We saw the Christmas Carol on a Sunday at 2pm. The Wyly Theatre is across the street from the AT&T Performing Arts Center. We parked about 2 blocks from the theatre. There was ample parking lots for an $8 daily rate. We used the lot on Leonard Street between Ross Ave and San Jacinto Street. The theatre has drinks and candy for purchase. The alcohol comes in a sealable container that you keep. When you come in you can take the steps or elevator up to the theatre. My Family and I had tickets for the 2nd floor on the side. We were row A seats 207- 210. They were perfect. We could see everything. If you sit on the first floor by the isles you will have the actors walking by you. Probably not a great place for a smaller child. The seats aren't the most comfortable but they weren't hard. The theatre was a little hot at first but did cool down by the middle of the play. I saw people bring sweaters to cover up when the temp cooled down. The music and singing were great. My family all enjoyed this play. Scrooge (Brad Leland from Friday Night Lights) was really good. His voice was perfect for the scrooge character. I also loved the violin and other instruments. I would recommend this play to families. If your child can sit through a movie then they will do fine here. Bring cash for the charity collection they collect for at the end. They raise a lot of money for a great cause. The play started about 210pm and lasted for about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Great ! every time we see a show there. This show was Hood the Musical. It was hilarious, action packed and creatively done. I can't wait the next show...!

THE SHOW: I enjoy the annual video of A Christmas Carol, particularly the Muppet version! I was consumed by the Dallas Theater Center production at the Wyly from the opening. There are several memoriable moments in this show. The inspiring to see a fresh interpretation of this classic. I have a feeling my wife and I will be back to see it and others productions in the future. THE HALL: I have been in almost every theater and hall in the Dallas/Fort Worth area except for the Wyly Theater. The design of the hall always intrigued me. The seats are not the best, but I did not notice them once the show began. (If you go expecting to be uncomfortable, you will feel the seats are fine.) I enjoyed the intimacy of the theater. Our seats were on the second level (Mezzanine, Level 3A, seats 219 & 220, photos included). We could not see one actor on a platform immediately below us during one dialog, but this was not a problem. I agree with the other posts that there is not a bad seat in the house. PARKING: We normally park in the Arts garage for the Meyerson but choose to pay for parking in advance in the Lexus Silver Lot. I am glad we did considering this parking was sold-out the night of our show. There is a tunnel which connects directly from the parking area to the foyer of the Wyly. (I missed that and went up the elevator in the garage and then had to cross the street and walk down the steeply sloped outdoor area (Esplanade) to the entry.) The entrance to the Silver parking area is on Jack Evans (turn off Ross onto Jack Evans). Taking DART train is certainly a good option too if you do not mind walking a short distance (0.4 mile). Present your tickets at the entry and wait for the theater to open. Elevators will take you to your level (3-orchestra, 3A-mezzaine, 3B-balcony). The foyer includes a few tables with chair, a concession area, and restrooms. The restrooms are on each side of the concession stand and you may not see them as they blend into the wall treatment. The foyer opens 90 minutes before and the seating opens 30 minutes prior to the show. For this particular show, young children need to know the story of A Christmas Carol and be prepared for some intense scenes near the beginning.

Visited to see Dream girls last night. The theater isn't big, but still big enough to enjoy the show. It's very clean and modern. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's walking distance to the DART station which is good if you don't want to spend lots of money on parking.

The seating is horrible on you but being right in the performances was great. Oh and the staff was nice and went beyond.

There's a bar with alcoholic beverages and sodas in additional to light snacks such as candy bars and peanuts. If you're tired of paying $100 to have to use binoculars just to see the stage at DSM Fair Park, you should definitely come check out a show here!

The design of the building is aesthetically pleasing, art deco, big windows. I rather like all the red inside too, but perhaps that is just me. It is very much its own space, and not like any of the modern buildings today. Parking is free, which is a rare find in Dallas these days too. There are concessions, wine, soda, cookies and such, which you can take into the theater with you. The air conditioning was icy cold, which I was happy for! For those that got too chilly, right in the back are blankets available to use! How charming. I'd say every view is a good one here too, no bad seats. I found the chairs more comfortable than the ones at the Wyly Theatre for sure. The play itself was well done, good casting, especially Colonel Brandon, though he did make me think - Willoughby who? *fans self* The revolving stage was a little distracting, but the play itself was lovely as Jane's work almost always is. The actors bounding up the stairs and into the audience was unexpected for this type of play, but worked well, and many of the lines were delivered to much laughter. Austen fans shouldn't miss it!

The house acoustics are wonderful and the seats were comfortable enough to endure an almost three hour show! Honestly, the bathroom situation could be improved, because the lines were so long (even for the men's) that I really had just enough time at intermission to go there and back. It's a first world music venue with second world bathrooms. Also, I am not a tall guy, but airplanes have more legroom than the Morton Meyerson. I will give them an A+ on programming though, great show, especially to bridge a cross-generational audience! OK, I know Danny is 74 years old, but the bulk of his fans are much younger!
