WENT DOWNHILL..... We have been eating here regularly since it arrived in Frankfort (and was called Big Tuna). We have always loved their sushi! That is - until a few months ago. What arrived was hard, fishy, chewy, and bland. It was TERRIBLE!!! So much so that I called to complain. They gave me a credit. I went back last night (7/22/18) and again everything was HORRIBLE: fish was chewy and "fishy", fried rolls were hard as a rock, and nothing tasted right at all. They must have new owners, new chefs, new suppliers, etc. SOMETHING has changed and we will not be going back ever. I am so disappointed. We have always loved this place. Was hesitant because of some mixed reviews but decided to give it a try last Saturday for our anniversary. Nicely decorated. Our server had a thick accent & was a little tough to understand but her service was excellent. We ordered a variety of rolls & some eel sushi. All were very good. Naruto roll tasted very fresh & will be added to my list of fav things although next time we will ask for forks as it was hard to pick up without falling apart. Ordered too much food which made the cost higher than we would have liked but we had the leftovers for dinner the next day so that balanced it out. 2 of us eating had the spicy maki platter (3 rolls), naruto roll, eel avocado roll, spiderman roll (really good w/mango' crab tempura, cucumber, tuna, avocado & crm cheese), and eel sushi with 2 large Sapporo beers incl tip was around $100. Decor and food were amazing. Our server was very nice and professional. Unfortunately the hostess was a little rude and greeted us by saying, "can I help you?" Which was quite confusing for a restaurant. There were a few regulars that were not only obnoxious but crude and ruined the atmosphere for us. Although I ordered for take-out, I must comment on how nice the inside was. We ordered noodle dishes and seaweed salad. The noodle dishes were decent, probably better if we had chosen to dine in. The seaweed salad was not good. I usually LOVE seaweed salad, but something was off about this - it tasted old. I plan on returning and hopefully updating my review. To start, the presentation of my sushi was wonderful. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and the king crab roll and they tasted great! But for $8.95 and $11.95 I only got a total of 10 pieces. I'm not sure if that price is high or low, but I am a broke college student who expected a little bit more food for that price. This is my favorite restraunt in the entire area. Spectacular service and delicious food. They have some of the best sushi presentation that I've seen. We were there Saturday at 1pm. Several other tables but by the time we left we were the only diners in there. The decor is beautiful, the menu has a great selection. We didn't get any edamame while waiting for our food, as another recent reviewer shared. The service was ok, not terrible but not 5 star. The food from miso soup to sushi was out standing! When we left we saw 5 employees who had come in while we dined, presumably for the evening shift, that we seated at a large table near the front, sleeping! There heads were face down in their coats, on the table. Resting before your shift I get - but this would have been best done in a back break room. It was off putting. I have never been so appalled by a waitstaff's comments regarding another patron. As a Middle Eastern couple left, one of the waiters initiated a conversation with my daughter and me about not trusting them because they were probably Muslim. The conversation continued, but as it was evident that we were on polar opposite sides of the spectrum, all we wanted to do was leave. The waiter continued to make judgmental and offensive comments creating such an uncomfortable situation that it didn't matter that our meal was delicious. We wanted to leave. Lunch time special for 2 rolls is a great deal and the only place in town offering bottles of wine at half price on a Friday and Saturday night. We were the only ones there for awhile and got our food pretty quickly even though we ordered a ton.My parents weren't a fan of the waitress but I thought she was OK. The sushi was excellent! Our waitress took our order and served our food. After which, she never came back to check on us and never came by to refill our drinks. I asked for a fork with which to eat the fried rice. She came back with *gasp!