My son recommended i get a drink here on a hot day, and I got my Ube boba milk, no ice , less sugar in large size to share, it was delicious and all gone in no time. Servers were all behind the counter and very busy filling orders for people who ordered in the store, with apps, or called in? I stood on the order Pick-up line then asked a customer who directed me to the back of the store to the order counter. I guess the servers were okay, my order was taken efficiently, had to wait a while for my drink but not due to slow servers, they were very busy, the customers were helpful answering my questions. Loved the boba machine with a server making fresh boba, a form of entertainment! The store is small with 2-glass walls making it seem larger than it actually is. I do recommend drinks from this location, I'll stop by again too!
4.3 and rounded up! It's hard to say no here, because their bubbles are so good! As one of many bubble/boba (波霸奶茶) milk tea chains that have emigrated stateside from Taiwan (original birthplace of boba), Xing Fu Tang hails from has 5 locations in the New York boroughs area, 4 in Midtown and 1 in Flushing. Their signature fresh boba is what makes their bubble tea stand out from the rest--the "bubbles" are made from cassava starch otherwise known as tapioca pearls or balls--soaked then cooked and sweetened in a brown sugar syrup. Here they have a whole wok full of these, and they're super soft, incredibly chewy and bouncy, on the sweeter side compared to some other chains, but not too cloyingly so. Their menu consists of a number of a bubble tea and coffee drinks, mostly with milk though some without, you have an option of regular milk, lactaid milk (+$0.50) or oatmilk (+$1.00). Two sizes regular or large (+$2.00) and add-ins for +$0.50 more of the following: Brown Sugar Boba Strawberry Boba Taro Boba Honey Jelly Herbal Jelly Milk Foam Matcha Shot (+$1.00) I got their regular brown sugar boba and it was a treat! Like I mentioned above, the bubbles are sooo good! Prices are on the higher side $7.99 for a regular size, it made me really miss the days of $3.75 regular-sized drinks! After ordering it took about 7-8 minutes to be ready considering the store was really busy. Note: the brown sugar boba milk tea is where they line the cup with brown sugar syrup in addition to adding boba. Technically their standard boba milk tea is without the additional sugar syrup but since the boba are already cooked in brown sugar, there's no true option of getting unflavored boba without brown sugar. Like most boba stores in NYC, the shop isn't very big, just enough space for a small line to form for ordering and then waiting to pick up drinks. All customers are taking these to go, there's no room or seats to linger.
I visited this place three days in a row! Their bobas are made fresh and cooked with brown sugar, right by the store front so you can watch how they make them. The texture was right amount of chewy. I ordered their signature brown sugar milk, brown sugar milk tea and dalgona coffee boba milk. The brown sugar boba milk tea was my favorite. I'd love to keep going back but it's probably not good for my waistline and wallet. A small boba drink is $7.99 plus taxes!
Service was quick. Drink was made fresh. Super soft and warm boba with cold milk. I do wish it was mixed together better but the flavor and freshness was unmatched and absolutely amazing! Similar price as other bubble tea shops but so much better. Totally recommend! Only con is they don't do no ice unless you pay extra.
Been to all the locations besides flushing and finally had a chance to come by! I can finally say for boba (pearl drinks) this place makes the freshest ones to date. I'm still working my way down all the drinks on the menu, upon entering and ordering, the drinks came out pretty quick. today I got the Thai milk tea boba, a very refreshing taste, the right amount of sweetness with the chewy yet melt in mouth pearls go well in combination, worth trying.
This place used to have my heart, but not anymore. The staff really lack communication skills. I ordered chrysanthemum tea ahead through the FanTuan app for pickup, and when I arrived at the time the app said my order was ready, it still wasn't done. When it was finally finished, they didn't even bother to call my number--the drink just sat there on the counter waiting until I asked for it. This happened two days in a row. I understand the shop is bit busy, the line is long but with so many staff members around, you'd think they'd be more attentive. Instead, they seem more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. In NYC, everyone's time is valuable--please respect that.
I can't recall the last time I've tried Xing fu Tang but I do appreciate the lactaid option. Absolutely loved the brown sugar boba milk. It was delicious. No sugar options to choose from but it didn't seem too sweet. They offer a bag for easier transport which was convenient since I was leaving work. Looking forward to coming back and trying other menu options.
The oolong milk tea was delicious and fragrant. I typically do less sugar for sweetness level when I get boba, but for this shop I probably could have gone with regular sweetness and it'd be perfect. The boba was so soft and chewy and you could watch them prepare the pearls in front of you. Staff were super friendly in taking orders and though there was a line, our drinks were prepared quickly. Reasonable prices for the quality!
Hidden Gem Alert! This walk-in, walk-out bubble tea spot is a true hole-in-the-wall treasure. The Brown Sugar Boba Milk tastes like it was made with love. Simple, unassuming, and absolutely worth the stop.
I would give this place a 4.5/5 if possible! Xiang Fu Tang is very comparable to Tiger Sugar because it was so sweet that the milk tea tasted like it had brown sugar. The best part was how chewy the boba was. Overall, Xing Fu Tang is a great boba place!

