Birthday dinner at Dumpling Queen was such a great experience! We celebrated with a group of girls and since they're BYOB right now everyone brought a bottle of wine which made it even more fun. We started with the green beans (10/10!), crispy tofu (SO good), a light and refreshing cucumber salad (perfect palate cleanser) and beef pancakes (not everyone's favorite but I really enjoyed them). Then we shared an assortment of dumplings. Every single one was delicious and the beef noodles which was an easy 10/10. By dessert I was in a full-on food coma but the lava bao was absolutely worth saving room for. The owner was incredibly sweet and even shared the story behind the restaurant, which made the meal feel extra special. Highly recommend this spot. Went in on a Tuesday evening for dinner with the family and the place was buzzing! The servers were very attentive, the wait was short (around 10 minutes for our party of 3), and the ambiance was lively but not overwhelming. Susu, our server, kindly explained the most popular dishes and even gave some of her personal recommendations. Service was fast and the food was fresh and hot. Only notes I would make are the ratio of pork to beef or chicken dishes seemed skewed (perhaps that was the genre of cuisine) and there were not any vegetable options for kids (or I just missed it). Any new restaurant in Flower Mound is worth a try, especially any Asian option! We stopped in and were greeted right away. We had a short wait and were shown to a table and the service throughout our meal was very attentive. The restaurant is well appointed and has more seating than one might expect. We had the Chicken/Corn Potstickers, Beef Pancake Roll, Thumb Buns, and Orange Chicken. We tried to get the cold noodles with beef but were told they were out of it. The dumplings were tasty but had very little corn while the Thumb Buns were tasty all around. The Beef Roll was good (Thank you for not deep frying the pancake!) but could have used more green onion and Hoisin. The Orange Chicken was the biggest disappointment. We asked for it extra spicy and it was not spicy whatsoever and was very sweet. The chicken pieces were large and well cooked but the sweetness of the dish was disappointing. Overall everything was just above average overall and we were honestly hoping for more. We will give them a bit more time before a return and see if they can work out some of the opening kinks. read more

Yuck! Everything was awful from start to finish. Most of the servers don't speak English nor can they read Mandarin off the menu. Ours called over a kid to translate. They were sold out of ribs an hour after opening. No clue about drinks. It took three tries to get it right. I ordered hot & sour soup at the same time and got a clumpy mess. The orange chicken had a good flavor and they use good quality chicken but the pieces were cut too but g, the broccoli is served cold, and the rice is mushy. My wife got Lo Mein which was broken into little bits and had very few veggies in it. There are no condiments on the tables and the noodles could have used some soy sauce or hot oil. The other dish was chicken with huge pieces of broccoli which were mushy for the florets and raw on the stems. We ordered scallion pancakes which came out last and were still raw. I was charged for a second soda. They cash you out at the table with a single POS device. They'll be gone in a year if they don't improve everything read more

Lovely location. Lovely service...team effort, and delicious food!! The Singapore Fried Rice Noodles were so unique! Perfect amount of curry and all other goodness. The honeycomb potstickers were also a taste sensation and will be on a repeat order for sure. We did order appetizers and our entrée all at the same time and things came out a little awkward, but it really didn't matter. If you care about sequence, only order your appetizers and then wait to order your entrée. there's so many different specialties prepared at this restaurant that whoever is the busiest will take the longest to come out and that's gonna be the chef who oversees soup dumplings, worth the short wait. We just tried this new restaurant last weekend. Needless to say the dumplings were superb. We particularly enjoyed their spicy wonton ones. Speaking of spicy, this is the first Asian restaurant that I've eaten at in the Metroplex who actually made a dish "extra hot and spicy" when asked. I got their Ma Po Tofu and asked for it to be prepared that way and they didn't disappoint. Friendly service. Be prepared for a small delay when ordering dumplings as each dish is individually made to order. Will go back for sure. The place was not overcrowded like the previous restaurant. read more

