Came in today to get my lights fixed up for my 06 BMW 325i. For some reason, my old lights kept turning off and on, but ending up not turning on anymore. Called Xtreme HID to see if I can get them fixed up/replaced and they did amazing work! No more random flickering and/or not turning on with my old lights. They also installed 6k fog lights as well! I'd like to personally give them the bonus of great customer service. John also guarantees quality work and checks in on you on how things are with your car. I've also came in contact with Tien through Yelp, asking quotes and what else Xtreme HID has to offer. To summarize my experience, Xtreme HID were lack attention to details, lack of communication, poor craftsmanship, and poor customer services. See below for more details: Lack Attention to details: I came to Xtreme HID to have my dash cam installed. They asked me if I would like the rear camera inside facing out the window or outside. I specifically explain that it does not matter as long as the clarity is flawless. The technician then decided to have it placed inside (pretty much less work and faster job). I asked if the tint will be in the way of clarity, he said "no" that he will double check if he can angle the camera so my wing would not block the way. Job was quoted 1.5 hour, but finished in 45 minutes (hmmm....). After I received the car back and driving home, the power went out on the dash cam. Long story short they did not properly secure the wires hence it was loose. I also noticed the front camera and rear camera clarity significantly different. When I confronted them regarding the issue, they said it wasn't their issue that it was my fault. Earlier I mention to the technician my wishes, apparently he did not listen. The owner then tells me that when they tested the camera it was clear (showed me a picture of only the rear camera without comparing the two). When I explain to him regarding the camera clarity of the two is different, he blew me off and said it was not his problem and that I should have Made the call for the camera placement. This place is inexperience when setting up dash cam, you would think they know that tint will hinder clarity of the camera. Poor communication: regarding my story above, the technician clearly did not listen to my request. The owner will argue with you regarding one thing while you are telling him another concern. Honestly, I felt he did not even listen to a single word I said. Poor Craftsmanship: They will tell you they have a one year warranty on their labor, but its a joke! 1 hour after I left the camera shut down due to their lack to attention to detail and craftsmanship. I ended up returning back to have it fixed. Skipping ahead to the future, after they refuse to rework my car and insist in charging me to reroute it outside, I refused to pay decided to go elsewhere to get my car re-done. I went to a mechanic, and he was surprise that these guys worked on my car. He said the way the wired my car that I would expect it to fall apart in a year or two (hence only 1 year warranty at Xtreme HID). Poor Customer Service: Honestly they need man up to their mistake instead of trying to cover up with lies! This company will rip you off! the wanted to charge me to fix their mistake! Ha! no way! After what the other mechanic told me about their work! I'm glad I didn't ask them to fix it! Overall: Bad experience with Xtreme HID! All about the money than their customers. The owner told me straight up that he did not care about what I thought and I was entitled to my own opinion. Do not come here for advice! They will give you a bad one plus charge you and will charge you again to fix it! 1 year warranty is not great for their craftsmanship. Awesome shop. Awesome products. Awesome owner. Awesome workers. At Xtreme HID I found down-to-Earth, substantive individuals who really know what they are doing. Throughout the entire process, they treated me like a person versus a distraction. There are shops much closer to my home, but Xtreme HID is by far the better option. I initially took my Porsche Cayman to another shop to replace my halogen headlights. They recommended their LEDs and told me how wonderful they are and how much better they are than LEDs sold at other shops. So I went for it. They also installed the adapters designed to prevent headlight error codes. The adapters did not work and I began receiving error codes the first night. Also, the LED lights did not illuminate the road as well as my halogen bulbs. My halogen bulbs were brighter. I also took my BMW out that night to compare the lights. My BMW was purchased with all of the packages, which includes Xenon HID auto-leveling headlights. They are extremely bright and very well focused. A day or two later I decided to visit Xtreme HID. John is by far one of the nicest and genuine guys I have met. He showed me some of his products and he refused to say anything negative about the other shop or their products. I called the previous shop and received a no hassle refund (kudos to them). Then I went to Xtreme and purchased their lifetime warranty HIDs. Wow! What a difference! The brightness is far superior to the LEDs and brighter than my original halogens. The beam pattern is excellent as displayed in the photo below. I have seen people who upgrade their headlights on the cheap and blind oncoming traffic. The driver's side light pattern should be lower than the passenger side. The top of the pattern should be a fairly clean sharp horizontal line. If your beam pattern is not focused and scatters all over the place you are blinding oncoming traffic putting yourself and others at risk. Try the following: Find a wall one