* a PLASTIC FORK! Really? Your fancy dancy restaurant could not afford real utensils? She said she was going to come back with a "real fork" and never did. We normally visit the Orlando location but couldn't get a table for three so we went down the street to Woow in Frankfurt. My first visit at this location and my first observation was that the wall that our table was against was splattered with food, which is never a good sign. Our waitress was prompt, took our order and when my wife ordered tea the waitress brought it in a mug. Odd for a Japanese restaurant. We ordered sushi and asked that the sushi come after our miso soup. The soup was delicious but suddenly came my Pad Thai and nothing else. Because a asked for the sushi first, clearly the waitress didn't understand a Japanese meal nor respect our request for sushi served first. I put my Pad Thai to the side and we waited. Then came my friends teriyaki entree. Still no sushi. My friend flagged down our waitress for a fork and when the fork arrived she was handed a plastic fork and the waitress walked away. Frankly we were shocked! Plastic fork? We didn't get any picnic memo so I flagged down the water boy who was also in shock. He remarked that they were out of clean dishes. He left and came back with a clean fork he personally washed and delivered wrapped in a napkin. So my friend started her entree, my Pad Thai was still getting cold and NO Sushi! My wife asked the waitress for more tea and like a diner she brought the whole pot and reached across my friends meal to pour tea. Weird. Finally the sushi arrives, on dirty, chipped plates. Our Sushi was very good and my Pad Thai was very good, but I'm certain the fork that was included on the plate was dirty. The fork handle was sticky and had dried food on it. I ate my Pad Thai with my chop sticks. Water service was excellent! I asked the water boy for the manager. When she arrived our waitress suddenly surfaced and walked past, commenting out loud that we were "complaining". Yes, we were. Regarding her rude service, the order in which our food was served, the tea service, the PLASTIC FORK, and noted the water boy washing a fork for us and delivering it appropriately in a napkin. The manager apologized, stating the restaurant had been extremely busy and she would speak to our waitress. We asked for the check. Suddenly our waitress arrived at the table, and while posturing looked at me and quipped, "manager bring you something to the table, I know I the problem". No apology, nothing. Just more bad behavior. The manager brought dessert on the house and took 15% off the bill, which was appreciated. The food was good but because of the dirty walls, dirty flat wear, plastic fork, dirty chipped plates, tea service and bad behavior, we won't be returning. I'll stick to WOOW in Orland. Service in Orland is top notch! PS, we handed our 20% tip to the water boy and told him he should be running the place and not serving water. read more

We went here last night for our friend's birthday and were highly impressed not only by the food but also by the service. We dealt with 2 women. One took our orders and the other helped out from time to time interacting with us through out the evening. Both handled our group really well and they were both really fun servers! The sushi was delicious. We had the Godzilla, The Philadelphia and the Dragon. We also had Mai Tai's which they did not skimp on the alcohol. On top of it one of our other friends checked in on Facebook so they gave him a free drink. Such a nice surprise.They also gave our party free Saki Bombs and a beautiful ice cream platter dessert to celebrate our friends birthday! The ambiance is also really nice and contemporary in there. After going here based on Yelp comments, have gone back so much in the first half of the year. But with a pregnant wife, and to not tempt her, I have almost gone cold turkey on sushi since. I cannot wait to get some, and go back to BT. Portions are very good for a Japanese restaurant and they're non sushi menu portions are very large! I enjoyed the experience here. Our group of four visited on a Sunday around 6:30pm. While it looks like the decor is date quality, we wore casual clothes and didn't notice any looks about it. I especially love the sparkly upholstery on the chairs. The waitstaff was a little slow to take our orders, but was on time for drink refills and the food was clearly brought right away. The menu is part sushi and sashimi and part Chinese entrees, for the most part. We ordered gyoza, crab rangoons, 7 sushi rolls, and a chicken with broccoli. I could have eaten the gyoza all day. It was very tasty. The crab rangoons were just a little stingy on filling, but didn't fall short on taste. We ordered the following rolls to share: tuna avocado, angel hair, 007, volcano, dynamite, honey, and spiderman. My favorite by far was the spiderman roll, and my least favorite was the angel hair, but everyone at the table found the sushi they had ordered quite good. We were given complementary edamame before they took our order and cantaloupe after the meal. The prices were comparable to similar sushi places I have been to. A truly good restaurant is consistent all the time and every time. My mid-week visit found the food to be sub-par. The salmon did not taste fresh and the tuna had a slight odor to it. I usually come on Friday night or thru the weekend. I find that this is no excuse! You got me used to having great tasting food and that's what I come back for.
