The phone tree is ridiculously loaded with the most useless options and you cannot opt out and speak to a live person. If you do happen to talk to an agent all they want to do is upsell you. Excited to watch the final episode of the latest season of Love Island, my and I were highly disappointed when we received an error message on our Xfinity cable box. Thankfully, we have an Xfinity store in close proximity to our home; therefore, when my wife called Xfinity to do some troubleshooting, they advised us to bring the box and remote into the store. Upon arrival, we observed a very busy store with patrons receiving personalized customer service (the store is organized in a way in which staff do not have to stand stationary behind a counter). Once he finished serving an employee, a customer service representative by the name of Asiel summoned and greeted us. We handed over the defective hardware and Asiel informed us that we had the latest model; therefore, the replacement would be identical (unfortunately they were sold out of the 4k box that he tried to obtain for us). After providing us with the new box (plus an extra remote), he mentioned some potential savings that we could receive if we switched from T-Mobile to Xfinity wireless. Although it was a pretty good deal (Xfinity wireless uses Verizon's towers), it could not compete with our T-Mobile plan that includes free and discounted movie streaming platforms (i.e., Hulu, Apple TV, and Netflix). Once Xfinity Wireless develops a plan that includes movie streaming services (currently they only have Peacock), we will entertain the thought of switching over. Once we arrived at our home; we installed the new box, sat through a few system updates, and were able to resume Love Island...thank you Xfinity Elk Grove! read more

Went into get my number changed on my iphone and it took Junior (JR) forever to do this because he was adding an upgrade to my phone, charged me for a new phone and upgraded my account. When I received my bill I flipped because I never authorized any of this. Called Xfinity support and they took care of it. Came in to drop off my old moden after needing to update to a new one. I arrived on Sunday about 20 minutes to closing, and saw there was a number of customers being helped and several waiting for assistance befofe me. Hoping to still be helped I waited in line, and thankfully as closing hours arrived. Staff didn't turn the rest of the customers waiting away, and instead just locked the doors to not theily were closed amd would help the remaincustomers in the store. Once I arrived to the counter Celine helped me turn my old modem in, and was gracious enough to let me know that I qualified for a new internet rebate that would save me $10/mo and give me faster speed that I currently have. And would also lock in my savings for a longer period of time. And because I was already on auto-pay I got another rebate, so what started off as just turning in old modem. Turned into my leaving with saving $20/month on my internet service, also with a faster download speed. Overall: Great customer service l, and I appreciate the staff looking out for their customers, and helping them get a dmbetter deal to save money. read more

He was able to look up my account and see what I needed, and was so efficient in processing my order. It was much easier than what I went through with the service by phone. I came in to just do a Modem drop off to only get a receipt and the staff had everybody in line for 1 to 2 hours. No hello or welcome to our store. Just ignored people and the Wait was too long. My legs was hurting. The sales person Samuel heard me complaining. about the wait. He said to me, you can leave. I told him, I was not leaving I waited this long. I asked him if I can drop my Modem off and get a receipt for my Xfinity because the wait is too long. His response was no if you want a receipt you have to wait. It's actually impossible to reach a human when trying to cancel service from Xfinity. Their staff obviously didn't want to help so I kept getting charged hundreds a month for it. I would give them zero if I could. Run from here to another location. I was offered 1 year free mobile with an $8.00 monthly charge for the Galaxy A16 phone. Because I'm doing rideshare between jobs I would love to use a crappy phone and not my good one. I stop in today at approx. 12:30 asking to switch from Boost Mobile to Xfinity. They tell me that it will take approx. 1/2 hour to transfer the data from one phone to the other. I leave and go shopping. Upon my return I am told that I need to call Boost and get a transfer number. After a while I get the number and tell them what it is. 2 hours later I am still there waiting for them to switch the service! Are you kidding me? They were so nonchalant, typical 20-something I could care less attitude. 3 people told me that they had to call "Boost because they couldn't figure it out". Well you know what Junior? I could care less. They the switch the story to that "because this is an online phone they don't know what to do". Wait, what?! Isn't this what you do? I walked out. I was placed on a plan that she said the rep that would save me money but in the long run it cost me more. And when I would text her to fix it she said she would but then my bill would just keep fluctuating then she just stopped answering. Do your research, if you crave true high speed internet look around more. Bummed, I really wanted to like Xfinity. The product is just sub par, you pay 1000mbps for shared network speeds, during peak usage time in neighborhood my speeds averaged 1-300 mbps, most of the time 70-200 mbps. So I'm paying for 1k mbps download speed yet getting 10-30 percent of what I'm paying for, and I haven't even had it a year, and I'd say it has been down 5-7 times already. Just not great service overall for 80 bucks a month. read more

