Don't laugh we came here because my daughter's boyfriend's family was coming here for spring break and we haven't been in a vacation in a minute so we decided to all go as well. Granted there were a ton of spring break college kids but there was just as many families. At first I was a little put off because my wife and I have only done adult only resorts, however the rooms were well insulated from the noise, the spring breakers never got too rowdy as far as we could tell, then again we were always back in the room by 9:30pm call us old :) Granted there are 3 pools, but two of them are more for little kids, with slides and a pirate ship, there is also an area with arcade games and pool tables and more unfortunately it is for 12-17. Wish they would have had some pool tables, darts, something for adults. Service was great everywhere we went, the food was hit and miss with the best being at the Italian restaurant.

RESTAURANTS Casa de Rosa restaurant isn't very well lit. They need better lighting inside. I went here twice during my stay. The first night, they were very busy so it took a while for the hostess to arrive to the front to take names/room numbers down. Viaggio gets busy so put your name down ahead of time..like around when they open. The buffet is the only restaurant that is open for lunch because they have food options at the beach and pools. There are hot dogs and burgers at the children's pool area. At the main pool, they have grilled options which change daily. There are tacos available at the beach. They do have options if you're on a special diet so that's good. Cravings is where kids will love. There are sweets, dessert, soda, doughnuts, ice cream and more for the taking for them and you. Strawberry is really good and cookies & cream ice cream. The coffee shop is the only place open 24 hours in the resort. They have coffee, sandwiches, pastries and fresh fruit. Of course, the menu changes as the day progresses. ----------------------------- The entertainment is very good here. There were shows in the ballroom and in the main pool. My favorite were the ones at the pool. The fire show and the acrobatics shows were fun. If you're lucky enough to get a room facing the beach you may be able to watch them from your room. The gym is small and a little dated, but it has what you need to get some work in while on vacation. I stayed on the 6th floor which has access to the VIP lounge. There you can find finger foods, fresh fruit, premium alcohol. You can tell the bartenders your choice of alcohol if you wish or you can have them choose. They have a pool table and you can hang out here. I hung out a few times and other times I'd get a drink and snack before heading back to my room. Tip in pesos!! Don't forget to take a photo at the Cancún sign at the beach. The gift shop is expensive and you probably want to avoid buying anything you might've forgotten to pack. Take a walk outside to a convenient store and buy it for a much cheaper price. I had room service once and until 11pm. I had a burger and fresh fruit. I wish I would've taken advantage of this more. Do allot about 40 minutes for your food to arrive. Upon check in there is a QR code for you to scan (e-concierge) and this will you your best friend during your stay. You'll be able to view the activities, menus for the restaurants. For the activities I suggest doing the walk to the Mayan ruins. Dress accordingly and it's a good walk to and from the ruins. You'll enjoy this experience. I also did yoga and salsa lessons at the gazebo. You want to do an activity here just because the space is so calming. There are plenty of activities they do at the pool and beach areas. If you have questions, DO NOT ask guest relations. It is a ploy for timeshare. If you have questions ask the front desk. Do not book excursions to Chichen Itza through the hotel. For the price they were offering per person you can get through a third party for two people. I booked the resort through their website and I immediately was given transportation which I didn't agree to until it was the day before my departure. The cost was too much, but it was a private car to the airport to the resort and back to the airport when I'd check out. However, booking through the resort you are guaranteed transportation and won't have to be wondering if your ride will be arriving. Next time, I will probably book on my own for transportation.

The Italian Place was solicited as if it was straight from Italy...I'd stick with the Gen Pop buffet.

