I ordered 2 large orders of stuffed grape leaves (it supposedly contains 10 grape leaves per order) paid for the two orders the girl working there said she had more in the back.she then said that there are no more and that she would refund me. Which was fine but the total for both orders was $15.20 So the refund was supposed to be $7.10 she proceeds to only give me $5.00 back and says I can keep the change! I looked at her and told her that she still owes me my money. She opened the drawer again and Pulls out a one dollar bill. AGAIN I TOLD HER SHE STILL OWES ME MONEY! This time I showed her on the calculator exactly how much she STILL OWES! When I finally got my whole refund and noticed that the girl only put 9 grape leaves instead of 10 and she still had 2 in her serving tray! So she ripped me of 1 grape leaf. Never going back there again!!! They need to train on American money and how to do basic math. read more

Delicious!! I am so glad I gave this place a try!! They are fairly new (opened in August) and I'm delighted they're here!!! The food was absolutely delicious. We tried a little bit of everything but my absolute favorite was the Qalayet bandura ma lahme (pan of tomato with beef). This is eaten with pita bread (comes included) and even their pita is so yummy!! The tomato was perfect, melted in my mouth and the beef is such a great compliment. I also tried their beef shawarma sandwich- so good! Last, but not least we tried their chicken tawook plate - so savory!!! Everything tastes to perfection! I'm always looking for authentic cuisine and the minute I walked in here it reminded me so much of home (Palestine). They bring their olive oil directly from the home land!! If you know about Palestine, you know they're famous for their olive trees and olive oil. They have some of the oldest living olive trees there and they're so beautiful. Their olives and olive oil is to die for. Its so hard to get olive oil directly from Palestine so I'm glad people get a little taste when dining at Yafa. I certainly recommend eating here!!! I went for lunch with my two daughters. I ordered falafel wrap (bigger than the pita wrap), it was the best falafel sandwich I ever had. Had many stuff in it ( I pick what I want and how much) including my favorite Turshi (pickled turnip or cabbage). My daughter ordered the chicken shawarma. The same as the falafel sandwich. The food rivals if not better than the Zanko chicken chain in LA & Orange county. The food is cooked by the owner and not by someone out of the street trained for a few hours. My husband Alex and I have always wanted to stop by and check it out and today was the day. The food was amazing!!! We ordered 2 Shawarmas, I had chicken and my husband had beef and of course we have each other a slice and they both tasted divine! We made 1 a combo which was really nice, they included a small salad, pickles, pickled turnips, peppers and fries. There was so much food, we will have the leftovers for dinner. Went with my honey while doing laundry next door, as it is a new spot. Walked in and the two lady's said hello right away, very friendly. Menu is well put ,simple to read , food is fresh made and the place is clean! We went during a not so busy time, the service was quick. I got the hummus, it was amazing. It was very good, and the lady behind the counter offered the chance to customize--I got tahini, turnip pickles, and a bit of hot sauce. It was really good--I have roamed around Riverside trying out out all the falafel places, and this has been the best so far. Crispy. I am personally hit or miss with grape leaves and these were refreshing to eat after getting off work. If you like carne asada fries you will LOVE the Shawarma fries. Awesome staff. Lady at the front is both cashier and cook. She has a great personality. The food on the other hand was ok the first time I came but the second time was not as great as an experience. My wife and I both ordered felafel with our meals and it wasn't crispy as before (on the softer side) They were out of Pita so we couldn't order the pita sandwich, so we ended up with the bowl.
