Food wasn't as good as in the past but probably our fault as we selected the wrong choices today. Benefit of a doubt is paramount. It was self service but oh the views are nice. It's worth the stop. They have a lot of sandwiches as well hot specials as well.

For those at Pearl Harbor or Hickam that want a sit-down lunch, this place is convenient. We came here for lunch, so this review is reflective of lunch. Customer service is okay. Let's put it this way, they're doing the bare minimum to take your order, process the transaction and deliver/alert you for your order. But more importantly, the food. My sandwich was bland. I think there was pesto but pesto as a standalone sauce is kind of bland unless it's the best pesto in the world. Maybe it was because the chicken was also very bland and the cheese (surprisingly) didn't help. Would not recommend (unless you bring your own sundried tomatoes/favorite sauce with you). Did not try my coworkers' food but one of them remarked how cold their onion rings were immediately after retrieving their tray from the counter. Yikes. I'm not sure about everyone else but I can't imagine eating cold onion rings unless I was starving. Prices were not impressive. Typical plate lunch range ~$15+. I probably won't come back here unless my coworkers want to. And if that's the case, I will not be getting this sandwich again.

**Need military ID or CAC card to access this place ** Credit cards only also. Recently remodeled, this cafe is open for breakfast and lunch on Hickam AFB and has oceanfront views that are hard to beat. Breakfast is awesome and reasonably priced. Omelettes, and Breakfast #1 with hash browns are my faves. Daily specials for lunch that are around 12 bucks with prices that are hard to beat off post. Burgers, Philly Cheesesteak, and paninis are my go tos also. 5stars

#1 with sunny side eggs. Mine has portuguese sausage. His has ham aka bacon. Was expecting ham sliced but bacon is always welcomed.

This is our go to spot for diner like meals at the water. Super casual place where you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. I've only ordered their breakfast and I've never been more satisfied. Amazing value for anything you pay. Their omlettes are huge and the breakfast I order always comes with plenty of toast. I think you get two full slices per person in either wheat, white, or sourdough. I also enjoy their hashbrowns. Where else can you get a mega breakfast for under $10 a person? And a glorious view of the ocean? One morning we even saw two ships come in. Service is nice and they take care of you if you have questions. But all condiments, water, and extra silverware are all self service. Then you just stand up and leave your table for a nice stroll along the path into the park. Not sure if I'd like to visit during lunch. Must be busy and it may get hotter in the afternoon.

This place is a hidden treasure! Located towards the back on Hickam Air Force Base, the food here was simply delicious. You do need Military access to eat here, and the ambiance is a very casual cafeteria ordering style. They are only open until 1 so you have to be quick to catch them but it's usually not too crowded even on a weekday during lunch hour. There's seating inside and outside and the view is nice overlooking the harbor. We ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger and kid chicken tenders and we were not disappointed! The portion was generous and the burgers were huge and tasted amazing. My favorite was the home style onion rings ! Definitely will be coming back

You definitely have to know where this place is or you'll miss it. I remembered how to get here because I had a project nearby and we ate lunch here all the time. Well, we normally ate something from the pre-made hot food line, but it's been closed down since COVID-19. I was hoping that the hot food line would be open by now, but it was still closed, so I ended up getting the oriental chicken salad. The chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and not oily; it was so good with the oriental dressing. The salad itself was really huge, with 6 pieces of huge cucumbers and a bunch of won ton chip, sesame seeds and almonds. My only gripe about this salad is the sesame seeds were not toasted and there were a handful of bad mixed greens within the salad. Everything else was delicious and more than enough to fill me up. If you have base access, you should definitely stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner..

Where else can you get SOS for breakfast (IYKYK)? The other breakfast foods were also good. Nice fluffy pancakes, eggs cooked just right and of course some Portuguese sausage! It's a basic kind of joint but the food is very tasty and reasonably priced. You can't beat the location either!

Food was pretty decent. You have to order from the cashier and they will bring your food to the table. You are expected to clean up your own dishes after which is kind of odd considering the trash is like you would find at a fast food restaurant. I ordered the breakfast steak medium rare with 2 eggs over medium, hash browns, and toast. Steak was well done, I'm not sure why they asked me how I wanted it. Everything else was pretty good.

The atmosphere of this place isn't the most exciting but it's very nice when you walk outside to the patio seating and get to experience both Pearl Harbor and the mountains. The inside is kind of dark and iree but there is some good natural lighting. The ambiance is polar opposite from the inside to outside. Keep in mind that Hickam has the flight line on it so it is very loud with engines coming and going. They have large portions and quite the number of breakfast option to choose from. The have both fountain drinks and bottled drinks to choose from. They serve your food on trays and it acts almost like a buffet style but you yourself can't touch the food, you choose what you want and have to wait until it's ready.

Other than needing some salt, really good. Choke mushrooms on top. One half was scrawny, but hubs had the other half for leftovers and choke marrow. YUM. - Sunchoke and Brussels - YUM. Baby ate some but was not really thrilled about it. I loved it. - Scallop and Mushroom Risotto - YUM. Delish. Baby liked it too. So much leftovers of everything. Realized when we ate it for leftovers it was all pretty oily and needed a pinch of salt. But otherwise great. Staff really nice and helpful. Love that the place is spread out and open. Bathrooms are not assigned which I'm sure can get gross, but is great to not have to wait for just the women's. There is a big stall which was perf since baby is potty training and had to go #1 and #2! Only thing missing was a hook to hang my purse and her bag. Great dinner...but if anyone is listening...bring back the shrimp and grits!!!

We came around 4PM and were surprised it was almost empty (but slowly it did get busier). Our food came with complimentary bread with guava sauce. It was really good! The bread is toasted, crispy, and buttery. Everyone in my party enjoyed it. We did not expect our food items to come in really large portions. I loved the chicken karaage! The batter was light and crispy with great flavors and had a yummy sauce drizzled on top. It also came with a scoop of rice, buttered corn, and Mac salad. Mac salad was delicious! Prime rib sandwich came with salad and au jus sauce and a side of salad. It's good but also very filling. I didn't try the burger or teriyaki chicken but was told both were delicious. After dinner, we ordered a few items from the bakery to eat on the plane. You have to take a number and wait for them to call it. I got 2 kouign Amannn, 2 Dubai coco puff, and half dozen green tea puff. The kouign amann is a circular croissant. I liked that it was soft and flaky and had a sweet, crispy glaze over it. The Dubai coco puff had a strong pistachio crunchy flavor but I thought it was way too sweet for me personally. The Star of the show are the green tea cream puffs! I would come back to just order that! The top filling tasted like a thick creamy brown butter green tea-flavored icing. The filling inside doesn't taste like brown butter and less thick but still really good. Overall, they had really good food and items from the bakery. Highly recommend the infamous green tea cream and chicken karaage dish! Customer service was quick and professional though I felt like our server wasn't that friendly lol.