Booked this on a Black Friday deal...actually l booked earlier then cancelled when I heard about the Black Friday deal...This Wyndham screams family vacation but somehow it also gives vibes of spring break too lol. Didn't bother me one bit...for the most part it was a good mix of people from all over... At night you'd sometimes hear Souja Boy, D4L, and of course 50 Cent from the lobby DJ(a lot of EDM and a few random Tems songs)...we tried a little bit of everything this all inclusive had to offer....breakfast is easily the best meal...and anything where we can keep it simple is always best...the pool food stations and the taco stand are by far simplicity at its finest and plentiful...I missed them most days as we had already left for excursions and they close at 3pm. I can't speak for any of the alcohol, most of the bottles remind me of college days that have quickly passed...I had a few drinks but very basic options like rum and ginger or rum and coke...they have a decent Bacardi bottle...they alcohol is not different than any other all inclusive around so don't let this turn you off. There is a coffee shop that stays open pretty much all day...great for morning snacks before regular dining opens and you have to leave for the day. The resort is big enough so you don't feel crowded but small enough for you to move around fairly quick. The kids area is pretty fantastic...plenty of water slides and options for kids ages 4 and up...I did peek by the kids club which was very popular...certainly a plus when deciding to book this hotel. Hotel is located in the hotel zone which makes for an affordable shuttle to and from airport...room was clean and customer service was fantastic...be aware of late check out...no one mentioned a charge to us until we got to the counter to leave...however the receptionist did take it off the bill but insisted on charging me .53 cent for that one local phone call...skip the phone calls all together. The bed and pillows could use a little work...however the bed and pillows at our current resort aren't much better...I prefer a firm pillow and all I keep finding are these lazy hollow pillows lol. Food: 6/10 Customer service: 8/10 Location: 10/10 Activities: 10/10 Room: 7/10 Beach Access: 8/10 Value: 8/10 Overall it's a solid four out of five for those looking to take the family to Mexico...I've got another review coming soon on the Royalton which is twice as much but you still can't compare to the Wyndham.

I'm going to try and get it all out without being too long-winded. My family set this vacation up and I tagged along after putting down my money. Pulling up to the hotel, it's mixed in with all of the others in the hotel zone of Cancun. The lobby is outdoors and someone brought us bottled water right away. That was a nice touch! Check-in was mostly easy but you have to wear a bracelet the entire time you are there to let everyone know you are a guest. Not my favorite but it is what it is. We were put on the third floor of the main building in one of the junior suites with an ocean view. I would say it was more of a pool view with the ocean a bit to the side. The room was very nice with a little step down into a living room. The TV got all of the standard US channels as well as some European channels mixing with all of the Mexican channels. There are standard North American plugs in the room and also a couple of universal plugs for European and other visitors that were a bit wonky. They didn't take to our cords very well and we had to make sure they were plugged in well enough otherwise our phones would sit there all night without charging. Just like the other reviews say, the AC is really loud when it starts up but then it quiets down a few seconds later. We kept it on 21c the entire time and it kept the room comfortable. Everyday they restocked the fridge with drinks as well as some snacks. We were told that we could call anytime to have housekeeping prioritize us or get our fridge stocked sooner. We spent most days at the pool and the beach. There are two pools and one is more adult-oriented with plenty of club music and activities happening throughout the day. The other one is deep but I feel like it's more geared towards kids as there is a fun pirate ship play thing nearby and no club music. We went to all the different restaurants and I believe that Casa de Rosa and Ventanas were the best. Casa de Rosa is the Mexican restaurant and everything was always good and flavorful. Ventanas is the buffet and it's dependable for the most part. On Sunset is more of the meat/protein place and everything was okay. The Italian place was also just okay. Lastly Azul is mostly an Asian place and their appetizers rocked but the entrees were duds. They got professional chefs here that make all the food look very fancy but it doesn't always taste as good as it looks. There are drinks everywhere and plenty of bars to serve up the alcohol. But definitely feels like the drinks were watered down. Also another thing we didn't really like was whenever we walked into the lobby, there are people around trying to upsell excursions and whatnot. Didn't really want to be bothered all the time when we were just passing through. My family did buy some sort of vacation package that got us better bracelets and once we had those on I noticed that the staff kind of left us alone for the upselling. Speaking of upselling, every time you go to dinner they will try to upsell you a tomahawk steak or a lobster tail for $60 USD which I'm not entirely sure is really worth it. We didn't really want to pay it after paying all the money to have everything all-inclusive. I went to the gym a few times and it actually is a pretty decent size for a resort. Would recommend! The beach here is awesome. Cabanas go for about $70 a day USD and there are also just plenty of lounge chairs to grab. There's also a lifeguard who makes sure that if the wake is rough that day, you have to swim in a certain area that's a little more tame. You're given towel cards where you exchange for clean towels for the pool or beach. Be sure not to lose those or you could be out some money. Lastly there is a gift shop that sells everything but it's very expensive. If you want to pay a better rate, walk 10 minutes south down the main boulevard to one of the pharmacies where everything is about half the cost of the gift shop. I think I covered it all.

