I think it's new owners ... I love my nails every time I go and the guy is amazing with pedicures! My feet have always been sooo callused and hard. They use the razor, I am scared sometimes bc I don't want cut but so far so good The only thing I will say is if you get it done a certain way please tell them... they are not mind readers I learned the hard way .. if you want manicure make sure you ask for it... they have some people who don't apparently... and there is only three of them in there and they do appts as well sooo even if not busy looking inside it is still busy! read more

My usual place to get my eyebrows done was close randomly on a Sunday...ugh I know right? I decided to check out Wynn Nail Spa because I drive by it all the time. I walked in and told the lady that I needed an eyebrow wax. She asked me to have a seat and that'd she be right with me. Before she started she asked if I was just cleaning my brows up and if I liked my brows thin. I appreciated this because the last thing I want are thin eyebrows. She did a pretty decent job. I wish I had read the reviews before attempting this place. I typically get my acrylic nails done elsewhere, but after waiting way too long and having too many errands to get to "my" place I opted to pop in here for a fill to get me through a couple weeks until I would have more time. I opted for this place out of convenience (passing by: "look there! I'll go there!") and price. I wasn't expecting a lot out of a place that advertises a ~$19 full set, but I just needed a fill, fast, and cheap is fine. I waited approximately 15 minutes for my turn and the technician was quiet (which is fine with me, personally). I explained what I wanted and off she went. In the process she cut me three times (I've rarely been knicked in my 15+ years of getting my nails done), two drew substantial blood. The polish was over my cuticles and finger tips and the $20 fill somehow became a $41 one without any warning along the way of how that happened. Stay away from this place. Came on a Tuesday, so there wasnt a crowd at all. This was actually my second time coming here and I must say that I have to be in a terrible bind to come here and have services done. I came in wanting to get a pedicure and possibly a full set of acrylic nails. They told me to pick out a color and go to a station. I ended up getting this older woman that was just too rough. Jabbing into my cuticle and actually clipping my skin, slapping my foot when she wanted to work on the other foot. This place is new to the Haygood area of Virginia Beach. It's very clean and nicely decorated. They have about 8 pedicure chairs (the fancy ones with massage features) and they even have a little area dedicated to little girls who want to get a pedicure too. It's very cute with hello kitty stations and princess pink walls. They offer the normal nail salon features for hands and feet but they also do waxing, facials, massages, permanent make-up and eyelash extensions. They staff was very friendly too and prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back. read more

The overall experience was okay. I will not be going back for a couple of reasons. I spent $38 on a milk and honey pedicure that lasted all of 20 or so minutes. 2 days later and the polish is already chipping. I also did a gel manicure which for some reason is already chipping. Lastly I decided to get my eyebrows done and next thing you know I'm breaking out. I will say that their customer service was great. But it doesn't seem like they put care into their work. Like I mentioned it was an okay experience not bad until afterwards. If you need something quick then yes by all means try them out. read more

I just got a standard pedicure as my usual nail place is a little far from my house. I'm very low maintenance when it comes to my toes so I think they did an excellent job. The people were friendly enough and not very chatty with me, which I don't mind, as I'm not a very chatty person to begin with. The only turn off is that when you pay, they have to ask if you'll be tipping so that they can run your card for the correct amount. I generally like to write my tip on the receipt and go on my way, but it seems that wasn't an available option on their card reader so I had to announce my tip which felt kind of awkward. She got halfway through wrapped his legs in the hot towels and left him there to go start on another persons nails. We got up to go pay for me since they did mine and the lady told him to go sit down she wasn't finished with him even though he's been sitting with cold towels on his legs for 20 mins. Staff pleasant. Clean. Didn't advise of additional cost to do the "cheese grater" thingy on your feet to remove dead skin until half way thru pedicure. Also water was not warm. Had a full set done. Girl left before I sat back down to have painted so the things I wasn't happy with no one was there to fix. i.e. Crooked nail, different lengths on one hand. A different person applied my nail polish. It was messy and I had to ask for Polish to be removed from my skin. Once I got outside I noticed it was bubbled and not real smooth as you could see the Dremel marks in the polish. When I walked in I was sure this was a five star salon. Bad bad place! Got ripped off $60 tricked and lied to on my birthday! Go somewhere else! Owner had opportunity to make things right but she wanted to fight with me over $20 instead. She would not believe me that the man told me he was putting gel on my toes and hands and that I told him I don't go to nail salons and he clearly knew I was a good target to take advantage of. I live on the Eastern Shore and had to go across the bay for some errands. We decided too get our nails done. I got a pedicure and my granddaughter got a manicure. I asked the man too cut my nails down and cut the corners of the nails. he cut them straight across and I kept asking him too cut the corners. I got home and corners were not done. The nail is growing further into the nails. My grand got a set of nails and the are so thin 2 days later the pinky broke off. They got me for $63.00 and a tip so we will not be going back. I don't even want to give this place 1 star. They use previously used nail files and scrub pads. The file was very worn and when I questioned it she said it was only used on me and proceeded to pull another old one from her drawer. This is not sanitary. The scrub pad looked used as well and again I questioned her about the sanitary conditions and she started throwing files and pad in the trash. I would not recommend this place. read more

