Worst customer service I have seen in a very long time. Had an appointment scheduled for 2 days out and they canceled it without notifying me in any way. I had to call after the appointment time to find out that it was canceled. After an hour, the person said there was an appointment for first thing in the morning (1/6/22 7:30am). I did not receive anything regarding my appointment in the morning but I did receive a survey later. Filled out the survey regarding my appointment and it said I have no future appointments. Rep 2 - Called back and spoke with another rep. Told him I do not want to restart my modem. "You will not need to restart your modem." Right before I lose internet in my house. But according to the rep, "You did not restart the modem yourself, so I did not lie." Stayed on hold for another 30 minutes so he can speak to his supervisor but his supervisor "logged off for the night". Asked to be transferred to someone else that can help me. Rep 3 - Apologized greatly for my experience. Said he would talk to a supervisor (that were apparently still available) and after about another 30 minutes he said he would set an appointment for 1/6/22, between 8am and 10am. Received a notification regarding my appointment for SATURDAY 1/8/22, 10am to 12pm.... Rep 4 - There are no appointments that he can see and Saturday is the only appointment that is visible to him. Arguing with me and then back tracking when I call him out for calling me a liar. Nothing has been done to resolve or confirm that the original issue has been resolved. read more

I used Xfinity HBO streaming services since 2017. Recently HBO MAX was deleted from my plan for no reason though, on my billing statement it is noted that HBO MAX is included in my plan and has been PAID for without interruption. Trouble shooting the issue myself on line could not be resolved. When I contacted Xfinity on line all I received was a reference to articles and the same automated messages. VERY FRUSTRATING. If Xfinity does not have the capacity and technical capability to handle streaming services they should not offer them. Worst service from Comcast EVER!!! I was sold 600 mbps in a local store. They verified my modem and router could handle the speed, from the store. After the visit in the store I only got spotty service with a maximum of 250 mbps. I emailed, I called, I sent lots of my time trying to get, first, 600 mbps service (no tech, no attempt to correct the problem), second, get charged only for what I was getting, 200 mbps. I was just on a call with Sylvia trying get my bill corrected and after waiting 20 minutes, the call hung up. Hello Xfinity / Comcast Colorado Springs! I would like to recognize my technician, Gary. He was notified that my internet stopped working after the line had been buried by another technician and he came right away and was able to fix it. Gary was courteous, kind, and respectful. He is an expert at his craft and Comcast/ Xfinity is lucky to have him. I am thankful for his time and service! Thanks Gary! I'm addition, I will say that I am surprised about all of the negative reviews. I'm a pretty tough critic with high expectations and I've had a great experience with xfinity since switching from another local provider. Their internet service is strong in my home, I have not had any issues when calling to speak with a real-life representative, and they've always had appointments available within 1-3 days. I've lived in several parts of the country over the last 15 years and I've even had Comcast in other states. I've concluded that Comcast XFinity in Colorado Springs is the absolute worst internet service provider that I've ever had. Unfortunately, even though there are about 500,000 residents in Colorado Springs now, this is still the only show in town. I will never use this crappy company again. We had their service for a few months. It was great! Then we moved. They have all their stupid commercials about how easy it is to move and continue service. LIES. We moved and even upgraded so someone came out to install everything. He took all the old boxes out and replaced everything but wouldn't explain why. Couple months goes by... our account online says we owe $0... okay. Wait for next month... same thing. How do we owe nothing?! Because they started a new account for us. Without our consent or knowledge. New account number which we had no access to either. The new account charged us account opening fees, installation fees, equipment fees and more. We are not new account holders, we've been with you for several months and that's how you repay us?! They say they are allowed to do this (you are allowed to commit fraud and open new accounts AGAINST THE consumer's wishes?!) and they do it sometimes. As though they just randomly selected who they can screw over. They refuse to fix it so I'm writing this review. Just moved to Colorado Springs less than a month ago. We set up internet and cable through Comcast on a 30 day trial. It didn't take 30 days to discover that the internet was very slow and the TV packages left much to be desired. We tried upgrading the internet and it was still just as slow. Our monthly rate should have been $70 and we were told that there would be no charge for install. 