I call upon bubble tea to summons comfort and healing. The only tea enticing my senses was Jasmine lemonade green tea with honeycomb $6.66. Xing Fu Tang have my default topping Chinese herbal grass jelly 涼粉 (loeng4 fan2, liang2 fen3) listed on their menu which lured my visit. My drink was full of lime, honey and herbal grass jelly. I actually taste honey and the flavor of jasmine. Customer service is attentive to explain the less sugar content. Do not expect there to be any seating. Napkins embedded with their name and logo for branding are available for grabs. The wall is adorned with Chinese hand calligraphy with the traditional red seal stamp - beautiful. As I waited for my order to be fulfilled I took one fortune. It is very easy to obtain. This Chinese fortune sticks (Kau chim 求籤) from flat sticks inscribed with text or numerals in a Buddhist temple. It evoke memories of my beloved family member who treks to a Buddhist temple obtaining annual fortunes for our family prior to Lunar New Year. Xing Fu Tang is located on Main Street and very assessable via MTA NYC Transit buses and 7 train in Flushing, Queens, NYC.
Came here more than a handful of times and finally got to try their signature- caramelized flamed-torched brown sugar bubble milk, it's like the Hermès of bubble tea, you can even get it topped with gold foil for $20 smh. I've tried a few of their fruit-based tea drinks and taro bubble milk- they were all pretty solid. This place is always busy from opening to close so expect to wait awhile- worth it tho. I can understand why my son & ppl love this place- it's that brown sugar bubble milk drink- sooo good!! Creamy, sweet, tapioca pearls were tasty and very filling too. Now everytime I'm in Flushing, I have to get it :)
This place is amazing and totally worth the hype! This is an open-kitchen type of shop where you get to see all the steps in making their delicious boba. First they roll out the large slab of tapioca, separate it out in small bobas, and then mix it with syrup and brown sugar. Finally, they pour in the drink and torch the top layer of cream and brown sugar. This process was very interesting, and it made the 35 minute wait go by quickly. You can definitely tell the difference between freshly-made boba and pre-made boba. Their boba is so warm and chewy all the way through. I love how they touch the brown sugar on top, which creates a caramelized layer that tastes similar to creme brûlée. I tried their most popular item, the Brown Sugar Boba Milk, as well as their Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Herbal Jelly. The first drink is much sweeter and has the caramelized layer which I enjoyed the most. The second drink was also very good. Next time, I will try the Matcha Boba Milk, but unfortunately it was sold out when I went. The service is also great. Everyone was very nice and polite even though they were really busy. It helps if you speak Chinese, but you can also just point at the menu. The price is a bit higher than the other shops around this area, but I still think it was worth it. read more
Over the last decade, we have seen insane amounts of bubble tea shops pop up all over NYC. Nowhere more so than Flushing, with popular franchises like Gong Cha, Coco, Vivi, Kung Fu, etc. dominating the landscape. As fast as one chain's popularity starts to fade, another two is eager to take its place. Now, on one of the busiest corners of Flushing, comes the most ambitious bubble tea shop of them all, Xing Fu Tang. It is an extremely popular brand from Taiwan with its first US location trying to break into this saturated market. Their specialty is the brown sugar milk that was started by a few other competitors like Yi Feng and Tiger Sugar. It is the hot craze right now and the long lines prove that there's certainly a market for the product. However, unlike those other shops, Xing Fu Tang is trying to deliver an overall experience that should set them apart. Instead of a tiny little storefront that focus on quick take out orders, this highly visible beverage shop, with over half a dozen servers, wants you to window shop a bit as you walk by their large glass panes, then come in for a drink and maybe find out something about your love life. Love life? Yes, it's all about the experience while you are waiting for your drink. With technology today, our attention spans have shrunk to nearly nothing. Their goal is to make it entertaining while you are in their store, even if it's for only five minutes. You can watch how they make a fresh batch of brown sugar tapioca pearls, or go to the back of the store and find out your luck with love using a fun traditional prayer method. As for the drinks, the two (Top Brown Sugar Boba Milk and Brown Sugar & Grass Jelly Boba Milk) I tried so far have been great. Less sugary compared to most. I'm looking forward to enjoying a few more varieties. They have some interesting ones for sure. Like I said, this is an ambitious undertaking, but I love the fact that someone was bold enough to say "So what?" I truly wish them the best of luck on this venture. read more
I got to try three different drinks here as they were having a media event day for their promotion of this new US flagship location. Love the story, love the concept, and how it uniquely stands out from the rest of the boba shops. What I love about this place is that they make their own tapioca balls so it's fresh and not frozen and reheated a bunch of times. It also has a lot less artificial chemicals compared what you normally get so it's a lot more healthier, but I'd still advise not consuming too many as they do take time to be digested by your digestive system. The balls are very soft and chewy. It's essentially the perfect texture for tapiocas. I was able to have this in two different drinks. Their best selling drink is their Top Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, which I enjoyed thoroughly. The tapioca balls are cooked in with the brown sugar, also all natural ingredients with no artificial additives or syrup, to give it its brown/black color. It is topped with milk from my favorite milk brand Horizon Milk and cream where they top it with brown sugar and creme brûlée style burn the top part of the drink. Definitely the best brown sugar milk tea drink I've had as it's just the right amount of sweetness, flavoring, and most importantly: the tapioca balls. I'd advise you not to spend the extra $3-4 on the gold foil as it does nothing for the drink besides showing that you got money to blow. The other two drinks I got to try included the Matcha Boba Milk Tea and the Damascus Rose Tea with Lime. I liked the Matcha Boba Milk because they put the natural tapioca balls in there which is a gum pink color. I stirred my drink to mix the matcha and milk together to get a better flavoring. I don't know if that fixes the problem for those who rated the drinks poorly on Yelp already that complained it didn't taste like matcha at all. The Damascus Rosa Tea on the other hand was okay. Maybe it is more of a summer drink, but I definitely was not feeling it. I definitely will not be back anytime soon as I'm going to assume there's going to be a crazy line out the door after they have their grand opening on Feb 2nd and it's going to be something like Tiger Sugar where it's a 60-90 minute wait. Hopefully they do well enough to expand into Manhattan so I won't have to make the trek. read more
I passed by here today and saw a sign for the oce cream, thought it sounded interesting and wanted to try it. Later on I got the brown sugar bubble tea and regular since i couldn't decide what i wanted. First world problems. Ice cream: the ice cream tasted like a brown sugar bubble tea, sweet but not too sweet. The bubbles were super fresy and really good. The ice cream was a really good soft serve ice cream. Brown sugar bubble milk tea: This was so good! Nice and sweet and creamy. Bubble milk tea: this was really good, it had a good strong tea flavor while at the same time being nice and creamy and sooo good. I felt like i died and went to heaven. I missed it soo much. Xing Fu Tang isn't like other bubble tea shops. The flagship "Top Brown Sugar Boba Milk" and the "Brown Sugar Boba and Herbal Jelly Milk" are both tasty, but are more similar to cereal milk than they are to conventional bubble tea. The boba are fresh and yummy but the drinks aren't cloying or excessively sweet, which is a nice change of pace. The Damascus Rose Tea with Lemons has a strong floral flavor (mildly amusing since "alpha male" is printed on the container) and the grapefruit green tea tastes tart and sweet. I can have a max of 1 Tiger Sugar before I need metformin; I don't feel guilty when drinking a cup (or two) of XFT. They have 12 options (4 milk, 6 tea, 1 milk tea, and 1 soda-based drink). They're located on a corner across from Starbucks, so you can gaze into the windows to see your brown sugar boba being made. The interior is clean and the bright white decor is nicely juxtaposed underneath the charcoal painted Gyu-Kaku to prime you for a pleasant and creamy treat. read more