We had a great one week stay at Wyndham Alltra Resort. We visited with two toddlers in tow, and a few other family members with their own rooms. We visited in mid December, and found everything to be truly great. We went in with relatively low expectations about crowds, food, updates around the hotel, etc. The building/grounds: it's no 5 star luxury hotel, but it is well kept, clean, and spacious enough to accommodate your needs. For our family, we really loved that the layout is pretty condensed. Within a couple of minutes, you can easily walk from the kids' pool to the beach. This made it so easy to move from spot to spot throughout the day without crazy transitions. (Really the only challenge was that I didn't get a map or see a posted one, but it wasn't too hard to find things or just ask for help) The activities: the two pools, pirate ship themed water slides, and two larger slides (for ages 5-12 only) and the beach were all beautiful and enough to entertain our crew. They regularly have workouts going on, sand volleyball games, pool games, etc. There are plenty of opportunities to move and interact with other guests if you want to. The food/drink scene: we tried all but one of the restaurants for dinner (sorry casa de Rosa , the one night we tried to get in we waited too late and it was too full for a table of 6). Previous reviews raved about Viaggi's for Italian cuisine, so we headed there first. It was a very nice, upscale vibe, but we felt a little out of place with 3 tiny babes at the table here. We really loved the evening views at "at sunset", but our true fave was Azul: you've gotta try the teriyaki salmon. I ordered it three nights in a row . The room service was a great addition for days when we had to hang out for nap times, but we didn't love the food we received unfortunately. For breakfast, I highly recommend Ventanas (amazing views, indoor and outdoor seating, vast buffet and so quick!) Lunch favorite was the poolside grill for sure! They also had great tacos right on the beach. All the bars had quick service and friendly bartenders as well! We don't drink much so I don't have much to report there. Coffee drinkers -- you won't get a craft coffee here, but they serve Britt coffee and the staff is super hardworking. They'll accommodate you! Other noteworthy things: we had ZERO problems w crowds, We easily found chairs at the pool and at the beach, generally always had access to shade if we wanted it, and other than one night we were able to get a table anywhere we wanted without any issues. Our maid did a great job keeping up with our room, and generally was able to fulfill our special requests (for additional water bottles, refilling facial tissues, etc) The staff: pleasant interactions with everyone from the front desk, to the activities team (Claudia is the best!), The ice cream shop, and more! I must also mention Juan Carlos - he is a waiter at Azul, where we ate three nights in a row. Admittedly part of the reason we kept coming back, other than the truly top notch teriyaki salmon, was because he was so great at providing an experience for our family. The first night we came, we were a group of 9, and he immediately welcomed us as family and asked us a couple of questions about our dietary preferences and then promptly brought so.many.appetizers and fan favorite drinks without our asking. It was a treat! He was friendly and upbeat and the most memorable staff member we interacted with. We really had a great week, and I'm so grateful we got to come and be spoiled by the amazing staff, and breathe in the gorgeous views and silky soft white sand.

Great family resort. Great pools, food and full of kind people and ambiance. The family room with the bunk beds was slightly tricky because there are two steps to make when approaching the bunk beds. Not that safe for younger kids ... but we managed.

Everything is subject to change, stayed on the 3rd floor with ocean view in a junior sweet with a king size bed and pull out couch with balcony. Honestly more than enough for a couple and child/adult/teenager or anyone tagging along. They will offer upgrades upon check in. The resort offers transportation from airport to hotel and back must request prior to arrival with hotel. The food is right in between good and great meaning it's not the greatest and it's also really good. Sometimes you might want to make reservations for dinner for some of the exclusive dinner restaurants. You can rent a cabana for about $75 a day and it comes with drinks and towels and most importantly shade. Overall the Im experience is a 9/10 the service is great the drinks are good and the entertainment throughout the day makes it fun for adults and kids.

