Over 20 years ago I attended the senior PGA Tour event that was hosted here I had forgotten how beautiful it is. The course is under new ownership, and somewhat recent years and lots of money has been invested in the entire course and golf club. Beautiful country club, restaurant, golf facilities, and course. From parking, to registration to scoring. Everything was working like a well oiled machine. The course itself was in great condition. Definitely one of the better courses in ATL. I don't remember a lot of elevation, but I do remember that there are plenty of marshes, so be careful with that big stick. The greens were in great condition, and rolled true.

When my credit card company notified me of the charge, I noticed that Fairway took it upon themselves to increase the tip substantially. This wasn't a mistake. The GM refused to take the call but instead had his crew try to take the heat. HORRIBLE and COWARDLY are those in a position of pressure that can't and refuse to handle the tough situations. Won't go back. And I actually like the concept. Now it's principle of the matter!!!

Plenty of parking since it was a Sunday afternoon, and it was cloudy with sporadic rain nearby, making the need to prepay for a booth unnecessary, since we were early and they had plenty of booths. Oh well, kind of disappointed they still charged us for that. We booked booth 216 for 90 minutes, Taylor K was our server and checked in on us to see if we needed any help getting started. We for a couple drinks and started our playing a few different games. With two people we play quickly, so we had a lot of fun. I ordered pretzel bites as a snack while playing and we didn't stop until the time was up. Easy to pay our tab, we had gift cards and Taylor helped us get it sorted out. Any leftovers we gave to him, along with a cash tip. Great location, near lots of options for food- but drinks and food are good here! Great for entertaining, great for big groups. I brought my new driver in for a butt trim and Rick, the manager, immediately detected a crack in the shaft. He quickly pulled a demo, cut to my requested length and checked the swing weight to make sure it was right (it was!). He spent a good 15 minutes with me to make sure I was satisfied (I was!). All this and he didn't charge me anything! What a great experience which is what I've come to expect from Trader Golf!

About four or five months before the wedding; the bride, groom, and both mothers met for a tasting so that we could choose the menu for the day. We were given a few appetizers, and a few entrées to sample family style. Everything was very good, and we narrowed it down to 3 main dinner options. One of the things we really liked about this venue is that they have a bridal suite upstairs where the bridal party and both mothers could get ready. It was a nice space with lots of room for hair, makeup, and changing. There was a small patio overlooking the parking where we could watch as guests arrived. There was a parlor downstairs with a pool table and flatscreen TVs where the groom, groomsmen, and dads could hang out and relax before the ceremony. The clubhouse itself is full of southern charm with its majestic white columned exterior and red tile roof. The back view is just as attractive as the front with its well manicured lawn that over looks a lake and several fancy estate homes. There is also a wide patio that overlooks the back lawn which was perfect for our cocktail reception and then later became a cigar bar. Inside is very spacious. There is a foyer with a spiral staircase where we displayed photographs and served champagne while the guests were starting to arrive. We had about 150 guests and there was plenty of room for tables, 2 bars, and a spacious dance floor in the ballroom. TPC Sugarloaf really lends itself to weddings because of its size and its beauty; inside and out. There are so many great spots for wedding photos. It is a great option if you are looking for an elegant setting and Amelia and her staff are ready to assist with every detail.

You have to park at the gas south concentration center and then you get on buses and are bused in. It's $15.00 a day. No one can enter the neighborhood till after 10am. Thats when the first bus leaves. We have not waited to leave or go head back any of the days busses have been available. We have walked the course each day. There are restrooms and concession stands throughout. The course is very elite and high end homes throughout.