Score! Finally able to land a cup of the gold foil drink. The first time I came the gold foil was out of stock. The second time I came by they had brought back the gold foil but it was limited to 90 cups a day. I was on line for it for half an hour before I was told it was sold out for the day. ("Sold out" was not marked on the menu by the door but was only marked on the menu by the cashier and I could not see it because there were a lot of people). The first time I came there wasn't a line out the door but there were a lot of people inside. The wait time to order was about 5 - 10 mins while the wait to pick up was close to 20 mins. But I do understand the wait as the boba is being made fresh. I was a little irritated at the person giving out the order as he called my number took my receipt before the drink was ready. And when it was ready (2mins later) he totally forgot about my order and gave it to the next number. I had to remind him that he didn't give me my order and had to wait for the next batch. When I found out the gold foil drink was available I had to get one. This time there was very few people. I was actually able to see the fortune telling boxes in the back (which I didn't notice the first time because it was so packed). In my option I do not think the extra money for the gold foil is worth it. It does not add any additional flavor to the drink. The only thing is that it looked very pretty and very instagram-able. Most of the foil was wasted as it got stuck on the side of the cup, the lid and the straw. They also have other drinks that I have not tried but am looking forward to trying. read more
Taiwan is famous for bubble tea. And this is one of the most popular one in taiwan. I'm so glad they finally open their very first store in US. They fresh made their boba everyday with fresh ingredients. Their brown sugar boba is my favorite. I like how they use the torch to caramelized the brown sugar on the top, so when you drink it. You can taste the chewy boba, with little crunch brown sugar. Taste so good! And make sure you stir and mix the bottom of the brown sugar together with the milk 18 times!! Their brown sugar boba with herbal jelly taste really good too. It's similar like the brown sugar milk . But add another topping in it. Whole drink concept is from Chinese ink painting. Really like their herbal jelly! Soda handmade jelly. Such a cool drinks. The drink has sparkle when you stir it. Very pretty and unique! Wish they will open more store in manhattan and Brooklyn. So I don't have to go alllllll the way to flushing! But worth to travel and try their drink! read more

