Ive been in the restaurant 6-10 times since they opened. It has progressively gone down hill as far as cleanliness, food, and wait staff. The tables and menus are filthy, and the whole place in general has a bad smell. The waitstaff are bussing tables with dirty dishes then without washing their hands are picking up food from the window to serve. Last time there I got a bonus black hair on top of my sushi. Nobody ties their hair back or wear hairnets. Disgusting. The food used to be decent but the quality is just no longer there. I have been coming here ever since this place opened. They have always been kind, welcoming and accommodating. Recently I learned my dog has terminal cancer and we don't have much longer left with him. The vet told us to feed him whatever he'll eat, and since sushi is my favorite I decided we'll let him try that. We left a note in the order while ordering online, letting them know a couple of the rolls were for our pup, not really expecting much but decided it was worth a shot to let them know. Not only did they comp those two rolls off of our bill, they also gave us their condolences for the bad news, and drew sweet little pictures on the boxes, indicating which are for us and which are for our baby. Ordered a lobster roll, spicy california, added scallions and cream cheese, fried avocado with spicy crab only, veggie tempura app, spicy chicken, spicy crab salad and kimchi. $52.16. The veggie tempura is super greasy, not nice. The crab salad is just a bit of spicy Krab on a bed of cucumber, not a lot of crab salad. The kimchi is still on the core, needed a knife to cut it off the core. Was given a knife and it was caked on and dirty. Gross. Kimchi tastes alright. The spicy chicken is okay. The miso soup was fine. The lobster roll and spicy california were both decent. They charged us $2 for the small strip of cream cheese, geez. The fried avocado roll was so-so, nothing special. My GF and I stopped in to grab a bite, we been to the restaurant many times in the past and have had great service and food.... But something has happened since our last visit which.... Makes me Wuri... As for my GF she said the Sushi was GREAT as always.... But this is where it gets rocky... She said the Chicken Pho was not flavorful and the noodles were cut up not whole as traditional Pho is served. As for myself I always enjoy the Bibibop at this location, but today unfortunately my bowl was sad.... Not enough food and grizzly/fatty meat I took down several times on my flavor adventure. The soup and salad were nicely done and flavorful As always no drinks other than water and tea Our waiter was nice but seemed to forget that people do get thirsty during meals and left us high and dry... We have walked by this Japanese Sushi bar many times. My wife is not a fan of Sushi or Japanese food. Let's say if the food isn't a burger forget it. Today I was by myself at Lunch time. Great time for me to check the food. When I walked in the restaurants it was like stepping into Sushi Bar in Japan. Looking at the menu I was torn between the Fried Spicy Beef noodles or Chicken Udon. I have a good friend who has a YouTube channel. Tokyo Model detective, Darren is always showing off the great Udon noodles. Okay the Chicken Udon was perfect. The noodle are freshly made, the broth was perfect. The veggies where freshly cut. Finally got to sit down and eat here after many many carry out orders! I went at about 645 on a Friday and this place was packed. Every table seated and multiple carry out orders being picked up. My friend and I waited about 15-20 minutes before we were seated as there was 3 groups ahead of us. My friend and I each ordered two rolls and our order was taken fairly quickly once we were ready. However, they took forever to bring the soup and salad, that not even 3 minutes after we got the soup/salad our rolls were being placed on the table. Tried the dynamite roll this time and was so impressed. Fairly spicy but phenomenal taste and they really pack on the spicy crab mix on top. I also got the shrimp tempura which is my go to and common roll. Can't complain! My friend got the Philadelphia roll, again fairly basic roll, hard to mess up. She also got the tornado roll which was pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of rolls with raw fish on top but they had the salmon on top sliced fairly thin so it was enjoyable! having a phenomenal sushi place In Chesterfield is so welcomed and I love that I don't have to travel far to get sushi. Who says you can't get good sushi in Chesterfield? Well, I did. For years. All