Loaded nachos - Sour cream on the side

Good food, friendly service and a comfortable place with a great ocean view. Great community vibe. Enjoyed our cheeseburger and loaded nachos!

    The Baybreeze! Perfectly made.

Came in here for a couple of drinks. The place was packed, as it is Valentines weekend. However, our bartender was amazing, polite, and quick. The pours were generous, and the drinks very delicious. Very friendly service. Well worth the visit!

By the name, It's not what you think. Locals bar. Strictly locals bar. Nothing really underground. You get to see whales from sitting outside, because there is really nothing else to see. Couple beers on tap. No homebrew. They were out. Food was OK. As a visitor with my family, I would surely avoid this place. Just not a good experience.

Another great local "discovery" awaited us here, just off the main drag in downtown Yachats!! We arrived a bit later in the evening (maybe 8-8:30) but still managed to find friendly service and excellent bar/comfort food in a warm, inviting bar and grille. Looks like they have some pretty good live, local talent here some nights, and it might get pretty busy/crowded, I guess, but other than one large table of buddies up front by the entrance, we just about had the place to ourselves. Tempting menu, I chose one of their salads and a bowl of my new BFF, the always yummy (and diet-busting!) clam chowder, along with a locally brewed Porter. Both hit the spot, and Bob was pretty happy with his burger and local brew choices as well. Friendly owner, great local "dive!!" Worth a visit if you're in the area!!

Cocktails were subpar but the bartender was nice. Ambience is ok and well-lit. Old-fashioned mix was great

Very friendly and quick to serve us. They had interesting cocktails. Parking was difficult but we like that it's off the main drag.

We chose here because there was plenty of parking in the lot and next to the lounge on the street for us to leave the windows down in the car for our dog- sit there, eat and keep an eye on the vehicle. Very friendly waitress, attentive service, place was nice and clean. Good tasting burger and fries along with a large basket of chicken wings with sweet sauce, perfectly done (not fatty or greasy) with fries. We split both plates along with an ice cold Porter from Depot Brewery. Didn't have, but the homemade dessert sounded yummy! Cash discount- fee if you pay with credit card- stated on the door and by our friendly waitress. We would eat here again knowing we are having good lounge/bar food.

We stopped in for lunch and split a captain's platter. The portion was plenty for two of us for lunch. The food was ok. Not the freshest tasting, but it was fried bar food, so not expecting the world's best seafood. I shouldn't make assumptions, but it did seem like some of the items were pre-packaged, frozen items. I would love to give this place an extra half-star, based on the bartender. She was great, with the perfect balance of providing good service and allowing us to enjoy our lunch. She also helped us with some recommendations of other places to check it out.

Auguste is the best - great suggestions for food, attentive, and so friendly(we remember Auguste from last year). And the food is so good - Chef Tyler is still here - fantastic food (hazelnut crusted coho salmon, scallop & shrimp scampi, cioppino, bay shrimp cocktail with great cocktail sauce , key lime pie, mixed berry cheesecake, and tiramisu - all excellent). Thank you to Auguste and chef Tyler for making our yearly visit to The Adobe special. Final night for dinner at The Adobe: another wonderfully delicious meal with the delightful Heather Marie as our server. Meals that were yummy: spring pea asparagus linguine, grilled rock cod, grilled shrimp, and cioppino, key lime pie, tiramisu, chocolate marquis flourless cake. Heather Marie is so much fun as bartender, and "jack of all" in food serving department(she does it all with a smile). Love The Adobe Staff - they make The Adobe what it is. With a storm blowing in we were craving some clam chowder. Homegrown did satisfy that craving! Unfortunately, service was a little slow because there was only one waiter. Luckily, we were in no rush. Appearance - The warm string lights created a nice, cozy vibe. (Maybe the rained helped too!) Overall, the food was plated well. Taste- Garlic Parmesan fries- mmm so delicious with a yummy aioli to dip them in! Would highly recommend! Caution if you're sensitive to garlic... be aware that the parmesan can easily be mistaken for garlic chunks! Steamers- My husband got this and said it was very fresh and he enjoyed the broth. I tried it but I'm not a huge wine person and to me the broth was very heavy wine flavored. Fried Fish Cod Sandwich- Unfortunately I learned on this outing that I don't really love cod. The fish on this sandwich was not very meaty.

Honestly, you can choose from any number of places in the Old Town area in Florence. But if you…read morefancy a fabulous burger, other great food options, or maybe a cold craft beer, then Beachcomber might just be your spot. One thing to bear in mind is that this is still a BAR: that means no one under the age of 21 may cross the threshold. But, if weather allows, anyone of any age can sit outside. Beachcomber has several picnic tables set up, a few with umbrellas as they extended seating to the street, and that makes for a comfortable dining option in fair weather. There are a number of constant taps as well as seasonal/rotated local offerings. If you're an Untappd user, like me, then you can even check their beer options on the app ahead of time, or sign in while you're there so you can nerd out whilst enjoying your beer. I'm a sucker for anything malty, and when in a phenomenal beer-producing area like the PNW, then you will have plenty of Oregon/Washington choices. Fresh-hopped beer hits different when you're near the source. The burgers dot the menu, but do not miss the onion rings. These things are like beer-battered life preservers, so you probably will want to share because it's a HUGE pile of food. We've had burgers & other sammiches, but this past time I dove in for the highlighted Green Donkey. Well, 'we' dove in, because it's another enormous portion and sharing was the smart play. A marriage of beef & beans smothered in their queso and guac makes for a fantastic (albeit filling) lunch. I washed that down with a Pineapple Mana Wheat from Maui Brewing, a gently-hopped, light-bodied ale with that fruity finish. OK, so it's not 'local' but it is 'seasonal' and it's a great glass of bier. Service inside or out is quick and friendly, and they'll always offer a suggestion to fit your food or beer palate. I love doing local and Beachcomber represents that local anchor that is befitting of anyplace that has survived over three decades. You're on your own for parking, but there is a public lot a block or so away, plus you get a chance to window shop along the way. Beachcomber is 100% worth the stop, even if it's just to get off your feet, but enjoy the fare as well.