night. Point your car directly to it and turn on your lights. Compare your pattern to the Xtreme HID pattern from my car in the photo below. BTW if your lenses are faded (yellow or white) your lights will not appear as bright as they actually are. Also fade lenses may scatter your pattern to some extent. Have the lenses restored or replaced then add a protective film over them. If you are in the market for a headlight upgrade go to Xtreme HID. My Porsche Cayman looks much better and I can see more clearly at night. Also, I am not blinding oncoming traffic because John and his team know what they are doing. I did notice one thing after the install, which I may not have if not for my BMW's stock Xenon HIDs. The aftermarket HIDs installed in my Porsche take a little time to reach maximum intensity. I'd say approximately four seconds to get to just over 90 percent intensity (brightness). Then another few seconds to reach maximum intensity. If not for my BMW I'd probably think this is how all HIDs work. That said, some may actually like seeing their lights turn on this way, which is fine. Its more of a personal preference versus an issue. My BMW's HIDS are instantly bright. They are at maximum intensity the second I turn them on. Don't get me wrong. When you first engage the switch, the Xtreme HID product almost instantly achieve approximately 65 (or 70) percent intensity (about as bright as my halogens were). You are never sitting in the dark at any time after turning on these lights or are in any danger of not seeing the road or objects in front of you. After that initial jump to about 65 (or 70) percent intensity you can see the lights growing brighter over a three or four second period to where the brightness becomes more impressive. Then that last bit of brightness (I'll call it 5 to10 percent or so) takes a few more seconds to achieve. I also have to consider (a few years ago) one headlight on my BMW cost $1500 at the dealer, $3000 for a pair. Fortunately the gentleman who backed into my car and cracked my headlight lens had insurance. In conclusion I am "extremely" satisfied with my purchase and experience at Xtreme HID. I would purchase this product again in a heartbeat. What also impressed me is the installers are hard workers who want to do a great job. Also, and the owner was very reluctant to badmouth the other shop (or their products) where I made my initial purchase, which says a lot about his character. I had them install new LED running lites that I purchased from amazon by distributor iJMDJOY on my 2013 VW Passat. They were advertised as OEM fit but that wasn't the case. Thankfully Xtreme Techs An, Oscar & Andrew fabricated my grill to make the LED fog lite bezels fit. Yes, they look great but they're no DIY project. The crew was very careful with my car and always checked with me before making modifications. They were all very friendly and extremely helpful. I also purchased new DRL's to match the brightness of the new LED fog lite bezel fixture. (See photos on HID Xtreme site). I'm not an expert when it comes to car repair. Every time I try to fix something on my car, it ends up being worse, or made beyond repair. That's why I did my research and found Xtreme HID to install all my lights in my 09 Lexus IS250. I was kind of skeptical at first. Everybody is when you look for a new shop to work on your car. Auto repair places have that bad reputation for ripping people off. But since I really needed to get my headlights fixed I went on a limb and decided to give Xtreme HID a try since it was close to my office. When I first stepped into the shop, I was quickly greeted by John. He is a very nice guy and very attentive. Listened to everything I had to say about my HIDs going out. I didn't know what the hell I was talking about. I thought I had to replace everything. But to my surprise, he said I would only have to change out a couple of things to have my headlights up and running again. I was in an out in less than an hour. After his staff fixed the lights, he walked me to my car and did a check just to make sure everything was good. Took a couple of pictures and I was on my way. Before I left, he told me to check out Xtreme HID's Instagram which I did a couple of minutes after leaving. Followed him and soon after that, had a shout out on his Instagram with the work he did on my car that day. Who doesn't like an Instagram shoutout?? Since then, I've been back to John's shop two times within the last year. The OEM headlights on my Lexus were notoriously known for having cracking and letting in leaks. I went back to have him check it out, and even though it was a Lexus issue, he was more than happy to secure all the HID gaskets to make sure it wasn't an installation issue that was causing the leaks, all at no cost to me. This most recent time I went in was due to the fact that my headlights had so much water damage from the OEM housing defect, I figured I'd take the plunge and order new headlight housing with the cool LED strips. John ordered the new headlight housing which took about a week to ship and once it arrived to the shop, it only took about 3-4 hours to install. I dropped my car off during my lunch hour and was back there after work with my car waiting for me. I couldn't be more happier with the way my new headlights look. Xtreme HID can be a little busy at times, but if you're looking for a place that does quality work, you can't rush it. Make sure to give John a call ahead of time, and he will make sure you get taken cared of. TL:DR: I rate John and Xtreme HID 5 out of 5 stars! 