The Jedi, shrimp tempura, rainbow, and Cajun volcano

First time at Yorokobi after hearing many people say it's very good - and I have to agree. Simple, small place, which is how sushi should be. Full bar; I stuck with Sapporo. We started off with veggie tempura then split 4 rolls. The shrimp tempura and rainbow rolls were pretty standard for a sushi restaurant. However we really liked the Cajun volcano and The Jedi. I'm already looking forward to going again.

Never knew there was a sushi place in downtown Romeo but was pleasantly surprised. Went on a second date here and it was a great time! There's a cute patio area outside to sit and enjoy your food, tables inside and a bar area. Our server was very attentive, made some great suggestions, and the rolls are really good! We went the tempura vegetables, spicy tuna roll, Michigan roll and Snow roll. Everything was quality and tasted fresh. The prices were good, and he was a relaxing atmosphere. Great hem here in Romeo!

Small town sushi joint in the charming little town of Romeo, Michigan. Strolling down Main St. on a crisp Fall evening and stumbled upon a small sushi restaurant. Simple, straightforward and very affordable sushi. It's not your big city fancy sushi with caviar and quail eggs but it's tasty, and the special rolls are imaginative. Complimentary Miso soup!

Fried Rice

I would definitely give this a 5 star review because the food is absolutely delicious BUT I was a bit disappointed with the prices and quantity of food that you get when you carry out. I ordered some friend rice and the carry out boxes were not even halfway full. I found it overpriced!

What a cute place .... staff was very friendly and food was good. You will need to call ahead if your planning a large group because it's a very small restaurant. Full bar and carry out is an option. Server was very sweet and attentive. Wide variety on the menu and a special board is hanging on the wall. A nice touch to receive a complimentary Miso soup. A party of three and we started off with the Coconut Shrimp which was 3 coconut panko tiger shrimp served with mixed veggies and sweet chili sauce. The mix veggies were tempura. Edamame steamed soybeans topped with salt which were a little over steamed. Next was the House Ginger Salad which included sesame, cucumber, carrot and house made ginger dressing. The ginger dressing was perfect amount and great f Sea King which was a soft shell crab mix, bbq eel, tuna, crunchies, sweet sauce Spicy Tuna - tuna, cucumber California roll with crab, cucumber, avocado, sesame seeds Two other items however I forget ... my apologies. The sushi was fresh and delicious and nicely priced. Mochi Ice Cream Japanese style ice cream green tea, mango ,strawberry were the only flavors the had available this evening. The presentation on the plate was sweet. Next time we will try the other flavors

Small space but great vibe. I ordered to-go. Everyone was friendly. Parking in front on side or across the street. So many call in orders were coming in, it took me 10min just to pay for my food. I ordered veggie tempura and 2 avocado salads. Everything was fresh and tasty. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of the veggie tempura because I ate it. Lol! Try dipping it in sriracha

This is a small but quaint restaurant. I live in Romeo and have only gone there a few times but every time I go the food is good and the service is great. This place was featured in a PBS television special that explained all of the special training the owner went through. We got 3 rolls between 2 of us and it was the perfect amount of food. They had a daily special called the Nemo that was delicious with several different types of fish that I can't totally remember now! We also got the Cajun one and that was probably our favorite. The third one was the El Diablo and they warn you that it's very spicy hot and it is - but also very delicious!

Came here with a few friends to grab a bite to eat since there's not much to do in Almont. I normally don't travel out this way but one of my friends moved here and unfortunately didn't get much options on food in their city. So we came down to Richmond to get some food and I looked up a few places to try and they were in the mood for sushi. I really don't eat sushi so my judgment will be biased of course. I won't with the crab Ragu and fried rice since it was something I can eat. My friend see the sushi was really good here and they really enjoyed the restaurant itself. Based on my experience the staff was very friendly and the building was very clean and kinda hipsterish. This is normally not a place I would go to but I would recommend for others to try. To anyone who likes sushi and a small town feel Richmond is definitely the place to go.

This is nuts. The BEST food I've had in a very long time. Their Bento Box for lunch is affordable and absolutely delicious!

