A little family gathering for Anniversary Celebrations. What a fun time! We took the Starship Brunch cruise out of Tampa. All the hosts and servers were super nice. The buffet was abundant and most of the drinks were bottomless. We really had a fun time especially upper deck with the music and people dancing. Great scenery of Tampa was wonderful!

We decided to do the sunset dinner cruise on a whim. Shout-out to the Yacht StarShip team for providing excellent customer service on a Sunday evening to help us make a decision. We had called to make a same-day reservation about an hour before departure. All phone lines were busy, so we left a voicemail. I was expecting them to get back to us the next business day, but they actually called us back within 20 minutes. Their responsive customer service enabled us to figure out our plans, head over to the dock, get a last-minute ticket, and enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner on the Gulf for our first evening in Clearwater. Pro tip: If you do know your plans ahead of time, book earlier to get a better price. Prices rise as seats fill up. Tickets without the dinner are also available and still include drinks (but with a four drink limit). We got our tickets at the ticket window on the dock. It was a little past 7pm and people were already lined up and starting to board. When we purchased our tickets, they asked if we were celebrating anything (we weren't) and if we had any food allergies (we didn't). We then got in line with the rest of the guests, and it was a smooth intake/boarding process. As we boarded the boat, we were greeted by the friendly crew and they snapped a picture of our embarkation (available for purchase later in the evening, or included if you buy the $35 celebration package). As we walked into the dining room, the buffet was already open and people were filling their plates. We were seated at our private table and our server, Karen, greeted us immediately and took our drink orders. Karen was amazing! She explained to us how the "Free Bar at Sea" worked and showed us the drink menu. She was really speedy at fulfilling drink orders and gave us great cocktail recommendations to try. We really felt taken care of all night. During dinner, a crew member came around with the printed embarkation photo in a souvenir frame available for purchase (~$25). We opted not to purchase the photo, and I appreciate that they weren't pushy about it. There was so much food at the buffet. There was tomato basil soup (our soup of the day), a Caesar salad, pesto chicken, honey truffle Dijon potatoes, fresh veggies, Boursin salmon, portobello beef, pasta Florentine, and dinner rolls. Though plentiful and lavishly presented (complete with dish labels), food was a 3/5. The potatoes and beef were super salty, while the pasta was super bland. Out of the proteins, I thought the salmon was cooked the best, and I enjoyed the flavor of its creamy Boursin white asparagus sauce. For dessert, we had our choice between a strawberry cheesecake and chocolate truffle cake, which was a rich and luxurious way to end the meal. Cruise route - 3.5/5. I've been on other dinner cruises in other cities and those have been more informational with the sights. I suppose this was more of a scenic cruise (primarily for the water and sunset) than a tour-type cruise, and maybe in Clearwater there aren't really any sights to point out, but I would've liked to hear some narration or identification of landmarks, wildlife, etc. from the captain or other staff members during the cruise. It also seemed like we were going in circles to cruise around the Gulf until sunset. Service - 5/5. Karen was superb, and every staff member we interacted with was kind and pleasant. Guests who noted that they were celebrating something received personalized messages on their dessert plates that said, "Happy Birthday," "Happy Anniversary," etc. The DJ also gave the celebrants special shoutouts. Don't forget to tip - there was a $10 gratuity (per person) added to the check at the end of the night - but the crew definitely works hard to earn their keep. Vibe - 5/5. The dining room on the lower level felt fancy. The dance floor on the upper level felt like a party. The outside deck was where you could enjoy the water, watch the sunset, and turn on vacation mode. Between eating dinner, enjoying the open bar, and watching the sunset, the two hours flew by - we hardly had any time to dance! (But don't worry, we got some line dances in there.) When the party was over and we disembarked, we were provided with a sweet final goodbye from the crew, complete with a warm chocolate chip cookie (my favorite kind of party favor)! This was a kind and tasty gesture and representative of the hospitality Yacht StarShip provided all night. I recommend Yacht StarShip for the quality service and stunning sunset views.

We sailed in the middle of a strong lighting/rain storm. The boat was pretty nice. The buffet food was good. The music was everything. I loved how the DJ accommodated everyone on the boat. The music was so much fun. They really did a great job keeping everyone safe and entertained. Be aware there is a gratuity fee added at the end of the voyage. The service was top tier. Our waitress was nice and frequented our table often.

