Worst cable company, even worse than Suddenlink and that's saying something. How hard is it to hookup cable and internet? I've had them for 2 weeks already and still they have not gotten it right. I've called them more than I've called my mom. They put me on hold and then hang up. I've gone through 3 cable boxes, 2 cable modems. The technician was supposed to show last week and didn't. This REVIEW IS STRICTLY FOR XFINITY MOBILE . I decided to try this service out in 10/2017. It started out smooth. But things became real when my phone recently stopped working. I thought it just wasn't charged. Placed It on charger two hours and when it turned on it only showed the Apple sign. So I thought ok well I'll just upgrade and buy a new phone. After I took it to Apple and they stated there was nothing they could/would do. But see I dropped ball with insurance so I decided you have two months left on paying phone off pay off early and upgrade. Sounds easy enough right? Well not so much I go to Xfinity on Voss to find out that instead of allowing me to upgrade, Xfinity is requiring me too buy a new phone out right ($749) I'm like what when I got this phone I was able to make payments and I paid each month on time. But now when I'm really in bind. I got to fork out 749.00 Reallly? There like yes. So I'm like No!!! So I take my Sim card out and borrow a phone from a friend, but the phone won't work because it wasn't a phone that they sell , if it's not a Samsung or. iPhone people, putting your sim card in another phone will not help you. They (xfinity) will not configure a non xfinity product that they don't sell. I was out of a phone for 4 whole days I had to pay someone. To fix my phone. They didn't care I was out of phone and that I had just paid off a 799.00 phone all they care about is there bottom line. Not the customer . No I wouldn't recommend this cell service to anyone. They have no knowledge of their consumers necessity for the product they are selling. They seemingly only Care about there bottom line making more money!! Learned; Make sure to get the Insurance Don't expect them to attempt to fix anything There is no credit earned for paying your bill on time monthly. They will treat you like you haven't paid your bill for two years on time & expect you to pull $799 out your ass to buy a new phone. Rather than use your payment history as your credit reference they will USE the trial & and tribulations of your credit, ( "soft pull") as a reason to deny you! This could've been easily resolved by using my payment history as my credit for a new phone. Even better xfinity could've configured the phone I borrowed to service me until I figured out how to get a new phone or got the phone fixed. (Lack of customer service, thoughtfulness of client) I got the phone fixed, but I had 85 text messages from advisors(uhd) and friends. read more

Every time you go online to chat it's always a rep by the name of Chris, no other name, always Chris. He knows nothing of their services and when I call they cannot explain the one time fees that are recurring on my bill. All I wanted was to upgrade to a better plan but the plans that I saw with my own eyes and have printed out are not showing online. I gripe about it on Twitter and someone contacted me and when I explained this very situation they never responded. I don't know why I expected anything different. In the past, I have had real problems with every aspect of Comcast/xfinity.. Paying my bill every month was a very complicated process and my cable and Internet boxes would always fail.. Dealing with someone from India to help was also a very negative experience.. But I must say that they have changed in a major way, focusing on the customer rather then profits... I know Comcast gets a lot of bad reviews. My experience was quite good. The install was on time. The employee was professional and took the time to set everything up correctly. We just have Internet, but it came with free basic cable. He set it up in an office. We received reminder calls. The only reason it is not a 5 star rating is due to monthly cost of the service. read more

