I got the Shredder Pizza. I saw that on Feb 16 2023 .. (or around that date) they won the pizza bake off, on GOOD MORNING AMERICA !! for their breakfast pizza!! Like WOW !!! I went there Feb 20th & I wanted the most popular pizza & I didn't want the breakfast one, yet. They recommended "The Shredder" with a side of ranch. I ordered it as "pick up," .. I could smell it all they way home. I gave them an extra $10.00 for a tip bcz I felt so lucky to buy this famous pizza :) .. this pizza is out of this world delicious. I can't say enough about how different and delicious this is. Yum ... is so worth the time, effort and money !! It is sooo perfectly tasting so good. It had some kind of sweet & hot flavor added. Located in the bustling North Loop area, this is a great spot to visit if you're hanging out with friends and drinking beers on the town. 1 pizza has 6 slices that are thick and delicious, I'd say 2-3 people could split 1 pizza as an appetizer or snack. As for the flavor, I had the classic wrecktangle pizza with extra honey sauce and thought it was delicious. I love a good crunchy thick crust, and there was crunchy cheese bits that coated the sides of the pan too. Yum yum yum!!! The honey sauce was also delicious! I think the only thing I wasn't impressed with was the flavor of the pizza sauce and toppings. I feel like I could only taste the cheese crust and barely could taste the pepperoni. Located in the hipster/We Work North Loop shared Galley Food Hall communal kitchen building, it currently only does takeout and dine-in. We got a make-your-own with their vegan cheese blend and vegan pepperoni ($15 + $3 for vegan cheese + $2 for vegan pepperoni + $4 for onions and mushrooms). The toppings, tax and tip add up quickly; in the end, an 8x10" pizza will cost you $30, so this place is really expensive. While pricey, the pizza itself is fabulous. The sauce and vegan cheese are both tangy and fresh; the vegan pepperoni has great texture and snap. Best of all, the crust is fluffy, with a slight chew and slight crispness; it's the perfect Detroit crust. If Wrecktangle added vegan sausage and a cashew cheese option, it would likely warrant another star. read more

I recently ran across a tik tok video describing these fabulous pizzas and then one of my best friends recommended we try this thick crust pizza place. At first I was skeptical because they look kind of like Chicago deep dish pizza, and for a girl who LOVES New York style pizza, I was about to pass on this place due to the crust thickness. However, I am SO glad I gave this place a try because honestly, I'm still thinking about their pizza. The crust is so thick, crunchy and buttery. It's melt in your mouth good. The toppings are fresh and the pepperoni are so tiny and cute, some of the pieces are crunchy from toasting in the oven. The shredder has honey on it. This combination was so genius I had to add some honey to my pepperoni pizza. Add a drizzle of honey to your pepperoni pizza! I promise you, you will not be disappointed. The combination sounds weird but its finger licking good. My fiancé and I ordered our own pizzas and we still had the other half the next night for round two for dinner. Pizzas 9.1/10 The service is impeccable, these peeps work their butts off in a hot small kitchen. They are moving so fast and with such great execution it blew me away. The fact that they were able to do so much with the pizzas while being rushed during a heavy load of orders was a standard that couldn't be met by most pizza joints. Combine this with a pleasant conversation with the crew and a quick delivery of our table makes this a great experience. This pizza is no joke! I love Detroit style pizza, it's big and puffy and toppings are ample. It's definitely a filling pizza and not too greasy. We got the community Pizza which had a bunch of really complimenting toppings including goat cheese balsamic vinegar arugula. The pizzas to take a little longer to come out compared to the rest of the food that our group ordered and we were so full we took two pieces home. Would definitely come back here to try another pie! The food Hall is pretty busy and the ordering space can be kind of cramped. It's probably a good idea to scope out your options and make a decision quickly. There's no wrong choices! I'm not normally a huge pizza person. I like the occasional woodfire pizza, but usually enjoy a salad more. But I wanted to check out Wrecktangle because of all the buzz around it being the best pizza in the country. The reputation is completely deserved. It's truly delicious pizza. I got The Shredder without the honey and was blown away. It somehow manages to be Detroit deepdish while still being crispy. I don't usually love a traditional deep dish, but it was great here. The pizza was well-balanced and had some great heat and tanginess from the pickled jalapeno and the pepperoni offset the pecorino romano. The pizzas are 8"x10", but that's surprisingly large. There are 8 slices, but each slice is extremely filling and I can't see people eating more than 1 or 2. I took some of the extra pizza and froze it so I could enjoy it later. It even reheats pretty well. I went to the location at Malcolm Yards. I went at an off-time - about 3pm, so I didn't have to wait long - tops 20min. read more

Breakfast - this pizza was made for me. If it has an egg on it - I want it, incredibly flavorful and again - crust so crispy. 3. Broccoli/Cheddar - again, amazing.
