    Bento Box

I came in for dinner, and the restaurant was nearly empty, but there was a full counter of to go orders waiting to be picked up. It seems like this establishment thrives on orders from delivery services like Uber Eats and DoorDash. The server sat us at a booth and asked if we were ready to order, but we still needed to look at the menu to decide. I ordered a bento box and everything was tasted good, but there was nothing to write home about. My boyfriend got a beef noodle soup, and felt that the flavor was lacking. This establishment is decent if you need your quick fix of take out Asian food, but I would not recommend it for date night.

The hand pulled noodles are really yummy! I got the red braised beef soup - the portion was good and the beef was tender. When you enter the establishment, it looks kinda messy in the front like a local Chinese restaurant. But it's actually a chain so that threw me off a bit. You order at the table and pay up front. I only saw Hispanic workers, no Asian ones. I would come here for the food and the price, not so much for the experience. It's definitely on my list to come back for happy hour (until 7).

all day happy hours on weekends and generous portions. the hand pulled noodles were hearty and comforting, but i found the broth to be a little bland and the beef too tough and dry. my friends ordered the tonkotsu, dan dan noodle, and xian noodle and also felt that the taste was a little off. the menu has decent variety, but the food is just okay.

I ordered the Fried Rice Entree with no egg to make it vegan, and it was tasty! All day happy hour on the weekends, too. The decor is unassuming and is definitely a more casual vibe.

I was quite surprised to find a hand pulled noodle place in Mueller but it was a happy surprise. I brought my dad here, the noodle aficionado and he also just got back from China, and he even claimed that the Beef Hand-pulled Noodles were pretty decent. He noted they were missing the daikon radish, but the flavor and noodle were pretty good. I tried the sushi - also not bad. I got the Rock n' Roll, it was very filling. The combo of the roll was a nice balance of texture, I felt like it was missing a kick though. The service here was also good. Although we were confused because there was a qr code at each table to order from so that's how we ordered but later the waiter came by asking to take our order. Confusing. But anyways, good find!

This place is great if you want sushi without breaking the bank. Is it excellent quality? No. Will I return for happy hour anyway? Yes. Skip the spicy tuna/yellow tail rolls. They're a let down. We had the lobster dumplings which were tasty. The friend rice was also good. The prices remind me of the early 2000s and I'm here for it.

We came on a Friday evening around 8 PM--wasn't super busy. The space is smaller, but my party of five still sat comfortably. Would love to have given this restaurant five stars, however the service here was not very good. We were seated very quickly, but our table was not approached for almost ten minutes. Aside from our food being brought to us, we did not receive any attention whatsoever by a server--no one to ask us how we were enjoying our meal, no one to pick up our empty dishes to clear out the table, etc. it was very disappointing. The plus side was the food was wonderful. I had an Alaska Roll and the Tonkatsu Ramen. I loved both of my dishes. They tasted fresh, the pork in my ramen was so tender and the broth was so flavorful. I highly recommend it. The restaurant's all-day Happy Hour items are great--there are a variety of different sushi rolls listed at a very cheap price. Would definitely be back for the food, and hopefully those serving will be more attentive during the meal rather than just when we're getting ready to cash out.

This place is perfect for a quick, casual bite and offers fantastic deals. Even though it's always busy, we never have to wait for a table. The service is very efficient, and I love the excellent deals they offer! The sushi is fresh and delicious, and my partner can't get enough of the house-made noodles.

The sushi isn't very flavorful and lacks any big taste. I've gotten food twice and just think it's average.

The food was just OK! Portions were small for the price and not as flavorful as most authentic Chinese restaurants. I would not recommend.

Best hand pull noodles in town. The location on 51st seems to be better. Open one in Westlake area or downtown please.

Do they offer gluten free noodles (glass noodle) and the veggie or shrimp gluten free dumplings like the domain location?

The standout was the shrimp pancake that had a really great texture and flavor. The snow crab ball had a strange texture with shrimp surrounding the snow crab claw. The Chinese Sticky Rice is always a favorite. Also ordered the Truffle Egg Fried rice and Birds Nest with Seasonal Vegetable. The Truffle rice is so flavorful like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The Birds Nest is made with fried potato shreds which contain the a variety of vegetables including cauliflower, peppers, mushrooms and asparagus. The nest is also edible and has a crunchy texture. The chicken basil pot stickers and pork belly were good.. but a bit dry for my taste. However, the sauces they offer were all good. Martini was a jump scare in color but taste was on pointtt! Service was fine but we were out front on the patio and though our waiter was attentive while we ordered, we ended up finishing and waiting 40 minutes for someone to come by so we could grab the check. I ended up just heading inside and the maître d' was able to close us out. Tables around us were open so I'm not sure what had them held up, and it could've been a one off, but definitely not ideal at this price point.

Having grown up in a household where dumpling making and preparation were treated as a meditation…read moreon perfection, I've been incredibly pleased to see Austin seriously upping its dumpling game. While I've yet to find a Korean joint with a proper Korean mandoo on offer, Chinese varieties are thriving with the likes of Julie's Noodles, Steamies, Lin's and, the subject of my review, Dumpling World. Definitely don't expect ambiance here. After suffering the Triangle's persistent lack of parking, you'll walk into this place and find a really spare, almost utilitarian set up that screams "we mean business." They definitely mean business. I've probably been here a good 5-6 times, and have tried almost everything on the menu. Soup dumplings shine -- my daughter refuses to eat them anywhere else -- and their recently introduced thumb buns, which I think are fried mini soup dumplings, just ooze flavor. More traditional half-moon dumplings, no matter your filling of choice, steamed or fried, never disappoint. Don't ignore the non-dumpling items too. I don't know what the seasoning is in their green beans, but it's ridiculously delicious. You'll never look at green beans or haricot vert the same way ever again. Good, but unremarkable, are the soups and stews. Better to get those at other Chinese eateries. I don't mean to dissuade anyone from those, but did you really come to a place called Dumpling World to eat anything but dumplings? It gets crowded here at times so I recommend trying on a weekday evening. Uniformly, whether it's packed or slow, service is quick and courteous. With dumplings this good, it's clear that humility is one of the key ingredients to their consistency and quality.
