@Xfinity is a horrible company! I would leave a minus 10 stars if I could. We have been customers since the inception when it was known as @Home.... 37 years! Every year their prices have gone up and up and I had to call and beg for some consideration for lower prices. Every year they gave me perhaps a $20 reduction....maybe! And they made sure to lock me in to a 1 year contract. This year their triple-play (phone, TV, internet) has skyrocketed to almost $260/month with a 1 year lock-in. Dutifully I called again. The savings this year? $0.72. Yes, you read that correctly. A whopping seventy-two cents a month. I cancelled the phone and TV and kept wifi until I can get a decent price to sign up with another provider, likely Starlink. I requested 1,000 megabytes and was told that would cost $120/month for 5 years with no contract. WOW, I should be grateful, eh? I balked so I was told I could have 600 megabytes for $89/month for 5 years, no contract lock-ins. Not happy, but I took it. NOW - I got my new bill and the changes were not reflected. I called billing to complain that I do not expect to have a past due amount after paying the $89 early. After 3 calls I finally was connected to someone who told me my account was up to date, BUT (wait for it) she was authorized to give me 1,000 megabytes for $76/month for 5 years, no contract AND now I can have Peacock Premium streaming, too, all for that same $76. I was stunned. Why wasn't I offered that when I first called? She said it was a 'new promotion.' Yeeeeaaaaahh, right. And I could further lower my monthly pmt if I combine it with bring cell phones to them and have a monthly auto-pmt right out of my checking account. I wouldn't have to worry about a thing! NYET! Today I get a promo call from (701) 787-1190 to offer me a great package of savings on triple-play for being such a long-time and loyal customer. Receiving that call was so infuriating I didn't bother to listen to flunkie-man's pitch. This company is totally disgusting! @Xfinity - here's some advice. The manager and a short lady do not know what they're doing. We have done number swap before in store and they're saying that they dont do it in store. If we knew what xfinity does not offer we wouldve stayed with our old carrier. Consider this as a warning to all potential customers. Also in order for us to do more complicated things, everything has to be done through customer service. If its after hours be ready to chat for at least 4 hrs, on top of the conversations being dropped and getting picked up by another rep so basically starting all over. I went through that for 5 hrs. Totally agree with other comments regarding their customer service which does not exist. This is not about this particular Xfinity store, but Xfinity Internet service and its customer service in general. I would not do business with this company again. Every 2 years they raised the plan price almost 50%. I understand they do business to make profit. It is their customer service that would drive you crazy. (1) Online user account - VERY SLOW response and ancient user interface. If you don't have high blood pressure, you will by using their online system. (2) Their automated phone system is designed to reject callers. For issues not on their phone menu or not understood by their system, the system will disconnect the callers instead of routing it to real agents. I called to resolve an urgent issue and needed to talk to an agent. The automated system had about 3 limited options. Anything beyond that the system disconnected the calls. I tried 5 times and could not get to a real person. Why do I need to speak to a real person right away ? That's because (3) Their agents cannot do their jobs right first time. I called earlier to have service disconnected at the end of the billing cycle (A LOT OF WORK! Over an hour of work). I made it very clear it is at the end of the billing cycle I would like the service be terminated, not right away. The agent even repeated the date for termination. Yet after I hung up the phone, I got an email saying the internet service will be disconnected today. It took many phone calls and over an hour to get a real person to disconnect service in the beginning. I thought it was done. Nope, they created this urgency that I had to call again so I won't lose internet immediately. Try and try.. Finally I got a real person after 6 phone calls. Terrible customer service. They only wanted to sell you more things. Stay away from this company if you can. read more

Nothing but trouble with this company! I called on Dec. 19th to lower my bill. We came to an agreement and I was happy. I logged into the app on Jan 15th, there was no balance due, odd but ok. I logged back in the other day and my balance was $532.01. Way over the new contract amount. I called and spoke to an incompetent customer service person whom gave me a sob story about not being able to help me until Monday. Another waste of a 30 minute phone call. I call today, Monday to get transferred over and over to find out the Dec.19th transaction never went through. The customer service with this company sucks! I have an Xfinity internet account, but I'm on my brother's family plan for my cell phone service. I needed a receipt for the cell phone service with my name and phone number on it for a reimbursement. I brought my phone in, and showed them my ID that matches the phone number. A picture of the screen with just my information on it was possible - I've taken a picture of it at other stores for the same purpose. Jacob refused to assist me. read more