The Yacht Starship is cool cruise experience that offers a food buffet & beverages. The reservation process is simple and can be done by calling the reservation line that has helpful customer service representatives. The entire experience from the crew from start to finish was nothing but exemplary. Our server, Jacee was unbelievably friendly and social. She was excellent at her job and she deserves a massive shoutout. The chef did a great job at preparing the food for such a large group of people. The duration was about 2 hours and everything went smoothly. There was a DJ/emcee that personalized birthday and anniversary messages. I truly enjoyed my time on the ship and I would gladly return!

It was our last night in Clearwater and we wanted to do something fun as a family with 2 boys (16 and 9). We found Yacht Starship and thankfully they had same day booking availability. It was around $275 for all of us but with dinner, open bar and a beautiful sunset cruise the cost is well worth it. We all enjoyed the buffet dinner and I was grateful our server was able to make mocktails for the boys (which they really enjoyed). Of course, the sunset cruise is stunning. All the guests on board were kind to help out others take their sunset pics. If we are back in the Clearwater area we would definitely book again. Out of our 8 day vacation full of themes parks and the beach, this was my 16 year olds favorite experience. Thanks for a memorable evening!

Embarked on a dinner cruise for my BIL surprise birthday party. Be prepared for a parking disaster! Parking is shared with marina and beach restaurants so it quite difficult to find a spot. I highly recommend getting there extra early to find a spot and get onboard in time. We couldn't find parking anywhere so had to park down at the Hyatt garage. Dinner was a sit down and menu dinner. They take your drink and dinner order prior to leaving the marina dock. Wait staff was friendly but seemed to be out of sync with each other. Half of our dining room had bread and salad even our half had absolutely nothing. Our waitress apologized letting us know that the others shouldn't have brought out food yet but ours was coming. I had the Strawberry Spritz for a drink which was strawberry vodka with sparkling wine. For my meal I had the stuffed shrimp which was served with asparagus and rice. The bread that was served at the table was delicious and our table was so hungry that was asked for more! The additional bread was not as fresh and hard lol. My SIL fish was not good! The rice and the shrimp were the winner of the evening. It was nice sitting on the top deck on the comfy couches available just wish it wasn't a smoking area also! The smell actually eventually ran us back downstairs. I think that if you also pay so much for the yacht dinner experience that you parking should somehow be comped but it's not.

My husband and I were in Clearwater on vacation celebrating our anniversary! We decided to do the sunset cruise and loved it so much! This was one of our favorite parts of our trip. They took us out for a 2 hour cruise around the area, we got to see dolphins and listen to music along the way while getting to watch the sunset. They were so sweet to have a happy anniversary card and shoutout while the cruise was going. We even got to hear the song we had our first dance to which I know wasn't planned but still so cool to hear! The food was yummy and they also provide you with free drinks with the dinner buffet. The service was great and all of the staff were so friendly! So much fun and highly recommend!!

A small cruise. Buffet. It is excellent. Much fun. Tiffany is a GREAT server! All staff was great. Food was buffet. The chicken Marsala was nice, maybe a tiny bit dry. The braised beef was almost perfect, and the sauce for the salmon was good. I did not try the actual salmon (never liked it). The soup was a grouper chowder. That was VERY good! I'd actually like to have the recipe. The vegetables were cauliflower. It was ok. Salad was nicely done and the balsamic dressing seemed locally made, but I'd not bet on that. Drinks were included in the price. Very tropical. Just wish there had been a dark beer. Doesn't fit the motif, but it's my preference. Quite pleased, overall.

I had an amazing night! I went on the sunset Happy Hour cruise for my birthday. The price included 4 drinks and we could sit anywhere we wanted on the rooftop or in the bar area. The bar also had a dance floor and DJ for those who wanted to be indoors and cool off. I loved being on the rooftop, great ocean views and smooth sailing. Drinks were strong and tasted good. I chose not to do the dinner option because it was indoor seating and I wanted to be outside the entire time. Highly recommend doing just the drink option and snagging a good spot on the rooftop before the dinner crowd comes up after their meal.

