I had a friend recommend B and J's automotive to me and I thought I would give them a chance-it's odd that my first real job was at B&J's burgers in San Dimas. First, I have to say that there was no pressure that you would normally find in small lots or even large dealerships. The cars are priced well; it appears that the B&J owners make sure that their employees are honest and care about the people coming through the doors. I worked in professional sales for 10 plus years before I became a professor. I can tell when people are genuine and when they're not, and these people are genuine. I was looking for a car to meet my son's needs, and I found a nice 2013 Toyota Corolla. It was in very good shape for being that old. Yes, you're going to find little scrapes here and there and possibly little minor defects but unless you go back in time and bring that car with you, you're not going to find something as clean as this one. This is an honest dealership. There are no hidden markups, no added tinted windows or security devices that you see in many other dealerships. Many dealerships will offer a price that seems enticing, however they have many add-ons like an upgraded stereo, upgraded wheels, upgraded tinted windows, upgraded sound system, upgraded security system and so on. NOT HERE. There is only one person that you need to ask for and that is Brian Ponce. He is the quintessential salesperson, and I'm 61 and I know salespeople that are good because he listens and he doesn't try to talk over you and tries to oversell. When you go there ask for him if you do not, you'll be doing yourself a disservice this is not to say that the other employees are poor workers, because I didn't meet them, but my experience with him was so intense that I can't imagine doing business with anybody else. It is a small dealership and usually I don't even go to these places. Again, because I was recommended by a friend, I did so. The car's outstanding I already had my mechanic check it out and of course there are a few minor things to do to it but nothing major the engine was great, the brakes are great the transmission's great the interior is great and again you can't expect everything to be perfect because it's thirteen years old. I am not a professional Yelper; I'm a normal person who tells it the way it is. Make an appointment with him and be on time and he respects that. I respect that someone values my time and is ready for me. I know there's a lot of unscrupulous people out there, but this place is not one of them. I'm going to send you a picture and you can see me in the picture. I'm a teacher, I don't have a lot of money to spend, and I believe in value and honesty, and this is where you'll find it. I hope you have an opportunity to speak with Brian and find a car that you like but to be honest I mean you have taxes and fees on top of everything you see and that's not the salesperson's fault, that's the state of California's fault. No matter where you go, you're still going to have to pay those same taxes so why not go to a place that will treat you justly, and with respect.

Mark has helped me around June for a different recall for my LEAF vehicle and has been my contact since. When I reached out to him again but about my rearview camera, I felt relief and reassured that he listened to my concern thoroughly and provided the written documents (for paper trail) I had requested because I definitely did not want to shoulder a backup camera issue that was affected from 2024 that's showing signs of acting up 2 years later since it couldn't withstand normal hatch operations. I was dedicated to getting my hardware replacement for free (under this old recall issue), or just walking away, and definitely Mark showed incredible competence and communication with me during my visit. At the time of writing, my vehicle is getting the replacement on the same day! He is absolutely wonderful with excellent customer service and I strongly recommend him to other customers. Apart from loving my first LEAF, Mark will also be one of the reasons why customer satisfaction is high, and my loyalty to Nissan still so strong today. Shoutout to Yazan for being so accommodating during my wait and showing me the complementary drinks/snacks table and offering me a coffee (which, for so long, I thought it was an employee break area -- don't judge me ). After arguing over it for several minutes, telling him repeatedly I didn't want it and didn't believe that it was all included (I could tell it was a subscription) I had no choice but to give in as it stalled the process and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get the new car. This forced me to go back the next day to the dealership on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, waiting to be helped to get the contract revised. Now, it's three weeks since that transaction, and Nissan of Orange has not paid off my prior loan to Bridgecrest who is now blowing me up for payment. I have called and left messages to several different people, and no one has called me back. It's really simple...most dealerships pay off the last loan for the buyer by 10 days. This is the 10th trade-in I have made in my lifetime, but the first issue I've had of sorts. Going forward I don't see how I can justify giving my future business to them, when I have been lied to, inconvenienced, and now ignored.

As far as service, we have been loyal to the dealerships to have all our work done as each of our cars have aged. Our latest Honda is a 2016 Civlc which has been under the care and tutelage of Freeway Honda in Santa Ana, California. In 2023 we noticed the AC did not work properly. We took it in and they replaced it, as it was under warranty. In 2026 we took it in and they repaired the condenser at no charge. This was in January of this year. Our current problem with the AC began again in May. The AC did not work, again. We took it in. Our friendly service advisor Teresa told us it was a new problem, the "Evaporator." The cost of repair would be $2,000, and it is not under warranty. We are one our own. I called Honda corporate. They were very encouraging about helping us. She informed us that the 2016 Civlc is notorious for having issues with both the evaporator and the condenser. Honda decided to extend the the warranty for the "condenser" but not the evaporator. She was very positive about helping us and doing something to help us since this is a common problem. Then the nightmare began. Hector took over our case. He reviewed the information, and offered no promises. After two weeks, he dismissed us with a full and complete denial of our case. No help. No discount. No explanation. No thank your for being a twenty plus year customer. My stepmom worked for Honda in El Segundo, California. No support for loyal, faithful, long time customers. Upon further research, we found that the condenser when it fails, can cause the evaporator to fail. The faulty part under warranty caused the good part to fail which is not under warranty. We again, are on our own. No help from Honda. No support for loyal, faithful, long time customers. Again, no help from Honda for us. So much for loyalty to their customers, no commitment to stand behind the quality of their product. Even though our car is ten years old, it has very low millage. It is in pristine condition. We believed in the product. We supported Honda cars. Times have changed. Honda has fallen. You are on your own. No support for loyal, faithful, long time customers. This is not the Honda car company I grew up with. We will never return to a Honda service department. They said it is unlucky this happened to us. Well, a huge thank you for that comment. We would like some help. Some understanding. Some compensation for all the trouble from Honda. We warn all our friends to choose a more dependable car company that stand behind their product, knowing that customer loyalty is at the heart of any successful car company. No support for loyal, faithful, long time customers. Coupon? Discount? Extend our warranty? Help? What happened to Honda? They now abandon their customers.