I came in for a simple xFi Gateway replacement and the guy who helped me told me that my promotional plan was going to end in a few days. I told him that I'd have to discuss these plans with my wife before changing plans. So, as soon as I left the store, I called customer service and they told me that I still had a whole year left with the plan. He was trying to sell me a plan that would add to my monthly bill another $30 for the same plan. So basically whoever tried telling me to switch plans, YOU ARE A BOLD-FACE LIAR. I paid off the full payment for the device and i asked to unlock my phone September 12 2023 and they did not unlock the device yet and is May 1 2024. I've been reaching out via call, live chat agent and even talked to 2 Supervisors They come up with ridiculous excuses every time, keeping me waiting on the chat and calls for more then 2 hours, and haven't solved yet. There is always an "outage" causing a service interruption. I have no services for 8 hours with a green light flashing on the cable tower that is letting off too much heat. That 1 little box is so hot. It might catch fire, but I can't turn it off & now I have two accounts.....you guys keep getting it wrong. Spent 3 hours in there trying to set up our phones, they had us get their motoG phone (even though we were bringing devices over) since their prompt was a free MotoG phone when opening up a line. So we did that, whatever, then we ended up leaving them cause their prices were astronomical for our devices! So we cancelled with them and they told us to return the MotoG. So we went today to return it and they are saying that because we didn't bring it back within 14 days, we have to buy the phone out right.... No one told us and it's been 15 days... no one told us about that 14 day rule. And with all the crap they have done to us and lied and hidden fees-I'm done. I went into the store and talked with the guy and a few minutes later he connected me with Wireless service. I took it home and connected everything. NOTHING WORKED! Hello, I have Xfinity cable, Internet and mobile service. For my cable bill, Xfinity has informed me I am past due for the billing period of December 3rd 2021 through January 2nd 2023. Today's date is December 30th 2021. How can a company bill you for devices you have not used yet and say that you are past due. I spoke to the representative who says that's how the company bills people and it's always been like that. Well that's not ok with me just because the company has been doing that for years. One star is more then generous for this company. I had got a little behind (like one month) so I made payment arrangements to pay full in less then 10 days. They accepted the payment and cut me off anyway. When I called to inquire a recording told me I must pay the past due before they'd discuss my past due. I hung on and finally got a person to find out they must outsource customer service to the New Delhi I couldn't understand one word. After that I wanted to talk about the ACP program where yet another thick accent told me my info must match AFTER I sent them a screenshot of my qualifying. Just closed my account with XFINITY for poor customer service. I hate play the billing / promo pricing game. When I signed up years ago it was one set price. 2 months ago, I received a bill for almost twice what I was paying. Called customer service and they said that plan is no longer available. Amazingly I was receiving emails for service plans cheaper and better than I was paying for as a longtime customer. They said I didn't qualify for those plans. Which tells me XFINITY could care less about long term customers and only want new customers they can lock into long term contracts. read more

Used to have AT&T service and swapped to Xfinity because it was a little less costly. At first, didn't have many issues but then I'd lose streaming service every couple minutes. Only way to reestablish connection was to hard reset modem or tv. This is quite annoying to do every few minutes for something as simple as Netflix. Started to try some different setups, like splitting the modem into 2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz and trying each one separately. Still continued to lose streaming every 5-10 minutes. Then doing some research, I discovered that Amazon streaming devices could cause some interference, so I removed every speaker and firestick device. Also disconnected every non-essential device off the network down to just the smart tv (newer Samsung). Still continued to lose service and it was extremely frustrating especially when you're trying to play a movie for a toddler and they get upset when the movie stops. So I finally ran out of ideas, and called Xfinity. A technician came and was very kind, no issues there. Even he was slightly baffled that the modem would drop signal either from the tv to the modem, modem to Xfinity, or both. He swapped out the unit and still continued to see issues. His determination was that it was my tv causing the problems and there was nothing wrong with Xfinity. So he left and now my quest was to research the tv and see if maybe it was due an upgrade to software and in fact, there was a recently released update. So, hopeful this would solve this frustrating issue, I got the tv dialed in to the latest software and it still kept dropping the internet. Almost on the verge of upgrading my tv, I had an idea. I could turn on my wireless phone hotspot and see if I could stream Netflix, Prime Video, or anything else without issues. Low and behold, streamed for hours on the tv without dropping signal once and the phone was placed right next to my modem just in case the question was asked if my modem was too far away from the tv. The modem is only about 20 feet away from the tv for reference. So a cell phone that is shooting a signal to a tower far away is more reliable than a modem that is hard wired to Comcast. Will be looking to dissolve my contract with Xfinity and will not recommend this to anyone unless you want to lose your sanity daily. read more

