This place is an absolute SCAM! I went in to get an estimate for my car and they seemed nice at first but I started getting suspicious when they became adamant about charging my insurance. The first estimate they gave me was beyond ridiculous! They wanted to charge me $5,600, so I started reading what they were charging. They included a MINOR scratch on my trunk and a full replacement for my taillight that was just chipped but fully functional, keep in mind I told them I didn't care about those things. So I asked them to remove those things and to provide me with a different estimate. I also made the mistake of telling them how much my insurance would cover. The minute I said it, the guy told me he would do all the work if he could charge my insurance the full amount!!!!!!!! He even wanted me to pay my deductible of $1,000 to charge me the full $5,600. The second estimate he provided was for $3,300 I kept looking at what he was charging me and started to ask questions. When I started asking questions he started getting upset, talking down to me, and essentially telling me that he would not explain his job to me ... Immediately I left. I went to a different place that was 1000x more professional and they quoted me $2,988.69 right off the bat. Safe to say, I'm NEVER coming back here and I recommend none of you reading this come here either. Looking at the estimates again right now and in the first estimate this man put 32.7 HOURS of body labor ... he removed 2 minor things and it jumped down to 26 HOURS!?!?!? ABSOLUTE SCAM! read more

And to my unfortunate luck that other driver didn't have coverage. I have had a bumper on my daughters 2009 BMW repaired a fender on my wife's 2009 GL450 Mercedes the rear quarter panel on my sons 2010 Dodge Challenger the hood on my 2003 BMW X5 a door on my other son's 2007 Chevy Colorado and the whole roof on my Mom's 2003 Prius that was smashed by a tree. The reason I went there first is they were referred by a bumper shop further down Atlantic and I liked that they were going to repair instead of replace the plastic bumper. I have been going to this place for years. They used to be called West Coast Auto Body. Every time I went I always spoke with the owner who hooked me up with a good deal. And even though the ownership has changed through the years, the fact that I've known the previous owner then the new owners gave me a good deal too. Here's a company who could write a book on Customer Service. It's like the old days! Even while I was getting my estimate anyone who crossed into the office area acknowledged and greeted me. The office, itself, was immaculate. Was I really in an Automotive business with floors that clean and people so polite? Wait, it gets better... This was my 3rd and last estimate on a fender-bender. I thought I had full coverage via my car insurance but come to find out it was just liability (that's a whole other story). It came as a huge shock, believe me. This meant I alone would be responsible for the cost of the repair. It's different when it's your own money and not the insurance company's & money is tight for me right now. I explained my situation to one of the co-owner's, Juan. He said, let me see what I can do. We looked at the car together and he crunched some numbers. My jaw dropped when his estimate was HALF of my lowest estimate. My lowest estimate was $2,800 and he told me he could do it for $1,400! Everything was itemized on the paper he handed me and also he said he would absorb cost where he could like the blending of the paint. It felt like the worst thing that could happen followed by the best resolution. His son drove me to my residence and would not accept money for gas. The place who told me $2,800 said it would take 2 weeks. Juan did it in one week, and when you're paying for a car rental and shelling out that kind of money from your own pocket every money-saving corner was like a gift. When I picked up my car I got to meet the other owner, Carlos. He brought me to my car and it looked like a brand new car---the front half anyway which had been damaged. Everything was perfect and they even cleaned my engine. When I was handed my key it was on a key chain and not just one promoting their company but one which matched my car. Like the friend who referred me said, "It's WORTH the drive." And I gotta tell you this was one of the best experiences I ever had. Thank you, Juan. Thank you, Carlos.
