Got to go out with a girlfriend and we picked this place to have our rare night out. First of all, they NAILED it with the decor. The ambience is off the charts- every little detail. Normally I don't even really pay attention to this stuff, but as a mom I don't get to venture to these types of places very often anymore. The walls are covered in greenery, and you absolutely feel like this is a tiki bar. Macaws and other tropical things are above you. We of course ordered way too much food bc I was starving. We ordered 2 dishes to start- cucumber salad, and the korean wings. Then...came the holy grail of the pupu platter and that's when we realized it was way too much food! But it was nice to be able to sample everything. I personally liked the cucumber salad and wings more than the pupu platter. It's definitely fusion food and you get a mix of dumplings, cha siu, korean BBQ, walnut shrimp that reminds me of a chinese wedding banquet dish. I recall there were also scallion pancakes - not the flakiest but decent. The only weird thing/turnoff for me was the randomness of having tator tots on the platter. It made me feel like they ran out of something or it was a filler. Either way, it was odd. I think there are better "fillers" you could add in there. The cocktails were awesome. We had 2 each. Excited to find such a unique and trendy spot in Harvard square! Came here for some late night drinks with friends. The interior was quite impressively decorated and it definitely feels like you're being transported to Asian island vibes. We didn't make a reservation so weren't able to try their top floor (tiki bar) and sat in the downstairs (night market) area, which was still nice. Like many have said, the drinks are delicious (great mai Thai), and at only $8.88 very affordable for the area. We tried a few of their baos and they were pretty good but not amazing (kind of soggy), so docking a star there. But otherwise a fun and solid place to hang out and wind down. read more

They really did a good job with decorating the place and making it really feel like a tiki bar, despite the fact that it's in the middle of New England. The first time I came here, we ordered mostly food and some drinks. The food overall is pretty salty, so I wouldn't suggest trying to eat a full meal or ordering anything too heavy. I did enjoy the scallion pancakes and the tater tots, though. The second time I came here, I sat by the bar and only ordered drinks. I love their drink menu! It's so fun and each drink is around $11. I tried a lot on their cocktail menu (oops) and loved the taste of all cocktails I ordered. Although the drinks definitely have more ice than needed, it tasted so good that it was hard for me to complain. And oh man, their Dole Whip was the best way to top off the night. We were probably there for 3 hours and had a lovely conversation with our bartender throughout the night. Wow we ended up in Hawaii or Fiji last night at Wusong Road in Cambridge. Festive ambiance! The food was so much fun and delicious. We had their pork dumplings and spare ribs. Wow! I'm really impressed with this place for the overall experience. I've never been to a tiki bar so I really enjoyed the ambiance. I wish I was hungrier so I could try more things. But what I got was really good! We had the brussel sprouts which were cooked to perfection. The sauce is a little bit sweeter than I'd like but still good. The roll ups (forgot the actual name on the menu) were good though it lacked a bit of flavor inside. I really enjoyed the baos, especially the one with the chicken. I appreciated how cute it was. The cauliflower was great. As a teetotaler I opted for a Manila margarita which I thoroughly enjoyed and was glad they had that as a mocktail option. 3rd time here. Visited after I read Chef Jason Doo's vision for the restaurant and homage to American Chinese food history. Drinks here are always delicious and creative, but I'm also someone who loves tropical fruits (especially passion fruit or guava) in my cocktails. Can't go wrong with any of the dishes. Had the duck tasting the first time I came here and it was so juicy, crispy, and flavorful. Waiter said they've paused the duck for a while, possibly due to it being so hot out. Tonight, we ordered: - scallion pancake with sesame hummus - katsu bao and chipotle char siu bao - tater tots - Korean corn cheese rangoons - crispy basil chicken We were too full to get dessert. From the moment you walk into the spot you're immediately immersed to another place. This place screams escapism. It's legit. Hands down mouthwatering, delicious food. It's been open for quite some time and only across the street from my office, and I kept meaning to make it over there multiple times. Last week I finally had my chance, as we were meeting up with 2 friends and Harvard Square is usually a great central location for folks. Here's what we got for food: Crab rangoon - so full of tasty crab! Very little cream cheese, big on flavor, and truly a delight S&P brussels sprouts - these were so good we ended up adding on a 2nd one Crispy basil chicken - this was one of my least favorites, but it was still good. i think I saw others mention it was not that flavorful, and that is true.. but the level of crispiness of breading and tenderness of chicken were there, which is still good fried chicken in my mind. Jiaozi - these dumplings were tasty, flavorful, good texture. Egg rolls - tasty, nothing special, but not a miss. Gailan & garlic - FAVORITE! We ordered this toward the end and would have gotten more if we were not already hitting They were out of a few things, including coconut ribs and the Spam Musubi which we were really excited about trying, so that means we have to go back soon and grab some. I will mention that there were several things on the menu that were no longer being served (one of their specialty drinks which they only do in the summer months, as well as one menu item that they weren't making any more... I forget which one). I think that the menus should be updated to reflect these changes to avoid confusion - but not a huge issue for us. We will be back! read more