that changed when I journeyed to Wuri Sushi on Gratiot just south of 23 Mile Rd. Since discovering this sushi venue I've come about 4-6 times, bringing dates and also for business dinners. Wuri Sushi can accommodate both. Every time I go I order in access of $125 dollars (easily), because there is a wide variety of rolls to choose from. I've not had a bad meal to date. On one of my visits (yes, I keep notes until I compose my review) Alec was young, but hardworking. He kept the refills on my Coke coming frequently enough, and also brought over a pitcher of water upon my request, because I drink a LITERAL FUCK TON of water whenever I dine out. On my 4th visit the new waitress was okay, but when you spend $200 on sushi I DO accept more attention from the server(s), which we didn't receive. This is the only reason Wuri Sushi didn't get a perfect star score. Even if the trainee/new waitress missed coming by more I expected one of the other servers to assist her, particularly when they were fairly slow at the time. Now, some of my suggestions to order are: 1. The Octopus Sashimi-style (cooked); 2. The Dynamite Tempura Roll; 3. Godzilla Tempura Roll; 4. Spicy California Roll; 5. The Chesterfield Roll; 6. The Fat Man Roll (probably my fav, if only for the name alone); 7. The Tornado Roll; 8. Steamed Gyoza; 9. Bulgogi; 10. Bibimbap with Beef; 11. Fried Spicy Beef Noodles; and, 12. Fried Rice (pay extra to get Beef, Shrimp & Chicken). If I wanted to travel for sushi I MAY go somewhere else, but as long as Wuri Sushi keeps up the level of quality that I've received to date I'll continue coming to this spot, which is 10 minutes or less from my crib. read more

I wanted to get my ailing wife out of the house for a nice lunch in the park. I ran in and picked up our $38 lunch. I gave them a nice tip as I always do. Found a nice picnic table at the park, and when I took out our food, I realize we didn't have any utensils to eat with. There's always chopsticks in the bag which is part of the novelty of eating there. So here we are in the middle of a park restrooms are still closed for the winter and having to eat with our fingers. I might have taken it a little more lightly if my wife wasn't immune compromised. When I called that evening, somebody that claimed to be the manager, (who would not give me their name) Said I should've read the new sign they put up. Sorry I was in a hurry and had no idea about this new cost saving policy. Maybe if they weren't so busy dancing to the music they could've asked me if I needed plasticware or chopsticks. I don't remember getting a carry out from any other restaurant that didn't asked me if I needed plasticware. The part that rubbed me the wrong way was the attitude of the manager. I just wanted to let them know they should ask people if they need plasticware or chopsticks. They had a couldn't care less attitude about it. I decided to eat light, and I was happy that this place was close by. I decided to open with the appetizer sashimi: that's where the chef picks what kinds you get. For $6.95, I got two pieces each of yellowtail, tuna, and salmon. Or, I should say, they're bricks of fish. That's not an insult: I swear there's probably half a pound of fish here. And, it's perfect. I also got a bowl of duck pho. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the bowl is about the size of my head. And, I have a big head. There was a generous amount of duck here, and it was good quality, although there was some skin in the bowl, too. But, most importantly, the broth was hearty and warming. This compares favorably with the phenomenal Vietnamese restaurants in Madison Heights. After I was finished with it, it looked like I've barely had any of it. This will feed my family for the next three days. Another thing that's remarkable about this place is how quick the service was. After placing my order, I took a quick stop in the restroom, and came back and the sashimi was there. After about two minutes, the pho was delivered. The place wasn't busy, but how many times have you been to places that weren't busy, and it still took forever to get your food? The menu is enormous. There's a massive selection of sushi and sashimi here, and I intend to come back and work my way through it, even if I have to come back several times. read more

And they put the jalapenos in it too instead of to the side so the broth was too spicy for my daughter. And the broth was bleh. You can only taste the spiciness not a lot of flavor Chicken teriyaki - not enough chicken. It was okay Our order came with miso soup and small salad.