Xing Fu Tang is in on a busy street in the center of flushing Chinatown. It's a small space on the inside, so there's often a line to get in. They make the boba fresh right behind the windows at the front of the shop so it's entertaining to watch the boba making process while you wait to get in! My friend and I both got the boba soft serve and oh my god. This was literally the BEST frozen treat on a hot day. I have a massive fixation with tea flavored ice cream and this takes #1. The softserve Iiterally tastes like brown sugar milk tea and the bubbles and syrup on the bottom just complete it. I'm still dreaming about this ice cream. People around us had a lot of other cool treats - pretty sure they have a drink with gold foil on top that I'll need to try next. read more
This place is hyped for good reason. It's not overly sweet, and they really concentrate on letting the boba shine. I have had XFT in Taiwan, and I'd say this location is comparable in quality. I ordered a brown sugar drink from here as this new bubble tea spot recently opened in the neighborhood. It cost about $6 for a cold drink which isn't too bad for bubble tea now a days. To be honest though, the drink was a 3/10 but the tapioca was really good. I do not believe I would be coming back for their drinks, however I will suggest visiting for the experience if you are a first timer. They have a little fortune shaker thing that you can pick a fortune from which is pretty cool. read more
Went to this place twice, and was pleasantly surprised with both visits. Came here the first time to try to bubble tea ice cream and thoroughly enjoyed the novel of the item....... Flavor could use a little work though as it just didn't have a strong enough milk tea flavor. Came here a second time and ordered the name sake item, the brown sugar bubble tea! I can honestly say I understand the hype behind this place as it does a fantastic rendition of said item. I especially loved the fact that they used a torch to caramelize the top of the bobo, so it had a nice crunchy deeply flavorful shell of a creme brule, super nice touch. I got to go here when they first opened in Flushing which was amazing for me as a boba lover getting to see the whole process. Xing Fu Tang has a special appreciation for boba and all their pearls are made fresh! When I rank every bubble tea spot that I've been to I always say they have the best tapioca by far. I could recommend any of their menu items, but of course go for their Brown Sugar. Their soft serve is also one of my favorites too! read more