3 weeks into the trial we went online and our bill was over $200! When asking them why it was because there was a $40 install fee and a $7 monthly rental of the modem which we were not told about. They were also pre-billing the next month. Knowing that if we didn't cancel within 30 days I started looking into other options...otherwise we would be locked into a 2 year contract which will increase even more after the first year. Called Direct TV and their customer service was phenomenal. They explained all of the charges in great detail and were very helpful and best of all honest. We were able to get 225 channels for $45 per month. The most shocking thing to me was that Direct TV was unable to provide internet in our location. Ive called 4 other companies and no one else is able to provide internet! Only Comcast. Ive never experienced such a monopoly for a commodity in this day an age that is a necessity. The whole point of having free enterprise offering products and services is to ensure fair pricing, better customer service and to allow consumers to cast their "vote" by awarding their business. I am surprised that the competition laws allow for this and question why one company has a complete choke hold on the market leaving consumers restricted and forced to go with them. I will also note that the people I spoke with at Direct TV were not outsourced- I was happy to see that they are employing Americans. Given the market domination and wealth Comcast has taken - I say taken because it appears there is no other choice- why would they outsource their call center overseas and not give something back to the people by at least employing Americans? While we could have saved money by staying with Comcast $80 per month for both we have chosen to pay more out of principal. We will give Comcast the business that we are forced to and not a penny more. Hopefully my post will inspire others to push for change as this type of control a business has is not good for the economy nor is it good for the people. read more

SERIOUSLY BEWARE. This company is awful. There were a number of things that happened so let me get into detail. When I first got set up with Xfiniti I opted in for self installation; when the package arrived I started the process and wasn't getting a signal so I called in for help. I was told by some women from customer service that I shouldn't get self-installation if I didn't know what I was doing. Mind you, I followed all of the directions and it's a pretty simple process. She was extremely rude telling me that I was basically incompetent and would have to pay for an advisor to come in. I then got transferred to a nice gentleman that set me up with someone to come assess the problem free of charge. A few days later they arrived and it ended up being a cut wire in the back of my house that even with the right equipment I wouldn't be able to fix the problem. The I got a bill saying I owed $50 for having them come out. I called to dispute the payment and wasn't getting anywhere until I asked to shut off my services in which the representative quickly agreed I shouldn't of been billed because I was told I wouldn't be and knocked off the charges. The service was extremely slow the entire time I had Comcast and I usually stayed on Xfiniti's hot spot because of this. When I called in to explain that I was only getting service in my living room (mind you I live in a 735 sq. foot apartment) They tried selling me more equipment so I could get service throughout my house. I obviously declined. Later on I called in to cancel the service because it wasn't being used due to the lack of quality of the WiFi, low and behold I got another extremely rude customer service representative that informed me that if I canceled I would get charged fee's because I was in a commitment. I signed up with Xfiniti specifically because my area offer no commitment services. I explained this to her and she rudely stated that I was wrong and would still be charged. Once being transferred to a manager he informed that I was NOT in a commitment and I shouldn't of been told so. Sleezy tactic I guess. I canceled that day and returned my equipment to a local shop. I spoke with a Greg and informed him of why I was canceling. He was very sincere and apologized for the troubles. He told me that if I paid $50.00 that day he would wave all other charges. I agreed and said I wouldn't write the review I was talking about. A month later I got a bill in the mail so called Comcast again and was transferred to another rude representative and was told I had to pay the outstanding bill. I then spoke with a manager and was told that the account was at 0.00 and not to worry about it. Fast forward to present time I just recently got a collections notice in the mail! I've called Comcast and they have "nothing on file". So I am forced to pay something that I already settled and it is now on my credit. Over 8 years with this company, and I have had very mixed experiences. I have had very competent, considerate folks come to set up service, and have had very rude, incompetent folks come to set up service. Sometimes when I call to have an issue fixed or change my plan, I connect with a very helpful, competent person that gets the job done with 5 star efficiency. More often, I connect with a person on the phone that I have difficulty understanding... or even worse, can't understand me, my questions, or my issues. I VERY OFTEN find myself hanging up and calling back, hoping to connect with someone that speaks English well enough to be able to understand the questions I am asking them. When I have waited on hold for quite some time and connect with someone that cannot comprehend my questions, it gets tiresome and time-consuming. I am not quite sure how they expect to keep customers when the outsourced labor they have answering phones for them can't understand or comprehend customer questions. I absolutely dread having to call Comcast. 