I noticed the long line of people and said to myself, either this place is really good or really slow. It took me longer to decide what I wanted to try than what it took for the line to move and for it to be my turn to order. So yea, these folks are FAST and very courteous as well. They have real Al Pastor on the trompo (the spit) so of course I ordered pastor tacos and a pastor mulita. I also ordered a few SUADERO tacos which you don't find just anywhere. Also, make sure you ask them for pineapples since they did not include it until we asked. They do have them sliced up in a container by the meats.
