Nice local owned and family operated taqueria in our neighborhood. Fabulous fish tacos as well as other items such as Tortas and burritos.

The stars are for the guy taking my order, and how clean the place was. The super burrito looked like it had fried rice in it, he said it comes with cabbage but it had shredded carrots also. the only thing good about the burrito was the beans. Also i ordered Asada.. it was ground beef. I don't like when places do that .. say asada and give ground beef... did the same with asada fries... omg!! i wanted so bad to love this place. This place is close by and I always wanted to check it out. I got three pastor tacos and a beef cheek taco & a churro which came out to $13. Not bad. The food came out pretty fast. The place is a little small with some seating. Everything was on the taco including the sauce. But I feel like the quality was okay. This is a hole in wall off of Calvin's and Elk Grove Florin Rd. We got there on Tuesday and were craving fish and shrimp tacos so we found this place. It's small but very cute inside. Tuesday had a Baja fish taco for $2.95 so we got 4 of the fish and 4 shrimp tacos with the combo of beans / rice/ drink. The beans were nice and smooth however I did crave Spanish rice instead of veggie rice but it was still good. The shrimp were cooked well. The fish was also one of my favorites. The fish tacos are good. They use corn tortillas and put cabbage, salsa, and pico on them. On Tuesdays and Saturdays there's a deal where they are 2.50 each. Otherwise it's 4.25 per taco. This is one of the best places to get fish and shrimp tacos in Elk Grove. I like to come to their taco tuesday as they have deals on the fish tacos. They are delicious, and do not feel heavy at all. I came across this recommendation on Yelp looking for Baja fish tacos similar to Taco Nazo's in SoCal. By the looks of their reviews, this spot looked very promising. We came on a Saturday at noon and were the only customers. The guy who rang us up didn't look too happy. Their condiments were only available by request. Parking was a breeze. I was surprised at how slow the business was for lunch hours. Tacos were well priced but much smaller than the place we're used to getting our Baja style ones at. We ordered a combo for one item and didn't receive the combo and only tacos! The fish and spicy shrimp were the only good ones. The pastor was overwhelming with cinnamon, super dry and we couldn't finish them. The asada and carnitas were also very dry and the tortillas were hard. We thought this place was not bad but not great enough for the drive so no, we would not come back. The ratings did not deliver the hype and customer experience was bare minimum. Excellent fish tacos! I placed a to go lunch order to treat myself while working from home. I ordered directly from their website which was easy and quick. I ordered one regular fish taco and a carnitas taco. It was ready in 15 min! The fish taco was delicious! The fish was so fresh and had the right amount of batter and fry on it. The cabbage gave it the right amount of crunch. I first thought they added too much white sauce but once I tasted it, I could've added more lol. A little on the messy side but this is a sign of a good taco! The carnitas taco was also good but I wish I would've just ordered another fish taco, it was that good. I can't wait to try the shrimp ones next. The place was clean, service was fast and friendly. I am a big seafood fan so some good fish tacos looked to be quite tasty. I ordered online and it took a tiny bit of waiting when I arrived. I got 2 shrimp and one fish. The result was a pleasant surprise, very fresh and tasty taco with just the right amount of breading and sauce. Came here for carne asada fries and they were so delicious! The fries are still crispy and hot which is rare for most carne asada fries I've had. The ratio of toppings is pretty good. And the sauce they have on top goes really well with it too. Only complaint is the portion is a lot smaller than other places even at a similar price point. Always drive by this complex on the way home from work and didn't notice this place until today. Man, the spicy fish tacos might be one of the best fish tacos I've had. I've always passed by this restaurant when I'm in the plaza and finally decided to try it out. We ordered 2 fish tacos and 2 spicy fish tacos to try. The only thing was, was that we ended up getting 2 spicy shrimp tacos instead of the spicy fish tacos. We ended up really enjoying the shrimp rather than the fish tacos for two reasons--one being that the spicy tacos were super cheesy like it was made quesadilla style with a crispy cheese skirt, and second the shrimp was lightly spiced and cooked perfectly (definitely not overcooked)! Included with the tacos was a large yellow pepper that appeared to be grilled, but not spicy at all. As far as the fish tacos, they were ok. The fish was deep fried and not seasoned much outside of the toppings. Next time, I would like to try the spicy fish tacos to see how it compares. Both tacos were overflowing with toppings, which I appreciated. Service was very friendly! You also get a 10% off discount if it's your first time visiting them and if you check in on Yelp. I been here two times now. The fish tacos are pretty good. I could use a little bit more fish but for the price of $1.99 on Tuesdays and Saturdays for fish tacos I will say they are pretty good. The agua fresca I got was piña and it was (that means really good). It has just the right amount of sweetness and little tiny chunks of pineapple. Whoever made this batch did a superb job. I have not gone lately as the past few times it seems as though the owner in not happy to be serving his customers or is almost annoyed that he has to be there to work.
