    Stir-Fried Dried Bamboo Shoots
    Kathy M.

I can't be the only one that thinks their food isn't good right..... We ordered 4 items, popcorn chicken, stir fry bamboo shoots, their specialities sour and spicy fish, and the sweet and sour fried fish Popcorn chicken was mid Stir fry bamboo shoots was okay, it was very bland....i feel like this dish shouldn't be bland, should goes very good with rice, but no rice was needed Same thing with the sour spicy fish dish, it was also very bland....the frozen packages I have at home taste better than this. The sour cabbage in the dish has a more sweet taste than sour. The only good thing about the dish was the fish was actually fresh. The fish itself is good, the flavor is not. Sweet and sour fried fish wasn't good neither. It's also on a sweeter side, and I think they use garlic in their sauce, they didn't cook it long enough and I tasted raw garlic, not pleasant Overall, I was pretty disappointed and probably wouldn't give it another try..

Super impressed by the wide variety of fish options here. The fried monkfish is cooked deliciously. Really enjoyed the casual ambience inside as well. Despite dining in during weekend lunch time, inside felt very relaxed and calm. Great seasoning too. From shrimp to chicken to crab, there's definitely options for every eater.

My friends and I wanted to try Wu's fish house that is located at Festival Plaza by Hmart. The staff: The staff here are friendly, welcoming, and are knowledgeable of the menu items. One of the staff members came over and recommended the Wuva Hibachi Bowl. Fried Green Beans: Cooked to perfection and has just the right amount of flavoring. My group definitely enjoyed this dish, and we treated it like an appetizer. Crispy Salted Fried Chicken: This basically popcorn chicken and it had the right amount of flavoring even without the sauce that was given on the side. Tropical Passion Kumquat: This drink tasted like mango with the lemon taste. This is my new favorite drink. Lime Yakult: My friend said this drink was absolutely delicious, and he would order it again. Mango Pomelo Delight: My brother said this drink is his favorite since he tried this last time. Pickled cabbage fish soup with black cod: The spice level that we ordered for this soup was the perfect choice. The fish was delicious and the soup had a hint of spice. Everything that was in this dish was just perfect and I highly recommend ordering this soup. Wuva Hibachi Mahi Mahi Bowl: This is one of the most unique dishes that they have on the menu. This had noodles, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, fish, peppers, shrimp. When you pour the ingredients onto the noodles it gives it a unique look. Once you mix it all together it gives you a delicious taste that you just want to keep eating more of it. This item definitely hit the spot, and everyone should at least try this dish at least once. Overall: When my friends and I get together again, we will definitely stop by here again. There are other Wuva Hibachi Bowl options that we would like to taste. The fish soup and Hibachi bowl is the perfect combo for everyone.

Mapo Spicy Tofu (With Chicken & Sichuan Pepper & Numbing Flavor)

3.5 stars Love the comfy white spacious booths and the picture menu on individual iPads for easy ordering. Mapo tofu was delicious and the perfect amount of spice and not too much ma la (numbing). The steamed halibut we ordered was tender and fresh. The Dan Dan noodles were a bit mediocre and plain. I think the menu is missing some options though and have a lot of pricey fish soups ($50+) that I don't feel like I could order with only two people. So go with 4 people so you can order their specialties.

    Steamed Egg With Scallops

I stopped in late on a Thursday evening for the first time. The restaurant was quite empty, but considering the rain and the time it made sense. The service was good. She came over made a couple of recommendations gave us an ice bucket for our wine and was attentive when needed. I ordered the steamed eggs with scallops. We also got a side of the cucumbers and garlic sauce and the hibachi chicken. The cucumbers are very good very refreshing and light very flavorful sauce that they were in. I loved it. We actually ordered a second order because we wanted more. My primary focus was the steamed eggs and scallops, which was absolutely delightful. It was perfectly silky with a flavorful broth and a couple of baby scallops on top. My only thing would be I wish that the menu offered other options for the steamed eggs, for example, if I want shrimp instead of scallops because I know that the scallops raise the price and the scallops were very small and underwhelming. I would've been happy with just the steamed eggs and that broth. So delicious. the chicken was good; I thought the sauce was a little bit sweeter than I would normally like so I I didn't really eat that and primarily ate the steamed eggs. Otherwise, the food was very fresh. Everything came out piping hot so we actually had to wait before we could get into anything that was hot, but thankfully, we had the cucumbers to get us started I would absolutely return to try other dishes. Can't wait to review those.

What here on a weekday evening, the interior is cute and clean. The service was quick you order on an iPad and they bring the food out to you. We got the squirrel fish, which was perfectly crispy and had a nice tangy sauce. We also got the fish and chips, which were also crispy and fresh. The green beans were fried perfectly and so savory. Would definitely come back.

This restaurant is located right next to crab house! I'm not sure if they are by the same owner, but definitely let the waiter in the front know which one you want to dine at. The night we went, there was only one waitress, so service was bit on the slower side. The view from the windows were nice - this spot is on the 2nd floor of one of the Festival plaza buildings. - Dan Dan noodles, 3/5: bouncy noodles with good chew, but flavor was on the sweeter side, and not very saucy or tasty - Pickled Fish, 4/5: I've been to a couple of fish dish places and this one has good sour pickled flavors, with fresh fish.. but it was on the pricier side - Spiced Beef, 4.5/5: this one was pretty good! The hot oil was flavorful and chewy pieces of beef I don't know if I would come back here specifically for the fish, but the spiced beef is really nice.