Elevated bubble tea. We tried the brown sugar and taro bubble tea drinks. The brown sugar is probably the top seller because the brown sugar boba is incredibly delicious and different. Softer, gooey-er, and much sweeter than typical boba. The drink was a little too sweet for my taste overall however and is best saved for dessert. The taro boba was our favorite. It included creamy taro paste in the bottom of the drink, as well as bubbles. I'm always a fan of the subtly sweet flavor of taro, and this drink was excellent. None of the artificial, overly sweet flavor you sometimes get with lower quality taro teas. read more
We came here to try the unique boba milk tea ice cream! They actually just opened a XFT in SGV but I haven't had a chance to visit yet, so this Flushing trip was the perfect chance! You can see the worker making the bobas in a giant wok at the store window. The boba is soft and warm, the ice cream was not too sweet but I'm sure it's still all pure sugar lol. It was delicious! We visited Mother's Day weekend May 2022 and they actually had a promo for a free brown sugar milk tea with purchase of 2 items! It worked out perfectly we get to try the milk tea too. Delicious! They have various fruit tea on the menu as well, but I think it will be hard to pass on the bobas here! Will definitely make an effort to visit the one in SGV soon! read more
Oh... My God. People say this is the best boba in NYC and I'm here to verify that it's completely true. Even with my high expectations, they were all exceeded. First of all, the line wasn't even that long and moved pretty fast. The prices were fair and the staff were kind. I got the brown sugar boba milk and it absolutely blew my mind. The best way to know if the boba's good is when it's warm. And the bottom of my cup was almost too hot to hold. The tapioca pearls were fresh out--chewy and perfectly sweet in the brown sugar syrup. I've never gotten just a brown sugar milk before and it wasn't too heavy, which I was worried about. They even torched the top which made it taste like a marshmallow. We recently found this place searching for the best milk teas in queens since I work over here. I was able to stop there today and it surely didn't disappoint. It was very crowded but the line went really quick. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea with extra boba of course. There boba is the freshest and best I've ever had. They literally make it by hand in the store for everybody to see. The tea was also very good, my only complaint was that I should of bought two! This is def the milk tea gem of the area and I'll be back on a regular basis when I'm in the mood for one!! Just a side note. Parking is very tough in the area, leaving the car at home would be for the best. read more

After my first visit in June 2022, it was my absolute favorite place to get boba. The place has relatively fast service (it's usually packed inside, but it clears away in a few minutes). Their classic brown sugar boba was amazing, with warm brown sugary boba at the bottom of the cup mixed with the cold half n half and caramelized cream on top. Their tapioca is deliciously soft and made in-house by their windows (you can watch them make it!). But honestly, since coming as of Feb 2023, the place disappointed me a bit. There wasn't enough of that warm sugary boba and it mostly tasted like milk. Priced at $14.50 for just 2 drinks is a wild price. Maybe it was just an off day, but I'm disappointed. Try it for yourself and see; I truly hope it was an off day because I really did like Xing Fu Tang. read more

Excited when I heard this was opening as its their first US location. Perfect placement around flushing as its around many other stores to grab a drink and go somewhere else. I love how they have everythinf transpareNt in front of you where you can see the dough for the boba being made as well as the cooking process. Although the drink are a little pricey compared to everywhere else it is definitely worth a try. With their flagship drink you get a nice topping of brown sugar that is caaramelized by a blow torch. When drinking it has the little bits like a ice cream with bits in it. I recommend for the experience. Its a step up from your average boba/bubble tea fix and their atmosphere is really cool. read more

Over rated just like Tiger Sugar. I passed by this place for years at main street thinking it wasn't going be that good. Curiosity got the best of me and I decided to try it for the first time. Got the popular one brown sugar boba and I tried the gold foil one as It caught my eye. It tasted just like regular whole milk with some sugar in it. No unique flavor yet the cost was pricey. Two drinks came out to 23 dollars...... Gold was just a thin paper they put on top. The boba was good but that was the only selling point. Asides from the bubbles the drink was not good. read more

