I politely told her that we were leaving because we had been sitting there for 30 minutes without being served. What disappointed me even more was that she seemed completely unconcerned. I understand restaurants get busy and things happen. We would have been fine if someone had simply acknowledged us and said, "Sorry for the wait, we'll be right with you." But sitting for 30 minutes without even being offered water or acknowledged is unacceptable. It's unfortunate because we genuinely like Ruby Tuesday and were excited to come back.