We came here for a quick lunch and we're not disappointed!…read more We ordered miso soup (it was ok...standard miso soup). The house salads were incredibly crisp and dressing was flavorful. We ordered three rolls: Scorpio roll Orion roll Alaskan roll These were BIG rolls. We liked all three but my fave was...not sure, it was whichever I was eating a piece of at the time. We will definitely be coming back!

I appreciated the picture book menu that spelled things out. Given I'm a Taurus I had to get the Taurus roll. (They have a roll for every star sign). The Taurus was a tempura roll with all the trimmings. And a Shrimp California roll to balance things out. Had some tea - it was regular as opposed to green. And then the miso soup. The soup was standard fare. The rolls came quickly; by then I was the only guest. Both were quite good but the Shrimp California was a real surprise. You can tell when you get quality ingredients served closed to room temp and the rice itself was really great. Service throughout was quick, quiet and kind. 4.5. This maybe my new go to. It seems less expensive than our other favorite and given it's also less busy it might be the better overall choice. I just hope they get more patrons than the night I was there.

Walking in, it has a very hip feel to it. Not a traditional menu of what I'm used to for sushi. The menus on the wall and prices seemed reasonable. Very limited selection. They also sell ramen here, but the kind that come in the buckets that I see at the grocery store? Weird, but ok. Anyway, I went with a sushi roll that was about $14, I can't remember which one. I also sprung for some Nigiri because I like it, and got a can of Dr. Pepper that I didn't really want or need, but hey, when you're hungry you do dumb things, right? Anyway, my bill was a whopping $25.88. OUCH. I was kind of surprised but considering my options and not wanting to leave the shopping complex, I paid for it anyway, sticker shock and all. There were two sushi chefs behind the counter and they threw in an extra Nigiri for me. It was delicious! Seatings limited here but there are tables and a TV with what I think was Kpop on it playing some cute music with videos. Anyway, the food itself was great, and I really did have a good meal here, just pricier than I thought. They do serve water here but I wish they had a bigger menu to choose from.

Our favorite sushi place by far!! Highly recommend!…read moreAwesome service!! Super fast! Shrimp shumai And REM ROLL are great. Very nice people!

I've been wanting to try this spot for a while, so I ordered a little bit of everything: miso soup,…read moreTako Su, gyoza, shumai, sashimi appetizer, beef bibimbap, and two sushi rolls -- the S n T and White Tiger Roll. The miso soup came out first and was pretty standard. The Tako Su had large slices of octopus with plenty of cucumbers. It was decent, nothing standout. The gyoza was actually an accidental order because I thought I had ordered shumai. Looking back, I probably should've realized something was off when the server asked if I wanted them steamed or grilled. Ironically, they ended up being one of the better items. I took them home and even cold later on, they were still good. The sashimi appetizer had a nice variety and was probably one of the stronger dishes of the night. Unfortunately, the shumai completely missed the mark. It was very wet -- you can even see it in the photo -- and just not how shumai is supposed to be prepared. Personally, I think Asahi Sushi does this dish far better, including the sauce. The beef bibimbap was also disappointing for me. I love bibimbap served in a scorching hot stone bowl where the rice crisps up and caramelizes at the bottom. This lacked all of that. In my opinion, both Asahi Sushi and Sumo Sushi do bibimbap significantly better. If that's what you're craving, this wouldn't be my recommendation. As for the sushi rolls -- the S n T and White Tiger Roll -- they were just bland. Not terrible, not inedible, but very forgettable. Overall, my experience was okay, but nothing about it stood out enough to make me want to return. The servers were pleasant, but there were no recommendations or guidance offered, and the food never really moved beyond average. I ended up giving this place 2 stars for three main reasons: 1. The servers lacked recommendations or menu guidance. 2. The food overall was bland. 3. There are significantly better sushi options nearby. If you're looking for exceptional sushi, udon, and bibimbap, I'd personally recommend Asahi Sushi instead. It's only about 12 minutes away and, in my opinion, absolutely worth the drive for the quality, presentation, service, and overall experience.