40% of the time, I get amazing service, the other 60% of the time, I want to pull my own hair out. Most recently, we have had trouble with a poor signal which results in programs relentlessly glitching visually and losing audio; mostly while trying to watch On Demand programs, but sometimes during scheduled programming as well. An installer was sent to streamline our installation as much as possible since it was done incorrectly the first time, but the problem is still a regular occurrence. Do NOT "sign" contracts with them over the phone unless you are recording the conversation. I have been lied to about contract details. I have also been lied to about premium channel promotions. When I am told I have been given HBO for 6 months, but it ends after 3 months, there is absolutely no proof of what the representative promised over the phone unless I have a personal recording of it. Their representatives experience no repercussions for lies told over the phone just to make sales, so download a phone call recording app and make good use of it if you decide to do business with them. read more

You call in to talk to a person and they say they have it all taken care of, then you flip on the tv and still no channels. Then you use the online chat and its like you are talking to a robot and they ask you the same questions over and over while pitching you prices that change with every sentence. If you can, avoid comcast at all costs and go with direct tv for your cable services. Unfortunately right now these idiots are the only ones that offer internet because they have a monopoly. I had 0 issues moving my service from the Springs to Denver in 2012, and 0 again when we moved to another apartment in Denver. But when we set about moving the service from Denver to our new home here in Colorado Springs it became a nightmare. First, they didn't find the transfer order on their system, so I had to go through the process of setting up transfer again. Because this was during the beginning of our normal billing period we ended up being charged for an additonal month at the apartment we had just vacated. **Let me note the following: After we finally got the transfer order processed, I had endured three days of calls and attempts at the self-installation process, but we couldn't get the service to come on at all. They sent a tech out to see what was going on and he basically had to 'flip a switch' as the house was wired for a dish system by the previous owners. This was not the fault of Comcast/Xfinity, but it does set the tone of frustration exhibited in the remainder of my story.** Then came the process of trying to go paperless and get us set up for online billing, etc, because I'd "had to start a new account for the new address", which was (/sarc) totes fun and convenient. Trying to log in to my online account several times using my normal log in wasn't working at all, so I got in online chat and was assured things were fixed - and they weren't. Then a phone call, assured it would be fixed in a day - nothing. This went on for 3 days. They finally got someone (a super) on the phone with a very frustrated Me. He was direct and honest and told me straight up that I could not use my personal email address to log in like I used to. I HAD to use the Comcast email address they gave with the account... Then I got mt first bill in the mail and they had my last name listed as "Denver", not my actual last name which they'd only heard about 200 times via phone calls and online chat sessions... It took another 2 conversations with 2 different reps to get my name corrected on my account, and it was the rep who spoke English clearly that actually fixed that problem. So tonight, here I am, a handful of months later just sitting here not thinking about this at all, enjoying the quiet, and I get a call from California around 9 PM. Don't call people at 9pm... A lady with an extremely thick accent speaking incredibly fast is on the other end. I make out the words "Xfinity" , "Amy Denver" and "questions". I asked, "You want to take a survey?" "Yes." she replied. I said, "No. Your company still can't even get my name right after all these months." Their surveys are probably conducted by an independent call center that Xfinity contracts. I get it. I'm tired of having my time wasted. Xfinity wants to know how reliable my connection is. It's great. Cheers. Good for you. BUT...Your customer service (the face of your company) is sloppy and unreliable. Through the entire process of setting up here I had to speak to several people in different departments and regurgitate the same thing over and over and over again. I got different answers from different people repeatedly. The language barrier I ran into created confusion. On top of that, when I would call to check status, many times there wouldn't be any notes in the system about my previous phone calls. They would say "I don't see any notes here about your transfer" or "I don't see an account associated with that number", etc. It's 2016 and they couldn't get customer contact information processed properly through a computerized system on a network after hours of interaction with said customer. I have had Comcast less than a month. We are already ready to leave. We have had nothing but issues with our services. Our initial setup was done by someone who didn't know what the heck they were doing. We later found out that it was outsourced to another company. Then a week later our neighbors got Comcast. The person installing their services unplugged ours, and it took several days for someone to come and reconnect ours back. Plus, there is a 20 foot cord running through 3 of my neighbors yards plus mine from their service. That know one seems to care about. But lucky for us we have taken pictures. .. Now, our first months bill is completely wrong. They have overcharged