Ordered a delivery thru the Yelp app. Pork fried rice for the wife and General Tso's chicken for me. Vietnamese spring rolls for us. First, the bad - the spring rolls were very disappointing. Basically a couple of shrimp and a lot of lettuce wrapped in the rice paper wrap. BORING! The good- despite the initial disappointment in the rolls...both the entrees were excellent. The rice was very flavorful and had a lot of pork. The General Tso's chicken was even better. The chicken had been freshly fried before the saucing and it was amazing. I'll definitely order it again. Went here for lunch with the colleague and the place was empty. The staff was friendly considering no one else was there. We ordered off the lunch menu and the food came fairly quietly and hot. I ordered the fried rice and immediately noticed it wasn't PF Chang or Pei Wei quality. The rice was oily and bland for my taste. However, our server was friendly and engaging which I like. I mean...I guess it's pretty good. I did take out one day and ordered the shrimp teriyaki. The rice it came with was drowned in the sauce and made the rice mushy. If I would have known they were going to put the rice with the dish I would have requested it on the side. My shrimp were really good though and fresh. The food was ready in a flash, and my order of cashew chicken couldn't have been better: easy on the garlic sauce, the vegetables were wonderfully crunchy, the chicken and the veggies were in large pieces. The string beans were soggy; the pineapple shrimp was just mediocre, the walnut shrimp had too heavy a batter, and the hot garlic beef was unremarkable. When you order 4 dishes in one visit, you'd think you could find a favorite? Not this time. The only positive I could share is that they are willing to customize their dishes, but to be honest, I'd rather order at Panacean across the street. I have been a customer of this amazing restaurant since 2001. And when they changed owners in 2006, it just got better and better. My favorite dishes are their wonton soup, the chicken with mushrooms and my latest favorite is their beef lo mein!!!!! I cannot get enough of the beef lo mein ;) The entire staff is amazing! We ordered from this place on ubber eats and really enjoyed it. Really good food for the price. So we decided to come in today. The woman out front was very rude to us from the start. Blatantly ignoring us to the point that another patron asked her questions on our behalf. AND SHE ANSWERED. The food is amazing but it really sucked to be treated that way. She litterally kicked my daughter and I out of some seats claiming that it was busy and she needed our seating. There was no one else there. We ordered to go and she could've directed us to the place she wanted us to wait. She did not. We paid like everyone else and had she treated us with respect instead of scowl at us... we'd have tipped. It was very degrading experience for Chinese food. Like other people felt bad for us and gave us sympathy stairs and said they felt it too. We thought this would be our new spot but after this we'll take our business elsewhere. I'll start with the positives, the food was extremely hot upon delivery, and the lo mein was pretty good. The egg rolls, in my opinion, were ok at best, but definitely not worth almost 2 dollars each. The worst part of the meal, and the main reason I'm giving them 2 stars, was the pad Thai. This is an entree that cost 13.50 for the vegetable pad Thai, and it literally tasted like they had tossed the noodles in ketchup. I've had a lot of different pad Thai, it's one of my favorite dishes, and this is by far the blandest and most disappointing ones I've ever had. I find it borderline insulting to charge 13.50 for noodles, vegetables, ketchup, and what appears to be Ritz crackers crumbled over the top. If you must order from here, definitely stay away from the pad Thai. read more