Previously, this resort was Panama Jacks, We went with our 3 year old and I would recommend 10/10! For pools, they only have 2, but the size of the resort makes that the perfect number. One is by all the kid stuff (pirate ship, slides, playground) the other is the main pool that is mostly adults but kids are welcome too. Both pools have low depth, kid-friendly areas. For food, the buffet was easy for meals with quick in and out. The cafe is 23/7, so for snacks and last minute meals (when your toddler doesn't finish their dinner) you can choose from yogurts, pastries and fruit as well as coffee for you. We got a one bedroom suite with a pull out couch. The couch is low height, so perfect and safe for my toddler to sleep on. They have a variety of floaties, water wings, sand toys, suntan lotion and other necessities in the gift shop. It's actually very large, so if you want to save packing space, you can find your floaties there. The balconies were safe and secure for the kiddos. And at any restaurant, no matter the menu, you can ask for the typical cheese pizza or chicken tenders even if they aren't on the menu- they will make magic happen for the little ones to fill their belly's and keep them entertained during dinner. The kids club staff will walk around the resort and let families know about crafts, pool activities, piñata time, etc. We made Mexican hats, splashed in the pools with balloons, and had a piñata night. All of these items are on the kids side of the hotel, so you never feel like you are interrupting others pool-cocktail time lol. Just as you will see in Panama Jacks reviews- it's the staff that make this place wonderful! You are helped with anything you need beyond what you expect or ask. Everyone is very accommodating to kids and we will be back! Special mentions to Maria at concierge, Fuastino at Azul, and all the club leaders at the kids club!

Perfect location with large beach on the ocean and bay view as well. The staff was extremely courteous. We reserved the waterfront walkout junior suite and it was the best choice ever as you pretty much wear a swim suit all day long and go back and forth as you like. It came with a beach cabana. Out of all the 5 restaurants the only disappointing restaurant was Viaggio, the Italian one. The best to my taste was Sunset! Every day, right by the pool they grill meats and seafood. The beef skewers were the best! Live music every night and shows by the bar in the lobby. We got the upgrade to VIP and had access to a beautiful lounge with full bar, finger food, pool table and an amazing bay view. Laura, the cleaning lady who took care of our room was the sweetest of all. Alejandra, the room coordinator took care of us from the first email all the way to our return home. The crowd in general was great. A mix of everything but mainly guests from Mexico. The place never felt to crowded. We never waited for anything from a dining table to any service. It was the most relaxing vacation ever. I recommend this resort to anybody who is looking for clear water, service, relaxation, great food and some fun.

resort arranged transportation is through discova priced at $170 for private roundtrip service from cancun international airport to hotel and back...pick-up at the airport was hectic because the representative was no-where to be found...after calling, was able to find the discova representative after 30 minutes of searching...short distance, but took roughly 30 minutes because of traffic...once at the resort, the check-in process is extremely slow...each check-in can take 20 minutes or longer due to passport check, forms, extra charges and every guest to be tagged with a bracelet by hotel staff...room was clean, but showing some age...thought this was a new resort, but realizing it's probably just a name and ownership change...toilet would constantly run water and a/c unit was loud, very loud....luckily, didn't have to have the a/c on during the night...housekeeping was slow, so sometimes rooms wouldn't be made until the evening... this is an all inclusive resort, so will review all parts...camp alltra for the children with drop off at 10am and pick up at 5pm was fantastic...plenty of activities indoors and outdoors, and staff doing a great job with the children...excellent!...property houses 5 main restaurants, a cafe, multiple bars, sweets shop and additional food stands...azul open for breakfast buffet in the morning with standard food, but the asian themed food served during the dinner hour was horrendously bad...some of the worst food tasted...ventanas is the go-to buffet restaurant from morning to dinner...food is average, but has a very large selection...most likely find something acceptable to fill...viaggio is the higher end italian restaurant with dinner service only starting at 6pm...line starts to form after 5pm...if you get in line by 5:30pm, you can probably get seated at opening, but get in line after 6pm and you are probably looking at a 8pm to 9pm seating time...pasta, steak, ravioli and most items are excellent...avoid the pizza, but everything else was good...casa de rosa is the formal mexican restaurant...the food is solid and usually can get a table if you wait in line near or little after opening time...skipped the sunset restaurant outside and mainly had dinner at viaggio and casa de rosa...cravings is a good stop after a meal for ice cream, donuts, beer or soda...hot dog and burgers at the food stand by the pool is good...bar staff are excellent and friendly...decent cocktails and some better to excellent depending on the bartender mixing the drinks... nightly shows are good and varies each day...evening dancing and activities were great...the staff does a great job keeping the energy level up and entertaining guests of all ages...

