They will only charge you ca. $300 to say that the system works, assuming it does at that point in time. However, they will NOT report EXTENSIVE corrosion on the motherboard that will require the next owner to replace the board six weeks later. Apparently, opening the unit is not part of the inspection. Just flipping the switch to find it turns on is sufficient. If you are the seller, this is a great service. But otherwise, beware.

So I agreed for Adam's to come by knowing of their $120 feet.I had been doing some construction next to the emergency cut off switch & not realized I must had hit the switch. Adam's company saw the switch off when they came in and asked if I turned off the switch. They turned on the switch & everything was working again. They told me a lot of people turn it off not knowing. I was thankful that it wasn't any major. I wasn't happy that they charged me an additional $60 for labor. $180 for being at my house for less than 5 min. Then had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to clean my furnace for $412. I will NEVER use this company again. Straight greed!

Here's why: From the replacement of our heat pump in 2017 or 2018 (I can't remember), we have never had a job done that didn't require a follow up because of a mistake or an oversight in the service. Most recently, our heat pump wasn't switching back and forth from heat to cooling with the changing season. We called to get service. I was at work when the technician arrived, but he charged my wife over $100 to replace the air filter claiming that was the problem when we had mentioned in the initial call there was a problem with the compressor. It wasn't the air filter. The problem continued. On a return visit, I recreated the problem for the technician (incredibly nice guy, for what it's worth) and he came to the conclusion that a piece in the compressor needed some lubricant. The store to pick up that lubricant was closed, so he would pick some up and return another day. We never heard another word. So why three stars? My heart says this is a 2 star review. The guys do know what they are talking about, and, judging by other reviews, we seem to be an anomaly. It is why we continued to give them chance after chance for the past 5 years. I am tacking on that bonus star because the technicians that come out are incredibly nice and always answer my questions when I have them and I like that quality. Unfortunately life is getting just a little too busy to keep following up every time they come out and the job isn't complete, so we're going to look for someone who will get it right on the first try.

And happily they weren't. Throughout the whole process, from quote to installation, Bill was informative, friendly, neat, and professional. He took pride in his work and genuinely appreciated being able to be of service. He even went above and beyond and replaced a busted vent he noticed on our clothes dryer. I'm looking forward to a warm garage come next winter and will be calling on Bill for any future heating and A/C needs.

The pilot light wouldn't stay lit. He worked his way from all the obvious and inexpensive fixes and only got to the more more expensive ones when the simple fixes didn't work. He communicates very well -- he told me what he tried and what was next as he went. I ended up needing a new gas valve and pilot assembly. In my 20 years here, I have never seen my pilot so strong. I'm very pleased with his work. He also helped get my potbelly stove with a gas assembly working again and had some helpful thoughts for how to make it retain more heat.

I was terrified by the thought that sewage would come pouring into the house. I know someone who had that happen and it was a nightmare. Mr. Sweeney had the most up to date equipment available. He ran a camera down through the toilet to see what was happening - and it was bad. The roots of a massive cherry tree had gone into the pipe and clogged it. When the backhoe started digging, they found a full septic tank the house was built in the 1950s. Unbelievable. It was just left there when the house was connected to the township sewer system. The full septic tank sat there for decades apparently. We had no idea when we bought this house 3 years ago - maybe the previous owner didn't know - or maybe they knew and did not disclose it. The sewer pipe zig zagged across the yard to avoid the septic tank! It's surprising this crazy mess lasted as long as it did. The tank was pumped out and broken into pieces. Mr. Sweeney did not increase the cost !! So now we have a proper sewer pipe to the township system - and the full septic tank is gone. I am so grateful to Mr. Sweeney, his son and his crew for helping us. And he is an incredibly nice guy! He briefed us every step of the way. Sweeney's Mechanical is absolutely the best !!

They were the cheapest quote I got for the Norristown heater certification if that is what you are looking for! My heater does not use the chimney because its a high efficiency unit vent via PVC and the borough inspector wanted a chimney certification or the heater certification to have a note saying chimney is abandoned. Toto's was nice and responsive and rewrote the certification with this note for me so I did not have to get a chimney certification. They were always very helpful and responsive, would highly recommend.

They have different phone numbers and if you catch him off guard he will tell you his real name is either Lewis when his name is William :/ This young man sent out guys to my property that had no idea what they were doing. They tampered with both my electrical and plumbing and I had to have the work assessed by a professional and take pictures and make records of everything for legal reasons. It is very possible that many of these yelp reviews are from family and friends or paid third party. Be very careful who you let in your home. ALWAYS ask for their detailed paperwork and match it up with their driver's license if you have to. Whatever it takes because there is A LOT of fraud out here nowadays.