I wish I would have read reviews before I went here, bc i wouldnt have gone, and I'm so upset that I went. I literally had the worst mani/pedi of my life here. Somehow I spent $62 for a mani/pedi that not only sucked during the process, but doesn't look good either. I could deal with one or the other...but I got neither. I started out waiting for probably 20 minutes in a chair before I got helped, then sent to the spa chair (which was the best part of the entire ordeal) and waiting another 20... then I was greated, and the guy apologized and started my...15 minutes pedicure, in which he used no cuticle cream, no cuticle oil, and when clipping my cuticles, sped through so fast, there's no way he could have gotten anything. (Which, I looked at the cuticle clipper...he literally had nothing on there, and I know I have cuticles to clip!) Then, it was followed with...you guessed it, NO MASSAGE! WHO GETS A PEDICURE WITH NO MASSAGE?! I guess he did an ok job on my toes, but then I was disappointed to see, he was going to do my manicure too. So, it was the same...no oil, no cream, then he used the little tool to sand my nails down on one hand, but not the other...he missed a second coat of polish on one nail, bc he seemed awful concerned with making sure my pinky didn't have any extra polish where it shouldn't be (he kept going back to it, like 5 times...) then...he took me to the wax (which...huh?...i never asked for...and usually that doesn't come with a manicure...) he took me back to the desk, took off the wax, put lotion on my hand (and I mean, literally, he just squirt the lotion) and told me to rub it in...wtf? He's lucky he got a tip at all (I really didn't want to...) but, no massage, no oils/cream, half assed, so fast AND it doesn't even look good! I saw this nail salon open near my house so I decided to give it a try. Now I'll be the first to say I do NOT care for establishments where English is not always spoken in front clients. It's rude and can make clients feel uncomfortable. I walk in with my daughter and tell them that we would like to check out their $19.99 pedicure special. So the young woman says ok and proceeds to take us to the pedicure chairs. Instead of saying we can't do both of you at the same time she proceeds to run water for both of us. She didn't check the temperature of the water for either of us before asking us to put our feet in. I tried to put a foot in and the water is way too hot. When I indicated the water was too hot she didn't apologize or check the temperature and just turns on cold water. So now my water is borderline cold. She just started on my daughter's feet. Not even two minutes in she asks my daughter: you want eyebrow wax? First of she's a minor so you shouldn't be directing the question to her but rather the parent. My daughter felt offended because she prefers her brows as they are. I interjected and told her no she's a minor. If you're going to try to sell another service she could have been way more professional...more like: "We offer other services such as waxing if you are interested." It was the way she came off. So I'm just sitting there with my feet in tepid water. That $19.99 price is basically a cuticle push, nail trim, and some bs exfoliation product. If you want a callus treatment it's an extra charge. I've been to other places and callus treatment is automatically included. She starts working on my feet and she nips my cuticle to the point it's bleeding...like running and dropping bleeding. She never once said I'm sorry I broke your skin. In fact she had trouble getting the bleeding under control. She just kept working. Which is beyond unprofessional!!! If you accidentally injury a client you are supposed to say something!!! Touching my skin with the tip of the anything that can possibly be used on other client is a state sanitation violation! She applied cuticle oil from a huge bottle and I felt the tip touch my skin...skin that she broke. Then as I'm sitting waiting for my toes to dry I see a woman come in for a brow wax. The wax area looks totally gross...no cover on the wax pot. You can see where wax dripped on the pot and obviously no one thought to clean it. The woman who did the brows did not wash her hands nor use gloves. Mind you she just finished doing someone's pedicure. No just no...we will not be back. It's establishments like this that give Asian owned shops a bad reputation. I don't believe in not tipping but I refuse to pay extra for crappy service. read more

My 2nd time here. Sitting at the pedicure chair now, which is the best massage chair I've had before. They do shellac nails without filing your natural nail which is what I was looking for. I hate ruining my nails. They have this really cute area for little girls set up with hello kitty chairs I think would be so cute to bring my daughter and a friend for a bday or something. My technician Lilly speaks really good English which is refreshing. She's did my nails last time I was here a month ago and they lasted for a long while. I've been to Wynn about 5 times and each time has been a good experience. You can get in fast and the price is good. They remember me and what I like. The shellac on my toes lasted a month, and my gel nails last about 3-4 weeks. I initially tried them out when my last salon (also in Haygood area) kept declining in service and quality to the point my paint was chipping by the time I got home. I said something about it and she said she would add the warm later. It was cold the entire 15 MINUTES that the pedicure lasted from start to the final clear coat!!!! She never asked how I was or anything. They use dirty sponges and old nail files and buffers kept in a drawer. I was literally in shock. Completely UNSANITARY. I am in the industry and I would never use something unsanitary on someone. Their tools are visibly worn and used. I have never been so utterly disgusted by the lack of professionalism in this establishment. There is a nut job who works here as a supposed "technician" who cut me open twice, flicked gel powder on me and ruined my pants, stepped on my freshly painted toe and then blamed me for it, and the icing on the cake was when I politely asked for another tech to finish the job and this woman flew completely off the handle. She screamed at me in the shop, approached me and began yelling in my face saying that she's not perfect and I should lower my standards. Remind you, this is in response to my single request for another technician. The way the staff handled her was disappointing to say the least, since I never even received so much as an apology. She was clearly unstable and should not be working with the general public. Save your gas money and go somewhere that has basic human decency and customer service.
