Let's start by saying our server Eugene was very nice. We came to meet family and have some food and drinks. We ordered wings and the Korean tacos. The wings were good but the tacos were extremely salty, I have had them before and they were not this salty on previous visits. I couldn't even finish one. The biggest issue is it truly felt like we were eating outdoors with the amount of flies ( fruit flies and black flies) in this place. I was super grossed out by it. My husband said the men's room had a ton of flies as well. I'm not sure that we will go back again. We found Wyld Pines through some Facebook ads that were running and glad we did. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, the decor is amazing as you can see with the Sasquatch mascot, the food/service was top notch. We had two burgers, one vegan Western and one normal cheeseburger and both were cooked to perfection. The fries were beer battered and outstanding. One of the other things that stood out is Jim the owner was looking for honest feedback and fortunately any feedback he's received seems to have been taken into account as we had zero complaints. Did the "dark dining". We had a blast from beginning to end. Your waitstaff are wearing night goggles and they lead your party in via conga line. As soon as you enter the room you are hit with the total darkness and the smell of a campfire nearby (nice touch)! You cannot even see your hand in front of your face. We were like kids (laughing, giggling). Each course was carefully put in front of you and you are gently directed on what utensil to use. You literally have no idea what you are about to put in your mouth! Woot! The food was very tasty and we were surprised by how accurate most of our guesses were! You find out when you leave what you ate. We ate no liver, brains or anything crazy. I would have taken pictures, but.... Well, it was too dark (duh). Go with friends and give it a try. I give 2 stars only for the dark dinning experience of being blind folded while you eat. I was visiting from out of state and thought this would be a cool thing to do, well I was wrong, I usually dine at fine dining so the food was a bit bland and overcooked. Once getting back to a friends house several of we're sick immediately, the ones that weren't sick barely partook in the food. Based on the fact that it's 3 days after I ate there and still been on toilet, is a sign of either food poisoning or food poisoning there was not getting around that . I wish I didn't have to write this because the experience was cool, but the food was not great at lol. Maybe the dark dining food is different than the main dining food, I don't know but this was a very bad experience in totality. read more

Man I wanted to love this place. My drink was amazing. However the wait for food was 40 minutes, it was not packed. I ordered the mushroom burger, it had 4 slices or 1 mushroom on the burger, the patty was not seasoned. The cheese did not have that Swiss flavor, the bun was cold. One of the burgers came out medium but was ordered no pink. I think if you can get the kitchen issues fixed this place will be great. I loved this place when it was called Tapped, and I love it even more as Wyld Pines. Everything that was good before is still good, and some things are even better than before. Very large selection of food options, and everything I've had has been great. 12 beer taps, which are frequently rotated. Cocktails are good as well. Service is also consistently good. All this combines to make it easily my family's favorite pub in the Vancouver area (which is saying a lot, because we have a TON of good ones). read more

This was our backup after our original dinner plans were scuttled at the last minute, but had been recommended this place a few times so we figured it would be worth a shot. Buckle up, this one gets bumpy. The hostess and waitstaff seem fine, but the place had lots of open tables on a Monday evening so it's tough to say what goes on when they're any kind of busy. Those are the last nice things I can say about this place. The salad I ordered was served to me with a piece of tape in it that I had the pleasure of chewing before recognizing it as distinctly "not food". I've never in my life gotten such a giant chunk of something foreign in my food, let alone in a $22 salad. Our waitress was very apologetic, and immediately offered to have it remade, but the manager on duty never left the bar to come apologize or offer any kind of resolution. Sad to see management that will hang their front of house staff out to dry when it comes to back of house mistakes, we certainly will not be back to this version of this spot. I wasn't even going to write a review, but after our waitress offered to comp the meal we were then required to pay for our drinks (that we didn't finish) by that same manager that couldn't come apologize for our experience. I hope our $25 was worth the 1-star review! The nice thing is that nothing seems to last in this location, so I'm sure it will be rebranded and opened under a new name before too long. First time dining here tonight... Overall experience, exceeded my expectations! Our server, KAYLA, was phenomenal! Literally felt like we were visiting a close girlfriend who invited us over for dinner! I had a borderline, Karen-ish, picky order request and she not only ensured it was perfectly executed but also didn't make me feel like I was being extra (even though I was haha) It was SUPER busy, but she treated us (and her other guests) like we were the only ones there! My BFF ordered the chicken piccata and said it was delicious... her portion size was large enough for Big Foot himself! My pregnant-acting self (not really pregnant just eating my feels rn) wanted a burger, but with a chicken breast instead of beef... I was craving avocado and bacon and pepper jack AND pickles too ohhhh and on grilled sourdough please plus a side of garlic fries... cause you know, feelings... anyway, it was Exactly as I wanted! This place used to be called Tapped Brewhouse & Pub and changed to Wyld Pines back in December 2022. Same owners, they changed the name because they are more than a basic taproom with pub grub. Interesting & fun decor with a flair for the uniqueness the PNW has to offer. They have a decent selection of local beers on tap along with an extensive whiskey & cocktail menu. Their food menu looks great, too, with plenty of starters, salads, burgers/sammies and nicer entrees as well. One downside of the menu is they don't have many gluten-free option, so it would be nice if they added a gluten-free bun/bread/tortilla option for their burgers, wraps & sammies. The Hubs had their burrito, which was delicious. I had the veggie wrap and upgraded +$2 to sweet potato fries as a side (and they were the crinkle-cut kind, nice!). The wrap was quite good, but I do have 2 suggestions for their kitchen to improve it: cut the broccoli florets smaller (some were huge, especially in comparison to the size of the other cut veggies), and thicken up the peanut sesame sauce (it was more of a vinaigrette which dripped all over; perhaps add some mayo to make it more of a dressing/sauce consistency). read more