Hubby and I were looking for a unique experience and figured we would give a go on a yacht. We've been on a few boat dinner cruises before but never a yacht so we wanted to be fancy and try it out. I gotta say, it was definitely worth it. I don't even remember the meals we had on the other boats but I am pretty sure I will be raving about this place's food for years (and wishing I had their recipes!). It is set up buffet style but they ask you to wait until your group of tables is called in order to keep the line manageable. I'm not sure if it was free or if we ordered it but we got an appetizer of crab fondue. We also went ahead and got an alcoholic drink in the biggest cup they had since you could keep the glass your drink came in. It was so good we were tempted to get another but instead hubby asked the bartender for something sweet and she made up something for us. Their chicken dish was the best and a good combination was mixing its sauce with the rice pilaf. The food itself was good enough I wish they had a restaurant I could go to so I could eat it again. The cruise portion was ok but would be better if you were with a large group of people you knew who wanted to dance or even hang out. Or if you were the kind of person who enjoyed chilling on a boat. I'm not but it was still fun. The music was a nice addition to listen to while we cruised along. The only thing hubby and I both agreed was a little off was that the bathroom sinks are so close to the edge you pretty much need to touch the sink in order to wash your hands. Germophobes, bring your hand sanitizer. All in all this was a great trip and I would definitely return if we found ourselves in the same area again. Loved: - Crab Fondue - Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Torte (FAV) - Drink: Strawberry Peach Sangria (FAV) - Grilled Chicken (FAV) Liked: - Citrus Rice Pilaf (best with the sauce from the chicken dish) - Tomato Soup Ok: - Hand Carved Prime Rib with Au Jus - White Chocolate Bread Pudding Disliked: - Mahi Mahi - Wheat Bread

My husband & I went for New Year's Eve and it was nice! The DJ was good and vibe was great. The firework show was amazing from the boat. Only wish we had options for dinner. They served beef and I don't eat red meat I asked could I just have the crab cake instead thinking they would at least give me two but no only brought one.

Instead he gave us some if his bottled pasta sauce. The meal was mediocre at best. The talent was worth it, but weeks later, I heard the owner stiffs the talent on multiple occasions. The wedding coordinator, Christina, was very helpful in arranging for our needs. The total cost for 5 hours at the venue, 4 hours of open bar (beer wine, mixers, and soda) and food for 80 guests was roughly $7,700. The Sage (Palazzo) allowed us to make a $1,000 deposit and pay a monthly charge on my credit card so we would not have to pay the entire amount in one installment. During the time between August 2013 and November 2014, the venue would forget to charge my credit card. I would have to remind them to charge me so that my wife and I could afford the wedding. For a period in the early winter, they neglected to charge my card, so the payments went up accordingly. This was annoying because we had carefully budgeted for the wedding. Later they had credit card issues, so I had to send them checks. Periodically, I would need to inform them of the payments made and the balance. They did not keep very meticulous records. I sporadically received invoices, and they were often missing a payment. In May of 2014, we learned the coordinator, Christina, had left The Sage (Palazzo) when we tried to contact her. I cannot comment on how busy they were at this time, but from my personal point of view it would have been polite to let us know whom to be in contact with for any wedding issues. Our new contact, Ellie, had to get up-to-speed with us very quickly. She tried very hard to make sure everything was going smoothly. She informed us in either August or September that our previous agreement to bring in hard liquor could no longer be honored. The venue decided to tell us this at nearly the last minute. They said they could still do the open bar portion, but made no serious attempts to correct the situation until I sent them a scanned copy of the contract. On the day of the wedding, the venue looked very nice. The Sage (Palazzo) has a Mediterranean feel. There is soft lighting which made for an intimate setting. Overall, the ceremony went off very well. The acoustics were nice, and there was enough room for our 80 guests to sit comfortably and watch the ceremony. The Sage (Palazzo) opened the bar and served appetizers while my wife and I took pictures. We did not get a chance to enjoy the appetizers, but our guests said they were good. Our DJ did an excellent job as master of ceremonies throughout the night. I initially did not want a DJ, but he proved his worth. The dinner was adequate. My guests enjoyed their meal, but I thought the food was just so-so. Our free dessert table was... tolerable. It was a bit odd because there were desserts like cannoli near bowls of smarties. There was also a mixed bowl of skittles and M&M's. I have no idea why someone would mix those two. The dessert table was listed at $500, and I would have been upset if it were not a free addition. I brought home-brewed beer for my guests (which I cleared with the venue well in advance) and they served it during the reception. At one point, they claimed to have run out. It turned out they had just left half of it in the back. They also claimed to have run out of the Gentleman Jack, Kaluha, moderately-priced scotch, and Bailey's when we collected our liquor at the end of the night. I am not suggesting any impropriety, but I am curious why the most expensive liquors were gone (especially when only 2 or 3 guests mentioned drinking the Kaluha and Bailey's). My father-in-law called about this, but did not hear back. There was also an unpleasant smell during the reception that nobody could pinpoint. I have no idea what it was, but it was distracting at times. Synopsis: I think the people at the Sage (Palazzo) are nice. The atmosphere is enjoyable. Downtown Clearwater is a nice area with lovely beaches and affordable hotels. If we could go back in time, my wife and I would have chosen another venue. I cannot recommend this location to anyone planning a wedding. While it is convenient to have the food and venue costs lumped together, I do not feel like I was able to trust them to keep their financial records straight. I personally did not have a high opinion of the food or the way the wedding was coordinated.