I've been so excited to try this place out and their dumplings didn't disappoint other than one unfortunate mishap. All the dumplings are very flavorful and almost didn't need any sauce as all. The wrapper is thin yet not too fragile. The Xiao long bao has great amount of soup on the inside. The only that I'm quite disappointed about is that I received the wrong Xiao long bao order. As seen on my received and an order ticket left in the Xiao long bao container, I ordered the crab Xiao long bao but the regular one was delivered... I believe it giving a second, or third, chances. We didn't realize we came for their soft opening, they officially open in a few days, but the food was delicious! We started eating before I could take a pic, but the rainbow dumplings were delicious, especially the seafood one! Everyone was impressed by their meal - chicken pad Thai, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken lo mein. The menu is full of options for all taste buds. They are still working out the operational and timing of things, but the owners were so nice and apologetic as things did take a little longer. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Unfortunately they have some kinks to work out. The evening started with an overwhelmed front desk gentleman confusing patrons and walk in pick up orders. Once seated, our very kind Asian waiter took our order by pointing at the menu and entering it in his tablet. The food was delivered and was tasty (we got the rainbow dumplings and chicken lettuce wraps which did have a bit of bone in the meat but had a good flavor). The problem came when we wanted to sample the soup dumpling. A different lady "took" our order but didn't enter it, and 15, 30, 45 minutes later still no food even after flagging down the lady and our original waiter and trying to contact the host. They said their POS system went down, and other unhappy patrons were leaving. Not sure if we'll try it again or not. Lots of children there as well with big messes on the floor. It may not cater to American tastes like most of the quick American style Chinese fast food you see in this area, so some reviewers need to understand that or learn about the different flavors they are not used to. Overall food was pretty good and with something like this being so close to home, this is getting a 5 star. No need to travel to Carrollton or Plano for actual Chinese food now. read more

Decided to do a take-out order on a Saturday around 1pm because of my schedule: ordered hot and sour soup, rainbow steam dumplings (2 of each kind) and chicken lo mein. Soup was great! Dumplings were ok. Vegetable was tasteless and mushy but the others were fine. My favorite was pork. Lo Mein was very salty and nothing to write home about. The salt level made it difficult to eat. In general, food was average. Service was terrible. Waited long time to get food for take out however people inside the restaurant got food fairly quickly. Disappointing experience tonight. I arrived at 8:38 PM, and the posted closing time is 9:00 PM. Unfortunately, I was told they were already closed and couldn't serve me, even though there were still more than 20 minutes before closing. I completely understand that staff need time to clean up and close for the night, but if the kitchen or last orders end before the posted closing time, that should be clearly communicated. Customers rely on the posted hours when deciding whether to stop by. I made the trip expecting to be served and left disappointed. I hope the restaurant updates its hours or clearly posts a "last seating" or "last order" time to help avoid the same experience for others. read more

Was very excited this place was near us. Unfortunately as soon as we walked in you can tell the staff is very unorganized. We wanted to order a mango lemonade and was told it was unavailable because it was not ready. (We came peak dinner rush around 5:30.) When we ordered we order all together ( appetizers and entrees). Ordering the veggie spring rolls, xiao long soup dumplings, and shrimp lo mein. Unfortunately not much variety on fillings for your dumplings either. We wanted to also order the pan fried dumplings and were told they were unavailable as well. While waiting for our food a rush of people came in and overhearing there was no set order of who all came in. 3 different people stood at the hostess stand and no one could give a clear answer of wait times or if a waiting list had started. Long story short you could feel the frustration from the incoming customers and the stress from the staff. It started to rush the experience of eating in. Our food came out and the lo mein was the best. The spring rolls were very mushy on the inside and the soup dumplings had an awful aftertaste and the dumpling sauce that was provided tasted of straight alcohol. Overall the inside of the restaurant even though it is new was very messy on the inside and seemed a bit chaotic. The food was alright but nothing to write home about and sadly we probably won't be coming back. read more

Just ate here with my aunt. The chicken was hard as a rock, the "fried rice" was infact not fried rice but white rice with soy sauce poured on it. Our server showed up one time and we had to yell across an empty restaurant to get her attention after trying to flag her down for 5 minutes so we could get boxes and pay. They had several people come over to ask how the food was and the second we tried to say anything they would say "ok thank you" and walk away without us even being able to get a word out. We had to ask to pay 3 times and she kept saying oh ok and walking away. The food is far over priced for the quality and the service was awful. It was an argument to even be able to see the bill. 10/10 would never recommend. read more