I am ok with the Comcast people on the 800 line (I give them a C), but hate going to the store at Voss (I give them a F), I am not sure who the manager is at this time, but the attitude, arrogance and poor customer service has not changed since last year. I have gotten better service from a Taco joint on Navigation (and the lady barely spoke english) Is there anyone at Comcast listening? Is the management looking at anything? They need to fire Michelle at this store. She was there at 8/212/2017 around 11 AM. She is tall, skinny and african american. This woman has no customer service attitude or skills. This store is a constant disappointment in the way they show customer appreciation. I am not sure why the arrogance is pervasive at this store. They need to understand what is good or better customer service. Management change is sorely needed at this store I talked to a young woman who would match Michelle's description at Taco Cabana soon after I left. The young lady at Taco Cabana was professional and competent. Funny thing is that she said she had the same problem with Michelle earlier in the day. My cable box crapped out. Instead of venturing out to the 290 location again, I decided to give this store a chance. I prefer the ticketing system. There's no cutting or cheating. Wait your turn people. Also, there are good stores in the shopping center where it is located at. Not sure what the bad reviews are all about! I walked in and the store seemed busy with lots of customers! An employee quickly checked me in and added my name to a list. There are large monitors with the wait list and there is a huge flat screen with a movie playing to pass the time. My name was called after about 3 mins and a nice young lady took care of me quickly. We are transferring our service to a new state. Only suggestion would be to get a bigger store with more seating as this is centrally located and everyone has to come here for cable service. Horrible from start to finish, from tracking mud all over my new house, to leaving without providing cable to any rooms that needed it, to coming out unannounced at unscheduled times to "fix." Called customer service who said first available appointment on Thursday,(today is Monday) since I didn't want to wait that long I braved the storm to go to the store that would be open late but was still going to open. Only to sit there for 30 minutes seeing them set up and for 12pm to hit and someone come post a note in the window saying they are closed today due to weather. REALLY? Comcast Customer service comes through again. 10 days intermittently of no sound on both boxes they've awarded me $6.25 for my inconvenience and will charge me shipping to ship me the new box. I am stuck with Comcast due to my apartment complexes agreement with them. Do not pick Comcast if you have an option, the services is poor, but customer service is worse. They are priced around the same as the other options in this area, but please do not support this company. You will thank me I'm sure. They only want to give credits out after the problem is fixed by the way. This is so they can fix it and probably prevent you from calling in as this last call took 44 minutes out of my sunday. COMCAST IS THE WORST COMPANY POSSIBLE! I was told that I would have internet on Monday. I placed an order for a modem and box. I am still charged for both. Monday-only box showed up. Rep said it would be Friday until tech came so advised to go buy a modem to fix quickly. Tuesday- I bought modem. Rep said need another modem model. Bought another modem model. It did not work. Summary - Cable TV comes as advertised - Internet Service does not deliver - cable service has limited bandwidth and you are effectively crowd-throttled Constant internet connection service being unavailable. Spent hours on the phone with techs trying to get the service running, mostly a waste of time. Even paid several hundred dollars for a tech to come out and replace cables. Kept telling me its my problem. The secret to the problem is that Xfinity internet service is cable based. Yes, you can get incredibly fast speeds as advertised. However, the cable node is limited on bandwidth. So, if you have a number of users in your area, your are likely to get no signal because the bandwidth is used up. (Makes no difference how many times they lead you through a modem reset, internet only comes back when usage goes down.) I'm right next to BP on the west side. I get no internet service during the day. Xfinity won't tell you this, can't fix it without expanding/improving the cable system, and they are not going to spend the money to do it. Long and short, you will pay a lot, but only get internet service half the time. (Which doesn't bother them, because they rather you buy cable from them than let you watch Netflix.) read more

The people working at the store and the actual store manager go above and beyond their job. They try to make everything work and make sure that you are satisfied with the service. However the service and customer service you get once you have the system is horrible because the people on the phone and sales staff don't care. The person that I had spoke to when I was first shopping for cable services promised me so many things and none of them were delivered I had this service for less than a week and canceled because AT&T was way better. The good thing is that once I went to this particular store they saw that the issue was very bad and under the 30day money back guarantee I was not charged. Comcast stands up to their reputation of horrible customer service. We have had service with them for our business for about 3 months now and have had interruptions no less than (4) times. Anytime I attempt to call and speak with a rep I would wait on hold forever, just to be given a canned answer. Today I got fed up when my service interrupted during an important video conference I was holding, and decided to cancel our service. I called in do so and was informed, in a very rude tone, by a Comcast Rep "in order to cancel you will need to sign a voluntary cancellation contract and provide a 60 day cancellation notice". I thought this was odd, so I asked to speak with a supervisor. The rep refused to transfer me. Stating, "you can speak with the CEO of Comcast and it isn't going to change anything". I again insisted and she said "if you ask again I will have to terminate the call". She did terminate the call. I will never use Comcast again. Ancient technology. Awful customer service. Customer service reps on the phone are incapable and rude. Installation technicians are hit and miss as to level of knowledge or desire to actually get your service installed. Guaranteed it will take more than one visit to get your requested service installed. Plus their technology is ancient. The cable box is HUGE. They do not have wireless capability for cable boxes. Seriously!?!? Make sure to have an electrician or handy man to install cable & phone outlets where you want them before the Comcast technician arrives. They will only place boxes where there are outlets immediately present. Their wi if modem does not allow you to select passwords - so they give you a 20 digit / letter password. The only reason why I chose them is they were the "free" service in my townhouse complex. It is time for texans to demand that the state public utilities commission open up unlimited cable / phone providers everywhere to everyone in the state. . If you don't know what I mean the Texas PUC limits the number of cable & phone providers in different geographic areas of the state. So the public is limited as to choices and competition is limited. So if you have crappy service providers in your area, your are stuck with them. The PUC does take complaints seriously, so if you are inclined, write a letter and complain about the poor service and demand that they allow other service providers in your area. Get your neighbors to do the same. Verizon FiOs is the best bundled phone, internet, mobile service I have experienced. It is tough to get set up when it is new in an area, but once it is set up it works like a dream. Plus their on demand movie selection is so much better than all the other providers including satellite. Comcast - awful! read more