I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent stay 2.12-2.16 at this property. As a Platinum…read moreBonvoy member who utilized points for this visit, I had a stay that was highlighted by exceptional service but unfortunately marred by some smoking that was happening in our hallway to room.. I wanted to leave 5 stars... But couldn't I want to start by recognizing the phenomenal staff members who made a positive impact. Brendan at the front desk provided a wonderful check-in experience. Randy in the Mainstays Tavern took VIP-like care of us every time we visited, as did Lexi during our dinner. Jordan out folding all the pool towels. David maybe giving rides via golf cart to beach - very nice and appreciated. I also want to thank staff for the thoughtful birthday note and the "sun and fun" package waiting in our room. Additionally, Debra was incredibly kind when we stopped in for breakfast!! However, I found the digital portal communication to be less than desirable. I had to report a smoking violation at least four times. I also reported guests using the hot tub after hours due to the noise while I was trying to get my family to bed. While I did speak with the front desk night manager, who was apologetic regarding these repeated nuisances, I left feeling that my value as a loyal guest was not fully recognized. I appreciate the high level of service provided by your hospitality team and hope this feedback helps improve the response consistency for future stays. Wish I could give it 3.5 stars. We really wanted direct beach access which was the absolute best…read morepart, especially with the free golf cart rides to get down to the beach. There was just too many things that left us disappointed on our first trip here. There are 2 EV charging spots which was a lifesaver this trip and being a trolley stop was absolutely amazing for getting over the bridge into Clearwater Beach stress free. We saw pictures of a tennis and pickleball court online but those have been demolished and replaced by a grassy area :(. Thankfully sand bay tennis park is less than a mile away and the trolley does stop there. 3 volleyball courts which were great and sunsets 10/10! The Easter Egg hunt was a fun and unexpected treat for the kids :) well organized. I checked in early on the app, knowing it was a holiday weekend and there may not be rooms available early. We were able to pick up wristbands right away but we later found out these were not watched or enforced anywhere. In fact, you do not even need a key to enter the building from the pool/beach. I believe this added to the insane crowding at the pool. Could not find a pool chair at ALL - very stressful and had to set our belongings on the ground in order to swim. They could not keep up with the towels either and by 3-4PM, you could not get one at all. The pool bar had short hours and the line was insanely long every day. The pool bar shared the same line as ordering the food truck food which added to that chaos as well. On Friday the food truck shut down early as well. There was one water dispenser in the lobby but it was always empty. I felt like a bother asking the mainstay tavern for water. The food there was very good and we ordered to go. The gym was amazing 10/10. The beds were AWFUL 0/10 they are on a platform with absolute no give at all - ROCK hard!!! Had to walk across the street to the other Marriott location to get espresso coffee. The extra charges are too much - says $30/night to park but after taxes and fees it is $35 a night and $25 a night for the resort fee which doesn't cover anything but bikes as the trolley is already free. It is $45 to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella at the beach. The resort fee should offset this cost!!!!! The location is amazing but these extra charges are just too much and our stay left a lot to be desired. I also had a fraud charge immediately following paying for parking even though I used the QR code at the front desk and have not used that credit card for any other purchases - I wish this was charged directly through the hotel instead. It is not gated.

I've been here for two shows this spring and I absolutely love it! This venue is run by Ruth Eckerd…read moreHall and they do a great job. It is easy to purchase tickets on their website, easy to enter and easy to find your seat (if you have a seat.) If you don't have a seat, the lawn area is not too huge so you wouldn't be too far away. They have plenty of bars and booths to get other beverages. I didn't have to wait behind more than 2 people any time I got a drink. The bathrooms are inside and air-conditioned and the line moves pretty quick because the stalls in the ladies room has signs so you can see what ones are open. I do think they could still have used a few more ladies stalls because as you see everywhere, there is a line for the women but not the men. Another cool thing is they have several food trucks and even ice cream vendors. I visited the keilbasa truck before one show and it was good. The food from the other vendors looked good too. I actually had food from the chicken and waffle truck before when tbey were at my nearby library so I know their food is good too. The one downside is that it is in downtown Clearwater and parking is spread out. However, if you are willing to walk you can find free or affordable parking. I personally would rather spend my money on a drink than parking so I look for deals and am not sharing my secrets. Also, downtown Clearwater only has like 3 restaurants nearby so that's why it is important to have good food trucks at the venue. I will definitely be going to more shows here! It is so much nicer than it was before. The whole park is nice.
