just moved into area recently. We have ate there for breakfast many times, always happy with breakfast(weekends only), and not because they have a make your own Bloody Mary bar. Yes, I was nervous trying this place out (will service be as deathly slow as people reported? Will they be able to handle our group? Will the experience be so poor that I have to end my friendship with Matt G for taking us here)... but I am happy to say I walked out having had a great time and a satisfying meal! I love variety, but it took my a while to finally settle on something, and that was even after studying the menu online for 12hrs prior. We started with a few appetizers, and I truly enjoyed them all: gator bites (SO crispy and juicy! Like chicken but maybe better), Ellsworth cheese curds (great light beer batter), smoked frog legs (juicy and flavorful, though a bit salty), and pepper jack stuffed pretzels (I loved the mustard dip). Out of the 50+ burgers, I chose the "Smoke from the West": seasoned & hickory smoked burger with spicy house bbq, a stack of batter fried onions & cheddar, and I added bacon. I was happy with my choice and the fries were decent. The cajun dusting helped elevate them. With a group of 10+, our service was friendly, funny, attentive, and organized. Horrendously slow service The waiter didn't even put our order in for 2 beers to the bartender for 20 minutes and then it was at least another 10 minutes to arrive We had to flag down another waitress to complain Two burgers took 30 minutes to arrive. Previous reviews are way too harsh. This place is really trying to get it together. My boyfriend and I went on a Monday night (Vikings were playing). Wyatt's had all kinds of events going on to draw in the sports crowds and it was fun. But, as with its menu, it was a bit too much. They had football bingo, a chance to win VIP watching seats that included credit for a $25 bar tab, raffles for $1 a pick, and raffle tickets received for each drink purchased. I didn't know who was drawing what!! Gordon Ramsay would definitely advise Wyatt's to reduce its menu selections. It's just too big and there are multiple copies of various menus: regular, HH, appetizers, beer, etc. KISS! (Keep it simple stupid). Narrow in on popular sellers and eliminate the waste. We had apps for 1/2 price during Viking games. We chose steak bites, tots, and lil smokies wrapped in bacon. The only thing that I would order again would be the steak bites because the sauce was tasty. The tots were a mixture of potatoes and wild rice and were shaped like hash browns. Smokies- meh. I think there's potential here and hope that they keep trying. Good beer selections. Simplify the menu and keep the promos going. Is there a potato shortage I'm not aware of? We got like a third of a potato worth of fries on our first refill of 'endless fries', and the first serving was even less. The burger was good, but I feel like it's 1848, and I'm waiting for my ration in the height of the Irish potato famine. I might come back, but next time I'll tell them to start getting a few orders of fries ready for me while the host is seating me. read more

The food is quite overpriced but we were hungry and had already ordered drinks. We wanted the food to speak for itself. Maybe an $18 burger would blow my mind with flavor?? Quite the opposite- the burger bun was soaked with grease and butter from the parm fries and it was falling apart. The patty was so thin it crumbled despite the cheese holding it together. Ok....review two........! We had breakfast today after many dinner visits----WELL WORTH THE ADVENTURE. I had a "simple" Wyatts breakfast---best sausage patty EVER. Hashbrowns and over easy eggs cooked PERFECTLY. My husband enjoyed scratch biscuits n gravy-over the top. If you don't get a pancake.....you'll REGRET it...just do it. The food was ok. But, we won't be going back. Placed our order, ate, and got the bill. They charged us 3.49 for a glass of water X 2. What the..... Asked about the change and because drinks weren't ordered, that's what they do. Not a word was said at the time. read more

I really, really wanted the food for this place to be good. It's in a great neighborhood location. Decided to try it out for Sunday brunch, the kids prices for food are unbelievable. What restaurant can you go to and have all kids menu items be priced less than $4? When we walked in there were 2 employees working and wasn't busy at all. We were sat and ordered our food all in an average food establishment time frame. Our food came out after a table of 6 placed their food order after our table. I ordered the "thick cut" bacon Benedict. Either they forgot the bacon or traditional Jimmy Dean grocery store bacon that you get in the package is why they consider thick cut. I ordered the Minesconsin tots with it as well. Apparently an egg on a bene is medium fried and not poached in the burbs. Also the food was at less than medium temperature. I really wanted my food to be hot. It would have changed this review from 2 stars to 4. The service on the restaurant side is slow. Would I come back? For beers at the bar only. If you can be patient with slow service but want to drink a great selection of beer at a great price come here for Sunday Football. read more

This place literally left a bad taste in our mouths. Everything in our order was burned except the to go containers. The food was completely inedible (but we tried). We decided to try the grilled cheese burger, and we shocked at 2 things. First it was charred black, and second it was the worst grilled cheese we have ever had! The steak bites had a texture of beef jerky, and we did not bother to try the Minnesota Tots because they to were burnt like everything else. This is our second time trying this place.... the first time we walked out after waiting 20 minutes just waiting for a waitress to say Hi, drinks never made it to the table. Today it's been 30 minutes so far we have drinks, blue cheese and ranch dressing.... still waiting on our food.... dang I hope it's the best damn burger I've ever had. Tick tick tick tock... Yeah! Foods here! It's only been 45 minutes. . I wish I could tell you it was worth the wait, but sadly I cannot. The burger was BASIC! No seasoning in the meat and the fries were bland. The Cole slaw got sent back-not good. We also got some buffalo chicken wings- I don't think I'd call it buffalo- it had a smokey taste. And the best thing at the table---- the wyatts boneless chicken wings aka chicken nuggets! Yeah, you got that right, the chicken nuggets ugh. I am not a chicken nugget fan but these were pretty good. Visited Wyatt's for the first time last Friday. It was a nice night, so we sat on the patio. There was a handful of people there and very few inside the bar. We ordered burgers and were told of the "bottomless fries" and the french fry powder (basically flavored salt). Burgers came in a reasonable amount of time and were good. They were sloppy-greasy, which is not necessarily a bad thing in a burger. But these were so sloppy that the bottom bun on my burger was mush. I had to eat the burger with a fork. Fries were decent. "Fry powder" was to me a useless novelty. Once you sprinkled on enough to impart flavor the salt level was off the charts. I'm docking them for service. While our server was outstanding and attentive and funny, the bartender could apparently not find the time to pour two beers while we were eating our burger. Those beers arrived later, when we were on our last bites. "Burger and a beer" because "First a burger and a glass of water and THEN a bite of a burger and a beer to wash it down." All things said, we need more places like Wyatt's out in the Chain Restaurant Wasteland of the southern suburbs. read more