The customer service is top notch! I typically an all inclusive adult only resort kind of gal. However, my daughters boyfriend asked her to join him on his families spring break vacation. What does this mean... It meant my whole family was going to Cancun for the spring break with the boyfriend and his family :) this resort was pretty cool and it was nice that there were not kids falling down drunk every where. It was a little spring break esc, but just kids being kids nothing bad. The area was gorgeous and the beach was amazing. I felt very safe. 4 restaurants on site, all inclusive. The Mexican restaurant was my least favorite. The taco car at the beach was amazing and an excellent treat. They have. Sauna, a steam room a nice gym. Plenty of pool chairs at the large pool. We rented a cabana on the beach Sooo worth it. The cabana we rented, came with a cooler with champagne and flute glasses. I was happy here the the 4nights we stayed! I would recommend to parents if you can make sure you have a plan for the kids. This resort is nice and has plenty for them to do. However you need to plan for the days as things fill up fast. Would definitely recommend and would for sure go back.

Kiko, our absolute favorite person at the resort!

We just got back a few days ago and I couldn't wait to sit down and finally post my review! We arrived and our bellman, Kiko greeted us. He started singing "Happy Birthday"immediately, which was impressive because I told the resort well over a month ago we were celebrating a birthday. Kiko was AMAZING and treated us like family the entire time. Everytime we saw him, we greeted him with hugs. He was so great! He gave us a little tour and was always around throughout the duration of our trip. One of our favorite people! The front desk was so warm and friendly, and check in only took about 10 minutes. Our Room: We had the junior suite ocean view, room 2624. It was on the 6th floor which is the VIP floor - we didn't even know that! So we received black wristbands which gave us access to the VIP lounge and all the top shelf liquor, snacks, pool table etc. As I said, I already advised them that we had a birthday so they had the banner on the door and the room decorated with balloons and a slice of cake etc. The girls were so excited. Our room was roomy and clean. Staff: Everyone was so personable and hospitable, they really made us feel so welcome there. We were on a first name basis with everyone from the beach staff (Alfredo) to the coffee staff (Roberto) to the front desk (Kiko) to the bars (Ricardo & Leo), etc. Their service is impeccable. And you can tell they're not just doing it for tips. They really are nice! As a matter of fact, I had to chase the room service guy down to give him a tip because he took off so quick! All of the names mentioned above provided medallion service, and are the reason why we will definitely be returning. Food: The Tacos on the beach were delicious for lunch. We didn't spend much time on the resort because it was more kid/family oriented and we were out and about most of the time. We went to Ventana for the breakfast buffet and it was ok. Room service was okay as well, nothing too exciting but not terrible. We didn't have a chance to try out the other restaurants. But the 24 hour coffee bar was our go-to, and Roberto made theeeee best coffee! Pool: We never ended up at the pool because it was filled with people, whether it was kids and families or pool activities going on (volleyball etc). The pool isn't that big so it got crowded pretty easily. We just stayed on the beach for most of the time we were there. But they looked like they were having a lot of fun! Beach: The beach was amazing. There was a bar and a taco stand right on the beach and that was perfect. We had a cabana the first day, and it was well worth the $80. We were waited on hand and foot and had a cooler full of champagne, beer, water and sodas. The waiter, Alberto, continuously came by and took our drink orders, making sure we were comfortable and happy at all times. There were plenty of lounge chairs - but once the spring breakers showed up on our last day, there was nowhere to sit. It was windy the first few days, but once the wind let up, there were parasailing stands and jet ski stands set up on the beach. Bar Service: Very attentive, friendly and quick. The best drinks were obviously from Ricardo at the 6th floor VIP lounge, but the beach bar was so cool to have right there and there are tons of options from shots to actual cocktails. The lobby bar looked pretty fun in the evening and they had karaoke and stuff like that at times. Spa: We had the indoor massages and they were amazing. The hot tub is right outside of the spa so I would recommend getting in there and soaking for a half hour before your appointment. So relaxing. Excursions: We went to the Discova station at the resort to book our excursion. We did the Mud Madness with tequila tasting and it was $139/pp. It included ATVs, swimming in the cenote, fajitas for lunch and tequila tasting. Soooo much fun!!!! I think it's $100 or so without the tequila tasting. Overall Review: We really, really enjoyed our stay. I have never received such amazing hospitality in my entire life! Although it's not an "adults" hotel, I WOULD go back for the service alone. If I could take the staff from Wyndham Alltra and put them in more of an adult themed resort, I would have the perfect vacation. Lol! But honestly, we were so sad when it was time to go. We didn't want to leave! Please give your staff Kiko, Roberto, Ricardo and Alberto an award or something for their amazing service!! They truly went above and beyond!

