The food was fine overall, but there's nothing particularly special about this place in my opinion. There are other Chinese restaurants in the area that offer similar dishes for a cheaper price and with better flavor. I did really enjoy the chicken plate with wide noodles -- the texture and seasoning were great. The beef hamburger, however, was very dry, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you prefer a dry, dense bread texture. Service was fast, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The atmosphere is clean, but one thing that stood out is the lack of background music. When the restaurant gets quiet, it creates an awkward silence and you can easily overhear other people's conversations.

We came in for dinner for their soft opening. The place got busy after we arrived, so we lucked out. They have a QR code for you to place your food order in, which made it convenient. The only challenge was that a majority of the items were listed in Chinese and the pictures were not updated yet (I am assuming it will get updated soon). We ordered a few items to share - Cold Noodles, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, QiShan Noodle, Hometown style Rouburger, Hot Sour Cabbage, and jinggao (a sticky rice type dessert). The food came out pretty quick. I would say that most of the items ordered were well prepared and more unique dishes to me. The cold noodles were not your typical noodles. They were more of a translucent wheat starch Noodle type mixed well with like a chili oil type sauce. This seemed to be a popular dish among the people dining there. The braised beef noodle soup was good as both the noodles and soup were fresh. The Noodle Soup also had pieces of tofu in there and I think small pieces of potatoes. The Hot Sour Cabbage was a well prepared stir fried veggie dish. The QiShan noodles came with noodles on the side with the meat and sauce in another dish for you to mix together. Overall, it was a pleasant meal and I look forward to coming back again (hopefully they will get the menu and payment stuff updated)

We got there close to noon and surprised it was full already. Seemed to only have roughly 12 tables so it can become quite a wait if arriving at a bad time. It was the noon rush as half the restaurant seemed to just had down waiting for food. If you're waiting to be sat, theres a notepad near the door where you "sign in" for the waitlist. We wrote it and just waited inside. They only had 2 workers that did everything up front and with that rush everything did seem a bit chaotic and unorganized. Food constantly coming out needing to be ran or people ordering take out and bagging them up. They seemed to prioritize ToGo orders as the handful of folks I saw got them pretty fast compared to dine in. Service will lack a bit during rush hour so keep that in mind. Once they seemed to catch a break and not so overwhlemed, they started cleaning tables that left. Got sat 30 mins after. Was able to see proper service after that. They did great for just 2 people but definitely need more support when it gets busy. Food was delicious! We got beef fried rice, braised beef noodle? and the special hot oil noodle woth pork and veggies. The menu via the QR code, only half the menu had photos, so with no other photos and description of food item, it was a bit challenging . Milpitas, CA has a location if you need to look them up to see photos of food items. Braised beef noodle was not the typical braised beef noodle im used to, unless i ordered the wrong item( didnt get reciept or checked ), but it was still good. I came mainly for the wide noodles in the hot oil noodle which was not a disappointment. Pork belly pieces with what seemed like diced potatoes, beansprout, Woodward and other veggies that complimented the sauce well. The noodles were pretty wide but they were so soft and delicious.

This is authentic Xi'an cuisine; if you enjoy Northern-style Chinese food, this is a great choice. The portion sizes are generous, too.

Typically at most Chinese restaurants, especially fried dishes, you'll see a pool of oil at the bottom of the dish. This is not the case here, and their sauces also keep their oil usage to the minimum. The food doesn't feel as heavy, and they nail most of their Szechuan flavors well. Their service is always fast and friendly. There is a gentleman in glasses that is always happy to serve and answer your questions. He is always happy to pack your food for you to go if you have leftovers as well, which is a lovely gesture. They have very cute decorations inside, from lucky cats with fortune cookies in their mouths, or a painted wall with a Panda cooking delicious food. I'd steer clear from their soup dishes, most of them lack flavor. I highly recommend their Chopped Pepper Fish and their Jade Tofu items though. Very flavorful and not very heavy! Plenty of parking is available which is lovely for eating in Portland, do not let this spot be missed if you've never tried it!

There are booths where you order food to come cooked, and then the hot pot tables where you order the ingredients and cook them yourself. It's very interactive, and they have plenty of meats, vegetables, tofu, dumplings and noodles. You can choose the broth you want at the beginning and they'll bring out the pot. Each pot is split in 2, so you order one regular broth and then a spicy broth. They also have a veggie broth, which I really enjoy. You can grab things from the salad bar, and they have different sauces/oils you can take and add to your soup. You're able to really customize the experience. It's a fun little experiment you get to do with your friends and family. The space itself is busy with customers walking around and staff brining drinks and food, but it's not crazy. We joke that the steam from the soup is a nice facial treatment. Lol. You can end the night with an ice cream cone and lollipop in the waiting room. I've been a few times, and I will say the first time is overwhelming with trying to figure out what to do, but after that you get more confident and interested in curating a soup that's to your taste.

Once we were seated though, things went downhill. Only one person out of our four person table had done hot pot before, the rest of us were clueless. The server didn't bother to ask if we understood how to order and were super unhelpful every time we asked a question, kind of waving us off. Apparently you place an order and have to wait 20 minutes before you can place another order? What? I've been to kbbq plenty of times and have never been met with this delay. We got their original soup base and curry base. Both were mid. Not very flavorful until the very very end when we had finished cooking and were ready to leave. Maybe eating boiled meat just isn't for me, but I feel like everything was pretty bland and tasteless. The best part of the meal was the ice cream we grabbed on the way out imo. They gave us $20 off coupons randomly, said we couldn't use them that night. Probably a ploy to get us to go back, but not even with a discount like that would I go back. Straight to the trash. Save yourself and go to kbbq or the Asian buffet that's 10 min away. Disappointing night out with the fam.