We are always on the hunt for a good place to eat that is close that both me and my fiancé can enjoy. He's less of an adventurous eater than me, so usually that includes American dining. The atmosphere is really fun. I love the PNW geared theme and the customer service was friendly and attentive. There's even a cute outdoor patio. The camas burrito was HUGE and had a fair amount of steak. But I didn't love it. I would have it again, but the fries were a bit overwhelming. Was hoping for more of a crunchy shoestring type fry and it was very much like home style potatoes. In my opinion the fried avocado adds nothing to the burrito. Texturally you can't tell it is fried with everything else going on in there. I enjoyed the pickled onion and jalapeño which came on the side. My fiancé ordered and burger at the waitresses urging as she said they were really good there, but he wishes he would've had the macaroni and cheese. Overall a good option close to home. It's a fun place to go for food and drink, particularly for the younger set who don't mind a loud place with TVs running on the walls. After ordering drinks and food and took another 15 minutes for two draft beers to come. We were blindfolded, led in to a dark room with a "Forest" vibe (sounds), shown to seat and served a 7 course meal which was fantastic and very filling. Experienced the Dark Dining with some family and friends for the second time. Chef Brandon is absolutely amazing and your taste buds are on cloud 9 throughout the entire meal. The change to blackout masks and goggles did not disappoint, very comfortable to wear and you are still dining in the pitch black darkness. The wait staff is very friendly, and amazing with advising what utensils to use, telling you where your drink is and letting you know when the next course is in front of you to start diving in. Unfortunately this is a place I've been waiting to try since it replaced tapped, but now I probably won't ever. I walked in, two groups were waiting ahead of me and my friend, after standing around for about 5 minutes I asked one of the groups of girls if they had to put down their name or if anyone comes by, and they said someone about 15 minutes came by and took their name, so we patiently waited. 25 minutes goes by without someone as much as greeting us or asking about our party etc. so we left. Extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service, regardless of being busy. I add ontop of this, we were a party of 2. We've been in enough times lately the bartender remembered us - and our drinks which was nice. The Korean Tacos and Pub Pretzels are my go-to and are amazing. I live close by and I swear when I drive by my mouth waters! I can't say I love the theme as I'm not an outdoorsy person and find Sasquatch to be unnerving but the busyness and great service creates a great experience. My wife and I came in today for lunch. We are regulars from when this used to be called Tapped. They were pretty busy with one person managing the bar area and two waiting on the main dining room. We were sat fairly quickly, and since there were only 2 of us and we were adults, we offered to sit at a table in the bar. At the time we came in there were five 2 tops in the bar area with 3 people seated at the bar. The bartender was nice enough. She sat us and we waited about 5-10 minutes to place our drink order. At that time, we were ready to order lunch but she left before we could ask her. Our drinks returned very quickly, but then she ran off before we could place our food order. We waited a long time with our drinks and watched her take the food order for 2 other tables who had came in after us. At one point, I asked my wife if she wanted to just pay for the drinks and leave. The bartender finally returned to us to take our order. We had gotten sat at about 1255, and our food order was taken at 120. While waiting for our food, she did come by and offer my wife another drink. We saw three tables that came in after us get their food. At this point we were getting hungry and frustrated, but remained polite. Our food arrived at 150. The steak sandwich was excellent. My wife ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The tomato soup was very good, but her grilled cheese was lukewarm. The bartender came by within 2 minutes and asked us how our lunch was. When we were done, she came by and provided the check and cashed us out promptly. Overall, the service was cheerful and pleasant, and the food was pretty good. From the food to the customer service, everything was literally perfect. Must try!!! Wyld Pines has a great menu! Everything we have tried we have loved. We've been waiting for a new great Camas/Vancouver restaurant and now we have it! It's become one of our very favorite go to's. The decor is all PNW and very fun! Their happy hour menu is amazing (definitely try the bbq pulled pork sliders!) but really everything is good. We have had amazing service every time. The bar area is fun, but we've also eaten in the restaurant section and recently got to experience the Dark Dining Experience. I was a little skeptical since I'm a bit picky, but enjoyed all the courses and discovered there are quite a few things I didn't realize I liked until I ate them without knowing. IN THE DARK EXPERIENCE Me and my party of 4 attended the in the dark experience at Wyld Pines. First off all anxiety about eating in total darkness the staff is exceptionally understanding and kind. If anyone in our group needed to step out and have a break from the total darkness. They were able to re group and come back again after a few minutes. Another point I'd like to make is how above and beyond the staff goes to accommodate their customers. 2 out of the 4 had seafood and nut allergies and 1 of us on crutches they went above and beyond to ensure we were safe getting and out and settled in the dark and that they had special seating in order to make sure they were giving the appropriate plates, all was safe and well. The food was phenomenal! We had so many things to try and were constantly bouncing ideas off each-other on what the foods were. We even chatted with tables around us trying to get the idea of what we had. So many courses, so much food. We were stuffed! You can still order from the full bar, no spills were made! It gets easier in the dark as time goes on. We even got to speak with the head chef and go over the list of the things we had eaten. The food was delightful, delicious and so exciting. Please please consider this dinner for out of town friends, birthdays, anniversaries or work team bonding experiences! You will not be disappointed! We had a fabulous time. And you will too!