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

The food was another highlight. With multiple onsite restaurants. Vina del Mar was perfect for starting the day- it serves breakfast lunch and dinner and offers mexican and international cuisine . Outdoor sitting was beautiful. All other restaurants would need reservations- and we tried Chianti Trattoria Italiana - serving Italian cuisine and had elegant atmosphere. We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Good resort, not perfect, but definitely worth checking out.

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and were looking forward to a relaxing vacation. We arrived early, 7:30AM and our private transportation picked us up after about 15-20 minutes after arriving. After a quick drive to the resort, we checked in. No welcome towel service nor welcome drink, but we received a warm neck wrap. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready until 11:30AM, so we walked around to explore the property and have breakfast. We received a text message from the lobby that our room was ready and to return to the front desk. We were told our room number and that our luggage would be delivered shortly. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean, clean, stocked with snacks and drinks ,and over all nice. We unpacked ourselves and headed to the pool. While we were on the way, we met our butler who's desk is located in the hallway of the elevators. At that time we were connected to a WhatsApp group text. Then we returned to our room with our butler, who reviewed the amenities and light switches in our room. We ate at all the restaurants. We went to Blanc and Terraza for breakfast and our 2 favorite restaurants for dinner were Bella and Yama. Unfortunately, on a few occasions, Terraza and Yama served us cold food, as if they were sitting out too long. We tried scheduling room service breakfast and they were behind in schedule 30-40 minutes. We were underwhelmed as the room service menu as it wasn't as grand as the other palace resorts; we were looking forward to the chocolate cake; which wasn't available. We ran into difficulties with our dinner and spa bookings. We made prior arrangements with our pre-concierge, but when we wanted to change our schedule, the on site concierge didn't have access to canceling them. We were told to email our pre-concierge to ask her to delete them from the system. Our pre-concierge also didn't confirm our restaurant bookings for certain days and so we had to ask our Butler if they were booked. What was the most disappointing was the evening entertainment. We were looking forward to certain shows/performances and then a few hours before the scheduled time, seeing the entertainment was removed and replaced with something mundane. We've been to Sun Palace, another adult only resort, down the road and after our experience at Le Blanc, we actually prefer Sun Palace over Le Blanc. From our experience.. Le Blanc is a great place if you enjoy the spa, peace and quiet, and want to just chill and lounge. But if you want a little more excitement, fun, music, and meet people and have great conversations, Sun Palace is the place. Our Butler, Rene on the 3rd floor was awesome. He made our anniversary special. Safety: We felt safe. When we arrived at the resort after walking down the hotel zone, security always checked us in. When we arrived via taxi or uber, they did the same thing. If you walked out to the beach, you have to scan your bracelet to exit the gate and also scan it the when you enter back onto the resort property. Elevators: There are 3 elevators and during our stay, 1 was always out of order. One day, 2 elevators were out of order. Luckily, we were only on the 3rd floor, so we often took the stairs. The stairwell does need more lighting, it is dark, so watch your step.

The king bed was two beds pushed together, but with some magic by the wife we made it more like one and were very comfortable. You can get a single king bed in some of the rooms. We were there with friends and didn't want be separated so we stayed with that configuration. I would try and get a room on the west wing. It actually looks to the east and you don't get the extreme heat in the late afternoon that the east wing does. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favs were the Black and White Steak house and Krystal. The Italian restaurant off of the lobby was good for a quick slice of pizza at lunch time. The buffet is like it is on a cruise ship and was good for most of our breakfast seatings. After a few days gets a little old. The staff was super friendly and hard workers. There is a 24 hour refreshment spot, but the food is only so so. Just for a quick sandwich or fruit. They do have a beer tap and a few selections of liquor available there for self service as well. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place. Tell them you will do the massage if they throw in the fish foot treatment. Sounds weird but it was pretty nice. This is all inclusive for food and drink. The drinks are pretty light and when you ask for something other than the house liquor I'm pretty sure it didn't happen all the time. The best is to ask for the drink with a shot on the side, or better yet go to the bar yourself and watch them make the drink. It was definitely better and i was assured to get the name brand. Over all I would recommend this RIU.
