This place is a gem and I'm so stoked that fort Walton now has a good "more traditional Chinese than American Chinese" spot. If you're looking for the flavor that only comes from a really hot wok done the right way, this is the place. The stir fried dishes: chow fun, crystal vermicelli, and 'Mongolian blaze' were truly exceptional. The general tso's was the best I've tried in the fwb area, so if you aren't feeling adventurous and want some classic American Chinese you won't regret it. The spring rolls, krab rangoons, and the cucumber salad were all great appetizers. The curries were good but not incredible. Overall i'm so stoked to have a consistently delicious Chinese spot in fort Walton. I'm excited to try out more of their menu as time goes on. read more

Driving through Fort Walton at lunch, I spotted Xian Noodle Place and hoped for authentic Chinese food. The restaurant was clean, colorful, and the staff welcoming. The menu offered a great mix of authentic dishes (rare in a smaller city) alongside Americanized and Thai options--far better than the typical 90% Americanized Chinese spots elsewhere. I tried the Beijing Style Pot Stickers: flavorful filling, though the wrappers were a bit thin and not handmade. My main dish was the Pick 2 Platter with Braised Duck and Honey BBQ Pork, served with perfect cooked rice, steamed bok choy, and half a braised egg. Both meats were moist, delicious, and perfectly seasoned with five spice. Looking forward to returning for trying authentic dishes like the Hainanese Chicken Rice, Zha Jiang Noodles, clay pot dishes, and Xiao Long Bao. We had hopes for this place. But we were disappointed. We were guided here by 850 foodie. So we ordered; Duck boa buns- 2 stars; you get 2 buns with tiny pieces of duck, duck was way over cooked. Mine had a bone in it, hurt my tooth. Boa bun was good. Two meat platter -1 star; I got roasted duck and braised beef. Rice and bok choy were decent. Duck was way over cooked and 80% bone. The beef was over marinated, just left a salty lingering taste. Noodle dish - 1 star; noodles decent, meat over cooked, Sticky rice cake - 4 stars; this is why we gave 2 stars. This was actually really good. We probably will not eat here again. I would not recommend. read more

Solid choice for Chinese food. Sesame chicken was good. Orange chicken tasted very orangey, but it was good. Side note, the orange chicken takes longer than other dishes so keep that in mind if ordering. I would go back to this place! read more

This area is severely lacking in good Chinese/Asian fusion restaurants. The few we have are just the standard Westernized staples. Xian Noodle is the closest thing to home as far as varied options offered. I love their Szechuan Beef Dry Pot, Hainanese Chicken Rice and their platter options. I must admit that the Zha Jiang Noodles were disappointing and bland. Now, if they would have a full dim sum menu, Salt & Pepper Fried Cod and Peking Pork Chops everything would be golden. read more

we saw a good reviewer try this place and we really wanted to try this place out! we came in during lunch on a saturday and it was packed but we were able to get a seat within 5ish minutes. the restaurant gives homey local chinese mom and pop shop. the restaurant was quite warm in there as well. perhaps the a/c wasn't working but it wasn't unbearable. we ordered the xiao long bao for appetizer and they were delicious! the flavor was great. there was a good amount of broth but not as much as i'd like. for mains i got the 3 meat platter with roasted duck, grilled short rib, and pork knuckle. the beef was grilled perfectly and had a good marinade. it was super juicy and flavorful. the pork knuckle was fatty and gelatinous in a good way. and the roasted duck was the best part! super tender and juicy meat with that fatty and crispy skin. my wife got the mongolian beef and she enjoyed it as well. tender beef in a garlicky sauce. and for dessert we got the matcha cheesecake. it was good but didn't have that strong matcha flavor i'd like but still tasty. overall, we enjoyed our meal and thought everything was great. we'd definitely be back to try other items on the menu! read more

This authentic Chinese restaurant is new to Fort Walton Beach. It is second to the location in Pensacola (close to the mall) of the same name. We went on soft open day to enjoy some good food. The menu is expansive however, every dish is authentic and is different to any local takeout so be prepared for a tantalizing dining experience. The service was good and it was evident that the servers were familiar with the menu. The seating was more basic than I expected for dining in as I could tell there was a meager thin layer of cushioning in the booth seats. The FOOD was EXCELLENT and came out quickly. While we were there we observed a few takeaway delivery companies coming and going with food orders. The pickled cucumbers were delicious but in my non-Asian opinion not as appetizers as it is sold but paired well with all the entrees. The Mongolian glazed beef was phenomenal and the depth of flavors commendable. They have roasted DUCK!! They were purposeful with reminding us that the duck is served with bones and the beef short ribs - chefs kiss. Very pleased with this new addition to the local food options. Way overpriced, small portions, and bland food. I ordered three separate items, shumai which had the smallest shumai I had ever seen with abysmal meat to other filling ratio. A combination drunken noodle which they gave to me as chicken, and a shrimp dry pot. The shrimp dish had 7 shrimp total. Every dish was mediocre and under or unseasoned. I've had better Chinese food for 1/3 the price at far worse rated places. Panda has better quality and quantity Chinese food which is saying something. Avoid this place read more

They do take out better than they do in restaurant service. I've been several times and I've ordered delivery several times and I prefer delivery. Not sure where they get their service staff from but they are incredibly overbearing and intrusive. The portions seemed to be a little bit larger when you get them to go. read more

I keep coming back to this place. The braised duck soup, krab rangoons and the brown sugar boba are really good, that's actually what i get most times. The food comes out fast and the servers keep checking in on you. It's a calm spot and there is always plenty of people when I go. I would recommend this spot for a first date. read more

I got the Chong Qing Style Hot & Spicy Chicken. The plate I got was just dried up crispy pieces of chicken crumb. I asked my server if that's how the plate was supposed to look like and was told it was supposed to look like that. I looked at the picture on the Facebook page and my plate did not look like that.