MY NEW FAVORITE BOBA SPOT!!!!! Came on a Sunday morning around 11am and there was already a line out the door! That being said, the line moved super quickly and I got my drink in less than 20 minutes of being there. The Strawberry Boba Milk is an absolute MUST for any strawberry lovers out there! The pearls are absolutely delicious and super chewy--definitely the perfect topping to pair with the creamy strawberry milk. You can definitely tell that the pearls are handmade--they have varying shapes but taste amazing. I got my drink with Lactaid and it was still super rich, creamy, and delicious! My friend got the Matcha Boba Milk and it was delicious as well! Definitely not to sweet and tasted great with the strawberry pearls. My boyfriend got the Melona Boba Milk and it was actually way less sweet than I anticipated. You definitely need to mix the drink thoroughly to get the ice cream bar to blend in with the drink, but once you do, the unique creamy texture and strong honeydew flavor is to die for. Pretty dope boba place in flushing queens NY, literally right off the train station. Lines can get long but move quickly (Sunday at 2pm with maybe 10-15 minute wait?). Got the original milk tea- it's pretty decent. The milk tea is Aite. The boba itself is as good as everyone says. Made fresh and yummy. The soft serve is pretty good too. Mix it so that you can get the hot boba with nice cool soft serve. Tip: you can also order online and it's real easy process. Overall, this place had the best boba in New York so far, but I would say more so for their boba and soft serve. Worth a visit if in flushing read more

Dropped by Xing Fu Tang to pick up some Brown Sugar Boba Milk. Since it was raining, I figured there would be a short line. Sure enough, there was only one person in line in front of us to order, HOWEVER, there were 20+ people waiting inside for their orders!!! It took over half an hour for us to get our drinks. Their boba pearls are freshly made which i like. They are soft and chewy. I haven't tried their regular brown sugar boba, but had the one that comes with gold foil. I didn't enjoy this one that much. I would prefer tiger sugar over this one. The gold one cost me $11. They recently started selling soft serve that comes with boba. I loved it. I would like to go back for more. Don't forget to mix the sugar and boba with sodt serve because at the end it will be very sweet. read more

Excellent Boba Tea here. While the ambience of the Taipei location is unmatched, love the night market vibes, it's great to enjoy the franchise close to home as well. Milky Creamy Boba Tea is their specialty and they do not disappoint. Watching them make it, they were using organic Stonyfield whole milk. Not surprised that quality is easy to taste with every sip. My favorite Boba Tea in the city. read more
Probably my favorite boba spot in the middle of FLushing, I've always seen a line outside of it and didn't have one today so I thought this would be a great time to write a review. I love the tapioca pearls here. They are wonderful! Normally I have a bit of a dislike of most boba places but Xing Fu Tang's hit the spot and feels like a great dessert or addition to any meal. The service was amazing and I felt like my drink came out fast and cleanly. I'd highly recommend the brown sugar milk tea but I'm also very basic. I'd love to try more of their menu slowly and update this. read more

I was excited to try the trendy brown sugar boba that I see all over social media. I visited Xing Fu Tang on a Saturday night. The total wait to place my order and get my drink was about 15-20 mins. In all honesty I wasn't completely blown away, for some reason I thought the drink would be sweeter. It wasn't bad but I didn't like the brown sugar boba more than my usual mango milk tea that I would get at any other spot. I love that you could see how their staff were carefully preparing all the drinks and didn't seem visibly overwhelmed with the line full of customers. Not worth the try if you aren't in the immediate area but I'm looking forward to trying brown sugar boba at other locations. read more

Amazing boba in flushing! My family didn't love it but I thought it was great! The taro needed a little more sweetness but they added it as soon as I asked and had whole taro chunks in the boba!! A great place for a boba stop! read more

The boba is very fresh, chewy and sweet! This was the best boba tea i've ever had, by far. I cannot wait to come back, sad there isn't a long island location. They have non dairy milk as well! read more

1/26 will be 10AM to 1PM, then 6PM to 10PM. 1/27-2/1 will be 10AM to 10PM. Lactaid is $0.50, oat milk is $1.00