us, plus added another month to it, to be ahead. We are leaving Comcast. I'd rather pay more and go somewhere else.. Buyer BEWARE! Please choose another service provider. We have xfinity because it is the ONLY option in our area. I have purchased starlink and should be able to get rid of xfinity by mid-june. The customer service is truly terrible. The devices are unreliable and the amount of time it takes to get a tech out (assuming 1 tech is knowledgeable enough to fix the problem) is extraordinary. Did you know that your security system will NOT work in a power outage? Or that your phone will not work in inclimate weather? How safe will you feel spending 250$ a month on a security system and phone that will not work in an emergency? So you call to have it fixed, there is no fix. This is just the way the system is designed. I can not tell you how much I hate xfinity customer service. They will just pass you around from person to person. Worst service in Colorado Springs. I pay for 1000Mbps down and have never received more than 640Mbps. There are multiple days when the speed drops below 100Mbps. On 10/14/2020 we had an outage that lasted more than 5 hours and after it came back up, my service has ben less than 40Mbps down. Then on 10/15/2020, service dropped again all together and after restarting my modem twice and powering it completely off the third time, it still didn't come up. Then I had to talk to their customer service and the automated system that forces you back through all of the same steps yet again. After tech support performed an over the air reset, it finally came up at 475Mbps down. Less than half for what I've been paying for. Then their outsourced customer support has to explain everything in way too much detail. After an hour on the phone, I had to go around and reconnect 19 different devices to my wifi. I'll be finding a new service provider, anyone has got to be better than Xfinity. read more

I made a payment using my debit card. The payment was taken Tuesday still come Sunday it's not cleared on my account and they're now wanting a second payment but can't tell me where the first went. As a single mother my money is extremely valuable to me and the lack of empathy and accountability was astonishing. I haven't had problems with the company in the past but after today and dealing with the representatives of the company I won't be back again. I work in customer service have for the past 15 years. It takes nothing to express empathy literally nothing. It takes nothing to leg the customer know they're being transferred but was that care taken. I was very specific, in the simple request that I get paper billing for my account and know for a fact that when I set up my account, that I gave them and watched him type in my billing address. I later found a charge on my credit card, without ever getting a bill via the mail, this was infuriating. When I went to call to talk to a real person, the automated system, is a vicious loop of annoying circles, that was very cumbersome to navigate in order to finally talk to a real live human being. The system made repeated excuses about covid as to why they now have even worse customer service than b4. I ordered a phone on Jul 23 and paid in full over the phone. Received all the confirmation emails including one stating it had arrived. However it did not. It was still at fedex and after 10 calls and nearly 12 hours, they were finally able to put me in touch with someone who determined it was sent to another person with the same name but in a different city. The phone was returned by fedex to the shipper and they signed for it on Aug 2. On Aug 25, I still hadnt received a refund. Another 5 calls and 3 hours, no resolution. They fail to accept responsibility for adding a phone to the wrong account and expect me to contact this other random person to get permission to refund the money. Then I was told to dispute the charge with my credit card. Meanwhile, they have and get to keep the money - It cleared my account on July 25th. On July 5th technician Russell came back out to finish up after other main work had to be completed by a different crew, because of squirrel damage. Both times he was here he was very pleasant and helpful. He did a great job making sure everything was working properly! I appreciated his help very much. Russell gets the 5 stars, and hopefully comcast can fix the other problem I'm having accessing my recordings on the cloud that didn't transfer over to the new DVR. Won't let me do a 2nd review. July 18 technician Duncan came out to address the DVR cloud issue. This is a first time issue that any of them have ever encountered, and Duncan was very pleasant and helpful. Not to mention patient, because he was on the phone with tech forever trying to get this situation figured out. Everyone who was a part of this service call today worked very hard on this to get it straightened out. I appreciate this type of service and dedication to making things right, even when it's an unforeseen issue. Great job! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would! I had an appointment today to have internet service installed between 9 and 11. I received a text around 8:30 saying that the technician had arrived, but immediately after received another saying that my appointment had been rescheduled for tomorrow morning. I understand that coronavirus has turned everything upside down, but all the tech had to do was connect the drop at the side of my building and drop a box at my door. Of course I called the customer service number and they were absolutely no help. When I called the number listed for the local store, I got the same call center.