Food was good! Service was not the best but felt bad the guy was working really hard and kept getting sat. There were some disgusting things we noticed while sitting there for almost 2 hours... the bar tender and server did not use utensils for digging garnishes out of jars/containers. When holding drinks they were held at top where people drink out of them and the server handed a guy a straw bare hand not in a napkin or something. People were being sat at dirty tables as ours was not washed. I also did not see one table get wiped down with a rag... ick!!! Was just kind of unsanitary place. Sad because I thought food was decent just makes you wonder how clean the kitchen is if they aren't cleaning in front of the customers. Won't be back. read more

OK, I've been patronizing this place since it's beginning in Eagan. Let me start by saying I've never had anything bad to eat here. The food is good, with some creativity to the menu (ie: wild game sliders). The service at the bar can be horrible. 45 minutes to get our food after 2 inquiries. The bartender likely failed to put in our food order. He took my wings off the bill, but listed it as 'customer not satisfied'. How about you get it right the first time being attentive, list the mistake as your own and not cost your owner unnecessarily comped food. Those 2 guys work too hard. Oh, and please house make your bleu cheese dressing along with 15 cents worth of celery. I only intend this as constructive criticism because I like the place. read more

I visited here for breakfast a couple of weeks ago. There was a fair amount of people here but nothing that should have caused any delays. After an initial wait of over 10 minutes we were greeted by our server. She took our drink order and returned 8 minutes later with the drinks. She took our food order at that time. The food was delivered 45 minutes later. I had ordered biscuits and gravy with eggs and the wild rice potatoes. I received eggs with sausage and wild rice potatoes. I was finally able to flag down the server and tell her of the issue. She offered to bring the biscuits out but by the time it came out my eggs were cold. My potatoes and sausage were overcooked and burnt on the underside. The server did not offer to do anything so I located the manager and told him the problem. He was friendly and apologized for the issue. He took the food off the bill. I was still disappointed to hear that a week later my sister went to the restaurant during a time that was not busy and it still took over 45 minutes to receive her food. I would definitely not recommend coming here unless you have plenty of time to wait. read more

Horrible service. Arguably, the worst service I have ever had. Waitress ignored our booth with 4 other people in the place. No refills. Messed up orders, did not allow us to have endless fries. We went to the bar to pay, then she commented about how we "stiffed" her on a tip as we walked out. Food was expensive and sub-par. My boyfriend got food poisoning from his- actually needed to go to the hospital after 3 days. Save yourself your money and time and go support somewhere else that is local. read more

My husband came tonight (Sunday) & sat at the bar. Here is our experience: Bar - The bartender was awful. He clearly wasn't happy to be there. In our experience, we like bartenders to be happy to see us. Or at least have a friendly, 'Hello' or 'How are you?' I mean, honestly, a friendly Hello goes a long way. Food - Ugh...I ordered a MN tot burger or something and was told they didn't have tots tonight. Oh. Well, I guess I will have a bacon cheeseburger. He left so quickly I had to yell after he walked away that I wanted it medium-rare. He had to come back to ask what kind of dust we wanted for our fries. As for the flavored 'dust', I don't get it. You can barely taste anything, so I don't see the point. My burger was bland and really small. The bacon was fatty too. Yuck. Hubby's burger wasn't great either. He also ordered boneless wings with jalepeno blackberry sauce, 2 of his favorite things, but he wasn't impressed. Drink - My husband had a double porter, which he loved. I had a saison in a bottle, which wasn't so great. The worst thing is that my so-so bottle of beer was $8. $8!?!?! Really??? That's a little ridiculous. Final thoughts - We can't recommend this place and certainly won't be back. I hate to write a bad review, but maybe the owners will read this and realize they have some issues to deal with at their new location. We are fans of Lucky's in Mendota and will continue to go there for consistently delicious burgers. We were hoping to throw our support behind this place, but they honestly didn't give us much to work with. read more

I really wanted to like this place. We stopped in for dinner and the bad first experience began. The place was busy and nearly full, usually the sign of a good restaurant. We were sat in a booth almost immediately, another good sign. Initially the server was attentive, but surprisingly as the place got less and less busy the server became less and less available. I had a juicy Lucy burger and my wife had the fish and chips. We waited an unusually long time for our meal. During our long wait for food, another server actually asked us if we were ready to order our food. A little sad. This just shows the level of disorganization at the restaurant. When the food finally arrived everything was room temperature and the fries and chips were stale tasting, cold and unseasoned. Disappointing to say the least because we waited so long for the food. It appears that as we waited, our hot fresh food, sat in the back, cooling and waiting for our server to deliver it. The fish was tasty, crispy and a good size portion. The burger at room temperature, was on the small side, but tasty and good. I felt cheated by the small size and it is no where near the quality of burger of a Matt's Bar or the Nook. In fact a Smash Burger or Culver's Burger is much a better product at a better price. The French Fries were terrible: cold, stale and lacked seasoning. The place has potential. I am hoping they get their act together. read more
