We've had a very bad experience and poor customer service. We ordered a Burger basket with some sautéed onions but we got raw onions in it instead. Well that could have not been a big deal until we brought it up to the manager's attention who also happened to be the one who took our order. Instead of apologizing he insisted that we ordered the burger with raw onions and made us look stupid and did not even bother to make things right. And he was so defensive and insisted that that's what we ordered. Thanks to the girl server who hurried and asked the kitchen staff to make some sautéed onions because it should not be a big deal in the first place according to her and seriously how hard it is to do that instead of fighting a customer. Well we got the sautéed onions but definitely not coming back again. The poorest customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. Food is good definitely not the best though. read more

About as good as it gets for what it is. Good burgers, onion rings and shakes. We always go inside so end up ordering via the phone at our table. Not my favorite way to order but the kids find it entertaining. Food takes a while to arrive but it's made fresh and tastes great. i love this place, I went to college right up the hill and we would always want wrights! We went for the awesome food, the music, the whole atmosphere and hey there was a waiter that was extremely good looking so that helped only alitte. We would always try to find one of the booths which when its busy is slim pickings but its cool how you call in your order and while waiting can go use the free jukebox with classic hits. The burgers are so much better than mcdonalds, mcdonalds has nothing on there superburgers. The shakes are really good and everything just comes out nice and hot and extremely yummy! read more

This place is a great stop. The chicken basket is my favorite, and I love their potato tots. It all comes out hot and tastes great. I even liked the onion rings, and I'm usually not an onion ring fan. It's better quality than what you'd expect a drive-in place to have! It's retro and tasty, and they give a LOT of food, so be ready to eat! I've never eaten inside though, but it's the same food either way, so I assume it's just as much of a delight. read more

We've been going to Wright's since the 1950's. If there were six stars, Elwood Cash would certainly deserve it. Even if people aren't familiar with Staunton, they are familiar with "Wright's." I am surprised at the lack of 5 star reviews this place was great. We had bacon cheeseburgers, fries and a regular hotdog. The bacon was juicy yet crisp, sauces weren't slopping off the burger or leaving me looking under the bun. Meat was juicy and flavorful as well. I love French fries and the crinkle cut they have were up to par. Lightly salted, enough crunch that you aren't eating potato chips and not so soft you feel like you are eating a twizzler. If I had one thing to say on the negative it would be the food took about 10 minutes to come out but when we realized it was because it was being cooked fresh we got over it. read more

So been to this place several times before,food has been great and the service.However this past weekend my friend and I went in for lunch.After getting order I opened my container of potatoe salad,took three bites,on the third bite I was about to chomp down on,which looked like a sliver of onion,put in my mouth,at first I thought it was piece of glass but instead piece of hard plactic.Asked for the manager and he literally came out so defensive and acting as if I had put it in there.He refused to take any responsibility and really made me feel I was to blame.Waiter was more caring and apologized for his manager.The manager actually got the waiter to come out and asked what I felt was reasonable and he said the manager checked the cameras and he seen I did not place anything in the food.I cannot believe the way they handled the issue.I refused to pay and I doubt very seriously I will ever go back.Its a shame ,the food has always been good there,but that is not a way to be to your customers at all. read more

Delicious salads and very juicy, tender burgers. Good old sweet tea and delicious desserts for those with a chocolate addiction. Pretty cool old timey diner experience. You order by phone which was neat and also nice because we could look at the menu as long as we wanted. We got two burgers and onion rings. The food came out pretty quick and it was all pretty good. The burger was a teensy bit on the dry side but still tasted good, especially for the price.
