We found them after almost being…read moretaken by a ride for the cost of entirely new air conditioning unit by Len the Plumber Heating and Air. Instead of being conned we called Tom at Universal. He was absolutely wonderful. Came out the next day after our air conditioner stopped running. He easily diagnosed the problem as a bad motor and tried to call his supplier on the spot because if he could get the motor same day he would install it. He wasn't able to get it that day but went on to order it for us. Didn't even charge for the initial visit. He quoted us $1600 for the motor and the install. I put the price here because the first HVAC company we called tried to tell us the motor would cost $3000 and wouldn't guarantee a fix and tried to tell us it was not cost effective to even put one in. When the motor came in Tom quickly called us and returned to install it. He charged the exact $1600 he quoted. Not a penny more. He was pleasant to work with and knowledge. As of now the air conditioner is running great and the blower motor comes with a one year warranty. I will be using his services in the future and hope others will too.

My basement would flood on occasion every time it rained and I also had a few shut off valves under…read morethe kitchen sink and bath that would leak once in a while. So I decided to get in contact with yelp before it got any worse. Out of all of the plumbers sent to me It seemed that Joe from Joe Newton plumbing was the only one that responded to my inquiry, due to the urgency of the situation i hired him for the job. I wasn't aware of this at the time but uppon further investigation we leaned that the water was coming in from a split under the cast iron elbow pipe in the wall connected to the drainage outback also he saw that the water meters couplings were leaking as well, so he suggested to get that fix too and to add another shut-off valve in case of an emergency. Ths cost was a bit high but Joe was nice enough discount the job a bit for me. Yet, totally with it to resolve an issue suck as a flooded basement that would cost thousands if not taken care of. We schedule a time and day and he ​replaced the split pipe and installed a new PVC 90°connection aside from the ugly cement work on the wall at least it doesn't leak any more, he installed the three new shot off valves i requested and fixed the water meters issue. Hopfully it won't leaking againg out of the blue. I recommend Joe Newton plumbing to anyone who's in need of some plumbing issue.

I immediately called the gas company and they came and shut off the gas line. It's the dead of the winter and now I have no heat. I didn't know where to begin. I checked the internet but nothing jumped out at me. I went on yelp and began reading reviews and I ran across Lawrence heating & air. I called spoke to a woman who was very pleasant and told me a tech could come out to assess the boiler to see if it was still usable. Joe came and he looked at it and said it it's a hazard. With all the rust and corrosion and not to mention whatever was on fire. He said it needed replacing. He talked to me about the options and stated I would get an email from the owner of my options. 30 mins later the email was there and everything was included. All the info I needed to know about the unit, specs, warranty, parts/tubing for replacement, price. It was a proposal. I reached out to Lawrence with my questions and he answered right away. I also stated my elderly dad lives with me and elderly need service as soon as possible. That was no problem. He sent me payment options as well. Once I accepted the proposal and date was locked in and they techs came the next day on time. Randy showed up first, then Joe & Chaly. They immediately put down floor draping and loaded all of the supplies , pipes , boiler, etc. They opened all the radiators starting at the top. All of them were pleasant and very Knowledgeable about their job. Any questions I asked Randy explained. They cleaned up behind themselves and made sure everything was put back in place. Once they were done Randy told me about my new unit and what was removed and put in. This company made the entire stressful event so much more easier, like a weight had been lifted.