I wasn't going to put this on Yelp, but when I got up this morning. I went to set up paramount + on my xfinity DVR box only found I have to order a new box. Sounds easy right, NO it isn't. This started about a week in half ago when we thought we were having a problem with the xfinity wifi and box. My husband Grant and I went to the Xfinity store and found that our bill was going up without being told, which apparently companies do when you have contracted for so many months or years. I have an issue with that, but it is what it is. The gentleman at the Xfinity was really nice polite and set us up with a faster wifi box and new DVR. I got it set up with no problem. Wednesday 18, my husband was trying to look for Paramount + as it is extra charge and realizing we couldn't. As I looked at it, it said (We are one step closer to ordering and new box) WRONG! It would not let order the box. Tried calling the number the gentleman gave me when we were in the store. One answered the phone way to leave a message, so I went down there. Told another person what the problem was he gave me what he called an up grade. I was clear on what I wanted and needed. Got home and proceeded to set it up. They was an issue setting up so-called the number on the TV screen, and the gentleman helped, but we couldn't get it work. He scheduled someone to come out. I then tried putting the regular DVR back only to have an issue. At point I had been working it for 2 hours. So I decided to give the new box a second chance and somehow got it to work. Now, a reminder, this was an upgrade. In my opinion, it was a down grade. I lost the clock and space to record. 7 called later, explaining more than once to each person what is going on and each person for 25 to 45 minutes only to be told I can't help. Finally, someone understands what I wanted and he fixes it. This should be how a company works. I have someone coming Monday and box coming UPS, and I'm not sure if the box will be here before the person on Monday. Hello, I just switched to Xfinity Mobile and have to say I was very excited to see the amount of money I was going to save compared to the monthly $300.00 at Verizon. I decided to order an IPHONE (Im an android girl) and try it out. Well, I just couldn't do it. It took me 4 hours to just set it up. LOL so I decided since I was still in my 14 day exchange period I would exchange it for my go to Samsung and try out a new Samsung. Apparently customers are not allowed to call the stores anymore. I've been waiting for the S21 pink to come into stock. Today the website said it was back in stock. I utilized the chat feature and attempted to exchange it. The rep, who did not speak English advised me I had to wait until after the 14 days before I was able to exchange the device. I knew this wasn't true. The rep kept pushing to get an answer about waiting til after the 14 days. So after 1 hour 10 minutes of chat, and NOTHING, I called customer service. 2 1/2 hours later I was able to reach a rep, who again did not speak English. I explained I needed to EXCHANGE my device, I work from home, on my phone and was not able to utilize the functions of the IPHONE. I reiterated EXCHANGE several times. He processed it as a return/refund. Before receiving confirmation of the 'return' he processed it. Then told me I would receive a refund once the device was returned. I asked him about the Samsung, he said I couldn't get a new phone until the IPHONE was refunded, about a week. I asked him what he had done, I asked for an EXCHANGE. I loose money if I cant work and in turn you don't get paid. I cant work without a phone. He said there was nothing he could do. I could go to the store and make it quicker. I explained, I am disabled with no legs, my nurse does not come until next week, That is not an option. He said, "Sorry there's nothing I can do." I asked if he could contact the store to see if they have the Samsung in stock. He said no. I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor, who barely spoke English, said the same thing except told me to get a ride after I explained I do not drive without legs. I asked for someone above him. By now I am very much feeling angry and discriminated against. The rep above the supervisor told me he cancelled the return and (Aside from the rest of the story that all the reps said the same thing) I could go to all the stores and check if the Samsung was in stock at any of the stores. Again I explained my disability. He told me that was my only option. I asked if he was able to call the stores so I could exchange this in one trip, I do not have the capability to run around the city like others do. He said no the stores do not have phone numbers. I asked him what disabled people are supposed to do. He said to get to the stores. By now Im crying, I am so humiliated and being treated with such discrimination, these reps are not helpful to those that CANT run around for them to check stock. I have never felt so discriminated against since my accident. All I wanted to do was exchange my phone, which I thought I had the right to do. This transaction should not be this difficult and definitely not be this degrading. Ive been with Xfinity all my adult life for other services but Im unsure now because the policy's around treating customers with dignity and respect definitely do not attach to todays interactions. I should never leave a call crying and feeling humiliated. This is not the last of the reporting of this incident. This is a horrible horrible company. They claim to have best internet with high speed and prices and they don't. Our internet has been shutting off and on for the past few months. They have sent two technicians to come out within a few months of each other. They both put new wires up to fix the issue and the service still does not work. I was on the phone for two hours going back and forth with Representatives and nothing was solved. We will be taking our services to another company. read more
