Warm churros made to order? Yes please! Prices are more than reasonable considering being in Chicago. I got the strawberry filled churro and it was tasty but getting it plain would be just as good. They only serve certain fillings each day so be aware of that. My options today were strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. I really wanted cream cheese but that wasn't available today. If you're ever in the North Center neighborhood and in need of a sweet treat, this is the place to stop! They have lots of different options when it comes to churros but on my stop, I went with the churro sundae. The churro was freshly cooked after I put in my order and added to ice cream and whipped cream to the mix. Made for an excellent dessert after eating across the road. My first time trying out Xurro was from the Pilsen location. I was driving around the Lakeview area and was driving on Lincoln Ave and spotted a brand new Xurro store! It's super clean and churros are made fresh to order! They offer mini plain churros, smoothies, milkshakes and other sorts of desserts. You can get a plain xurro or order it filled with strawberry, cheesecake, vanilla or chocolate filling. It's definitely an intimate size store and better for small groups like 4 people or smaller. Street parking can get hard to find in the area because it's in a happening block but I love their late night hours! If you grab a drink nearby or dinner you can walk on over to grab a xurro afterwards. Be on the look out for their flavor of the day! I went today and they had pineapple available! read more