Came here for graduation celebration (10people) . The service was excellent! Our waiter really took his time to explain the menu and accommodated the needs. He spoke Cantonese so it was great for him to communicate with elders on my table. It's very spacious and relaxing ambience for good food. We had our little section since we had a big group. We ordered black cod (spicy level 2) and Bronzino (not spicy). The black cod was definitely a hit. They all love the spicy taste. Fish was tender. Highly recommend. Karage and baos (chicken?) were very good too. They also had beverages but we didn't try. Overall great place for big groups. Food is fresh and flavorful.

The best FISH IN SPICY AND SOUR SOUP in tri-state area! Must order the black cod. Small is good for 2 people. Monday they have 25 dollars per person all you can eat shrimp. Have 6 kinds of dishes to choose from. The flavor is a little too Americanized I think. Might be good for kids though. I love their FISH IN SPICY AND SOUR SOUP!

Wow wow wow. I am not a fish lover but their fish soup special absolutely blew me away with the balance of flavors. Loved the dan dan noodles and taro appetizer as well. Do not miss out on this spot even though it's hidden on the 2nd floor of this big Asian food complex!

Black cod spicy and sour fish soup

Out of all the dishes we tried, we only really liked the fish in spicy/sour soup (the main option on the menu). We got the black cod, which was a great size to share for 3-4 people. It was flavorful and tender and so delicious! The plate of mushroom and bok choy was nothing special, but it was nice to have vegetables with our meal. The other 2 dishes fell short. The cold jellyfish app was cut into thin strips and had more radish than jellyfish. The Atlantic cod fish noodle soup was bland, and the precooked noodles had all congealed together. If you come here, I highly recommend sticking with the main fish dish. It also came with extra soup in a cute cat pot!

Wu's Fish House in Edison, NJ. Have you ever had Wu's Fish in Spicy and Sour Soup? It was my first time too! They creatively select thirteen different types of fish, including tender river fish commonly found in Eastern cuisine and sea fish often enjoyed in Western cuisine. If you're a shrimp lover, you absolutely have to check out Wu's Fish House, especially on Mondays when they offer the Ultimate Endless Shrimp for just $25! Everything is made fresh to order, and the quality is outstanding. I was blown away by how generous the portions were - usually, with "unlimited" specials, they skimp on the servings, but not here! There are six delicious options to choose from: braised shrimp with vermicelli, pineapple sweet and sour shrimp, coconut shrimp, shrimp Alfredo linguini, and shrimp Yangchow fried rice. A tip: I highly recommend ordering the braised shrimp with vermicelli and the shrimp Yangchow fried rice last. They come in generous portions, and you want to pace yourself to get the most out of your dining experience. Also, the cast iron skillet the braised shrimp comes in is hot, so be cautious to avoid burns! The flavor is fantastic - good spice, balanced perfectly across each dish. The braised shrimp with vermicelli was a favorite of mine, but the pineapple shrimp definitely stood out as a close second. It's clear Wu's doesn't skimp on quality or portion size. The dining time is capped at two hours, but that's more than enough to enjoy a feast, especially when you're coming with an empty stomach. The only catch? If you don't finish your food and it weighs over a pound, you'll be charged the regular menu price for the leftovers, but honestly, with the portion sizes, it's easy to get your money's worth. I left Wu's Fish House feeling satisfied and full, and it was definitely well worth the value. This is one of those specials you get while you can - don't miss out!

Our party was situated downstairs at a nice round table. This really helped us share the seafood tower and pass clams around. Our group ordered the small seafood tower, and it was everything I could have dreamed of. It had a little bit of everything. The presentation was flawless. I am still in awe of the lobster. Dinner was also very good. Just about everyone ordered something different, and we left pretty happy. The only issue was the music. I don't know if this is the case for the entire restaurant, but the downstairs had bouncy ukulele covers for the entirety of our time there. It was also a bit too loud. I felt like I had to get up to hear someone sitting a few people away from me, or speak too loud to for shared space because there's a bouncy ukulele covers of Without You by The Kid LAROI. (No, that's not an embellishment. That actually played.) All in all, we had a great time, great food, in a beautiful space. Natalie was a very attentive service. But please, maybe some different music?

I visited Steakhouse 85 for the first time on Thursday, March 19th. We all know the food is fantastic, but what impressed me even more was the employees. When I walked in, I was greeted by the hostess, who had a big smile and bright eyes. She showed us to our table swiftly, and during our time there, her smile and warm welcome continued as she greeted other incoming diners. Our waiter appeared quickly with the first question would you like something to drink, water, etc. After the initial greeting, and now ready to take our order, he excitedly told us he had the pleasure of tasting most of the items he suggested. His excitement about the food he had the "pleasure of tasting" (his words) was apparent. Also, I had the pleasure of speaking to Monica, a manager at Steakhouse 85. She was kind, thoughtful, insightful, and well spoken. I could easily see why she holds that position and could have talked to her as I would a good friend. How a great manager like Monica gets those around them to react positively is by example; in other words, it's the ripple effect. It is easy to see that she is the type of person who, no matter what she does or where she goes in life, success will follow. Also, I want to say thank you to the owner and all the managers because hiring the right employees, from the cooks, busboys, and servers, is not an easy job in itself. The key to success is not just about the food; it's also the employees who add to the establishment's success! Great Job To All Of You! Kindness should never be taken for granted these days! Frances