3.5 stars Excited to come here after hearing great things about this place, particularly their drinks. We were able to get a reservation for 7 (recommend booking early for larger parties) and were seated in the upstairs second floor area - overall both floors appeared to be nicely decorated though a little dark and hard to see if not directly under a light. Food seemed to be a more unique twist on American-Chinese. We ended up trying a couple of larger plates and several smaller plates - personal favorites included the corn rangoons, taishan fritters, and the brussel sprouts; for something a little more filling the jian bing could be a good option from the smaller plates. Popcorn chicken always a crowd pleaser (hot honey and kung pao ranch were great), would skip the tater tots though as they were nothing special. Wish we had gotten to try some of their specials, but they were out of the calamari. Sadly, our fried pork dumplings were raw inside. We did also try dessert - I'm a sucker for passionfruit in desserts so we tried the malasadas, however I didn't think that the dipping sauce tasted strongly of passionfruit at all and was mostly just milky. Drinks however were great. We appreciated how the menu showed the relative strength levels of the cocktails. I had the manilla margarita, which was sweet and not too alcoholic-tasting. Location: fantastic, not even a 5ish minute walk from the Harvard T stop and easily distinguishable by the tiki decor outside though the building itself is very narrow Ambiance: fantastic again. Two floors, second floor is more chill while the first is more quiet and intimate (not sure if you can ask the host to be seated in one or the other or if that just depends on the time of day). Chill, if slightly loud music, fake monkeys hanging from the lighting, comfy booths but less comfy wicker chairs Food: honestly everything we got was ok, nothing blew me away. The corn rangoons we got were good but cold, thankfully our server Melissa got us a new order on the fly and comp'd it for us; the new batch's filling was nice and puffy and hot, creamy and corn-y. The halloumi bao was a nice combo of flavors (savory halloumi and sweet, pickled apples + delicious Sriracha aioli) and textures (soft bao with crispy halloumi exterior. The sliders were good but I feel like there was a little too much sambal ketchup on mine so the meat flavor got a little lost. The blue crab rangoons were very creamy but there was only a whisper of crab flavor (though looking at the menu now it says Maryland and Japanese snow crab kani so there's a chance there's actually no actual crab in it if it's literally kani which is the imitation stuff). The scallion pancakes were ok (Siam Ginger in Somerville is my go to for scallion pancakes) and the hummus was a strange combo to me but it kind of worked. The star would be the coconut bread pudding but there was a little too much caramel so it was pretty sweet. I will say the pupu platter for 4 ($88) was a good value even though we shared it over 5 people. Drinks: the 1980s mai tai was good but very strong. The Pina colada mocktail though... one sip brought me back to my childhood when my mom would make sago (tapioca pudding) with coconut milk. Creamy, nostalgic deliciousness in a glass. Zombie: extremely potent and very rummy. Service: the hostesses were very kind and our server Melissa was awesome and attentive. What a fantastic find while visiting Harvard! This is a beautiful tiki bar with two levels. We sat on the second floor for dinner. Presentation was beautiful and obviously the animal baos were the cutest things ever. My fave dish was the hand pulled noodles - so thick! I made the journey from Northeastern University while it was pouring rain and I would say it was well worth it. The place is slightly hidden but when you step inside the ambiance completely changes. The food and drinks are all SO yummy and affordable. The menu is sort of family sharing/ tapas style which is nice because you get to try a little of everything. We got a couple of dishes and drinks and they were all delicious. Some of the highlights were the Manilla margarita and the shrimp spring rolls! This place is super cute and trendy tucked away in the middle of Harvard Square area. It's one of those Asian fusion places with great drinks! So if that's what you're looking for, this is the spot. The decor and atmosphere are just so cool. We had an easy time making reservations a few nights before. I always feel you can't expect toooo much from the food at an Asian fusion place, but overall I would say it was decent. The one thing that was a huge disappointment was the "drunken noodles". I put it in quotations because what we got was not at all drunken noodles. It was basically pad Thai in a cold soup. The noodles were severely undercooked~ they were rock hard, and it was all cold. Thankfully when we told the waitress she quickly replaced it for us and we ended up getting the house fried rice, which was delicious, you really can't go wrong. The other dishes we got however were very good. I recommend the pupu platter especially if you're just in to mainly drink and maybe snack a little. It had a really great variety of things and they were all delicious. They have it in a size for 2 people or 4. I'd recommend this for larger groups and parties given the small sharable plates style. The drinks lean more towards strong than delicious, and the food was very inventive, but not seasoned well. The Pad Dai had very overcooked chicken, the thai basil chicken was flavorless without sauce. The best dish we tried was the tikki tater tots, but even those could've used more punchy flavor. I saw this place all over TikTok (RIP) and it was amazing. Very accessible in Cambridge, right off the main street. The decor was insanely detailed and committed to the theme. So first, I should mention that we walked in and you can't see anything because everything is so freaking dark that it is impossible to see 5 feet in front of you... We were lead to a table and served some of the most food I've ever had... However, when we were ready to cash out, I went to the bathroom while bills were being settled. I came out to find that my 100 bill was not legit. Nor was my two friends, nor was her 5 separate $20 bills. Apparently we were being accused that all our money was counterfeit. When i produced a newer looking bill, it was okay, despite not checking that bill with the same pen that supposedly deemed all our money invalid. I felt persecuted and shamed despite being able to pay my bill.