1st problem:John told me that the price to get my multicolored drl was gonna be around 500 dollars because he said that It was because it was a tricky process and people tend to mess up.He told me that to kinda give me a sort of relief that he wasn't gonna mess up.(But he did and he blamed his mistake on diode dynamics) .But His courteousness was misleading. 2nd problem:During that day I had to get my car dropped off April 6 on a Thursday around 2:33. So i drop off my car and I waited for my friend to pick me up.(Not only did he not offer me a loaner but he also waste my friend's gas and time)So he send a text message that said "Bro your car done".So I reply "it's finished".He texts "Yes" .But I respond "OK I'll be right there".But the time I show up there he tells me my car isn't done and that he had mistakenly send that message to the wrong person.So me and my friend had to drive all they way back to Morgan Hill in rainy traffic. 3rd problem:When I went to pick up my car the second time I thought It was fix and my colored lights worked.But he tell me that there's so bad news.(Omg what could be worst than driving home in rainy traffic)Well he tells me that one of the led boards are messed up so my white drl are stuck blue and I turned both lights blue.So I ended up drive home with blue lights.(Which is super illegal and I could have gotten a ticket)He tells to comeback at 10 the next day and he'll fix it . Guess what he just unplugs one of the led board and use one led board on two lights.(No I give you props it's a great Temporarily fix) 3rd problem :Today I get the lights and I know that I didn't make an appointment but I felt like the least John can do for all the mistakes he has made he could at least drop everything he has to do and help me first.Because it's not only smart thing to do but it's right thing to do .So I'm done with this shop! All the 5 stars review don't mean anything to me because I was given the worst experience ever! If you're looking for good service, good work, and an insanely fast turn around time, come here to visit John. I've come to this shop twice to get two things done. First one of my foglights went out and I came here to see what they could do. The shop was BUSY. Probably 4-5 people ahead of me. Personally I thought "man this is going to take awhile" but was happy to see that John was able to get the job done in less than an hour and a half, from entering the shop and leaving all while having mulitple people ahead of me. Not only that John was constantly making sure each and every one of his customers were kept up to date on their respective cars and made sure each of us was comfortable while waiting. Absolute top notch service. My second visit was a little different. I wanted to go ahead and black out my headlight housing. After quoting several shops around the Bay Area, I settled on Xtreme HID once again. There were plenty of shops around the bay that quoted me WELL under the price John gave (around $600 for blacking out the housing from Xtreme HID), NONE of the shops could guarantee a same day turnaround except for John. I'm one of those people who cant STAND having my car not with me, so the premium price for same day turnaround is imo worth it. Anyways I came by the shop and dropped off my car at around 11 am and by 630 my car was done. Headlights came out beautiful but my only gripes were that there were some Fender liner screws missing. No big deal it happens and plus they're easy to replace anyways. All in all a great shop and will be looking forward to coming here for any headlight work. Thanks again John! read more

About 2 years ago I was looking for a shop to work on my headlights, I wanted to have an HID installed for my Mercedes C300, I went to yelp and searched for an auto shop that installs HID. I called several shops but after telling them that it's a Mercedes they told me it's too complicated and they do not want to do it, the last shop I called referred me to a shop called extreme HID, I took their information down and called immediately, I spoke to An and he was very accommodating and answered all my question. Right side headlight went out about a week or 2 ago. Tried a few tricks like quickly turning headlights on and off or quickly engaging the high beams and no dice. Looked up the business and pleasantly surprised they open on Sunday. Since I'm about 45 minutes away and my arrival time would be close to closing (30) minutes I wanted to double check their hours and see if I could get my right headlight serviced which I was told yes. When I got there I had to wait for a good 10/15 minutes before getting helped. I figure the ballast went out and would be a simple swap of a part, but that wasn't an option as my car had DC and hid now use AC. I would need to get a new bulb and ballast. Since it's winter and gets dark early I figure I should shell out the money to fix the problem and improve visibility. Safety first right. The only disappointing part of the whole encounter was that I asked the mechanic to please check the height of the beam and make them the same since they have been tweaked previously. When I was told my car was ready I asked the mechanic if he did so and was told yes. He looked tired. It was past hours of operation. I took his word without checking. He didn't adjust them. I didn't notice because it was still light outside, but he didn't check nor level them out. To keep things simple extreme HID is honest and kept to their word! Management could have been nasty, try to intimidate or tried to give me the run around but they didn't and eventually agree that I was correct after presenting them with enough evidence. I got a fist pump and a heart felt apology. They were professional till the end. I would highly recommend coming here if you are looking for HID. read more