Employees need to be trained on what they can and cannot do. Went to return a phone I ordered online through xfinity mobile, was told I had to turn off find my iPhone, etc and that it would take an hour in store, but it's instant on your home WiFi. Yeah...sure. So convenient that it takes an hour when you close in an hour. Guy even asked his co worker who was scrolling reels on instagram/tiktok to confirm that. I get it, not the greatest job, been there, rather you just say it won't be done before you close. It was instant, but still pushed to comeback tomorrow as his manager can waive the restocking fee. Came back 2 days later, and only reason I put 2 stars is the lady here was confident and kind. Stated they can't do anything since it was ordered online and has to be done through the site and shipped back. At least she knew her stuff. Wish the last staff knew well...anything. Upon arriving, I was met by a greeting person and was told that they didn't have any pods in stock and that I should go to Delta Shores corporate store. This store said I would need to call in and have one mailed to me. After calling, the phone team said they didn't have any pods and that I would need to work with another team member. My wifi router is almost 6 years old, has been slowing down, routinely stops and on the fritz. I walked into Xfinity to discuss my problem. I didn't bring the old equipment with me. I anticipated some pushback and sales pitches followed by renegotiating my package and equipment. Jose welcomed me (and my mother) and greeted us in a cordial, professional and "how may I help you" manner. He told us he'd be with us as soon as a computer freed up; we waited maybe 10 minutes. When it was available he asked to come to the front counter, listened to my concerns then promptly told us my router was two released / generations ago/old and outdated. He got a new one out, showed me the new plugs and connections as they were different from the old one and explained what I needed to do. Throughout the contact he was a breath of fresh air, so friendly, go get em and helpful. He represented the Xfinity Comcast brand well. Especially if you do decide to get help from Heather. When my husband and I walked in, and asked questions, she was constantly on her phone. Never really addressed our concerns, and she sounded bothered like we were bothering her. She also gave us attitude when we tried to ask her more questions and a better understanding of other deals or promotions that were available. I was there ahead of my appointment time and walked in to see a single line. Approaching the only employee on the floor, I informed him I was there for an appointment. Customer service is horrible, the employees are not knowledgeable at all. They tell you they've fixed your issue when all they are trying to do is get you out of the store. They have no authority to fix anything, all they do is open an ECM ticket and tell you they have at least 20 days to get to it then an unspecified amount of time to work on the issue. Despite our frustrating experience with the Xfinity store at the Delta Shores location, we decided to give it one more go by visiting this Elk Grove store. All we wanted to do is renew our service after our 2 year contract was ending, and get help by possibly decreasing the bill to a more financially manageable monthly fee. We walked in a bit stern and grumpy with very low expectations, but instead, received actual concerned, helpful and friendly service! The handsome and personable man of the day is named Shaq! He was very patient with us, as he spent quality time going over all of our fees. He made useful suggestions and even reverted my old telephone land line, (which we were about to discontinue), and offered their new promotional Motorola cell phone as a free addition to our service! Now, I can still keep my home phone number and get a cell phone in it's place for free! Minus the previous land line charges! We also decided to lose Netflix (for now), but gained HBO Max instead, which was also included in our new lower rates! We lowered the monthly bill by about $40.00! Yes, it's the usual committed 2 year contract, but the financial budgeting is greatly appreciated! By the way, I am enjoying all the features that my Motorola One 5G Ace has to offer! Took me a little time to learn how to use it, but it really does the job. Especially blocking all the spam calls without disturbing me! This current experience gave us renewed faith that Xfinity does have quality staff within their corporation! Thank you again Shaq!! My contract is about to end. I chatted with their agent, and he promised to extend my contract at the same price for another 12 months. However, I didn't see the update on my account, so I called them to confirm the extended contract. They said no extension for the contract at all. They just offered a higher price for the month, and I talked to about 5 or 6 of their agents; everyone said a different price. These guys are very tricky, and they only cared about how to sell it for a higher price. Don't believe what they said before any signed paper. read more
