They fixed the door, now a few months later I have the same problem of the freezer not freezing. I called a different company and have identified a different cause. I don't know if it will fix the problem, but what I do know is DMV Pro Tech did not fix it. Definitely not worth the time and money.

The technician showed up at 6 pm (outside of the designated repair window), spent 60 seconds looking at the dryer, and was unable to recreate the issue in real time. Which is fine, the sound is intermittent and that is no fault of his own. However, I took a video of my dryer several days prior and when I showed him the footage, he openly agreed that the sound was atypical. But instead of looking into it further, he left in a rush since it was already late. 24 hours later, the noise was back and I reached out to LG Customer Care about follow up service. However, they are now refusing to send someone back out because this technician claimed the issue was likely caused by dirty vents. So you be the judge. Avoid this company…read more LG sent this company to my house to look at my dryer that is throwing a D80 error code. During the initial call, the technician automatically blamed my dryer vent as the problem on the phone even though I told him multiple times that I had the dryer vent line serviced and verified that the dryer was pushing air at an adequate speed. He was extremely rude on the phone during this call and hung up on me after confirming a time frame to arrive. He did not call me ahead of time to notify me that he was on his way and showed up to my door 45 minutes before the end of the window. When he finally did arrive, he looked at the dryer vent line and pulled lint out of my dryer which was clearly an issue, but ultimately refused to diagnose the issue further even though I showed him a picture of the error code from earlier in the day produced using the dryer's diagnostic mode and several weeks ago during normal use. I ultimately had to kick him out because he was arguing with me the entire time he was there and insulted me by saying I needed to see a Doctor when I told him to leave. A normal appliance repair company technician would have been respectful from the initial phone call, called ahead of time to tell me he was on the way, and actually diagnose the issue properly instead of deciding ahead of time what the problem is without listening to my concerns.

Our LG refrigerator freezer stopped making ice. We checked all the usual things and couldn't get it…read moreworking. We checked the freezer temp and it was 20 degrees when normally it is about -2 degrees. We called KOAM on Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm. We learned that there was a service person nearby that was finishing another job. He was able to get to our house within 30 minutes. The service person took his shoes off at the door, laid out blankets to protect our hardwood floors and used a protective panel under the refrigerator when he moved it. He diagnosed the problem very quickly. He said that if the temp in the freezer is too warm, the ice make turn off. The actual problem was the evaporator was leaking refrigerant, so it needed to be replaced. He had one on the truck, so he was able to replace it in a little over an hour. The service person was very fast and efficient. We removed all the food in the refrigerator and he removed all the shelves and drawers and back panel. I didn't know it came apart so easily. We were able to thoroughly clean all the shelves and drawers before he reassembled the inside. It looks and run like a new appliance. The labor cost was a lot higher than expected, but in the whole scheme of things, it was worth it. I think the service person completed the job in half the time as any other service person could have done. If we didn't get it fixed so quickly, some of the food in the freezer and refrigerator may have gone bad, or I would have needed to get a lot of ice to keep the food cold over the weekend. That would have been a big hassle. Plus, the service person finished at 4:00 pm and we were have a dinner party at 6:00 pm. I think we really lucked out getting a service person so quickly, but KOAM really saved the day.

They also told me Via has a $139 diagnostic fee while Koam has a $99 diag fee. I called to get a written estimate just for the diagnostic fee so that I could provide to my home warranty company and they refused to provide. All I needed was an email so that I could get it approved before scheduling the service. The lady cut me off several times and refused to let me speak. She then told me my diagnostic fee is $149 instead of the $99 Kitchen Aid told me. I told her kitchen aid told me the price and she said it's not updated. I wouldn't recommend them. Seems like they got certified, told KitchenAid their pricing to undercut VIa, and then switch the pricing when a customer calls. And then refuses to provide it in writing.

He ordered the part and came two days after (Sunday was Father's day) and after replacing the microwave was working. So far so good. He saved me at least $400-$500. It is very hard to replace the built-in microwaves, trim will not match or fit and have to buy the trim separately. He is awesome!
